    The game is really good. The gameplay, graphics, character development, etc. are great. The story may take some risks, but it's still great. Many people hate that it captures a different theme than the previous game, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad. Overall, I think Naughty Dog did a great job of making players invested in the story

    I finished The Last Of Us Part II feeling depressed, but not for the reasons the developer might have intended — Naughty Dog is an immensely talented studio with resources that many devs can only dream of, yet their achievements in presentation are held back by a lack of mechanical evolution and uninspired gameplay.     The reputation of a generation has been ruined. I think your company's reputation is gone. The most wrong thing is Neil Druckmann, who turned naughty dogs into a joke.

    please note i have completed this game in its entirety. Now im going to be fair with this review the story was bold and the twist that the game had where the essentially turned abby into a joel 2.0 i thought really developed the character and made me feel compassion for her, however i did feel that her story felt like it dragged on forever and i just wanted to return to the theatre andplease note i have completed this game in its entirety. Now im going to be fair with this review the story was bold and the twist that the game had where the essentially turned abby into a joel 2.0 i thought really developed the character and made me feel compassion for her, however i did feel that her story felt like it dragged on forever and i just wanted to return to the theatre and continue as ellie.I think abbys story should of been a separate game kind of like a uncharted lost legacy, as i think that would of been a better approach to tell her tale leaving part 2 as a game where you play as ellie and joel after the events of the firefly massacre. overall i was left satisfied with the story as it was a good reminder of how revenge won't lead to happiness. I think the graphics audio and gameplay where very good gameplay was similar to the first as i expected. I gave this game an 8 as it did what a good game was suppose to it gave me a decent story and fun gameplay that kept me entertained its not perfect or a 0 its just a average game for a gamer to enjoy. i will say that the first game is better and i hope if there is a next week that it can return to its roots and continue a great series… Expand

This is a revenge story in the purest sense. The entire plot is to show how stupid and meaningless and destructive revenge is. How blind hatred for others will destroy everything. Ellie ends up alone because she couldn’t come to terms with her loss. Abby doesn’t want to fight at the end because she realizes that her getting revenge didn’t make her feel any better and cost her all of her friends as well. This game is absolutely incredible and I really really enjoyed this as the sequel to my previous favorite game ever. The graphics are astounding, the player movements are so realistic looking that sometimes you just want to move in weird ways to see the models follow, the game design is good with some new and interesting enemies and a wider playing area that allows a bit more of strategy. Overall I think Naughty Dog hit it out of the park.… Expand

    Pretty much exactly what you expected to get from a sequel to the best game of the last generation. Everything from story to controls are tight. Can't dock it a single point with so much it has going for it.

    Going into this game, spoiler/leak free, and 30 hours later, enjoyed it...A lot!! If you don't take a video game story too personal and enjoy great atmosphere, gameplay and mechanics, pick this up!!

I am not a big fan of the story. Naughty Dog seemed to have too much of an agenda in making this game. Was there a reason in making Abby as buff as a body builder? It made no sense. I also did not care for the deception Naughty Dog did to the fans regarding the trailers compared to what was in the game. Also, if you go prone in gameplay, it can screw with the AI. They suddenly can not see you even if you crawl right up to them at times.… Expand

    An emotional story does not mean a bad story!!! It was one of the few games/films that made me feel really sad because of the death of someone, and that is an achievement on its own.

    Honestly a quality game. Lots of people here have an agenda against the game developers but if you genuinely want a good story based game to play, The Last of Us Part II isn't a bad choice.

    This game was such a disappointment. All the high end polish you'd expect from a ND game. But when the story is such and integral part of this game, when it falls flat as hard as it does the entire game suffers. I played through twice. I just didn't care. Sold the game used today.

    Amazing narrative that challenge you emotionally since the beginning. The characters development is quite impressive.

    In terms of gameplay, the game maintains some of the mechanics of TLOU, with new nice additions.

    The Last of Us Part II remains a controversial game, despite its great gameplay mechanics. It is not possible to please all audiences. In my opinion, the story has many well-written characters. Naughty Dog breaks conventions and shifted the story to a more darker tune.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Loved every step of it. Probably the biggest reason as to why it received so much backlash was because Joel died. Most players are used to the happy go lucky ending which spoils their perception because Naughty Dog wanted to portray reality of situations. That every action has a consequence. Joel saved Ellie but he took another's life. Ellie and Abby are much similar in terms of seeking revenge but Ellie did come out the 'better' person by forgiveness. Revenge is a toxic path to self destruction.… Expand

    Melhor jogo exclusivo da Playstation junto com Shadow of the Colossus. Eu Joguei e apesar de muitos não terem gostado do jogo por causa da Ellie ser uma protagonista gay (tem que se foder quem ainda pensa dessa maneira homofóbica), ou simplesmente não gostaram da história (Respeito quem não gostou), mas eu amei a história, e a minha opinião é a única que importa, por isso esse jogo é 10 de 10.    … Expand

    And I'm being absolutely honest by saying that The Last of Us 2 is the best game I've ever played. The most deep story I've ever seen in a videogame. I love the fact that Naughty Dog did what they wanted to do instead of doing what everyone wants.

    And I'm being absolutely honest by saying that The Last of Us 2 is the best game I've ever played. The most deep story I've ever seen in a videogame. Fun gameplay and beautiful graphics too with some amazing little details that people will never notice.

    (got a bit frustrated by the cliffhanger right in the middle of the game btw, but eventually I see why they did it. It all makes sense in the end)

    I know that this game is not what some people expected, but the gameplay is excellent, the graphics are outstanding, the tension is brilliant, and the story is superb. Did I like the first game better? Yes. But to expect them to beat that masterpiece is just plain unreasonable. Joel's actions, although valiant in the first installment, had to have consequences, as does a quest for    9.5.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
