    A very frustrating story. I was looking forward to play Joel and Ellie, but that was not to be. This game is not for boys. It's only for LGBTQs and far left feminist. The story was completely destroyed by the focus on sexual orientation

    I enjoyed the Last Jedi, and even I find this story an absolute travesty. If Neil Druccman wants to do experiemental writing so much, then do it on his own new IP. Don’t messed up a concluded story everyone already known and loved

    I have bad news to report. I won't be able to finish the Last of Us 2. It is literally one of the most boring games I have ever played, in regards to horror game packed with action. Its just boring. Its the Walking Dead but the zombies have mushrooms on them and is packed with modern day politics. If you enjoyed the first game, believe that it deserved more content, expect to play the additional content with no hopes of closure to the mushroom zombie apocalypse, want to play a game that the mushroom zombies have become second fiddle to the human on human drama (such as sexual preference as opposed to are we going to be killed today by **** zombies), are into playable movies, and a game that like Duke nukem forever took way too long to come out and completely missed its hype train, beautiful graphics that are on par with every other ps4 triple a game, being mislead to think you will continue to play with the same character from the first game to find out you play 12 hours of the game as the man woman, and is riddled with plot holes: then this game is for you. Even still, its not worth $60. I stand strong with the "$1 per hour up to $60" law. And that includes replay hours. Its a 25-30 hour 4 part dlc that derails from the story and has been made into child's play thanks to the dodge button. Im actually pissed off that I had to delete Modern Warfare to install this. If you've ever played a Telltales game, then you know exactly what to expect in terms of gameplay. As for the "open world" aspect, please don't fall for that **** either. The biggest area you encounter is like a downtown area, and you can explore the surrounding buildings on set routes because most of everything is "blocked off" by rubble and clutter. The best way to describe this snooze fest is Telltales Walking Dead on Monster with mushroom walkers and a dodge button. In 16 hours of play time, you spend 3 of it in flashbacks. I haven't made it to the Abbey part, but I've heard its on par with playing as Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2 for the next 12 hours of the game. If you've played MGS2, then you understand and appreciate that comparison. Get gamefly, borrow it off a friend, or wait for a price drop. They've lifted the ban on returning the game, and those that haven't destroyed their physical copies are returning it already, in waves. Play it for yourself and find out. It truly is a spectacle, if youre not a gamer. If you are a gamer, its just another boring game. Keep your politics out of our games, its where we go to escape your politics :)… Expand

    Makes me feel bad about the part of ND team that did a great job when it comes to presentation... but sadly, their tremendous work was in vein, this is unplayable, pointless chore filled with lgbt cringe. I own 700+ of playstation games, all ND games included, since first Crash on PSX, but this... makes me want to quit gaming. Refund.

    As a gamer who loved the first Last of Us and was anticipating this sequel, I have to say that I'm very disappointed. I give it a 1 only because the actors and graphics were phenomenal. These actors made their characters come to life. However, everything else was saddening. The story and characters are boring and forced. I can't believe they released this garbage sequel.

Has some glitches like Dina can't be spotted by the enemies when she is right infront of them. Walking through objects,... Story is garbage. Do yourself a favor and don't listen to paid fake journalist who get paid to write fake reviews. Just go watch some episodes on youtube, decide for yourself and then wait untill it's into the 15 dollars range or buy it 2nd hand because that's what it deserves because that's what it is worth. It was actually they who had concreted stories down for both of those game before leaving (or being kicked out of in certain cases) Naughty Dog.

    With them gone and giving no more input into Naughty Dog's games, it's clear how far the company has fallen from grace. This was a company I grew up with. Crash, Jak & Daxter, Uncharted, TLOU... This new game is completely out of character for a once well respected studio. Even more so, it's come to light that under Neil's direction, crunch is brutal, expression of different beliefs than his have been aggressively denied, and the company tries to shut up those who leave the company through illegal NDAs.

    If this is what 7 years can produce under a one hit wonder and egocentric man like Neil Druckmann, I fear Naughty Dog will never be seen like how they use to; with respect and gratitude.

