    I cant even begin to describe what a let down this was as a sequel. Good graphics will only get you so far, that is why amazing games like Star wars KOTOR have aged well in terms of a overall game well this one will be forgotten. I don't know what's worst the fact that we have to play as Abby even after she kills Joel or the fact that we don't get the satisfaction of her dying in the end. I get the message that was supposed to cross but everyone's hate and just not giving a **** about her character made it all so much worse that she didn't die. As well lets just completely forget that this world is full of lore that was thrown down the trash. People who communicate by sound is pathetic and lazy considering one of the monsters uses sound waves considering clickers.    … Expand

Ok u almost didnt change gameplay things - for sure its incredible hard to improve, still possible but its too hard. You got a really BIG money for this game and u did THIS? Guys this game is literally trash. LGBT Elli? Sure why not, noone cares about it, let her do whatever u want. But what the heck was that plot? You killed one of the most popular characters and expecting what? Im just continue that game, when half of game im playing on character what i hate. Next time, please, use your own brain and delete this screenwriter from this project. I finished that game just with laught. SPOILER They killed off Joel in the first hour, Joel dying is not the main problem though, in fact many of us expected it. Its the way he died that just sucked. This man who traveled the country surviving through bullet wounds and putting his life on the line for a 14 year old girl died from a golfclub, thats right, a GOLFCLUB, and not even in a heroic way, just straight up thrown away as a character so that they can go all SJW.… Expand

The story of this game is an absolute dumpster fire that disrespects the characters of the first game even worse than recent star wars are a disgrace to the original characters. If you want to pay 60 bucks to get preached to by the PC police then this game is for you! If not, avoid at all costs. I would have even been fine with certain things happening, i knew there was a reckoning coming for some characters, but the way they actually do it, and the entire storyline is just an epic failure. The ending alone is enough reason to pretend this game never existed, TLOU future needs to retcon this entire pathetic excuse for a story and reboot the series with an actual story that is interesting and not just political agenda driven garbage.… Expand

    Story is a complete farce, and one of the main characters has Roided out man arms, she is a horrible character, that is not likable in the least.

    I'm so disappointed, such a great characters and beautiful story from first game. Was not continued in sequel. This game is a torture not fun as it should be. It is hard to not acknowledge the the graphics is beautiful, location's are full different things and details. But for me this is story driven game so if im disappointed about this all other things are not important.

    I don't understand how this is a masterpiece to some people. The story is just pure crap, plain and simple. I wish I could get a refund and believe me I tried from the online store. Save yourself the trouble and don't spend money on this garbage You are better off just watching a playthrough if you are curious how the crappy story goes.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where to begin, let's get the obvious out of the way first they killed Joel whoever came up with that suggestion in the meeting at naughty dog needs to be fired anyone who agreed needs to be fired.

    Then they go on and treat his death like we hadn't already played a previous game for 30+ hours or more depending on how many times you played through the first game. By making him out to be a bad guy for what he did.

    That's lazy writing because the reason this Abby character kills Joel is because her dad was one of the doctors that was going to kill Ellie in the first game.
    Naughty dog can't punish you for a choice that you had to make in the first game which everyone was in board with by the way cause eveyione fell in love with Joel and Ellie relationship and then in this game it punishes you by killing Joel. Like that is bad writing we are being punished for something we had no choice against.

    The game makes you sit through half the run time playing as Abby helping her friends out when you already have seen playing as Ellie that they all die anyway so why would we feel any suspense when we are going around with them we know there not going to die because we know how they die, there is just no reason. In to why we would feel the need to invest ourselves in her story arc.

    Naughty dog shows you what happens then makes you play the scenes leading up to it however these "scenes go on for half the game" it was such a waste of time.

    Also the final nail in the coffin for me was when the game forces you to beat up Ellie to near death as Abby WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO That Ellie is not the bad guy why are we being forced to play as this unlike ale terrible and horrible person.

    This review is all over the place and pretty much a rant so I know I've missed out a lot of things it would take forever to pick this game apart and why it was the biggest let down ever and how it has single handndley ruined and entire franchise for me I can't even play the first one anymore because naughty dog has destroyed this story so much. It pains me because I use to love these characters or at least Joel and Ellie but know ones dead and the other one destroyed I just can't with this game franchise anymore congratulations naughty dog you have killed one of your most popular franchises absolutely disgraceful.    … Expand

Ты просто не можешь прочувствовать персонажа так же, как Элли. Я закрывал глаза на это, считая что: «Нууу.... зато это расширяет историю, показывает через другую призму». Но после того, как меня собственными руками заставили сражаться против персонажа, чья судьба для меня стала чём-то настолько важным и ценным, с помощью персонажа, к которому у меня полное отвращение и неприязнь, чьи чувства мне не близки так как для меня это по-прежнему кто-то чужой.... я просто перехотел играть в игру. Мне просто не нравится эта игра. Я мог бы ее ненавидеть или обожать, но она заставила меня быть к ней равнодушной, будто бы я купил игру в стиме за пару сотен. «Мне не нравится эта игра» - прочувствуйте то чувство безнадежности, звучащее из уст фаната. Эта игра стала для меня нелепым образцом плохого сиквела. Может быть это я что-то не понимаю? Может быть Собака ожидала от меня, что поиграв пару часика за какую-то мерзкую бабу, я стану ей сопереживать и вовсе перейду на ее сторону? Не знаю даже, что сказать. С одной стороны события вокруг Эбби были интересными, вот только сам персонаж мне этим больше не понравился.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. visually stunning yes, but everything that made the game so good is gone. the story makes no sense, ellie's charming, witty personality is nowhere to be seen, the writing is weak and, at times, even cringy. what made this such a masterpiece and joy to play was joel's and ellie's dynamic. k*lling him within the first 2 hours makes absolutely no sense, and naughty dog wasn't capable of at least creating a new character that had a dynamic with ellie just as good as joel's so the whole game just died. and the moral of the story is mind boggling... spontaneous forgiveness after hundreds of kills to push the idea that "revenge is bad"? i really can't figure out what was naughty dog's goal with this. the gameplay is pretty much the same as the first game, with some tweaks here and there, but really nothing new. again, it is absolutely beautiful to look at and runs super smooth but what does it matter if i get to the end of it and i feel like i've just wasted 20+ hours playing it? disappointing at best.… Expand

