    Horrible game. Horrible horrible pacing with a forced political agenda in a non modern apocalyptic setting with plot armor to stop people from despising the disgrace this game did to the first game. The Last of Us 1 was the best game I've ever experienced, and the graphics aren't all that great now when I played it again. This makes a point that insane graphics aren't even important.     Un gran juego que cumple con la misma premisa del 1, nadie es especial, crudo y de piel, haciéndote sentir una variedad de sentimientos que no siempre son agradables. Una incomoda, pero fabulosa travesía llena de drama, buenísimos gráficos, dificultad moderada y un juego que abre las puertas a la reflexión sobre todo lo que hacemos mientras estamos jugando.     Characters lose all their personality, new characters are given an explanation and are still hateable. Everything that made the last game outsanding and unique is gone.

Personally I think that people who give this game below 5-6 are either spoiled nerds who didn't get what they expected or people who don't even get anything more complex than bad-good, black-white. I'll get to the "story" part later.

    First of all, the game doesn't have the slightest lagging or any bugs, runs perfectly, no loading times. The graphics are beyond amazing and IMO the best I've seen on PS4 or in any game so far. Furthermore, the attention to detail is beyond perfect, almost godlike. Every little inch of the game got the attention it deserved, from corners, items to drops of sweat.

    And now the story & gameplay. I don't know what people where expecting really. The setting is supposed to be 5 years later, even the characters should be more mature. The whole plot could have been a bit better, but I found that it was well connected with the first part. Seriously, did you people expect "to go find a cure yeahhh happy ending" after the first part? The whole is game is very well created, I enjoyed it a lot more than the first one. It's got a lot of "wow" moments, a lot of adrenaline unexpected moments, LOTS of violence and it's creepy/horror-ish AF. How can you NOT like that? Especially the Abby parts are very well made.

    The only downside actually (and that is why i give it a 9) was that for the most part, the gameplay is pretty much the same as the first part. It's very well made, has added parts to it, more weapons etc, but after 7 years I guess they could have made it a bit more interactive and a bit more interesting. I kinda enjoyed the Abby parts more because of that, it was kinda refreshing. Playing as Ellie felt like Part 1 with better graphics.

    If you are still thinking about giving this game a go, just go ahead. If you are someone with at least average IQ who can appreciate something well made you are going to like it. Of course you don't have to give this game a 8+ rating (ok tastes differ) but there's got to be something very wrong with you if you don't enjoy it at least a bit.    … Expand

    Much better than the reception it recieves from 'fans', and frightening to worry about how the review bombing might stop another game of its like being made, as this game is simply a work of art and well worth playing.

On a technical level it is fantastic, the recreation of the scenarios of real places in its post-apocalyptic version is impeccable and the gameplay expands a wide range of possibilities for the player to choose their own game strategy.     Yeah you must think is so exagereted, but this time Naughty Dog screwd a AMAZING videogame saga
    TLoU 1 is a great game, but this crap doesnt deserve the name of TLoU, they just get rid of Joel killing him, faster than a rooster sings, this game disapointed me and hundreds of thousands of more people, absolute sh*t, also the ellie character desingn was ugly, but the mechanics are great, that is something i must admit, also is boring, with awful writing, and repetitive.

    This game made me get a Metacritic account. I don't understand the hate and I don't understand how anyone could evaluate the game a few minutes after the release. I personally played the game and it was an incredible experience. Excellent graphics with an excellent story and wonderful gameplay.     The story takes very bold directions, and it's definitely not for everyone.

    At the same time, instead of "protecting the story," it's more like "having no confidence to reveal to players that they will be playing as two characters" as the game trailer never showed any clips related to Abby's story. I really doubt they are TRULY CONFIDENT with their writing. Again, it's more like "baiting" the customer.
    I respect ND's decision to make a masculine female character and his thought of being politically correct. However, he shouldn't "force" this idea onto players as this only makes players dislike the game, and ND himself more.    … Expand