    In short, this was a horribly written game on the same level of teenage fan fiction, and I don't recommend it to anyone.    … Expand

    Imagine you order the most beautiful coffee table you have ever seen in your life, and the price it's the average price that usually an expensive coffee table has (AAA game). So the cheap price or a good discount factors were not considerations, you just want the happiness it will bring to your life because you love coffee (games) each morning and that cost the extra money for you. Now the company bring you the coffee table, install it, and leave. Next morning, you serve your coffee in your special cup, put the cup on the coffee table and the table crumbles, falls and practically destroy itself, and there goes my special coffee cup with it.
    Now ask yourself should i give a good review or some positive points to the table for being beautiful even if did not do what it suppose to do? And even took my beautiful coffee cup that i loved with it.

    As a side note, you know time costs money (unless you don't value yourself). So what about the time yo invest looking for that (experience), reading lies of it, waiting for it, and now the process of maybe losing your hard to get money to, or give more of your time for a refund process, and possibly enter in a discussion loop with the company, that at times it goes nowhere.

    Some people will say “Well, that's what reviews are for” Well, this game receive a lot of perfect scores (even more than The Witcher 3), this game is proof that the media its not a trusty source, so if you still do trust those media companies, then the non-objective is you, because you are living in a fantasy bubble. Others will say “Then you should wait for a more trusty users review” Well i'm that guy, and even being that guy this companies still indirectly screw you with this garbage. How? in my case, it was a kind gift from my girlfriend, she knew i loved the first one. And because a gift is something you normally get without you knowing, companies still get you in a way. No solo lo repugnante de querer adoctrinar al jugador, sino también la forma de crear una falsa sensación de contar una historia, el único arco argumental definido es la sexualidad de sus personajes, algo totalmente innecesario en este tipo de juego. Luego, los giros de tramas son clichés y deux máquina sin sentido, para vender un buenismo ideológico basado en conceptos infantiles; del cual este juego no esta dirigido, sino que esta orientado a personas adultas por el contexto mismo del juego. Un Final inverosímil que no tiene lugar alguno en la realidad (Copia barata de The Walking Dead). Es una lastima, que tanto talento de artistas involucrados en el proyecto, sea pisoteado por personas que quieren vender una agenda política y un ideología tóxica. Si se pierde toda focalización de entretener al jugador y pretender meterse en sus ideas, se pierde toda razón por lo cual los videojuegos fueron creados. Una verdadera lastima.     We waited 7 years to get some Agenda thrown at us. The characters dont act at all like in the first game, not because they grown as a character but because the story wants them to. This game is the worst stuff I played in the last five years.

    I don't know what to say about this game. When i played the last of us back in 2013 i was also watching the Game of Thrones. You guys may call me stupid on this comparison but i used to say Neil Druckmann is R.R. Martin of games. Because it was so beautiful that i had changed my views about how a good game should be. I am not from a very wealthy family my father was a school teacher and to earn better living he was part time home tutor. The people he used to teach were landlords and very wealthy. When i was graduate i became tutor to those kid's kids. , i used to see kids playing PS2 and i was fascinated by its graphics. i was fan of games since i was 7 years old. Big fan of KOF. My financial condition did not allow me to buy it but still after saving money I bought PS2. Played many games but one day I brought The God Of War. Oh my god what a game that was. I played 1st and 2nd . Now i was waiting for 3rd part. But unfortunately Part 3 was released on PS3 and i was way beyond my buying power furthermore there was no chance of buying pirated copy. So i watched entire game on Youtube. What a game that was !!!! what a game ... So I once again saved enough money Bought PS3 only to play God of War 3. and first game i bought was God of War 3. No matter i knew entire gameplay and story. But it was so good that i baugh it for $50.
    But as for the last of us 2 i admit i spoiled the game for me right when leaks were out. I still watched entire gameplay. I search for even a little bit thing that would force me to buy this game. But i didn't find anything apart from some very tensed moments.
    1st time Ellie goes kills everyone who never wanted Joel dead they were only ready to go because abby was there friend. Comes back home with broken nose, Jesse dead and Tommy's leg broken and losing one eye.
    2nd Time Ellie goes all the way killing people to kill her right when I was at my orgasm she left her hand and let abby go.

