This is one of the best games I ever played. Go into this game with no expectations and you'll be pleased. I barely played the first last of us and immediately after I played the last of us 2. I feel like the only reason this game got so much flak was because the expectations people hyped up over 7 years. I played them back to back and thought the second part was better.

The game is amazing, graphically impeccable, the gameplay has been improved and it flows very well the storyline manipulates you and you find yourself in doubt about who is hero and villain and question yourself at each different point of view of the actions so far Exciting and impactful, with many hours of gameplay

The Last Of Us Part II is a beautifully tragic story about survival, morality, civilisation, love, loss and hatred.

Its storyline is brutal and intense, and will constantly keep you engaged and wanting to do more. There is never a dull moment, despite the depressing nature of the overall story. It’s ability to make me laugh and cry within the space of 30 seconds was horribly brilliant.

Your emotions are constantly heightened when playing this game, whether that be for good or bad purposes.

Druckmann and his team at Naughty Dog have created a piece of visual art; its graphics and scenery are like no other game I have ever played. I could get lost in the sightseeing of Seattle for hours, searching for every Easter egg and collectible available.

Accompanying this is the most spectacular music and sound design throughout. As a music producer myself, it is something I could only dream of making. (I highly recommend trying the game out with fancy speakers turned up high with the bass booming. You will not regret the experience you encounter).

Not to mention the most incredible acting which also keeps the game both gripping and engaging consistently. Ashley Johnson in particular comes back to play the role of Ellie and she exceeds all expectations. She had a big role to play and could have easily wrecked her reputation as Ellie. However it has been an absolute pleasure playing as her in both games. Next is a newcomer to the game, Shannon Woodward. She plays the role of Dina, providing phenomenal chemistry between her character and Johnson’s. She is the perfect motivator for Ellie and provides such an incredible spark in both characters. Another newcomer to the game, Laura Bailey, provides a new twist to the role of the antagonist known as Abby. Her performance is fresh and exciting, and adds a more humane feel to the stereotypical bad guy. There are many other new additions to this game as well, keeping the storyline constantly evolving the more you delve in. Every character has been written with precise detail and incredible care and it has been wonderful learning about everyone and everything.

The Last Of Us Part II is a game which requires your full attention when playing, or face the fear of missing out on some vital information along the way. I finished the game after a long 21 hours and 46 minutes on moderate difficulty, but felt completely rewarded with my time due to extremely informative cinematic scenes, as well as the ability to search around for artefacts and other collectibles along the way.

Combat was certainly difficult in areas, but required you to think outside the box and therefore challenged me a lot as a player which I admire greatly about this game. Its gruesome clickers never let me off the hook for anything, allowing me to grow as a player with patience, tactical motivation and courage. Other enemies who you will discover later on as well again provide a fresh new feature to this game, truly testing your skills to the maximum.

I would gladly play this game in its entirety again and again. Phenomenal work by Naughty Dog, Druckmann and the rest of the team, and a truly wonderful sequel to follow the first game.

I will never believe in reviews of the gaming community! I don't mean their reviews are false or irrelevant, of course their are, but... Games are art pieces in the same way as movies, books, music, painting... They are meant to cause emotions, not necessarily good emotions.

I was hesitating to play this game, because of comments about "stupid plot", which in most reviews, after further read, you can recognise an emotional opinion, which doesn't consider a "stupidity" of the plot, but rather a negative emotional impact of it. IT WAS MEANT TO BE THIS WAY. It was specifically wrote to make you feel this way. I completely understand that this game isn't for everybody, people often look for relaxing and positive experience, especially in video games. If you are one of this people, even if you'd loved the first game, by all means IT ISN'T A GAME FOR YOU. Still, considering this plot stupid, because it made you feel bad, is like criticising "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" to be "stupid", because its a sad movie.

Besides "stupid plot", there are opinions about "leftist propaganda"... So what if Ellie isn't heterosexual? Not everyone is! And it was hinted in the first game, so don't act surprised! So what if Abby isn't the most feminine character in the history of pop culture? She is a damn soldier! Consider this character to be male. Do you expect, that 50 kg man to be a Rambo in a post-apocalyptic, zombie infested world? Of course she have to be buffed. You may aks "So why she isn't a man in the first place?". It's a valid question! In my opinion, Abby was created as female to be much more close to Ellie, as a character.

To end my rant and start an actual review (spoilers ahead).

