    You Neil, didn't know jack **** about Joel and depicted him as a shy dadlike character who would'a save a random stranger/follow her and just announce himself in a place full of strangers. I cannot compare this story choice to GOT Season 8 or Star Wars Last Jedi **** show BECAUSE they have a lot of hours of content so maybe that can be justifiable as directors losing consistency over a long shot. This is the second game of the franchise. Who do you think you are to change pace of the story in such if this is 10th season of some Walking Dead like show? This is the second mistake.

    Finally you pushed a political agenda in your game for every inch of an hour. People just want to play their game. They do not want to relate to poorly written characters who just happens to not be cis gender. They just want to play their game because they like the series so much. You could have written literally anything else and it would be worth our while. and you treat your devs who sweat 12 hours a day like robots that third and fourth mistake. I was handed 100 cards full of mistake I just don't have patients to go on.

The story and the characters blow me away every time I go though it. So, to say that I have been waiting a lot for this second game, is an understatement. But, as much as I love the first one, as much I hate this second game. I literally feel like punching my fist through the wall, throw my PS4 and that game out the window, run down the street, throw gasoline on it, set it on fire and then pee on the ashes. Why would anyone spend so many resources to make such a great and beautiful game and then apply the most terrible storyline ever? It makes NO sense to me. I wonder what Naughty Dog has been thinking; "Hey, let's make a bunch of trailers showing Ellie and Joel, then kill Joel in the most brutal way ever and make them play the game as Joel’s murder" - WHAT THE ****! It is like you have been trolling us for the last couple of years and make us buy this game on false premises. Imagine you bought a new Zelda game, Link gets slaughtered and then you play rest of game as Link’s murder. Why would anyone want that? I avoided the leaks in good faith, but now I just wasted a bunch of money. I am so depressed right now, as if 2020 was not bad enough already. But hey, I guess you can say that The Last of Us Part 2 fits 2020 perfectly – It is like this game was made to finish people off...… Expand

    The plot of this game and new characters is just ultimately disgusting. Its actually not the sequel of masterpiece, I will never admit this trash as sequel.

    Cruelty of scene with ... is mind breaking. Director, burn in hell please.

    Well. I would say combat of this game is good, really good but nothing more. Story is awful while it is a story-based game, not Call of Duty. Characters are bad and soulless. Puzzles were bad in first game(if we can call them puzzles), it is still same. Saving bucks is the best option.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Первая часть «The Last of US», была банальной в плане геймплея и сюжета, но концепция у неё была хорошей. Именно из-за концепции я заинтересовался, как и пост-апокалипсисом, так и зомби жанром. За эти 7 лет мной были прочитаны десятки книг, просмотрены десятки фильмов этих жанров. И перед выходом второй части я переиграл первую. И лучше бы не переигрывал! Т.к. выявилось что помимо слабого исполнения, сюжет изобилует в наглую «скомуннизденных» идей и элементов других произведений, что были написаны или сняты за долго до выхода первой части.
    О вот вышла вторая часть. И лучше бы она не выходила бы! Помимо красивой графики, дизайна локаций, да и вообще прекрасной детализации графики в игре нет ничего хорошего или удовлетворительного. Геймплей надоел уже через 3 часа. Персонажи получили даунгрейд, как про проработке, так и по мотивации. Сюжет все также остался на 25% банальным, 35% «скомуннизденным» у других и 40% оригинальных идей. И лучше бы этих 40% не было. Эти 40% и идеями назвать нельзя. Также в игре присутствует насилие ради насилия, неожиданные сюжетные повороты ради неожиданных поворотов (при чем наверное одна треть из них может с натяжкой называться адекватной и не лишенной логики).
    Многие критики и обычные игроки отмечают, что эта игра несет великий посыл о мести. Но даже в таких произведениях как «Красный змей» с Тактраровым и «Мачете» с Денни Трехо лучше раскрывают этот посыл, при чем «Красный змей» делает это без эксплуатационного «шок-контента». Ну а про то, что Дюма со своим «Графом Монте-Кристо» смотрел бы на «Великий Посыл о Мести в «The Last of Us part2»», как на попытку школьника расписать ручку перед уроком я Вам гарантирую.
    Поэтому это скорее техно-демка Playstation нежели игра. В Плане посмотрите какая шикарная картинка на PS4, а представите как эта картинка будет выглядеть на PS5. На PS5 я бы поставил ей 4/10, но на PS4 0.4/10.
    P.S. Всю рекламную компанию игры я прошел в полной информационной изоляции, поэтому не знал про слитый сюжет, слитую информацию и т.д. Но после вступительного диалога Джоэла сразу понял чем игра закончится и оказался прав. И про этот уровень проработки сценария весь российский и зарубежный Игрожур воспевал хвалебные одды?    … Expand

    Now unto the main point-the characters,the storyline and MESSAGE.

