    Just needed to drop in to say that this is the first time I think that the credibility of professional game critics has really been called into question. I have been a vigilant defender of professional game reviewers, finding them to be significantly more in-tune with what the population at large considers "good" and "bad" than the average film critic. I always thought that this had to do with the stigma surrounding gaming; there was never any clout to be had, no influence to be gained or used, no desire to cultivate a certain image, and no desire to be anything other than just a group of people enthusiastic about their chosen hobby/artistic medium. Have games become too big for that now? Are we now going to be subjected to the howling wilderness that is modern film criticism? In the past, I always used professional reviews/metacritic scores as the biggest part (along with my personal taste) of my decision in whether or not to buy a game because I found them to be mostly right on the nose (Demon's Souls was critically acclaimed at launch, well before it became a commercial success). I guess those days are coming to an end now.… Expand

I have to say that the narrative and interactive experience is the best I have played in the PS4 era, and the performance of music and pictures is also top-notch. But this cerebral palsy plot ruined everything.
    Joel can die, but he can't die so stupidly, Ellie can be kind, but he can't be so kind. It feels like the entire production team is enjoying the process of destroying all the original characters. nausea    … Expand

    Wow... Just wow. Naughty dog went from creating one of the greatest masterpieces of all time to this heap of steaming poop. Great world design, sound, and animation. Horrid story, characters, and gameplay. The game is bleak, unfun, violent, and repeatedly beats you over the head with political propaganda at the expense of any resemblance of a well crafted story.     This game is a shame, seven years waiting for a great sequel and they create a ridiculous story like that, the priority was not the fans but putting all possible agendas in a game. Even a five-year-old child would have made a better story. The beautiful graphics and details don't save anything when the main focus is the narrative.

    The game went through and it seemed to me very secondary and almost no different from the first part, many even cried from the finale, but the ending seemed to me not twisted, in the same Ori: and the will of the wisps the story is much better and the ending is more dramatic

    They changed the characters to appease a group of people that don't even buy video games in the first place, I hope this serve as an example to other gaming companies what not to do.

    Super disappointed. I had lots of high hopes for this game just for it to be flushed all away. The game was beautiful but the story telling was just a big f you to the fans.

    Gameplay and graphics are vastly improved from the first game. Story is complete garbage with nothing but shock value tactics and unlikable characters that the game tries to get you to empathise with.

    i was so hyped for this game 20 and something hours later i finished the game and all i can say is this is one of the most disappointing games i have played this year and here why

    pros: - the visuals looks great every detail and everything is just wow - sound is top notch from the music to the sound of the zombies - voice acting is really good -the world building and map    i was so hyped for this game 20 and something hours later i finished the game and all i can say is this is one of the most disappointing games i have played this year and here why

    - ending was a piece of hot garbage

    -antagonist is basically useless and gets away with way to much

    - devs basically destroyed everything they built in the previous game

    as you see this game is divided into two parts gameplay and story the gameplay of this game improved so much and props to them but the story just took a deep nose dive and ruined the whole franchise and because the story is the important part because this is a story based game the game just fails miserably

    in conclusion (and it really pains me to say this because the first game was a 1010) this game deserves a 4 out of 10 i do not recommend this game just play the first one and end it there in the end all i can say is LOOK HOW THEY MASCARAED MY BOY    … Expand

    This game has nothing to do with its predecessor. The scenario is horrible, politically oriented and compete nonsense. Where are the infected? The gameplay is average and the graphics have not much improved since episode one. I don't recommend it, as a fan of the first episode, I was deeply disappointed.

First game was a masterpiece story that evolved with characters we came to love throughout game, feeling genuine emotions when Ellie was in danger As a fatherly figure trying to protect her it gave us beautiful experience.     I am so sorry I bought this game.. How reviewers gave this game 10 out of 10 makes me wonder how much they were paid to do so ? You guys have a responsibility to the public to give an honest review of something and not let your review be bought by a company for the sake of generating sales.

    Guys, this game has nice graphics, and nice mechanics, but the story / plot / character    I am so sorry I bought this game..     Guys, this game has nice graphics, and nice mechanics, but the story / plot / character development is horrid. They completely trashed The Last Of Us 1 here. I wish I didnt buy this game, I should have saved the money for ghosts of tsushima.

    A disservice to the whole gaming community. As a story-centered game the story is extremely important, and being as bad as it is the wight on the score is massive. Technically it's an "OK" game (gameplay, graphics, sound) but the story is hot garbage.

This feels like if in Rdr2 after Micah beats Arthur to a pulp instead of going to kill him as John you play as Micah for the next 10 hours doing nothing except helping a trans cowboy get accepted that ends up killing the people that don't agree with him.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
