    TLOU has been hyped up ever since the original launch. I managed to grab a PS5 and try this out and I do agree with most people with this is a fun game. The story is interesting and for a game that was released many years ago, the gameplay still holds up but even with the remastered version the graphics start to look a bit dated.

    The gameplay can at points be a bit repetitive but as with most story games, they're 'go to this place *something happens* now go to this place' so it's expected.

    A nice selection of guns but some of the skills are pointless and are literally just filler. Why upgrade your crafting speed when you can easily craft when in no danger whereas you can increase your health or item usage amount? The same goes with the gun upgrades, why upgrade mag size (when bullets aren't amazingly common) when you can upgrade damage/range? Either way, most of the weapon upgrades (apart from the bow) are pretty useless.

    I played this first time on hard mode and finished with 12 deaths. I was incredibly stingy with my ammo and items, finished with max ammo and a decent amount of crafting supplies too and prefered to use my ammo only in emergency situations which was few and far between. I'd say around 3/4 times the entire story where you feel a bit helpless and want to just start spraying bullets but can't due to resource management but overal felt the amount of supplies you find is way too much. You can play the entire game fully stocked and equipped.

    The stand out is the story, I'm not wanting to spoil anything but 90% of the time you're wanting to move forward, the other 10% of the time are tedious/boring parts which is where I'd usually call it a day and change game.
    The ending isn't as top-tier as people would make it out to be. When I finished the game it was more of a 'Is that it?' moment rather than 'That was fun!' but I guess the story before that makes up for the finish.    … Expand

The last of us, es un videojuego que supo hacer las cosas bien, nos cuenta la historia de cómo el mundo a raíz de una pandemia lleva al mundo al caos, desolación y a la constante lucha por la supervivencia, es un juego que a pesar de tener una premisa tan grande destaca mucho más por el vínculo que van teniendo los protagonistas Joel y ellie, el desarrollo de estos es algo digno de admirar, este juego es un Drama de principio a fin, en mi opinión fueuu bien llevado,, a pesar de tener una historia tal vez a este punto cliché el final y el desarrollo para este e algo totalmente inesperado y genial, los gráficos de este juego incluso al día de hoy 2021 se ven bastante bien es uno de los puntos altos del juego en especial los fondos, son preciosos están muy bien pulidos le da una estética genial al juego, las expresiones faciales son de lo mejor incluso en pleno 2021 a puertas del 2022 se ven más que convincentes y son cruciales en generar esa tensión y ese drama que hace que el expextador pueda distinguir los sentimientos y emociones de los protagonistas sin que éstos sean explícitos es algo sencillamente extraordinario, la jugabilidad es lo suficientemente buena para las exigencias del juego y el argumento de la historia, puedes ir disparando y peleando te con todos como en un COD o puedes ir matando con sigilo y evitando el combate directo, las mecánicas de apuntado son muy similares a las de uncharted pero excluye ciertas mecánicas como disparar cubriendo te, aunque no es necesaria, el juego tiene lo necesario para sentir que depende de ti el destino de la humanidad, la banda Sonora es maravillosa al igual que sus silencios no es la orquesta más apoteosica que veras en el mundo, pero para la historia y tipo de juego que es the last of us cumple perfectamente su rol. Podría decir mucho más de este juego pero, sólo me resta decir que me encantó y que todo jugador de playstation debería darle una oportunidad a este gran juego como yo que lo vine a pasar recién en 2021

    I only played the remastered verson but from what ive seen, it does look like a decent upgrade. The story in this game is incredible and well crafted. I found the game hard to get into at first but that soon changed.

    Great game, story, characters, a great dark emotional game. People are reviewing this game poorly because of the second game which makes no sense at all, only reason I don't think it's a 10 is because the encounters do get a little repetitive but everything else about the game is great

    Played this game so many times (PS3 included) and is still impressive how even after 8 years after is still so good at so many levels, was a game really ahead it's time.     1. Геймплей. Он ОЧЕНЬ скучный, спустя 2 часа игры я уже зевал и начинал засыпать.
    2. Сюжет. Его везде подают как лучший сюжет десятилетия, но в том же порицаемом контроле он был куда интересней и живей. Достаточно стандартная история родителей и детей.
    3. Второстепенные персонажи. Они все скучные, у них нет искры или харизмы.
    4. Геймдизайн. Его интуитивность - около нулевая.
    5. Стелс. Стелса тут много, а проработан он скучнейшим образом и сам сделан достаточно странно.

