    I'm sad for all the people that don't get to experience this game for themselves from the beginning to the end, it is an absolutely emotional rollercoaster and a game that makes you feel things no other videogame ever has. It is a shame that this game is being review bombed by haters.

    I my opinion i don't think the game is a 10/10 but it sure as hell isn’t a 4.6 either.

    I would rate this game a 8/10 - It's has some problems pacing wise and there is not enough variation in the gameplay for it to take 25-30 hours to finish.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have actually played this game through the beginning to the end. I’m not just some fan that’s watched a bunch of YouTube videos coming here to throw around ‘SJW’ and give it a 1/10. This game is great. Not comparable to the first, but great. The main big gripe I see with most reviews is the death of Joel. If you played the game, you would know why Joel met his demise. Put yourself in Abby’s shoes. If someone killed your father, you would go out of your way to end this persons life. That is exactly what Abby did, and in a way she’s justified in her actions even though I do have love for Joel. Joel killed her father. Abbys entire backstory is painted throughout the entirety game, so you come to understand why she feels the way she does. At the beginning of the game, I hated her. But throughout the game as you play through her sections, her backstory is fleshed out so you get a better understanding of her actions and reasonings. I came to like her almost as much as Ellie by the final scene. Joel was selfish for killing everyone at the hospital to save Ellie, but I also understand why he did. Also, for the plotholes. The only one I keep seeing is about Ellie wearing a gas mask. Again, if you played the game, you would understand because this is brought up about halfway through the game. Joel tells Ellie to always keep her mask on near spores Incase they run into another survivor. Ellie’s immunity is still a secret in this game. Towards the end of the game, after playing as both Ellie and Abby for hours and hours, I came to sympathize with the both of them. They were both doing what they thought was right because of the death of a loved one, even though Abby kept sparing Ellie’s life but Ellie could not let it go and kept going on her revenge quest which eventually in the end made her lose most things she loved. I felt bad for Ellie towards the end, but that was the predicament she kept putting herself and the people around her in over and over again. If you set out for revenge, you best dig two graves. I got this game on midnight release, and have just completed the main story. Beware scores of 1 or 0 from reviews posted within a few hours of release.

    The story is obviously the main problem for people who have been excited about this for a long time. I’m seeing a lot of complaints about ‘LGBT propaganda’ and ‘SJW fanboys’. Having experienced the entire plot, I really don’t see that. Ellie is gay; this was established way back in the DLC for the first game. Her romantic interest is defined by that.

    As for the SJW stuff... There’s literally one small issue about Ellie’s sexuality, and that gets resolved almost immediately. Other than that, the ethical side of homosexuality is never explored. If you have a fundamental problem with gay people, you’ll hate this. If not, you’ll be just fine.

    As for the actual plot itself, it’s very good, but weaker than the first game. Naughty Dog have tried to write a scathing and uncomfortable commentary on the so-called ‘cycle of violence’ (sic) and how severe, lingering trauma can cause even the best of us to do truly horrific things. Hate begets hate. The ‘traumatic event’ is very, very controversial. You might hate the choice ND made here. I thought it was a bold move.
    What the game amounts to is, on the surface, a good old fashioned revenge story - but the various intertwining story points and character defects lead to something far more subtle, complex, and dark, with real weight and consequences to your actions. That being said, it can often crack under the weight of its own ambition - the first game was comparatively very simple, and morally easy-to-follow for the most part. This led to a very satisfying plot with an ending we’re still talking about today. TLOU2 doesn’t quite deliver the goods on this count. It’s a much better and stronger story than most are claiming, but it’s not really up there with the first. Also, certain major characters are far more fleshed out than others, which can affect the emotional impact of the game.

    I won’t spoil any story points, but the second half of the game came as a major surprise to me and it took me a while to get used to. I definitely didn’t enjoy it as much as the first half. It certainly lends a lot of weight to the choices already made, but it shouldn’t have been as long and drawn out as it was. I personally would have much happier with a shorter, more focussed experience.
    Also, the jumping back-and-forth in time started getting on my wick after a while. It feels like padding.

    Now that that’s out of the way, the other stuff:

    The graphics and sound design are incredible. One of the best-looking and best sounding games not just on PS4, but on any platform. Play with headphones if you can. The voice acting and motion capture are amazing. The lighting and animation are as close to perfect as I’ve ever seen. You can really, really feel the brutality and messiness of the violence in this game.
    The gameplay is very strong. It plays very like the first game, but far smoother and more organic. The stealth mechanics have been tweaked nicely. The level design is very open and rewards exploration, both for supplies and for getting the drop on your enemies. The levels are far larger and less linear, it’s mostly up to you wether you want to sneak or tank it. Both play styles are catered to and well-balanced.

