    Phenomenal game. Finally got around to playing it. The review bombing proved to be pointless. Over 10 million copies of the game sold to date. It’s an amazing game.

    Hate is unjustified by people who just can’t accept the fact story is not written FOR them. It’s idea of creators and yes you may not like the fact you don’t play JUST as Ellie. But story and end make sense.
    They are all bad people. Ellie and Joel are not good, many just think so, because you play as them in first game and you have emotions for them. But they are both killers.     Gameplay is out of this world and same goes for graphic and animations. Music, everything is top tier, but I understand some may not like the story. But it’s atleast 7-8/10, not even close to being lower, but haters blindly giving 0 just to bomb it and then clap how bad it is “see user score duh”

    If you believe all those reviews are paid, then you are delusional. Simple. Don’t get effected by this blind hate. It’s not justified. It’s awesome game, but dark.    … Expand

    The game is fantastic. The storyline is deep where you can't tell if you're doing a good thing or not. Plenty of collectables and fun things to read in the world. Honestly, its probably the best game to come out this year. Don't let trolls persuade you otherwise. This game is top notch. and I highly recommend it for its fantastic story telling. Play this game, you'll love it.

    Emotional rollercoaster! Absolutely worth it to experience it with yourself.

    – Well written genius story with serious themes and great characters. – Gameplay is improved comparing with Part 1 but still grounded which is good. – Everything about sound and music is simply great. – Graphics looks gorgeous. Fps stable. Picture very smooth. Played it on an original PS4 (fat version).    Emotional rollercoaster! Absolutely worth it to experience it with yourself.

    Ignore the hate. This is a superb continuation of the franchise and it makes the next logical step based on the events of the first game. Avoiding spoilers, this presents the devastatingly futile cycle of violence brought about by revenge and counter-revenge. It contains strong characterisation which makes you sympathetic with all characters once you understand their perspective. There isIgnore the hate. Dynamic levels, beautiful scenery, environmental storytelling, rewarding exploration, flawless voice acting, brutal combat, logical stealth—this game has it all and more. There are many paths through each level, accommodating multiple different play styles. The gameplay of TLOU2 far exceeds the first one.
    What about the story? This is a revenge story first and foremost, but it does it in an interesting and not as cliche as you might think way. I won’t go into detail, but with the believable and well written characters, the story in this one is just as good as the first one.
    Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. Yes, this game features a prominent lesbian couple. Yes, you play as a young female who is either gay or bi (not made clear as of 12 hours into the story). However, this relationship feels organic and real, it feels like a relationship between two young women struggling to survive in a brutal world. If you have issues with seeing two young women engage in a romantic relationship, then this is an issue within yourself and not within the game. I also want to address the notion of “forced diversity” in this game. I just don’t get it. America is not made up of just straight white men and women. The majority of this game takes place in Seattle, in which it makes sense to find large populations of non-white people. It makes sense to see reasonable amounts of non-straight people. So far in the game the only gay people I’ve seen are the main couple (Ellie and Dina) and a random guard talking about her girlfriend. This game has no social agenda that it’s trying to shove down your face - it’s simply creating an immersive and realistic world space. If you don’t like that then again, the problem is with you and not the game.
    Overall, this game is the most immersive, beautiful, and captivating game I’ve ever played. There’s a reason why the critics say 95/100, I implore you to experience this masterpiece for yourself.    … Expand

    It's an incredible game! Amazing how it can stay in the edge of technology, with stunning graphics and gameplay as well as bringing such necessary subject: equality and inclusion. Kudos to Naughtydog for being bold and brave.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Can't choose 9.7 out of 10. I just had some verrry minor complaints with how the ncps handled cover at times but other than that. This game was heart pounding fun. Each battle was so intense and also fear. It was like playing Doom Eternal on nightmare but with a dash of resident evil horror to get your palms sweaty. Gameplay is exactly what you'd expect from playing the first one, just more options now and more refined. Animations are on point. Graphics are a masterclass and put shame to PC master race people. Story was awesome. Not sure what people are hating this for so much, but it seems to be "trendy" to do it. I just played the Last of Us part 1 just before this as well, this game does an amazing job of connecting the first game and second game. It creates a much bigger world of his crazy last of us. Can't wait for if they have a part 3!… Expand

    All i have to say is that if youre giving a bad rating for the game, then go play animal crossing or generic happy endings. Now for my review, all i can say about TLOUP2 is that it is the most incredible game ever made in video game history, it is absolutely perfect and enhanced from the sequel in every aspect. Overall by game being a game it does well, and now for the story, those hating the story should go play games with happy endings, because this game aint like your ordinary game, it does end perfectly well that i cried from how epic and emotional it was, but some might not like it and just like Neil Druckman said that its something that they would have to live with but indeed it is perfect and definitely shows the world of TLOU in its purest! I loved the story as well as gameplay and level design, the new character Abby i also adored so damn much, she is very epic and i really got connected with her that by the end of the game i was speechless and she takes a big part in the games universe. In the end im trying to keep this review as spoiler free as possible and i highly recommend this game with a 10/10 and it really takes the cake of being one of my favorite game of all time and it is on my top 5 personal list of all time! I cant wait to see with what naughty dog brings next to the table. Disclaimer; all those negative reviews dont know what they are talking about and are just doing the negative scores because they dont have anything better to do besides creating negative bots, and only playing for less than 3 hours, so do yourself a favor and listen to people that actually finished the game, mainly reviews with scores of 7-10.… Expand

    I come from the original game, I come from replaying it multiple times. And WOW. I'm impressed. First things first....... the emotion captured during playing this is unreal. I am a 220lb, 6'2" guy, and I teared up few times. The emotion is real, the loss felt is real. During playing, you become emotionally invested in the game. Secondly. Go buy it, play it, you'll love it!

My girlfriend does not even like games and found herself crying just watching it. The basis for true art in any form of media is whether or not you can emotionally connect with it.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
