    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Neither the masterpiece so many critics claim it to be nor the garbage a lot of users think it is, TLOUP2 is a okay game overall. It has amazing graphics and a beautiful soundtrack for fans of guitars. The most controversial part of the game is its story, in my opinion its nothing to special, it has extremely beautiful moments like when Joel and Ellie are in the museum, but It also has many faults. Killing of Joel early in the game was a mistake in my opinion, as I very much would have wanted to spend more time with him, as even the one time you do is the best part of the game. Overall its just an okay game.… Expand

Mi critica a este juegazo lanzado el año pasado tratara de ser lo mas precisa posible, es un gran videojuego, tiene una gran jugabilidad, una increíble narrativa, que logra producir una emoción y un sentimiento cuando estamos jugando con el personaje, para mi no alcanza el 10 de 10, por el hecho de que se desasieron demasiado rápido de Joel, siendo que fue el personaje principal en el primer videojuego, pienso que tanto el publico como yo, teníamos una conexión con ese personaje, y ver que desaparecía de una manera tan impulsiva dejo que desear, si bien se uso para darle sentido a la historia de venganza de Ellie, pudo haber dado mucho mas de lo que dio, pero bueno, no solo por eso, el juego será malo, me sorprendió el tiempo que duro y que toda la historia, tanto de Elli, como Abby tu vieran tanta coherencia, sin lugar a dudad la compañía saco a lucir todo su talento en esta entrega y ya quiero ver con que otra sorpresa vendrán a futuro.… Expand

    This game is just The most amazing creation of videogames history. The gameplay is soft, flowed and easy to get. The graphics are amazing, and the history: complex, deep and suffering just like real life. This is not disneyland, that’s a **** survival experience, where you have to make choices, tough choices.     One of the best games i have ever played. The emotions what game gives....I'm speechles. I loved it more than 1 st part. I give it 10/10. Story was amazing, atmosphere beyond perfect ,music good and all overal perfect. Thanks for the game !!

    It's just amazing how this game makes you feel even if you are playing through it again.
    Hopefully Naughty Dog don't restrict their creativity because of a small community of haters.
    Unpopular Opinion: I feel this game is way better than God of War 2018.

    This game is an absolute masterpiece of storytelling. Few times, in any medium, have I seen such a deep exploration of the human condition and never before in a game.
    However, this game is not for everybody, it is an emotionally-taxing, violent, graphic and raw experience. The game will probably make you uncomfortable, it will force you to challenge your prejudices and to imagine others    This game is an absolute masterpiece of storytelling.     Great game ruined by horrible story and agenda push. This game has great graphics, decent game play, great acting and a story so bad that it ruins everything else. Characters are uninteresting and pretty much unlikable and you are forced to play those characters for tens of hours.     The game sounds, looks and feels amazing to play. But all the reasons that I ever picked up a controller to play the game have been killed and then teabagged by whoever let the writing actually make it to the game. I never thought I would hate, and at the same time not care at all anymore about a franchise that I loved so damn much. The first one is a masterpiece! The decisions that our favorite characters make here completely destroys all of the careful development and care that went in to the amazing story in the first.     Сюжет средний. Для меня не было ничего необычного. Удивило, что центрального персонажа с 1-ой части так легко слили в начале игры. Но почему так сделали по окончанию сюжета - я понял. Понял зачем пол игры за Элли, потом за Эбби. Понял ЛГБТ-повестку. Понял мысль о мести и прощении. Для меня финал показался более чем нормальный для    Я не фанат этой серии.     Звук и музыка - не самая сильная сторона. Это обычный звук в ААА игре.

    ЛВЛ-дизайн - о дааааа. Тут художникам и архитекторам уровней - браво! Я обожал бродить по локациям в поисках ресурсов и во время стелса.

    Геймплей - уже устарел и ничего нового. Но он отшлефован и играть было приятно.

    Физика - превосходно. Внимание к деталям просто божественна. От отколотого стекла, когда перелазишь через разбитое окно и когда Элли надевает капюшон во время дождя.

    Это не игра года и она не заслуживает такого количества наград. Но и конкурентов посмотрите в 2020 - они тоже не достойны игры года. Это просто хорошая игра с потрясающим визуалом и физикой.

    Для меня это 7 из 10    … Expand

    In my interpretation, I think the second game is to show us the complexity of life and humanity. It strongly shows the us vs them mentality as well. Even though we’re shown how human each side (Abby’s group vs Ellie’s group) can be and how they have loved ones/friends of their own and their goal is to survive just like everybody else, we see how these groups still violently clash with oneIn my interpretation, I think the second game is to show us the complexity of life and humanity. Even though we’re shown how human each side (Abby’s group vs Ellie’s group) can be and how they have loved ones/friends of their own and their goal is to survive just like everybody else, we see how these groups still violently clash with one another. It’s easy to paint the other side as the bad guys and so you fight against them, perpetuating the cycle of revenge and violence.

    The game is also about the parallels of Abby and Ellie’s story and how they experience loss and revenge. They both have lost their father/father figure, lost their friends, and experienced so much just for revenge. They really aren’t that different from one another. In the end, it was all meaningless because they’ve tired themselves out and have already accepted their fate, no longer wanting to kill the other— hence: “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”

    Lastly, I think the game is called The Last of Us because it is what’s left after all is said and done that makes us— well... us really. The game serves as a grim reminder that our actions have consequences, but it also reminds us that every character has a story/life of their own. This ties back into the complexity of life and humanity— we all have our own stories and motivations that make us who we are and determines who we may become. It is because of Joel’s actions which caused Abby to go after him in the first place. And we see in the second game how the desire for revenge causes Abby and Ellie to go against one another until they’ve lost nearly everything. The second game was never meant to have a happy ending. It’s supposed to make you uncomfortable and leave you feeling numb/empty afterwards, in order to show the grim reality of the world we live in.    … Expand

I've thought about this game so many times in the months following completion - it will challenge you on a number of levels; both in the story arc and your preconseptions of characters that you thought you knew so well.     The developers should be lauded for breaking new ground; not pilloried because it didn't fit your vanilla preconcieved notion which effectively amounted to a clone of TLOU.
    If you're closed-minded, petty or immature, this game probably isn't for you - stick to Zelda. This game is a classic; but like most classics, it has polarised it's fanbase; some of whom are too caught up in fanboy culture to understand or appreciate greatness.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
