    Typical SJW garbage, gameplayand mechanicswas never the strong suit of naughty dog. They had one thing going for them and that was their ability to tell a good narrative and they even screwed that up. Another one bites the dust.

    Complete disappointment, this is a master class on how to ruin your IP, same old gameplay, one dimensional characters and bad story writing, the only good thing about it is the graphics which so many games have achieved that level before so it is not something ground breaking. utter trash!

    Bought this discounted having been a huge fan of the first game. Hated the direction they took this in. Absolute disservice to the franchise. Shameful. Imagine playing god of war where they dissmisively kill off kratos.

    A garbage game for a garbage console, I fiddled into it for exactly six hours, when I had to play as a woman-man, I turned off the game and permanently deleted it from my account, graphics of 2012, 15 fps in scenes with more than 3 enemies, plot the retarded, mentally ill Dryckmana, in general, this game should be in the trash, like the console itself.

    This game subverted my expectations: I thought they were going to make a good story, but then Naughty Dog subverted that hope by making a crap story instead. It was preachy, hypocritical, and a depressing waste of time. I played TLOU at least a half dozen times, and I sold TLOU2 the day after I finished it. I guess they were going for shock value instead of actual good story telling? If you have to play it, then get a used copy at least. Don’t pay for crap and reward the abuse to the developers who were forced to work insane hours in a crunch culture. Also the game forces you to kill dogs as “the evil character”. Thanks for that. I’m not a troll and I’m pro LGBTQ rights, but this story was just insulting. I played it months ago now and still can’t get over how bad it was, especially compared to the first. I’m going to seriously hesitate before ever playing a game from this developer again.… Expand

    This game has outdated gameplay ripped straight out of the first The Last of Us. It brings no new innovations to gameplay and it is still just a mediocre gears of war/metal gear solid clone. The AI is terrible and is easy to take out, even on the hardest difficulty. Oh and big deal, the characters you kill all have names and will call out for each other. I haven’t even mentioned the horrible story and how Abby is one of the worst characters in any game. Ellie deciding not to kill Abby is also ridiculous because she literally killed all of Abby’s friends, even going so far as to bash Nora’s head in with a lead pipe. It’s funny too because Ellie basically saves Abby in the end and let’s her go because she otherwise most likely would have died on the beach. How are we as an audience supposed to care about Abby? She threatens to kill a pregnant woman in front of her girlfriend, shoots Tommy in the face, murders Joel with a golf club, shoots Jessie in the face and we are expected to care about her? Let alone like her? Big deal, her dad saved a Zebra from some barbed wire, who cares? I know I don’t. And why does every game today have to shove a political agenda down everyone’s throat? I enjoyed the first Last of Us despite its flaws, but I’m afraid now I will never buy another Naughty Dog game again. Filmmakers and game directors need to stop directly attacking the people that consume their products. Someone please fire Neil ****… Expand

    The gameplay is average, the graphics are great, however the story and writing are terrible. Since this is a story driven game I'm giving it 0/10. One of the worst, most bland stories I've ever played. Doom eternal has a better story which is saying something.

    The VA's aren't the problem here, the game itself is. Metacritic is. The game awards are. This abomination is about as good as E.T. The extra terrestrial for the Atari 2600. The victories were undeserved, lackluster and most of all: "Foul play"

I wanted to experience more of these characters. Now that I got that wish, I wish I hadn't.

    The characters just don't feel right, the gameplay doesn't feel as satisfying as the first, the story did not need to be told, in fact, I struggle to see what story they were even trying to tell. Obviously it's a tale about revenge, but there are so many questionable and down right dumb or boring events that happened that it made me scoff at my screen a few times saying REALLY?

    The graphics are the only thing that truly felt "Naughy Dog Quality." It truly is the most beautiful looking game I've ever played, but that just doesn't carry it. It drags on waaaaaay past it's welcome in terms on length as well with me just wanting it to end after 15 hours or so.

    All in all, I hope they never end up making a third game. I can't believe I feel that way after how obsessed I was with the first. There just isn't much they could do to make me care about this franchise after this one.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