    If you guys are following the walking dead. People are trying to go back to their normal life by developing things. They are not only being savages or cannibals. But in the last of us 2 we didn't see hope in any one's mind that he will try to make world as it was before. You only 2 factions. many things could have been done to make this game playable or i should say buyable but you keep watching stupidity after stupidity. For eg. instead of unnecessary flash backs they could develop a gameplay of Tommy. We wouldn't mind playing as Joel's brother after watching how badass sniper he is. Shooting the guy in the head, who spits on Joel was so satisfying but it would have been more satisfying if it were we playing as Tommy. But no!! Mr Neil wanted the girls to handle the Job. But unfortunately his girls failed horrendously. Neil Should know to get a baby (Outcome) he need a dick with vagina there will be no outcome if two girls will be rubbing their Viginas with each other.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly didn't want to have to write this review, but after how much I loved The Last of Us and hated the sequel, I figure I need to verbalize what's actually wrong with the game.

    Now, gameplay and graphics are great, bu the reason I'm not giving this game any points is because it's a story-focused game. You don't get points for sound and visuals if the overall experience is horrendous.

    First off, there seems to be this idea going around that people hate this game because of the lesbian relationship and depiction of transgendered individuals. Personally, I haven't played a ton of games with LGBT characters, but one outstanding game that comes to mind is VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action. In this game you take the role of a bartender named Jill in a cybernetic dystopian-like future. You learn about the world through the characters you serve, and their stories shape your understanding of this world the story takes place in.

    It's a narrative-driven game, just like TLOUP2, and has an array of different genders and sexualities. The inclusion of LGBT in this game doesn't take away from the story, but rather is a part of it, without pandering or trying to point out how "woke" the developers are.

    In TLOUP2, men are bad. Joel is a "stupid old man" as Abby describes him, before bashing him to death with a golf club. A man gives Ellie some steak sandwiches and she gives them away calling them "bigot sandwiches". Throughout the story their are interactions that leave you feeling as though the game is going out of it's way to paint men as bad people. If that's how someone feels, great. But if the only way you can build up women and feminism is by bashing men then that's pretty shallow and weak story-telling. That doesn't even touch on the unnecessarily long segments of over the top romance scenes with Ellie and Dina. It's like the developers were pointing a flashing sign saying "look how progressive we are at Naughty Dog!" As I said, nothing wrong with LGBT relationships, but when you go over the top with the romance it makes it seem pandering and shallow, less like you want inclusion and more like you want to make yourselves seem woke.

    One of the biggest criticisms I have is how out of character the main characters seem to act. Joel and Tommy trusting strangers and giving their real names when they've just met makes absolutely zero sense. If you don't believe me, go play the Last of Us part 1 again. Or just watch some cut-scenes. Joel is incredibly cautious around new people, a trait he passed on to Ellie by the end of the first game, and it's almost like this game was made by a whole different team than the ones who made the first game. It's insane.

    And lastly, the overall narrative. Now, at this point if you've played the game it's pretty obvious this story has an overall message about revenge, and essentially how revenge is bad and ends up becoming a never-ending cycle. It's a pretty basic theme we've seen in many stories before. But generally speaking, the way it works is that if the audience genuinely feels as though letting the antagonist live and ending the cycle of revenge is justified. That the audience feels a genuine connection with the antagonist, and that the protagonist has had enough of an experience that has changed their perspective about getting revenge.

    Well, that doesn't happen here. Abby continues to be unlikable throughout this game, and playing with her for about 10 hours (which the game forces you to do) you don't feel like you've come to understand or appreciate her character more. And if anything, I think that's more the fault of the writers at Naughty Dog than it is with the player. The game never explicitly answers a very simple question: why should I care about Abby when she murdered Joel? It attempts to "humanize" her by making you play from her perspective, but again, never answers the question outright. And at the end of the game, right when you as the player feel as though Joel will be avenged, Ellie decides against it. After killing so many other people who were involved in his death, she spares the one person who deserves to die more than any of the others. It leaves the player feeling less like they experienced a videogame and more like they left a terribly written movie.

    In short, I think the worst thing about this game is although I can get my money back, I can't get my time back that I wasted on this abysmal, horribly written "gaming" experience. 0/10. Honestly play something else.    … Expand

Joel is not used properly as a character, he's just a plot point. It feels like they are embarrassed by the original game characters so theg create a bunch of new ones that aren't nearly as interesting.

Joel would never make a mistake like this. He was a badass, at least give him a noble death. The central of the game was the relationship between Joel and Ellie and right at the beginning, Joel is gone. It's not about the fact that he died. IT'S HOW HE DIED!