    Unfortunately an amazing game such as the first Last of Us has to receive a politicized sequel like this. I was shocked at the sexual content that is in this game for virtually no reason. I think no matter what side of the aisle you stand we should all agree that video games should leave out the politics for the better.

The truth is this game is a reverend **** the lousy story, but it is very pessimistic, people waiting 5 years for them to come and give them a game garbage where they kill the protagonist and believe that the game will make 10 out of 10 non-friends, they had a mind rat believe that in the first game someone liked ellie is a lousy character in history in the first did almost nothing.… Expand

    Это абсолютно мерзко.Ждал эту игру столько лет, не смотрел даже трейлеры, чтобы не портить впечатление, а в итоге..... Игра казалась мне достаточно хорошей, совершенно иной, но все же хорошей. До тех пор пока тебя не заставляют играть за антагониста, чья судьба тебе абсолютно неинтересна. Ты просто не можешь прочувствовать персонажа так же, как Элли. Я закрывал глаза на это, считая что:Это абсолютно мерзко.Ждал эту игру столько лет, не смотрел даже трейлеры, чтобы не портить впечатление, а в итоге..... Игра казалась мне достаточно хорошей, совершенно иной, но все же хорошей. До тех пор пока тебя не заставляют играть за антагониста, чья судьба тебе абсолютно неинтересна. Ты просто не можешь прочувствовать персонажа так же, как Элли. Я закрывал глаза на это, считая что: «Нууу.... зато это расширяет историю, показывает через другую призму». Но после того, как меня собственными руками заставили сражаться против персонажа, чья судьба для меня стала чём-то настолько важным и ценным, с помощью персонажа, к которому у меня полное отвращение и неприязнь, чьи чувства мне не близки так как для меня это по-прежнему кто-то чужой.... я просто перехотел играть в игру. Мне просто не нравится эта игра. Я мог бы ее ненавидеть или обожать, но она заставила меня быть к ней равнодушной, будто бы я купил игру в стиме за пару сотен. «Мне не нравится эта игра» - прочувствуйте то чувство безнадежности, звучащее из уст фаната. Эта игра стала для меня нелепым образцом плохого сиквела. Может быть это я что-то не понимаю? Может быть Собака ожидала от меня, что поиграв пару часика за какую-то мерзкую бабу, я стану ей сопереживать и вовсе перейду на ее сторону? Не знаю даже, что сказать. С одной стороны события вокруг Эбби были интересными, вот только сам персонаж мне этим больше не понравился. Эти события не хотелось бы выписывать из игры, но все же - заставлять себя играть против своей же стороны - мерзко. Кто-то скажет: «Но через геймплей за Эбби и последующую драку с Элли тебе становятся понятны ее мотивы, ты чувствуешь врага потому что смотришь его глазами». Да...… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where to start ? This game is all about lying to your face. Gameplay is from 2013 and like 5hr in I could count like 8 zombies. Second part is even worse the coffee scene is a disgrace for this franchise and makes someone almost puke on how low budget the plot is. The game is not perfect but trying to give it a 10 at every turn when this game is filled with bugs and plot holes is just utterly disrispectful towards your fans and consumers and making fanboys fight for a lost cause. The game is less than 0 because there is no significant and true emotional content only pretty graphics with the most distorted story possible. This is a shame on game journalists and media in general not because is bad to like it but because they are unable to look at it's inumerous flaws. People are not happy.… Expand

    Worst game ever. Last of us wasn't great because of its gameplay but for its story and characters. This game absolutely craps on those characters and forces absolute rubbish down the throats of fans whilst keeping the same stale gameplay. Plus the amount of pure murder is incredibly numbing in this game both in the cutscenes and in the game play, something the first game didn't really haveWorst game ever. I just don't know what the writers were thinking. If this game was a standalone, I'd give it like a 4/10 but because it ruins a prior known excellent series, you have to score it a zero. I say this as someone who absolutely loved the first game. It just felt like they tried way to hard to be "woke" and did things for shock value.… Expand

    La neta, todo lo que es gráficos, jugabilidad, soundtrack, es perfecto, pero la historia falló mucho, la verdad el final fue tan triste y depresivo que me dejó muy agridulce, por ejemplo, la manera en que perdona a abby se me hizo tan patética, yo creo que una buena manera d e haber terminado el juego hubiera sido que la eleccion de matarla fuera del que está jugando.

    Despite advances in graphics its completely undone by its story and monotonous gameplay. I found myself struggling to keep playing with a lot of the wash, rinse, repeat gameplay. By the time I got to the Seattle day 2, I found the entire game to just be a chore to get through.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