    1)There was no logic in Ellie's actions if you ask me.You can't carve a bloody path to your enemy and then somehow spare him/her.This was stupid.Really stupid.

    2)Joel acted like a fool and I hope that I don't need to remind you about his past when he was killing people,then he was a smuggler.So due to his experience and he should've felt a threat from a mile away...They destroyed him as a character and then Neil Druckmann spitted on his corpse.He created such a great and complex character and then THIS happened.Great job.Self-destruction-100 as they say in memes.

    3)The message.I don't need Druckmanns political views.I needed a good story with a good well-written characters not this SJW stuff.Some may say that this is his project well then he won't get any money from me and the Capitalism always wins.

    4)Where did Abby got a fresh steroids during the apocalypse I wonder?

I can understand why joel is die, but you should be show respect who saves abby's life. She does not mention about it who takes risk to save unknown person. Even he is enemy.     One positive thing about this game are the graphics (Good job art team), but you can clearly notice the extreme bad performance of the PS4 as the game often starts to stutter.

    The last of us part 2 has an improvement in gameplay and difficulty settings and that’s where it all unfortunately abruptly comes to a curtain close. This story is just the root cause of depression, and if you suffer from mental issues please stay away. Various trailers of the game depicted beloved Joel and Ellie being a pivotal part of this game, but that obviously was naughty dog playing on our emotions with a character called Abby lurking in the shadows. Bringing in forceful woke political ideologies such as LGBTQ+, feminism into a game set in a post apocalyptic world just makes absolutely no sense, even if the game is trying to be bold, accepting and forward moving. In a game where surviving and reproducing is the whole point, this simply just doesn’t work, specially in a beloved franchise like this. The game is a tedious, upsetting, draining 26 hour revenge quest fuelled by hate and violence in which the protagonist just lets Abby the antagonist go away freely and unharmed. That’s like batman killing hundreds of people getting to the antagonist and simply letting the person who killed his parents go away unscathed. GET IN THE BIN!
    I personally will never buy a Neil Druckman game again and I honestly hope the fanboys wake up and do the same instead of giving this disrespectful and insulting company your hard earned money. They just aren’t the same anymore. Cyberpunk 2077 for GOTY!

    Story was a flop though and one of the worst game story continuations in history of Gaming. They literally slapped fans of the original with their agenda. But even when not counting the agenda it's a bad story overall.

While that's not exactly a bad thing since the first game had fun gameplay, it shows Naughty Dog's lack of initiative to innovate or try to make things more interesting and fun.

    Scenario-wise, it's a complete joke. I understand some of the appeal they were going for, but the execution was pathetic and fell flat almost the entire time, especially in the second half. There was also pointless pandering with the addition of a completely unneeded sex scene that did not serve to enhance or move the narrative forward in ANY imaginable way. I guess Naughty Dog took a page out of David Cage's book here, and it really shows... badly.    … Expand

    Absolutely ruins all the best things from the first game, all in the name of pandering. The story isn't fun to play and the entire thing feels like a slog towards sadness. I'm sad to see this franchise ruined in the name of social justice without any thought paid to what made the first game so engrossing.

    I get that you wanted to try something new, but this? - there is no honor in this!

    Why not have Ellie arrive at a research facility because she wanted to find a cure and became mad at Joel because he told her the truth. Then something goes wrong at the facility and a lot of the infected overruns the facility so Ellie, Joel and Abby needs to escape together. Joel cannot escape because he had gotten bit previous due to a situation with the infected where Tommy lost his life, but Joel had to see Ellie one last time because she is his “daughter”. Joel then says goodbye to Ellie and the two of them have a father-daughter moment before Abby is leading Ellie to a secret door. Joel realizing what he did to Abby and gives her an apology for what it is worth. He did it to protect Ellie because he sees her as his daughter, Abby can relate to this and forgives him for his sins. Joel then closes the door shut behind them and he barricades himself to the door with a chain and the infected attacks and kills Joel while he provides Ellie and Abby some time to get to safety. Running down the corridor Ellie hears Joel’s screams of pain While tears are running down her cheeks. Ellie and Abby must now try to work together to find another facility and try to safe what is left of the human race before it gets too late. Doing the story this way you avoid **** ALL OVER A FATHER FIGURE AND A BELOVED FRANCHISE! WHICH I AM SORRY TO SAY BUT YOU GUYS AT NAUGHTY DOG JUST PUT THE LAST NAIL IN THE COFFIN!     Story is just horrendous. They try to make this game feel extremely serious and realistic but because of the laughable decisions taken by characters, the game feels more like a bad comedy. I laughed a lot from the halfway point because of how unbelievable the decisions made were. Anyways I won't waste my time writing this any longer. It's bad and the the extremely high budget production doesn't change that.