    The infected are very similar to the first game. The new types of infected fit into the world very well.
    The two factions operate quite differently from each other, leading to more variation going against the living than in TLOU1.

    They really oversold the ‘almost open-world’ stuff. While there is one particularly massive area in the game, I don’t think it’s available beyond a certain very early part of the plot, and there’s nowhere near as much exploration to be done in this part as you’d hope. Think Madagascar in Uncharted 4. For the vast majority of the game it’s the same as the first in that you move through one area to another, and the game closes behind you. It’s a series of sequenced levels, according to the plot’s needs. Honestly, that’s a good thing - tight and tense at all times.

    Final word: It’s definitely worth buying and playing. If you liked how the first game plays, you’ll love that part. It’s really up to you wether or not you like the plot, or the characters’ choices. I personally liked them even though I often didn’t agree with the characters. I loved the ending, but totally understand why people wouldn’t. Play it and make your own mind up.

    TLDR:
    Graphics/sound/acting: 10/10
    Gameplay: 9/10
    Story: 7/10
    Loads of fun to play. You might not like the plot, but it’s a bold risk. A major technical achievement. A bit too long. If you’re still not sure, wait for sale prices. Beware; Lesbians involved.

I know for a fact I did for the most part even though I was upset with some of the decisions they made. It had me emotional in some moments especially the ending had me on tears and I don't cry at a lot of things. The game really grasped me in it's story. The acting is the best I have ever seen in a video game, and maybe even in all media, I just can't get over how good it was, every moment felt real. The animations were top notch and the enemy AI was a lot more intelligent than in the first game and most games I've played. However there was a moment in the game where it didn't really feel like it took place in a The Last of us world type setting which I did not really like. And even if the story doesn't appeal to you the gameplay wise this game is phenomenal and still worth picking up in my opinion. I would also like to mention that I was upset with the false advertising. Nevertheless I still very much enjoyed the game and I am looking forward to Naughty Dog's next game.

I can say that is a good game, graphics, music, ambient, everything in the game is so wonderful, I'm impressed with the entire work of Naughty Dog. Taking part with the story, I think that is a good way to show the humanity in his entire point of view, because you can get there and try to revenge one of your loved ones... But it's difficult to make it, this game makes me think about and I love the final decision. The only thing that I feel so disgusting at the beginning, is the change of character at the middle of the game because restart my character progress and it forces to complete that, many difficult to get used with Abby, but at the end you can realize without problems.

    A must play, yes but I think you can wait for a sale, not with this full price.

After playing around 17hours so far, I can honestly say that this is a brilliant game. I can admit that other than Ellie, I haven’t really felt for the characters in this title like I did in the first. Even the bad guys made me pity them in the first game. But that does not mean that there is nothing that keeps you emotionally attached, far from it.
    All in all, a stupendous game that falls short of the brilliance of its predecessor by a hairs width.

    Tonight I played TLOU2... exciting game! I think the rating on Metacritic and other sites is not high 'cause real game does not meet expectation of the part of gamers. Here is detailed thoughts about it...
    There are literary works that must be read, such as «Philosophy in the Boudoir» by Marquis de Sade. It instantly catches the attention of a lay reader with the pornographic scenes. That means that most of the readers can't see any background philosophy in this masterpiece. If you are an experienced reader - you know that all the pornographic scenes just should be faded and focus goes on the dialogues between them.
    This principle also works for TLOU2... atmosphere, entourage, gameplay and sexual orientation of heroes are not the target TLOU2. There should be a main question: what is it all about? In my opinion it is about different things with similar ways. Overcoming internal contradictions that goes against the nature of the main characters unites them.
    There are 2 heroines ... Abby was obsessed with revenge and had killed person who was close to Ellie. Abby had a deep hope that after the act of revenge she would feel peace in her soul ... but this never happened. After the murder of Joel, Ellie becomes obsessed with revenge. We observe how does she follow the same way (actually). Conventional wisdom slowly prevails ... and now Abby realizes that the endless series of revenges and deaths must be interrupted, that is why she lets go of Dina and Ellie. Ellie stays «one step behind» with problem understanding. Her desire to take revenge still did not go completely. Finally, she also finds the internal strength to stop killing. In last scenes, both heroines are devastated and crippled in their souls. Heroines disappear ... and obviously they will seek for the strength inside themselves to live.

