I just really loved TLOU 1 and think this is a total disservice to the characters ND created and an insult to its fans.. I will say the gameplay is good and griping, I really like how violent and real it feels, but I play games like these due to their story and frankly it sucks.. Joel character is just an afterthought. As fans we loved Joel and ellie so it's a disservice to him just to kill him for the sake of it, without taking into account what he means for us. I didn't really liked playing as Abby.. It should have been a dlc tbh.. The ending is also really really bad.. I wouldn't recommend this game for a fan of the first one..… Expand

    Elephant in the room: I went into this game, having read the spoilers/leaks, and FULLY expected to hate it. While the game definitely does have a brutal story, and does not allow us (as the player) to ever be comfortable, it is still an amazing achievement in gaming and story telling. The “woke” moments that so many felt were going to be forced, were not existent. Seriously. The “woke” moments that so many felt were going to be forced, were not existent. Seriously. One of the largest, and most “woke” parts of the leaks turned out to be completely false. If the game were exactly what the leaks led us to believe, then I would be standing with you, bashing Naughty Dog for turning on it’s audience.

    PLEASE do not think that you should skip the game because you read the leaks and were upset. Not all the information was accurate, and you would be doing yourself a massive disservice by missing this experience.

    My review:

    The game is genuinely incredible, and is a true predecessor to the original game that we all fell in love with. The gameplay has vastly improved and has updated with the times. TLOU, while incredible for it’s storytelling, was never the most groundbreaking gameplay experience. TLOU2 has taken the same DNA and made it far more tense, and fast paced. Add that to Naughty Dog’s largest maps ever, and you have a recipe for success. There are plenty of places to explore and most all, feel important. Whether it is a store that offers extra dialogue, or character building cut scenes; or a small abandoned enemy outpost that restocks you and sends you on a treasure hunt for a lost supply drop. Please make sure you note, that there is far more to do outside of the “on-rails” story.

    The graphics from a Naughty Dog game are always expected to be “Best-in-Class” level, and TLOU2 definitely does not ruin that expectation. I played the game with 4K with HDR, and it was beautiful. If you have a PlayStation 4 Pro, and a 4K HDR tv, this game is a must own for that experience alone. Finally the story. I am NOT going to give away any spoilers, so I am going to have to be a bit generic. The game is dark. There is never a moment to breathe. The sense of danger is always there for the characters, and the sense of dread is even more present. Naughty Dog knows what made the first game great, and dialed it up to 11. The new characters are not quite as memorable as Tess, Joel, or Ellie, but you will still find yourself caring for them through your care for Ellie. The story gets moving fairly quickly, and only picks up pace from there. Once I was about 6 hours in, I found myself looking around for collectibles less, just to see what happens next in the story.

    Overall, if you enjoyed the first game, then TLOU2 is a must play. The game is so much more that the leaks led us to believe. Do yourself the favor of playing this game.    … Expand

Pra ser sincero, na vdd nem se trata de herói ou vilão, e sim de seres humanos, onde cada um tem sua visão, e seus motivos pra executar certa ação, e mostrar que apesar de termos vontade de saciar uma vontade, nem sempre vale a pena buscar aquilo pra viver com um peso pelo resto da vida. Vingança não trás alívio e nem bem estar. Essa é minha visão doq o game pode me passar. Pra quem entendeu a história do game, percebeu o roteiro genial e fantástico que tem por trás de tudo isso.… Expand

    Drop the political arguments and enjoy the game. God damn. Almost every game nowadays gets a bad wrap. Half of these people didn’t even play the game and they are forming a opinion kids nowadays. Also Xbox fans making FB groups to coordinate a review bomb that’s honestly really sad going out of your way to spread rumors to ruin others experiences good or bad is just pathetic.     Masterpiece of a game. I recommend this game if you like action/adventure games. It's a bit of a slow roast, but the game gets a significantly better over time.

    The Last Of Us Part II is not a game for everyone, many who played the first one will probably feel uncomfortable with the direction the story took in relation to the characters we love so much.
    Gameplay and artificial intelligence have improved in many ways, making our experience much more immersive in the world proposed by the game.

    Looked forward to playing this game once the trailer released. After playing the game for the entire day, I can say there is nothing wrong about the game. The music, the graphics and the game played are outstanding. However, the script of this game is just **** It is a game that I won’t play the second time.

    They took everything that made the first game good and left us with this. The whole game felt like someone shoving SJW agenda down my throat.
    The world is beautiful, It gameplay is fun but repetitive but it's one of the worst stories I have ever experienced.

    If you were a huge fan of The Last of Us one then I would skip this, treat as the ending from that game was the end because the sequel doesn't do justice to the first one.

    But it isn't, the mechanics are practically ancient, the level design is so smoothbrain that it's painfully obvious that having fun was absolutely the last priority for the developers, and the writing is on par with a Twilight movie. The dodge and jump mechanics are also laughably bad and add nothing to the experience.

    I could write an entire essay on how stupid the story and characters are but suffice to say everything you've heard is true. Everyone is awful, nothing is hopeful, and it comes off as a shallow and preachy diatribe. You will be bored to tears playing this and frustrated to the point of facepalming yourself into another dimension. Everything bad you've heard about this game is 100% accurate.

    This was a vanity project for Neil Druckmann and it turns out he isn't half as clever as he thinks he is. If you want a game with a good story and gameplay play Star Wars Fallen Order or even minesweeper. Avoid this game like zombie brain fungus.

    I give this game 1 star because of the homophobic & political stance it takes. I wanted neither when I put it the game in & played it for an hour. This is not a video game, it’s Sony’s entry into pandering into the lqbt community. Just please don’t waste your money on this game. The graphics weren’t bad, it ran flawless. The story is the worst one I’ve ever seen.

    While this game is not perfect, the story is amazing. The evolution that the characters go though is heart wrenching. I was scarred for the lives of the beloved characters that sometimes, I had to look away. I even held off from playing the final chapters because I didn't want this game to end. Naughty Dog's gameplay still doesn't change and doesn't revolutionize the video game, I didn't like this game and the storyline choice the developers chose, I never really liked this studio and with The Last of Us Part II still hasn't reconciled me. Ellie's sexuality doesn't bother me but I don't like to see LGBTQ flags in a video game because I prefer to escape as much as possible from reality, same for the heroes of the game who are only women, do not put your political opinion a video game in the future please!… Expand

    Just give the game of chance. Is it as good as part 1? Surely not. But it is yet a fantastic game. Everybody knows movie sequels, where the story goes in another direction as hoped. Many of them are great movies, although or maybe even because you expect something different.
    You simply should not miss this game just because of other voices.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