    Вердикт - самый переоцененный эксклюзив ПС4.    … Expand

    Самая переоценённая в мире игра. Два раза я пытался её пройти, но всё тщетно. Я обожаю стелс, и когда не проиграв в игру, я слышал возмущение моего друга, который в неё уже играл, что игра ему не нравится, ибо там постоянно стелс, я думал :"О, отлично, стелс... Обожаю его". Но я даже не представлял насколько нудный, и скучный геймплей и стелс меня ждут.Самая переоценённая в мире игра. Два раза я пытался её пройти, но всё тщетно. Я обожаю стелс, и когда не проиграв в игру, я слышал возмущение моего друга, который в неё уже играл, что игра ему не нравится, ибо там постоянно стелс, я думал :"О, отлично, стелс... Обожаю его".     Starting off with the goods is that the story and the writing in this game are amazing and gotta be somewhere near the perfect mark. It really knows how to pull on the heart strings. I am a stone hearted mother f****** and a tear even tried to crawl down my face during this game.     Starting off with the goods is that the story and the writing in this game are amazing and gotta be somewhere near the perfect mark. It really knows how to pull on the heart strings. I am a stone hearted mother f****** and a tear even tried to crawl down my face during this game. With how the characters are and the fact it doesn't explain everything into minor details. It doesn't treat the player like an idiot. The game also doesn't tell you every last thing you need to do. It lets you work things out for yourself. But if you are stuck in the same place for 15 minutes, walking round the same building then it will offer a hint. You can tell it to get lost and you wanna work it out for yourself or you can give into your frustrations and take the hint. You can roam the map and find items that you then craft up different items to aid in your adventure. The crafting isn't so much essential which is why its done well. I normally don't like games that force you to craft 24/7 just to be able to progress. But this game I thought it was a good feature. Items as well are easy to find. You haven't gotta look around the map to much although I would say its better to do so. You also find these little pill shaped things which can give your character small perks like extra heath and stuff. Again not essential but good to find them. 1 last upgrade option is your weapons. You find these bolt things which allow you to build attachments for your guns, extended mags, longer range, less sway and so on. You start off being able to carry 1 hand gun and 1 bigger gun and the rest goes into your bag. This then makes it when you wanna switch out you have to open your bag and swap the weapons. This takes around 10 seconds. But you can get extra holsters which allows you to carry 2 of each weapon instead. They have thought allot about all these things in order to give the player more things to work towards. How to go through each encounter. It's not an easy game by any means. I was playing on normal and this was difficult but fun. If you think you have set the difficulty to high then no stress because you can change it any point you like in the settings. There is 4 different difficulty options so I can't imagine what the hardest 1 is like and dont think il have the skill to complete it on that setting any time soon. Trophy's in this game are like gold dust. You never get them. I was playing for around 3 hours before I got 1 for crafting 1 of each item.
    The graphics are still great to this day and this game is near 8 years old. Sony games always managed to push the hardware. I suppose they should as they built the console. They must give their studios information about how to optimise games in the best possible way for the playstation. (joke). The gameplay overall feels solid. At times it does show its age thou. The AI just does dumb sh*t that makes no sense. For example, if you grab a guy from the back and take him down no one knows. But if he sees you and then you smash him round the head and kill him then everyone and their mothers know where you are? This was really frustrating at times and made stealth allot more frustrating then it needed to be. Especially the fact that without stealth completing this game would be impossible as you never have any ammunition. A guy shoots 1 bullet at you and then you kill him but he doesn't drop any bullets. So that guy was just walking round with 1 bullet in his gun. No surprise thou because thats what I been doing through out the hole game. So I have no bullets and have to resort to stealth but the stealth is annoying because you kill someone before they have chance to open their mouth but now everyone knows where I am, I can't fight everyone because the game has no ammo spawns. Seriously why didn't you just let me make ammo in the crafting options? I can make a bomb but I can't make shotgun shells? People make shotgun shells using coins irl so this would make sense if added to the game.
    This game clearly wanted to be more realistic thou. Rather than 1 person killing 100 people in 1 shootout. So it does make sense why they don't give the player 100 bullets for each gun. But the amount they do give you is just wrong. You can hold 7 bullets for the rifle. And people survive headshots from the pistol. So if you wanna take the realistic approach then why the hell can I shoot a man in the face and him shake it off like nothing happened? Is he some hybrid infected or something? But if these issues weren't present then the game would be a 10 because I really enjoyed playing it. Its just annoying that these are such obvious things and for some reason they released the game with those issues present. I love having a playstation because Sony likes the keep the good times rolling and still to this day they are making games for the Story mode. There is no denying that their story's are amazing.    … Expand

    Questo gioco rasenta lo stato dell’arte, la perfetta congiunzione tra cinema e videogioco con una trama spettacolare, che sicuramente non ha un idea originale alla base, ma che si sviluppa in maniera del tutto originale con colpi di scena imprevedibili e con un finale commovente. Tutto questo è condito da un on-Line non perfetto ma divertente.

    Uno de los mejores juegos de la historia, game play perfecto, historia perfecta, mecánicas perfectas, el único pero que le pondría es que siento que falta más exploración y no hay humanos vs infectados, aunque en el dlc si hay eso.

