    My outlook on gaming was forever changed after playing this years ago on a borrowed PS4 before buying one of my own just to re-experience the title. Incredible graphics and art style for its time, atmospheric music, perfectly written characters, and a well-crafted linear campaign with decent multiplayer. PlayStation's best title, and one of the greatest video games of all time.

    I don't like Post Apocalyptic Survival games but The Last of Us is something more than that.
    Joel is one of the most complex protagonists I've ever seen, sometimes his actions are villainous and selfish but he's so well written, you can definitely see where he's coming from, his loss impacts the story a lot and you feel his pain throughout the whole game.
    Ellie on the other hand, is    I don't like Post Apocalyptic Survival games but The Last of Us is something more than that.
    Joel is one of the most complex protagonists I've ever seen, sometimes his actions are villainous and selfish but he's so well written, you can definitely see where he's coming from, his loss impacts the story a lot and you feel his pain throughout the whole game.

    Ellie on the other hand, is the perfect deuteragonist, she is a deep character with a tragic past but she's represented as sweet, happy and quirky, which shows that she is still a kid after all. In terms of gameplay, she never gets in your way and helps in combat as much as she can.

    The story itself is pretty simple on paper but it's very well written, and the pacing is absolutely perfect.

    Now for the negatives, the game is very linear, and the secondary characters are forgettable.
    That being said, despite some minor flaws, I think that this game is absolutely timeless and definitely deserves to be in PlayStation's Hall of Fame.

    Personally the most addictive game series I have ever played. The story touched me on several emotional levels that no other game has succeeded with... Definitely a 10/10!

    The game took me over 16 hours to beat, and I do not regret investing that time. The Last of Us is a perfect story video game. The game perfectly immerses you in a world with rich characters and story, the voice talent, music, and locations adding to the feeling of a real world ridiculously well. The game mechanics are unique and fulfilling, I much preferred the stealth options even though it often resulted in a more difficult time getting through encounters. The crafting system is pretty well thought out and I found myself using all the items presented, it doesn't feel overwhelming. The gun play is definitely a shining aspect as well, finding that perfect head-shot for an instant kill is always rewarding. However, I did enjoy the different weapons to choose from but my play-through ended up relying heavily on the Bow and Revolver for large portions. It's pretty funny to me thinking about how Joel's running around with an entire arsenal on his back. The collectibles are better than most game due to the characters often commenting on them when they're found, and the extra dialogue options remind me a lot of Uncharted, they're fun little bits of additional dialogue that are great at making the characters feel as though they genuinely exist. My only gripe is that at times it felt as though you were repeating the same sections as you had previously, but I found that the differing locations mostly dulled that feeling. The game has a camera feature that I used quite a lot, the scenery just calls for trying to get awesome shots! All in all, this game should be played by anyone that wants and enjoys an unforgettable experience. A genuine 10/10!… Expand

Cela reste du bon travail tout de même, d’autant que le (dispensable) DLC ‘Left Behind’ est inclus et bien entendu remastérisé lui aussi.

    On retrouve également une excellent traitement sonore, une excellente VF mais aussi les infâmes QTE et une interface toujours perfectible… Ce ‘Last of Us’ reste évidemment plus agréable dans cette version et encore plus percutant que jadis, malgré encore trop de séquences scriptées à la Uncharted (dur d’abandonner les mauvaises habitudes chez Naughty Dog…). Mais vu le résultat sur une PS4 de base, on aurait tort de faire la fine bouche !    … Expand

    Story is masterfull, but the gameplay is not great, very run of the mill. Not exacly the masterpiece it is generallu regarded as, but it is good. One of my favorite endings to a piece of media.

    An amazing game compared to the second of the series. The story is what drives the player to continue playing.
    Fun and even scary at times with the zombies running at you. The father daughter relationship is also brilliant and I wish the second game of the series was just as good but it was total g@rbge.

    The Last Of Us (2013) will forever be one of the greatest games ever made because it has truly changed the way games can tell stories. The graphics still hold up super well and the gameplay is great, but what truly makes the game a masterpiece is with its story, writing, and characters. If you haven't played it yet, then play it, you won't be disappointed.

