    Did you enjoy the smart, careful, pragmatic, untrusting hero of the first game? Well I hope you enjoy that character being dumb, careless, gullible, and beaten to death with a 9 iron within the first few hours of the game.

    Gameplay and history are total garbage. Seriously, more than 10 hours of cutscenes?

    Gameplay and graphics worse than games released years ago. I've played games of 2015 with more beautiful graphics and better scripts.

    The script for this game is a bad joke. It was better to stop at the first game.

    have never felt so betrayed by a gaming company as this one has. For me the real ending happen in the first game no part 2 needed

    They make a RANDOM CHARACTER (Abby) that kills joel right at the beginning of the game and then THEY FORCE YOU TO PLAY AS HER FOR HALF OF THE GODDAMN GAME!
    They try SO HARD to make you like Abby and feel bad for the Random Character that killed Joel?? And then she gets away with it, fk you and fk your agenda Neil Drunk Man. You made me wait 5 years for this hot garbage.

Joel death was a nightmare for this game, there should be some reason to kill him, he killed many people to save Ellie , then everyone's sons or daughters should come behind him and kill this character. I loved ellie in this entire game, she was very sad , dispite dinna was with her but she was always kissing Joel and she knew it if there is anyone who can take care of her that is joel only.… Expand

    The game has a great graphics, no loading between the chapters, an unforgettable music, best mo cap and voice acting performance, and an amazingly fun gameplay all which is wasted for the poor story telling, some reading this review may say all this can't be ruined by story but all I say is wait until you play it yourself you'll understand how bad it is that you don't wanna continue the game from a point.
    I just don't understand what was all that we got in the first game? what was that for? all that character development all that bounding to those characters was for what? to just say hey we made you love them now we destroy them, it was so sadistic move, it was't just a bad ending, it was abusing and insulting for me, a big fan of the game and almost every other fans I know.
    I'm deeply sad for what has happened to this great game so many different ways to continue the story to please the fans and create something unique but, too bad they chose the way to insult the fans and destroy the game in a unique way.
    Naughty Dog has now a way to go to regain it's fame.    … Expand

Poor written characters and writing of the story as a whole and how Joel was dumbed down so much to fit with their forced agenda. Truly horrible writing. Reminds me of GOT season 8 lol.     Absolute garbage. Gameplay, graphics, and audio are amazing but how can you have such a horrible story in a story driven game? I’m going to sell my game for cheaper so people don’t have to waste $60. Complete waste of money but more importantly a complete waste of time you’ll never get back.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
