    This was honestly one of the best games I’ve ever played. From the presentation to the acting to sound design to the tense encounters. I loved every minute of it and I’m about to play it again.

The main characters were perfectly balanced, like the perfect equation, I enjoyed every single moment spent playing, I loved both characters, I cried for Joel, I cried for Dina, but in the end I thought that there could be no ending best.     Story ,gameplay , graphics,sound, voice acting,tension , jump scares ,exploration, level design, crafting ,loot , skills , very smart AI never seen such one in any game , tons of options..did i forgot something? This game is a paradise for any gamer it has it all and done masterfully.

    I think this game was amazing and all about perspective and character and world building. The cast and crew did an amazing job with writing and acting. It was an emotional ride and tied with the first game as my favorite games of all time thank you Naughty Dog for the wonderful experience that was these 2 games and I look forward to future games.     One of the best games of this generation so far!!! I have no regrets on buying or by playing this masterpiece!! Well done Naughty Dog and Sony as well by having one of the best and universally acclaimed franchise of all the time!!!!

    This game is beautifully, whether your straight or lgbt this game is for you, it draws you into this grimey dark world, for a long time follower of this game it pulls at heart strings I have never felt while playing .

    Bestes Spiel das ich je gespielt habe. Die Story ist nicht für jeden was. Im ersten Part ging es um Liebe, Natürlich werden diesen mehr mögen als den in dem es um Hass und Rache geht.

Me gusta mucho la historia y como todo cobra sentido mientras avanza, a lo mejor la muerte de Joel no fue tan épica y fue demasiado rápida, en eso concuerdo pero luego llegas a empatizar en un punto con Abby, aunque igual sigo sin poder creer que Joel muera, pero si su muerte no fuera real la venganza de Ellie no tendría tanto impacto y ganas de hacerla, el juego te pone en ambos lados y tienes que elegir a favor de quien estás, Ellie y Abby han sufrido mucho y este juego en tanto historia y guión fue muy bueno y logra tener momentos emocionantes.… Expand

    I'm only a few hours in and this game is fantastic! A beautiful addition to the world of The last of us and Neil Druckman has pulled out all the stops once again. With gorgeous area design and characterisation, I cannot wait to keep playing

Plus, every other aspect of the game is brilliant. From the the realistically flawed human beings, to the gorgeous graphics that make you feel like you're controlling a real person in a very real world. No word of a lie, one of the greatest games I've ever played. If you haven't played it do yourself a favour and play this gem, because you'd be missing out if you're judging the game from three scenes that make sense if you play but don't if you won't. (Additionally, the only people **** on it are kids who use memes as their profile pictures, and people who are really salty about Joel dying and refuse to play the game)… Expand

    I can't find one reason to complain about the game (except maybe how unrealistic it can be, which isn't all that much considering it is a game with mushroom zombies in it) I've seen reviews where people have complained about there not being enough space to be explored, which isn't even true, and even if it were, no one seemed to have an issue with that when the first game was released, both games are linear by nature, they are games that tell a story, not a game about exploring every nook and cranny of a city.

    Anyways, if you enjoyed the first game, play this one and pretend you haven't read any reviews, draw your own conclusions and don't hate the game because so many others do.    … Expand

    Pls do not listen to any of the reviews (user). The game has only been out for a less of Day and the story is 20-24 hours how could they have finished the game. I have never been really conflicted in a game before until this I can see where people are coming from with Abby's character but in my personal opinion her character is amazing. At first I was dreading playing her for killing Joel but as I did so I fell for her as a character. Both Ellie and Abby have a problem of revenge as that is the main driving force for these two and really shows the downfall of suck beliefs in both of them.… Expand

    I actually played the game, and I loved every minute of it. The way the game recontexualises the orginial and gives new perspectives to the cycles of violence that drive the conflict in the game was masterfully done.

    Naughty Dog have done it again. Even to play this just for the story this is phenomenal. Game play is terrifying (in a great way) and you truly feel like you are in a zombie apocalypse.

I had some complaints about the menus and the HUD, at first, but then I later learned that I could resolve those issues with the more obscure "Accessibility" settings. Also, the first game has one of my all-time favorite stories in video games, but I might like the second game's story even more. SoEDIT: Ok, so I finished the game, and decided to change my rating from a 9 to a 10. I had some complaints about the menus and the HUD, at first, but then I later learned that I could resolve those issues with the more obscure "Accessibility" settings. Also, the first game has one of my all-time favorite stories in video games, but I might like the second game's story even more. So emotional and so well done. I heard spoilers before I played the game, but some of the spoilers were inaccurate. Most of the complaints against those spoilers were motivated by bigotry, which is kind of funny now that the spoilers have been discredited. For example, I heard that Abby was a transgender person transitioning from female to male. Nope, she is just muscular and badass, which fits her setting and story exceptionally well. I never liked femme fatales, anyway. They aren't believable. Abby is very believable. Have an open mind. Play this game.

