    The Occupation is a classic example of a concept with great promise but poor execution. The massive amount of bugs that hamper progress and the lack of a proper stealth system constantly get in the way of being able to enjoy this admittedly unique experience.

    The Occupation doesn't live up to its promises. After one hour of investigation, the player won't even try to understand what's going on anymore, as the narration feels way too elusive. Not to mention all the technical issues (framerate drops, glitches) and the bland art direction. It's a shame, given the interesting themes mentioned in the game.

UK versinkt im Chaos – während Ihr als investigativer Journalist am Tatort nach der Wahrheit sucht. Das geschieht in reiner Schleichmanier, ganz ohne Waffen – dafür mit umso mehr Zeitdruck. The Occupation läuft nämlich in Echtzeit: Während Ihr im Regierungsgebäude nach kompromittierenden Daten sucht, tickt erbarmungslos die Uhr – denn in nur vier Stunden müsst Ihr durch sein. In verschlossene Räume gelangt Ihr derweil wie in Dishonored: So besorgt Ihr Euch von irgendwo eine Schlüsselkarte, nutzt alternativ einen Lüftungsschacht – oder schlüpft mit der Reinigungskraft rein. Beim komplett verdeckten Ermitteln wird aus Spannung jedoch gerne Frust: Die künstliche Intelligenz der Security ist unberechenbar, es gibt keinen Indikator, ob man Euch sieht oder hört und Zwischenspeichern ist nicht.
