    Absolute dog **** Neil Druckmann is ruled by his ego and it’s quite clear that other major critics have never played the Last of Us 1... biggest disappointment since the Game of Thrones finale.

    Strong and independent women, and men are some suckers, it's **** Everyone constantly says that "the game is a masterpiece, and those who do not understand this are just stupid idiots." There is nothing special in this game. In this game, dumb artificial intelligence, the opponents do not have lateral vision, you stand a meter away from the person, but he does not see you.

    besides the fact that they showed stuff in the trailers that didn't happend in the game
    like joel talking to Ellie, Jessie talks to her instead and says "You think I’d let you do this on your own?"
    but that aside: killing of joel is another thing that is total garbage
    i'm happy that i saw the leaks before the Game got released!
    another funny thing: people that are saying these Negative Reviews are just people Review Bombing, because of the LGBTQ stuff in the game.
    No! no one cares about Ellie being gay or stuff like that.
    People are mad because the ruined Characters that they loved!
    people who give a negative score are dumb because they haven't played through the game or never played it?

Ellie finally has a chance to kill Abby in the end but let's her live but loses 2 fingers in the process. Abby didn't lose any body parts. She got her stupid revenge. We don't care about Abby. Ellie and Joel r who we cared about and this game ruined them.… Expand

    Graphics are great animations, music, etc but the story oh boy the story is literally your typical mediocre hollywood movie and the writers are trying so hard to surprise you and make you see the perspective of characters that you wouldn’t like for even 1 second. To me this is one of the worst games this generation (story-wise) sony needs to fire some people from naughty dog lmao

    Don't buy no matter what, because the game intends to install toxic ideas in your brain: I am from the Middle-east and this game encourages themes That I find unacceptable and must be forbidden. Plus this game has butchered what the last game stood for, and failed in storytelling.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is monumental disgrace to the first game's legacy.

    Gameplay:
    Same as the first, barely any noticeable improvements.

    Visuals:
    Looks good, but so do most modern Tripple A titles.

    Sound:
    Soundtrack could be powerful and emotional, but the story is so hollow and vapid that nothing hits.

    Characters:
    Utter garbanzo beans. Ellie has become a spiteful, cynical brat who becomes boring as hell when she isn't cursing her mouth off. She has no chemistry with any follower, not even her supposed love interest Dina. The flashback to the Museum with Joel was especially insulting, as we are explicitly reminded of how great their (Joel and Ellie) chemistry was. Abby is a disgusting homunculus of a woman, just as angry and vengeful as Ellie, except without a prior game of experience and character building to justify ever supporting her.

    Story:
    Trash. Stereotypical revenge plot that hinges entirely on the coincidence of Joel telling some stranger his name. In such a dog-eat-dog world, AND ESPECIALLY considering his actions in the last game, Joel should have a damn lock on his lips. But no, he just blurts it out to a team of strangers. Abby's portion of the game is honestly irrelevant, not even having her own game would justify her caving Joel's skull in and curb-stomping Ellie. Abby's section is simply there to pad out the game length.

    Oh yeah and there were zombies I think.

    Summary:
    Its very clear this game was made to destroy the legacy of the last game. Killing Joel so unceremoniously, absolutely ZERO insight into the infection, lack of good character dynamics and chemistry. This game is devoid of everything we liked about the first game. Granted, the game likely traded hands over the years, followed by Cukman's shameless simping for Anita Sarkisikunt, I honestly don't think this game could've come out any other way.    … Expand

    All in all just very disappointed in the storyline. I enjoyed the first part due to its great graphics and great story telling however this seemed rather terrible.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