    I just want to add my voice to those who are calling out the review-bombers, while being as vague as I possibly can be. It's true, this game is great and it's being attacked by triggered snowflakes. I don't feel the need to talk about gameplay too much, really. Did you like the first one? You'll like this one, then. There are significantly bigger battle arenas, more stealth techniques, etc. Think of Halo 1 vs. Halo 2. Halo 1 was innovative, while 2 didn't innovate so much. Instead, it refined and amped up the style of the first one. Anyway, what I really want to talk about is the "politics" surrounding it.

    Some of the major themes behind the original story include things like healthy and unhealthy ways of coping with loss, dealing with difficult truths, and the subversion of expectations. That is exactly what people are getting with this story and these characters as well. The same things that made the ending of the first game such a gut-punch are all here to punch you in the gut again. Sorry, the game doesn't follow some formulaic, Marvel-style character arc. Some people find that **** boring. Sorry that some characters that you probably love are going to get **** on by newer characters. What did you expect from a sequel? A ten-hour campaign about how everything is going great for everybody? It's a game about a **** zombie apocalypse. Things get rough, LIKE THE FIRST GAME. This game isn't going to hold your hand through a cookie-cutter adventure. Like the first game, it will challenge your sense of what should be and what should not be.

    Maybe you are uncomfortable with certain character traits that could possibly be considered "PC" by an "SJW?" Well, guess what? Whether you like it or not, those kinds of people exist. They are human, and they can have compelling motivations. Maybe you don't like the fact that they exist? Too bad, because they do. I'm sorry that you don't want to empathize with a type of human whose existence slightly disrupts your worldview. But really, it would be healthy for you to try to empathize, regardless of your personal beliefs. In the first game, I didn't like the existence of the fungus zombies, the cannibals, or Joel's choice at the end. But that stuff is there and you just have to learn to deal with it if you want to play the game. But it's those types of things that made the story/characters so compelling and memorable. The second game also forces you to face more hard truths about what morality is and what happens when there is a lack of it.

    I haven't even finished the game, and there have already been three separate cutscenes that made me choke up a bit. I don't do that too much. Even the positive reviews I have seen have complained about the "lack of character development." They either don't know what it is or have no heart/soul. Surely what they mean to say is, "I don't like the way the characters developed." Because character development is definitely there, and it is done well. I can see why people may not like certain plot points, but from an objective perspective, this is good art. This is a great example of video games as an effective and meaningful storytelling tool.     This game is so beautiful! With its trans sjw bs being crammed down our throats and subpar characters this game is completely amazing, nothing wrong at all! Cus you know the TLOU community love nothing more than **** gameplay mechanics and a very abhorant story! truly the best game ever! I completely believe the critics are right and totally werent paid money for their bs!

    Why are people such cry-babies? This story sticks to it's roots by making realistic choices and decisions with the writing. People don't live forever and you cant be the hero, forever. The game play is generation defining and is very rewarding, the game will either reward you or punish you based on your decisions and I love this dynamic. I've overall enjoyed the entirety of the game.

You do get lost in exploring the world and find perfect little gems that shake you and at the same time relieve the tension and you understand that the story is about growing up in a **** up wasteland whoIt's sad to see all these bad reviews.. not sure if the new age gamers mature enough to play this or I am stuck in a nostalgic dream.     I don’t get why so many people underrate this game. It’s looking gorgeous, gameplay is stunning and the plot... it’s definitely very mature and different to everything I’ve played in my last 20 years of gaming. I suppose most of those people are childish trolls who have issues with topics which are beyond their ability to reason!

    "changing"/"disregard for" characters mentioned so much in other reviews is code for "I don't like gay people". It is also incorrect because the character was always gay and nothing in the first game suggested otherwise.     Waited 7 years and spent € 60,- and 30+ hours on a mediocre story with well polished gameplay and amazing graphics.
    If I could I'd give it a 5/10 I would, but MC won't let me
    I hoped they'd put as much effort as they put into the amazing mechanics and beautiful graphics as they did the story.

    First game by Naughty Dog I didn't love

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
