While the series may not reach the same critical heights it did as with the inaugural season, things were finally starting to get interesting again. The Telltale Tool engine runs well, the art style is unique and fun to look at, and the writing has improved. If this is how things must end, it could have been much worse.

We leave The Walking Dead on a Telltale firmly willing to make mechanical and tonal risks, nearly all of which pay off well in this episode, hinting towards a bright future we may never get to see.

A stirring and often disturbing continuation of Telltale's final season of The Walking Dead, Suffer the Children is an effective episode that not only stands on its own merits but sets up a grand series finale too.

I am very impressed by how the story is coming along rather quickly. I love the callbacks to the past seasons and I love how a much requested characters finally made their return. The story is still taking its time but I think I like where it is heading. Lets hope Skybound can finish this game off right and end the series on a high note. Full Review »

What did surprise, even being speculated before, is that it comes up with a very interesting element from way back in the series past installments which was purposely left open, taking me right back the first season.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. One of the best The Walking Dead Telltale episodes in a very long time, with a huge surprise introducing The Whispers, really didn't see that coming, and another surprise with Lilly returning from season one. Also loved how you can determine Clementines sexual preference when choosing Violet or Louis.

Only a few negatives with a couple times the audio skipped dialogue although not sure if that's my PS4 messing up, and the ending was slightly anti-climatic considering the shocking ending in episode 1.