    People say that this remaster added nothing to the game but I think that that is completely wrong. For 60 Euros you got to experience one of the greatest video games of all time with updated graphics and added DLC. The best part is that now in 2023 it has dropped down to 10 Euros and you can even play it on your PS5. This is a must play.

    A satisfactory gloss of paint for the PS3 masterpiece. I found this game far too dark, however, despite trying my best to adjust it. Had no problems with the PS3 version or the PS5 remake.

    Obviously the story is the main course here, nobody would ever tell you otherwise, but sadly for a near ten year old game (this is a remaster, not a remake) the gameplay feels clunky, you really just go from place to place taking cover and shooting enemies, as a enjoyer of TLOU2 I much prefer the gameplay in that even though the story was not up to the standards for some people.

    When I first played this game, I didn't think much of it. But there was something that drew me back to it years later. And now I'd say it's one of--if not--the best story in all gaming. Appreciated the voice acting and performances with each playthrough.

    I've already known this game would be a great game, so my expectation was high, even that, I finished this game impressed. This game is like a great movie. Ellie and Joel are a nice and exciting double, nice songs, nice art, nice story. I really don't know what bad could I say about The Last of Us.

    the game is full of technical issues, broken AI; immersion-breaking logic and mechanics, the story is literally every zombie movie ever, nothing really very original.
    The sets designs are amazingly detailed and the models look real good, the acting is great, but im playing a game not watching a movie.
    The sequel is much much better.

    Wasn't sure I'd ever get around to this. It had pretty much been spoiled for me already, and I've already played TLOU2. The HBO series finally gave me the kick in the pants to pull this out of my backlog, as I was sure I wasn't familiar with the majority of the story. It holds up, and it's good; now excuse me while I go cry in the shower...

    It's an ok zombie game (not exactly original) hyped beyond oblivion. Nice graphics, music? I don't even remember it. Gameplay is a mix of exploration, fighting and stealth in a somewhat open areas. It's fine, really, just not exactly the best game ever.

    All these years later, this game is still very beautiful and with a fantastic story. Over the years I have noticed various reviews as if Joel and Ellie were father and daughter. However, this statement is not true, they are complete strangers, at least at the moment when they meet.
    The DLC Left Behind was interesting and talked about Ellie's personality, how she managed when Joel was sick and about friendship that Elli has brought to daylight in the main game. It was pretty short, but with a fantastic story.

    Even nowadays this game is an absolute masterpiece. The thing to know is that the characters and story are genuinely top tier thanks to how Neil Druckmann created a person who is unbelievably relatable even going as far as to doing something normal people wouldn't do at the end. The enemies and zombies are unique meaning you need to be careful and pay attention what to do since some zombies (Oh sorry I mean to call them "infected" since that's what they're called in this game) could just be your typical zombies while a certain enemy could insta kill you if you're not careful especially if your ammunition is limited (unlike the Flopisto Protocol that apparently involves similar enemies and instead involves mindless hitting no matter the enemy type). Playing the game on my PS4 Pro still looks surprisingly good even nowadays but definitely not on par with the best looking PS4 games but that's to be expected considering this was a late PS3 game. The pacing is brilliant and keeps the story engaging (unlike the sequel but I'll talk about that in another review). The included Left Behind DLC is surprisingly good since it offers an idea what the other characters went through before this journey began and a certain scene which I personally don't mind and I can understand why people hate it, but DO NOT believe anyone who gives it a 0 just for that reason alone. However, the main problem I have with this game is with the included multiplayer Factions since while it's still a decent amount of fun since it uses the same gameplay as the campaign meaning it can be satisfying when you throw a molotov cocktail at someone or hitting someone with an upgraded melee weapon, this is only the case FOR THE MOST PART; the reason I say that is because due to how this is a remaster of a 2013 game on the PS3, the shooting and gameplay feel TERRIBLE since your character feels so stiff like when your character stops moving even though you never took your thumb off the left analog stick and it can feel unfair when they manage to kill you not because you didn't react in time, but because the stiffness and clunky shooting messed you up and it doesn't help there are some pay-to-win microtransactions (especially the shotguns as those are OVERPOWERED AF). Overall, while the multiplayer doesn't ruin the game for me, it definitely ruins the PACKAGE as a whole and I was actually glad they removed the multiplayer in the remake but that never stopped me from adoring this game from the bottom of my heart and speaking of that, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND this game from the top of my heart IF you don't have a PS5 which at that rate, just pick up the remake but if you don't, why don't you already have this game already?… Expand