    To be honest, I don't like the LGBT agenda of this game myself, but it's a good game nonetheless. I myself initially thought that Neil Druckman had gone mad and made a disgusting project, but this was not the case. The graphics in the game are just amazing, the gameplay is almost the same as in the Last of Us, but it has become more dynamic. Music...Oh, that music.     Zerei essa porra umas 9 vezes, fiz 100% pegando o troféu do Punitivo e Morte Permanente, falar o que, no começo foi aquela tristeza do caralho, mandei o Neil Druckman tomar no cu umas 38 vezes, mas me acostumei com o fato de um personagem morrer no meio de um apocalipse

    El juego es una basura en cuanto historia cambiaron el rumbo de la primera historia donde matan a Joel en los primeros 15 minutos de gameplay y te ponen a manejar a quien lo mató para enfatizar con ella de manera forzada y de paso hacen ver a ellie como una psicópata que no supera la muerte de Joel y después de matar a todos perdona a Abby, ridículo y la cura del virus?

    How can a game that has some of the best graphics and sound design together with stellar voice acting disappoint?

    Story

    ND told us this story would be about revenge, it wanted us to question our beliefs.
    It tries very hard to set itself up as meaningful and sophisticated. But it is not, it is a basic revenge story. It manipulates emotion by going for what the players will hate, not by delivering an actual, good narrative.

    - Killing a fan favorite early
    - Making the other fan favorite, and main character of the game, unrecognizable
    - Forcing the player to play with the antagonist for half of the game in hopes for them to see the other side
    - Rewriting the history of The Last of Us 1 to make the beloved characters look like villains.
    - Refusing the player closure at the end, essentially making the whole game and complete deconstruction of the characters they love pointless.

    This is not a deep story. This is a talentless team of writers fumbling a revenge story by basing it completely on destroying what fans of The Last of Us 1 loved.

    This, in combination with outside factors like shameless copyright striking, very dubious critics scores, and straight up false marketing make this a 6, maybe 7, out of ten game when viewed on its merits alone. But since it also damages the original game with retconning events and rewriting character traits as the plot of the new game requires the final score must be lower.    … Expand

O console se não estiver em um abiente aberto pode esquentar e fazer um pouco de barulho, tem uma gameplay fluida e dinamica com novas mecanicas. a história não me desapontou nem um pouco, pelo contrario, me surpreendeu me fazendo sentir o amor e o ódio que os personagens passaram. O tempo de jogo é um pouco grande para um jogo linear de história
    as vezes sendo cansativo propositalmente; tendo um bom final.
    Um dos melhores jogos que já joguei.

Most of the people who make videos rating the game on YouTube have videos of 30 minutes or more talking about the game, it’s not a film it’s only a game so there’s no need to go all complex and act like cinematographers when most of you have rated this game with a 5,6 or 7.     First of all I want to point out that the Story is anything else but poor, it's a piece of genius. I feel sad see all the bad reviews for a game where many people put their whole effort and love in it. I get why many people hate the Story decisions. But as Joel said "I wish things where different, but they ain't". And I love it how they managed to write and develop such a comprehensible and relatable antagonist. Another thing I have to talk about are the dialogs and the emotions, both are like nothing else, more realistic than in any other game before.
    The Graphics are just awesome and sets high stakes for upcoming PS5 Games. The most realistic looking characters and animations ever seen in a video game.
    The gameplay is absolute solid. They took the base from the first game improved it in every aspect and added some mechanics. What more do you want?
    The soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla is perfect again and gives the right atmosphere.
    All in all this game is a masterpiece just as it's predecessor, with a story that makes you think about justice and how useless revenge is.
    I'm looking forward to Part III which is coming to PS5 for sure.    … Expand

But thats not the first time when it comes to Naughty Dog Produksjons.

Thats how powerful the production made impact through this storytelling. Sure... some of the outcomes of the story did not make the turn I wanted it to take, but that would simply been boring and predictable... this story is not and I love it. I don’t think I ever seen a game made so much impact on people in general based on comments online. And that says a lot. Naughty dog manages to get everyone emotionally involved. I can’t think of anyone else who manage to do that. I play a lot of games... a lot.... There are not many storylines I can actually remember in detail after a short time. Last of us sticks with me for a lifetime. This game is so well made I sometimes got lost in the beautiful surroundings and fine details... simply stunning. Gameplay is flawless. It gives the player a verity of options on how to play using stealth or go guns blasting. I didn’t even find a bug or glitch in the game. What can I say.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