I won't comment the actual game play, because as I see, the general consensus is that it's overall very good. I think the same and the main point of this game is its plot. For a long time I thought that game have to try to be "cinematic" and to be "just like movies". This game, and the first one actually, changed my mind. Now MOVIES have to try to be like video games. First game was about searching for humanity in god-forsaken world, this one is about losing it and considering "who is actually human?". At this point everything may be considered a SPOILER!!!

    *YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*

I have read some reviews, that criticise changing the narration from point of Elly to Abby. I think its main quality of this game! Abby perspective shows, that nobody is sinless, everybody deserves a punishment. Abby and Elly both lost father, even if he isn't a biological one in Elly's case. Both had lost friends, both can't live being aware that the second one is still breathing, and its a main point of this game. Where is this thin line which separates humans from monsters? When can we consider the other side to be hurt enough? Should we even consider it in the first place?

Don't understand me wrong, after Joel's death I wanted to see Abby's guts on the screen, I could not consider this game to be good without having seeing her die in most gruesome way possible. I often consider the "revenge stories" to be crap if protagonist doesn't kill the antagonist, and just letting him/her live. This story is different and that why it had moved my! Showing Abby's perspective made me hesitant. Is Elly a good guy in this story? Joel clearly deserved what he got, at least from Abby's point of view. Maybe Elly was a monster not Abby? That's thing that everyone should consider separately, because this question does not have a good answer.

    *FINAL NOTE (without spoilers)*

Just give this game a chance, buy it used/discounted, let it move you. Games shouldn't make the same mistake as many movies, have a good guy be good, and a bad guy be bad. Games should be risky and show as something new from time to time. If you don't like it... ITS FINE, write your opinion, just I've did! It wasn't my intention to criticise ones that didn't like this game. I just want game designers to experiment with their creations. Please don't bash them for this! You may don't like the effect of their work, but at least, as a community, we have to praise them for showing something different, something new, something new...

To see the depravity of the TLOA2 world is an incredible experience. Balanced with the love many of the characters have for each other, you can really fear for Ellie’s life, and Abby’s.

A lot of the people here are taking stuff massively out of context and clearly have little to no understanding of the characters, their motivations, and the complex development throughout. The story also doesn't necessarily hold your hand with the character's reasoning, it's largely up to you to put it all together and a lot of people don't have the patience to do that.

The story is great, the gameplay is stellar, the graphics are wonderful, the music is perfect. There's so many memorable and emotional scenes.

This game will go down as one of the best of all time. Again, an absolute masterpiece.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part II is a cinematic Masterpiece. In classic Naughty Dog fashion the story is unpredictable and takes you on a 30 hour thrill ride as you learn Abbys motivation for killing Joel. I thought this twist was smartly written in a sense that it made me empathize with Abby. Naughty Dog has also out done themselves in terms of Gameplay as the dedicated dodge button and a much more nimble Ellie makes for a far more engaging experience. The Enemy encounters are also much more intense because of this. The level designs are also the best out of any Naughty Dog game. Overall, The Last of Us Part II goes in an unpredictable direction, as its characters, story and gameplay make this another Naughty Dog Masterpiece that never drags or loses focus despite its lengthy run. After playing through this – I dare say 'masterpiece' – it just confirms, for me, that a large portion of the 30.000 plus negative reviews are most likely from transphobic and homophobic fanboys. This game is ground braking, innovative in it's cast and the storytelling is at its finest, purest and rawest!

Some are mad that they killed Joel. Let me ask you, what did you expect? He had enemies and if you ask me, he deserved to die. What he did in the end of TLOU 1 was selfish. I understand why he did it, killed all the medics and saved Ellies life, but for what cost? Save one life, because you cannot handle your emotions and let millions to suffer. That is a scumbag move. Beggining of TLOU 2 felt like a High school drama game and again, what did you expect? We are playing as a 18 years old girl, who is in love, no freaking sh*t that they did it. And what does it matter who she kisses boy or a girl.
I'm not done yet with this game and I don't know if I like this game. But for now gameplay 9/10, atmosphere 10/10 and story is 9/10, lvl disain 10/10, sound/audio 10/10. Graphics 10/10, feels like playing with ps5

Why do I rate this game right know? Because of bombing...
I hate then games or movie/TV series try to write some SJW or some forced gay sh*t into the story. Key word is forced.
Example is Netflix Witcher. If it's not forced SJW then I don't know.
But for know TLOU2 does not feel forced and all is going smoothly, reccomend to play. Have been playing for 9 hours and already shocking.
