I wanted to come in and enjoy my time with Ellie and Joel, I wanted to experience the world after Joel doomed the human race by killing the surgeon and saving Ellie, making the hard choice that his own personal needs and desires were more important to him than the survival of humanity. I really wanted to experience that aftermath, to live in that moment and feel guilt for my actions in Part One.
    I didn't get to. I got to experience Joel act completely out of character and die because suddenly, out of nowhere, our hardened father figure is naive. I was forced to watch as the life drained from this monster of a man, and then go on a journey of revenge. At least I'd get my revenge.
    Nope, I murder my way through the liberation front for a chance to kill Abby, the woman who killed Joel, only to suddenly be forced to watch her walk away, because suddenly, and without any narrative reason, Ellie decided that killing was bad.

    The Bad: ruined the franchise, forces you to do real messed up stuff, then preaches how bad you are... this is 2020 enough problems in RL as it is no need to make our gaming world even worse...

    So if anyone ever tells you, you can not polish a turd, just point them towards this game.    … Expand

    Selling bloggers, how did you get, listened to you and bought this horror, passed after the first part, the feeling that I'm playing a sequel, the gameplay is 0 out of 10, the plot is 3 out of 10, the graphics are tightened a little.

Now on my 2nd go and i love it, people seemed to forget people die in games and i like how this game shows us that no one is the good guy and that the past can catch up to them. also the ending shows Ellie showing her mercy over her wrath and hatred not letting it consume her.     I feel bad for the crew that worked on this game. It must be terrible working on a thing for 7 years only for the writers to ruin everything with their horrible writing.
    Everybody did amazing, the acting, the music, the graphics of this game are spectacular, but It's all for nothing when Halley Gross and Neil Druckmann (especially him with his disgusting self-insert spitting on Joel) had    I feel bad for the crew that worked on this game.     I'm surprised that writers keep doing stuff like this even after they saw how D&D killed their careers with s8 of GoT. The only expectations they subverted are Sony's pockets, cause nobody will want to buy this game after seeing users reviews on it.

    My adivice to future videogame makers is, it doesn't matter if all pieces of your game are amazing, if your writing it's worth 0 then the whole game It's worth a 0.    … Expand

    Ive finished the game. The gameplay is largely the same, nothing special but thats not what were here for. The game has little to no soundtrack, and what little there is is just the same 3 notes ringing out for some weak attempt at intensity, creating an empty atmosphere. The forced, cringe relationships are garbage. The main issue is how lackluster the story is, and how bad    NO SPOILERS

    This is game of thrones season 8 level trash writing. The first half of the game is largely a walking simulator with nonstop relationship drama. After some questionable story decisions It devolves into flashback inception, forcing you to play a new, boring character. With no spoilers, this character did something controversial, and then the game makes you play 8-10 hours of flashbacks within flashbacks AS them to try to make you like the character. There is no liking this person. It was ultimately just a side quest with more characters you dont care about. The game could have finished 3 hours in and the conclusion, the state of all the characters you care about, would be the same.

    A sad state for this franchise and even sadder for the critics. Honestly who **** knows how reviewers managed to give this above a 5, let alone Game of The Year scores...    … Expand

    Disconnected with what the fan base wanted. Came looking for a continuation of Joel and Ellie beautiful and deep relationship. Received a half assed revenge story which they didn't even complete

Terrible ending with no choice (this insane Ellie, which is driven by random flashbacks in her head). Zero meaning (casual - revenge is bad? seriously?), horribly story line, default trash gameplay, half of the game as Abby, which we don't give a **** about. Pointless and boring background characters. 0/10. The tech quality of the game is ok (graphics/animation - nice, but the same mega boring gameplay (WALKING, usual stealth and horrible fights), but it is overwhelmed by other things.

    Even if i never played this game and buy it but at least some leak hero saved me from false advertising and scam. The fact that director Neil himself saying father's day but hypocritical spitting Joel the main character it's just disgusting. Not only that, i hate how they put subliminal message of their agenda movement in this game. I strongly believe most of the positive reviews here and literally employees of the studio trying to stop this game from bombing. This game’s story **** on all the characters you know and attempts to make you care about new ones in a very forced way. As far as revenge stories go, this is definitely one of the worst. Imagine watching someone murder your dad and then deciding to kill everyone around you and then forgiving the murderer.… Expand

    Last of Us 1 is one of the greatest games I have ever played. Last of Us 2 is what Last Jedi is to Star Wars... a complete destruction of what came before it. I am disgusted to see such little regard for Naughty Dog’s fan base. I am confused by the waste of such potential. I am ashamed as of a fan of the industry.

    False advertising, they showed Joel in one scene in the trailer, making you think that he would come with Ellie on her journey. But in the actual game, it was another person who said the same line. Unnecessary violence just for shock value. TLOU2 is one of the most disgusting video game in history. Just save your money guys. Stay away.

The ending is laughably bad .     This game was the brain-fart of the Niel Druckmann and Halley Gross. Westworld never mixed with LOU from the start.

    But what is most disturbing is Druckmann's and other's responses: reducing and mocking the fans, calling them haters, bigots and alike without a second thought instead of listening their true concern and issues with the game! They can be so ignorant and arrogant because of their previous successes, what exactly the players expected. But they were betrayed.

    But why is that a so successful studio receives only 3.4 user rating? It cannot be just because of some lesbian action, it is because they destroyed everything.

    Ask yourself the question: do you want to play this game because of Last Of Us or because you want to play the character Abby who destroyed everything you found dear in the Last Of Us?    … Expand

    the plot is so bad and terrible, the characters are so hyperbolized in order to pay attention to all the "minorities", the first part was art, just for making money, my advice is, do not play this worst movie in the world after the first part. Just a spit in the soul

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