    I’m close to be 29. I had a chance to play in a lot of games, but this one is simply the best game ever in my life. Gameplay, graphics, level design - just great. And a story + cut scenes with music - my God… the combination of them is just magnificent. 10 tear drops of 10

    Pros: This game still holds up, i think the story especially is still one of the best you ll ever find in a videogame. It s such an emotional rollercoaster. The gameplay still has a lot to offer, the stealth might be a little to easy or bland, but there is still a lot of creativeness you can try.     Great game, and unlike most zombie shooters, this one is actually well thought through, centred around stealth, survival, and a beautiful storyline. I can easily understand all the rave about Last Of Us, as it truly is a beautiful game, with a great deal of attention having been put into details. While I'm very much fond of it, and looking forward to playing the second chapter, I don'tGreat game, and unlike most zombie shooters, this one is actually well thought through, centred around stealth, survival, and a beautiful storyline. I can easily understand all the rave about Last Of Us, as it truly is a beautiful game, with a great deal of attention having been put into details. While I'm very much fond of it, and looking forward to playing the second chapter, I don't believe it measures to the likes of GTA or RDR, hence not the perfect score.… Expand

    The relationship between Joel and Ellie was great, but besides that the narrative was extremely bland with boring side characters besides one pair near the end. It mainly consists of repetitive puzzles and looking at a building in the distance then proceeding to trudge there through a bunch of run of the mill human and zombie encounters then rince and repeat.

    I'm always a bit hesitant to rate a game a 10. In fact, I've never done it before. But The Last Of Us simply wowed me. Writing this review about a year after playing the game and I still catch myself recalling key moments in the game.

    Challenging, captivating, and gut-wrenching. The cutscenes meld seamlessly with gameplay.

    The Last Of Us is a game I had lying around for 3 months before a friend convinced me it was worth playing, to put it shortly he was correct.     Naughty Dog just nailed this one. It's a perfect blend of story, atmosphere and gameplay. I still haven't played the sequel but Last of Us 1 is one of my best PS experiences ever.

    Joel is one of the most complex protagonists I've ever seen, sometimes his actions are villainous and selfish but he's so well written, you can definitely see where he's coming from, his loss impacts the story a lot and you feel his pain throughout the whole game.
    Ellie on the other hand, is    I don't like Post Apocalyptic Survival games but The Last of Us is something more than that.

    Ellie on the other hand, is the perfect deuteragonist, she is a deep character with a tragic past but she's represented as sweet, happy and quirky, which shows that she is still a kid after all. In terms of gameplay, she never gets in your way and helps in combat as much as she can.

    The story itself is pretty simple on paper but it's very well written, and the pacing is absolutely perfect.

    Now for the negatives, the game is very linear, and the secondary characters are forgettable.
    That being said, despite some minor flaws, I think that this game is absolutely timeless and definitely deserves to be in PlayStation's Hall of Fame.

    Fantastic game. Involving storyline. Joel and Ellie are great characters. Post apocalyptic city landscapes are brilliantly done. Shame about the sequels storyline. Makes you realise how good the original was.

    Music is quite alright. I mean, most of tracks aren't worth noticing and are easily forgettable, but there're a few entries that are freaking outstanding.
    Graphics don't seem very outdated. Moreover, I don't see a genuine reason to improve over games's current visual appearance, so TLOU's 'Remake' is just a last cash grab.
    Story and characters are the best redeeming qualities. Their quality aren't by any case groundbreaking since there're tons of things in cinematography and literature being more complex and intriguing, but it's definitely good.

    Once again, I'm not trying to say The last of Us is a bad game by any means, but uugh... I don't really get why would an experienced gamer kill for this game.    … Expand

    What a fantastic game. I think I want to like stealth games but rarely like them. This game to me does stealth perfectly. I loved the story and most of the characters. The perfect balance of scavenging, combat, feeling open world but really linear, stealth and probably a lot of other great things. Just give this game a chance.

    A good game that have some interesting survivors mechanics with knives, bricks, crafts, the aim been not that good, etc. But the game is kind overrated in the subject of the story, the bound between Joel and Ellie is amazing, but that's it... the rest is a common survivor zombie story and game. That said the winter part is awesome and the pittsburgh one is terrible.

    This is one of the best games I have ever played. I've played it at least 4 times since its original release on the PS3. It has an easily digestible story and lovable characters. Gameplay isn't groundbreaking, but when it originally came out the thought of being able to move ladders and planks around to solve puzzles was awesome. I highly recommend everyone plays this game, it is a classic.

    This game is by far one of the best single-player games of the 2010s decade. I told my girlfriend to play through the beginning, it had her in tears, she is not a gamer. It is rare for a game to tug my emotions and keep my attention, but The Last Of Us had me captivated from start to finish.

    A post-apocalyptic road trip that offers a fantastic, riveting experience, where destruction and beauty, and hope and despair, get entwined in a way that’s nothing short of genius, The Last of Us is so good that its somewhat repetitive, and occasionally dull gameplay isn’t enough to rob it of its rightful place amongst the video game greats. Therefore, if looking for an unforgettable action-adventure, with strong cinematic sensibilities, and a heavy emphasis in adult, character-driven storytelling, look no further than Naughty Dog’s classic, especially now that the remastered version has made the original even more stunning.
