Dec 17, 2018A puzzle game about self-mutilation. This game will give you the feels, unless you have no heart.

May 18, 2019It is a really good game. But it is not for everybody.
The story and the atmosphere are awesome but the controls can feel clunky. -
Oct 31, 2021This game is genuinely amazing from start to finish. Near perfection in every area. Except voice acting. But the voice acting isn't bad enough to lose a point.

Playstation Official Magazine UKNov 14, 2018Puzzles are clever, if occasionally finicky and for a long time you’ll wonder where it’s going. But when it finally shows its hand, The Missing becomes a heartfelt tale about identity, and the contortions we go through as we work out who we really are. Grab the Krispy Kremes and settle in with one of 2018’s most distinctive, memorable adventures. [Issue#156, p.86]

Nov 12, 2018Slightly clunky platforming and inconsistent visual presentation isn't enough to meaningfully detract from one of the most emotionally affecting and innovative action platformers on the market. If you enjoyed the likes of Inside and Limbo, you'll love The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories.

Nov 5, 2018The Missing is not the most perfect game we have seen this autumn, but it does have its heart in the right place. The bizarre platformaction has fun puzzles and a lovely story to really pull you in.