    I fell in love with this game when I was 16 after watching it through walkthroughs on YouTube, mainly Pewdiepie. I didn't have any consoles of my own yet but I would religiously watch walkthroughs and I was content enough with that. I finally was able to play in 2020 and fell even more in love with the game, to me it is a masterpiece and deserves every single award it won and more.

    I loved the original game so I had to play at this remastered version! I'm glad I did it because the game is still as good as the original but with better graphics (and you have the DLC included).

    I think this is a game that relies heavily on its story and characters, which are phenomenal. The gameplay itself is still fun albeit maybe slightly repetitive. I would give this 0.2 less than the second game solely because of the actual game but what brings this up is definitely the story.

    It's pretty much the same game, except for two noticeable additions.
    First being the one and only "Left Behind" DLC for the original game.
    Last but not least is the 60 fps mode, which makes an already solid game even more enjoyable.

    Truly a masterpiece. Even 10 years later, and after many, many 10/10 games came out, this is still my favorite game of all time. Not the best, mind you, but my favorite. The story, the world, the people and everything in it is simply phenomenal. Truly recommend, specially in Grounded difficulty, if you like a true survival experience with an amazing story-

    Story is amazing but the gameplay loop bored me at times to the point where I had to lower the difficulty so I could speed run the story. Encountered couple bugs like enemies respawning and my arrows being gone after my death.

    One of my favorite games of all time. The graphics are enhanced and great as usual, everything else is the same. If you love TLOU you will love the remaster. It's a greta game and series.

    Everyone knows that The Last Of Us in a masterpiece.
    From the story and the characters to the gameplay and soundtrack, it gets everything just right.
    The game is a must play and easily the best PS3 exclusive.

    Music is quite alright. I mean, most of tracks aren't worth noticing and are easily forgettable, but there're a few entries that are freaking outstanding.
    Graphics don't seem very outdated. Moreover, I don't see a genuine reason to improve over games's current visual appearance, so TLOU's 'Remake' is just a last cash grab.
    Story and characters are the best redeeming qualities. Their quality aren't by any case groundbreaking since there're tons of things in cinematography and literature being more complex and intriguing, but it's definitely good.

    Once again, I'm not trying to say The last of Us is a bad game by any means, but uugh... I don't really get why would an experienced gamer kill for this game.    … Expand

    In my humble opinion, the whole shooting part of the game wasn't as fun as I wanted it to be. The mechanics of the game in general were very good. The story was incredible! I adored it! The same applies to the scenes and the music. They both were captivating. Loved it overall.

The tightly knitted story is unmatched and it is the reason why this game is a staple in so many peoples library.     Definitely the best story there is out there. It's immersive, creative and emotional. The characters and cinematics are all wonderful and it is a must play experience, especially someone new to Naughty Dog.

    i get this game with my ps4 back in 2017 when my dad had bought it. i didnt play it until this year and i regret that i played this game too late. Amazing and in my top 5 favourite.

    A post-apocalyptic road trip that offers a fantastic, riveting experience, where destruction and beauty, and hope and despair, get entwined in a way that’s nothing short of genius, The Last of Us is so good that its somewhat repetitive, and occasionally dull gameplay isn’t enough to rob it of its rightful place amongst the video game greats. Therefore, if looking for an unforgettable action-adventure, with strong cinematic sensibilities, and a heavy emphasis in adult, character-driven storytelling, look no further than Naughty Dog’s classic, especially now that the remastered version has made the original even more stunning.
