Jan 25, 2020The Last of Us has great writing and voice work, but suffers from tired gameplay mechanics and linear design. This straightforward port does little more than slap a new coat of paint upon a solid, but overrated PS3 adventure. Still--if you missed the last-gen hype-train, this is your ticket to see what all the babbling was about.

Aug 13, 2014of all the "best games of all time" that came out last year, I'd actually put Last of Us near the bottom. But the PS4 version is an improvement and the 60fps makes the game more playable. it doesn't improve the pacing or hackneyed story though. yep, i'm a hater. but look, i still gave it a 7.

Nov 6, 2015Great production values including graphics, sound design, story and characters. However, the game itself just feels boring. Every time it almost feels as if I was trying to grind my way to the next cutscene, and that's not a great feeling to have in a game, especially in a survival horror one. Maybe it's critically acclaimed, sure, but the game for me just didn't do nearly as much.

Aug 12, 2014nice gameplay
awesome story
I am still enjoying it
although it could have been better for ps4 in graphics
and I believe that they copied metro in designing the environment -

Nov 15, 2018Probably one of the most over rated games of all time. It's got good voice acting, but the storlyline was fairly mediocre. Visually it's nice, but the controls are clunky sometimes.
9.1?... Yeah, no. -
Mar 8, 2017This is a good game i have to admit but it is nowhere near as good as it's hyped up to be. Without spoiling anything for those that haven't played. The story line is good and well worth a play through, multiplayer mode can be fun but it's never going to keep you coming back for more than a few days. Overall it's worth a look in.

Aug 12, 2020I have a lot of respect for the story being told but I feel like the gameplay is only halfway there , This is a game I would recommend everybody to play once but it's not really that good to replay, and I know it I have played it for the third time

Apr 24, 2021A fun game, but the game itself feels slow. The story isn’t amazing, the game play isn’t amazing, but they are all good and fun. I like it. This is a good game, and should be played by PlayStation players.

Aug 28, 2017Un bel gioco ma non il capolavoro per cui viene spacciato . Alla fine ha un gamelay sufficiente e una trama mediocre raccontata in modo eccelso . Sicuramente il gioco più sopravvalutato della storia , per adesso

Nov 12, 2017Thought I would be getting a great game. I was wrong. With The Last of Us comes a compelling story ruined by repetitive and boring gameplay, and a cringy 14 year old. At least she redeems herself in the later half of the game, as my favourite part of the game was the winter season, and I enjoyed the Left Behind DLC much more than the main game.

Sep 19, 2018Good game, but not completely earned the hype it got. It is quite good, nothing really to bother aout, but i didn't catch me as other games did. there was not a single point, where i thought "oh one more level/area" and i suddenly was 3 am.

Nov 16, 2018A pleasant game.
Definitly one of the GOTG of the 7th generation, but it feel a bit outdated these day (just my opinion).
I still had a great time, the story is pretty solid with gorgeous graphics on the PS4 Pro.
I recommand anyone to play it with the "Playstation Hit" collection (and its price). -

Mar 18, 2019Great story and soundtrack, but highly overrated in every other aspect. The forced stealth mechanics almost drove me out of this game.
-
Jul 17, 2019The game is boring to madness. You can buy, but I do not advise !!! The plot is average. I don't understand why people love her so much! I think this game deserves 7/10! This is the most common game.

Jan 3, 2022It's a good game but for me it wasn't anything special. The story was quite good and characters were good written but it's not anything new that I've ever seen before.
-
Jun 19, 2020Fun game with a good story, you can see Amy Hennig wrote this and not Chris Druckmann.
I would not give it a higher score than 7 because it's a linear experience with some action in between. -
Jun 2, 2021Too much walking based simulation for a pretentious game which should have been fun in the first place. Not good at all.
-
Jun 21, 2020This game is so much better than part 2. This is a very good game but has some bad parts
-
Jun 25, 2020A good game with an interesting story and a good atmosphere. The problem, however, is that the gameplay is very repetitive. You are in the underground, you fight zombies, the door is locked, you have to find something to open it while avoiding zombies.Over and over again.

Jul 1, 2020oh man even after 7 years this game still deserves to be playing one of the best ps3 games of naugthy dog
-
Jul 18, 2020The relationship between Joel and Ellie makes this game worth it.
Enemy AI and the stealth mechanics are clunky and feel dated. However, the gameplay is second to the storytelling and character development of Joel and Ellie. -

Dec 11, 2021The relationship between Joel and Ellie was great, but besides that the narrative was extremely bland with boring side characters besides one pair near the end. It mainly consists of repetitive puzzles and looking at a building in the distance then proceeding to trudge there through a bunch of run of the mill human and zombie encounters then rince and repeat.

Mar 29, 2022Played this game 2021. It's the definition of "didn't age well" for me. Story was cliché. Gameplay was bad. I was trying to be super stealthy and npcs around me were runing/jumping around and it felt stupid and anticlimactic. Also I like more gameplay in my games and less movies. Felt like an interactive movie and less of a game.
-
Jun 3, 2022It’s okay, not bad or Amazing. Definitely a little over hyped. It was my first PS exclusive game and it was a little disappointing but still well worth the play.

Jan 30, 2023Solid game but worse than Jak. Poor gameplay variety (all you do is walk and fight). Good story and environments.
-
Apr 26, 2023Not much to say really, it is the last of us its amazing. Story is great, characters are great, world building is great but the game play was a bit on the average side and bored me most of the time.
-
Aug 6, 2023The story is definitely worth playing, and the title itself on the list of games is a mustplay. However, I don't think the gameplay is anything special. The system of collecting raw materials and obtaining weapons from them does not appeal to me with its simplicity. The stealth nature of the game seems boring to me.
-
May 19, 2020It is a movie you "play" through. Only choice you can make is to go guns blazing or sneaking past. No choices in the story, no choices in where you go. It is ok-ish, but not nearly a top game at all.

Nov 14, 2014PS3 version was one of the best games of 2013 (Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider beat it for me). I had hopes for the PS4 version to shine ... but was disappointed. The 'remaster' didn't change much including graphics.
If you played it on PS3, don't bother with this one. If you did not, then definitely get this game. Would score a solid 8 if a new game. -

Jan 24, 2023the game is full of technical issues, broken AI; immersion-breaking logic and mechanics, the story is literally every zombie movie ever, nothing really very original.
The sets designs are amazingly detailed and the models look real good, the acting is great, but im playing a game not watching a movie.
The sequel is much much better. -

May 25, 2021For some reason, I couldn't really get into this game as much as I wanted to. The story was good but I found myself getting bored of repeated, similar encounters and getting lost on occasion. I personally didn't really get into the story until the final third. The hint system was a nice touch for someone like me who does get lost easily and I think more games should have this option.

Jul 28, 2020A post-apocalyptic road trip that offers a fantastic, riveting experience, where destruction and beauty, and hope and despair, get entwined in a way that’s nothing short of genius, The Last of Us is so good that its somewhat repetitive, and occasionally dull gameplay isn’t enough to rob it of its rightful place amongst the video game greats. Therefore, if looking for an unforgettable action-adventure, with strong cinematic sensibilities, and a heavy emphasis in adult, character-driven storytelling, look no further than Naughty Dog’s classic, especially now that the remastered version has made the original even more stunning.
-
CD-ActionOct 22, 2014Visual improvements and three included DLCs don’t justify buying this game again, but if you haven’t played it on PS3 yet, you’re in for long hours of valuable entertainment. [Sept 2014, p.59]
