    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The signature writing that made The Last of Us well known is no where to be found. Choosing to deconstruct the story of the original for the sake of shock value, you can tell what Naughty Dog was aiming for, but missed by a mile. As the characters from the first game make one uncharacteristic decision after another (that usually ends in their demise) the game rushes in a slew of new characters that the story gives the player no motivation to care about. The pacing feels so bad that it often comes off as comedically derivative. Even the final scene of the game, which is intended to be dramatic, plays off as an episode ending puncline from Curb Your Enthusiasm (I half expected the theme to play as it cut to credits.) The gameplay is slightly improved from the first, but if you didn't love it in the original, you're going to spend the last 10 hours of the game begging for it to end.
    The only positive things I really have to say is that the environments and level designs are very pretty and flow well overall.    … Expand

Spoiler, Joel es asesinado por Abby a menos de 10 minutos de iniciar el título y de ahi hasta la mitad del juego encarnas a Ellie, tratando de vengar a Joel buscando a Abby por Seattle, upgradeando tus armas, y entonces BOOM! Te quitan la campaña Ellie en el "mejor" momento y tienes que concluir el juego con Abby, mandando al carajo tu progreso como Ellie, y tu recompensa? moler a golpes a Ellie jugando como Abby y PUAGH!     It's literally just propaganda, brave new world crap. The game itself is about as average as the first, but the story is straight up propaganda. Very creepy game. Watch a lets play to see what kind of art you'll be getting in the next 20 years from this social justice book burning culture, or lack there of. Truly this is a work of psychopathy and the authoritarian mindset of radical leftists.

    Este juego ha caído en la enfermedad de adaptarse al NWO y romper por completo la historia del primer juego, la cual fue brillante. No entiendo como desde Naughty Dog han permitido todo esto.     Just finished this game and I can't think of single enjoyable moment in not only the story but also the incredibly tedious gameplay loop. The visuals and voice acting are the only positives I took from this game. Anyone that tells you Abby is the worst part of this hasn't seen the rest of the game.     Leaving aside the technical section, the story is too forced, all in order to make the characters more complex, which in reality only makes them look superficial and artificial, much of the realism that was the best of the first game has been lost.

    The story is so terrible that ruins the entire game play.
    Meaningless death is not something that touch reader's heart. It just makes the story foolish.
    Characters don't have depth. The story use characters like tools.
    And "political correct" is so stupid.

    Last of us part 2 played with second generation controls at best .. clunky controls , dumb ai stealth is practically useless, you can practically beat the whole game with a beer bottle .. you literally Attack with one may be two buttons in the whole game .... it’s 2020 and the whole entire game your mashing one may be two buttons!!! This is not the ps1/ps2 era ...     Too Violent. Poor pacing, terrible story. Gameplay needs smoothing out. Been waiting so long for this game, can't believe how bad the final product is. I think things just went bad in the pre-production stage. The first game was violent but this pushes it beyond my acceptable taste threshold. The characters are just not as likeable and their motivations not as strong or compelling as the original.

    I am really disappointed on this game, the plot is so bad and didn't make sense at all. What happened to Naughty Dog? You all need to play this game time to time and play through before the game released, I doubt the staff of the Naughty Boy do the right thing to provide spoiler in advance is the right thing to do.