    What will TLOU3 looks like (sooner or later it will definitely come out)... I see 4 ways for Ellie:
    1) She will live the hermit life (but you can’t create a game with it);
    2) In the last scene, our attention is focused on the «Cicad» symbol. Perhaps now Ellie (who is now left alone) sees her mission in finding them and sacrificing herself for the salvation of humanity for the second time;
    3) A pregnant girl in a gas mask was depicted on the TLOU poster in Uncharted 4. Perhaps it was Ellie ... in this case, the child can make sense of her life, especially since in the game we saw how her attitude towards children changes: at first they annoy her (her and Dina’s dialogue at the very beginning in front of the stage snowball games) and then, she quite joyfully plays with Dina’s child, so that anything can happen;
    4) She will meet again with Abby and «the two loneliness will find each other» (but this, in my opinion, is too primitive).

    Now about the opinions of other people ...
    Many playlists say that the actions of the main characters are not logical ... so the actions of any person who is blinded by revenge lie outside standard logic.
    As for the dull and monotonous gameplay - I agree. But in my opinion, developers have an excuse: no one has ever made games with such a multi-level narrative design. Moreover, I believe that what Drakhman conceived cannot be fully embodied in the game. It's like with a puppet theater: can a doll play all the roles? Akella from Mowgli - yes, because it's just only image. But can marionette play the role of the White Fang by Jack London? No ... because White Fang is a character. Conceived by Drakman is not suitable for the game. Only a book can perform such a depth of design.

    My opinion: the game deserves a rating of 8/10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is cutting edge in graphics sound design and it’s soundtrack. It’s gameplay does not differ much from its predecessor apart from a dodge button and a jump button, my only complaint with the game is the story the first half where you get to play as Ellie where you try to get revenge for the murder of Joel is its best part but after you kill Nora the game does a 180 and you play as Abby arguably the worst character in the game. Not only that she kills Joel Ellie father and probably the player’s favorite character. Playing as Abby was unneeded and kills the pacing which is the worst part of the game there’s fun parts here and there but it only picks up again when you take back control of Ellie the ending could have been so much better than it was. All of the buildup of killing Abby, Ellie finally gets her chance and she backs out because she wanted to stop the cycle I guess. The ending would have worked so much better if she killed Abby and came back and realized she lost everything for petty revenge. In the end this game could have been so much better but the developers wanted to try to humanize Abby which ultimately ruined half of the game other than that this game is a pretty good and I would recommend it for hardcore fans of the series. I greatly enjoyed the game throughout and the graphics were amazing, however I feel that there was a few points it was lacking as it would have been much better to give you the option to kill Abby or not and I feel that they forced us to do the worse option of the two, other than that Joel's death cause which everyone is complaining about was expected, although people may not like the way that he died I feel that it conveyed the emotion of his death well, I can see why people are upset about it but it's sad to see him go Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Really great gameplay and graphics. Story was 70 percent really good and 40 percent boring and uninteresting. The thing that happens at the end of the prologue didn't bother me and I thought it was a great way to start of the game. However *SPOILERS* playing as Abby for almost 10 hours really brought the game down in my opinion. I understand trying to make her more compelling and I'm glad they tried and I liked the parallel with Joel on the first game but her section has very little to do with Ellies. I was expecting to see my actions as Ellie in a new light as Abby and when, for example I didn't go to the hospital again as Abby I was really confused. It also lasts way to long, 5-6 hours would have been better.

    That being said while it might not reach the greatness of the first I still think about 70 percent of it is a 10/10 story , with the rest being a 6 or something.

    La trama principal trata sobre la venganza y de como una persona se auto-destruye cegad@ por la venganza, es un titulo muy adulto, la cual niños de 15 años no entenderán.

    El Gameplay es exactamente el mismo que el 1 con pequeñas mejoras como el tumbarse en la maleza, esquivar a los infectados con el L1, para mi este apartado es lo peor de este titulo.

    Los personajes son humanos con sus altibajos y sus puntos fuertes, son todos humanos, no parecen sacados de un videojuego.

    El primer flashback con Joel, se me ha caído una lagrima, porque fue muy tierno todo y no me esperaba volver a ver, ha estado bien que nunca jugaras con Joel,

    Y el final me ha gustado, es muy simbólico, dejando la guitarra que le dio Joel como diciendo que ha pasado pagina.

    Ojalá con el tiempo la gente se quite la polla de Joel del culo y vea lo buen titulo que es este TLOU 2, porque es un titulo de notable alto, valiente y con huevos a contar su historia sin tapujos.