This game is a slap in the face to the fans who loved the first game, almost 2 hours in Joel is killed by a new character named Abby and then later I have to freaking play as her after what she did? Then they try to make you feel sorry for her? Nah Forget that it’s complete bull. Then that sex scene with Abby and that guy.. (forgot his name because that’s how forgettable he is) was just disturbing and uncomfortable to watch and what made it worse was that the guy was mocapped to look like the director of the game, so he basically put that scene in so he can get some pleasure, that’s some sick and disgusting stuff. Then the ending oh the ending, to sum it up Ellie is about to kill Abby which in order to get to that point she had to kill at least hundreds of people and when she finally has the chance she says that killing Abby won’t do anything? Then what the heck was the point of Ellie killing all those people just to not Kill Abby, it’s horrible writing and an excuse to make a 3rd game which will probably be worse than this garbage. Please if you liked the first game just pretend that that was the ending and this game is just horrible fan fiction, because the story for the 2nd game is nowhere near close to the Same level as the 1st game, heck even fans could’ve wrote something better than this garbage. Just please save your money and don’t listen to the “critic” reviews because its clear to see that those reviews were paid for So they could fool people into buying the game. До последнего не хотел верить в такие оценки, не хотел оценивать игру пока не прошёл до конца лично, и вот спустя 40 часов геймплея на хардкоре, я это сделал. Сюжет высосан из пальца чуть более чем полностью. Основная завязка игры построена на непонятной ненависти и жестокости. Вся игра это какая то какая то бессмысленная месть. Абсолютно нелепое действие дать контроль за антагониста на половину игры и заставить ИЗБИВАТЬ ПРОТОГАНИСТА В КОНЦЕ. Всю игру все всех ненавидят. Ни один персонаж не вызвал каких-то чувств, кроме непонимания, зачем они все это делают. Первая часть привязала к персонажам минут за 5. И это все, это главная составляющая игры. Сам игровой процесс в первой части не блистал, а просто дополнял историю, позволяя глубже проникнуться. Здесь та же самая ситуация (только истории как таковой нет), сумбурная смесь RE, MGS и TR. Ничего необычного, местами скучно, местами интересно.
    В итоге мы получаем посредственную бродилку, с графикой вида «не подходите близко» и с бесполезным сюжетом. И возможно эта игра заслуживает 7 баллов и звание «уверенного среднечка» игромании, но, НО ЭТО THE LAST OF US. И называйся эта игра как угодно, но не TLOA это было бы так. Но это не какая то игра, это сильнейший провал франшизы, что я видел.

The fact I had to play half the game as someone I spent the first half hunting down and then in the final battle you make me play as the bad guy trying to kill the person I spent two games knowing was stupid.     Rather than make this an epic farewell to our beloved character, they killed Joel like sh*t.
    Joel deserve better. It's not about his dead but about how he died.

    The story would be much much more better if Joel got separated from Tommy and somehow in life and dead situation and then saved by Abby, a long the way then Abby learn their names and invite both of them to her hideout.
    Joel of course would be refuse at first, but because she saved his life and too far away going back home he'll eventually agree.

    And the golf club, if that's Joel we know from the first game he will fight till the end. He will grab the club from the first swing, smash Abby's leg and before he can smash Abby's head, Manny shot him. And then Manny gave Abby the gun, Ellie comes in and saw Abby shot Joel to dead.

    That's would be more sense, and epic farewell to Joel.
    The end if Ellie finally let Abby live, we can understand and accept it.
    But after Abby brutally and tortured her figure father to dead and pursue her and in the end let her free, WTF is that!

    The story not only sets some sort of weird agenda but is written as if the twilight author was drunk and had taken way too many drugs.

    great game for 30 minutes.

    Red flag number one.

    A great example, being Bill in the original. The average player would not have picked up on the fact that he was gay, It was very subtle and well written. Now, it was subtle because his sexuality was not neccecery to the scene, and in most cases isnt a detail that needs to be divulged. It's a very private and personal matter. Which is why it was executed perfectly. By a magazine.

    Being gay should not and is not a "personality trait" and should not be overtly shoved in the consumers face.

    Why? Because we dont care!

    Now TLOU2 has many cases of "Token" characters. Characters who's personalities are characterised by their Race, Sexuality or Gender and they ARE forced into the plot.

    TLOU2 has characters who are Trans, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, etc.

    But not because they contribute to the pre established plot. The foundations set from the plot of the previous entry was completely cast aside to allow for the NEW CAST of LGBTQ token characters.

    Now no reasonable person has any issue with characters being gay, or trans, or other. It is when they are thrown into the plot for the sake of fulfilling a diversity quota.

    Straight white males Joel and Tommy are executed to make way for the new order.

Truly pathetic.. first y'all go on with your false advertising.. inserting Joel into scenes wich don't exist or he's model is just swapped out for Jesse's with the same exact **** line... You knew people weren't gonna buy this dog**** if you told them Joel dies at the getgo by playing a bit of golf with that mother****** Abby.
    Yes Joel needed to die for the story to work but he didn't need to die like this.. you guys literally dumbed him down just to serve the plot.. the Joel I knew and loved would never have trusted Abby enough to go back to her mansion and neither Tommy nor Joel would've uttered their names like "hi my name's **** Joel I killed the fireflies we live in a city downhill oh some big guns y'all got there you have ammo?here take mine and shoot me in the goddamn leg".
    And it wasn't just Joel.. Ellie is extremely unlikeable.. alongside with Dina and Jesse.. on Abby's side is the same **** unlikeable characters and even tho I felt ok with Owen's character the pacing and the timing of them flashbacks were so dog**** that by the time we got to them I couldn't care less and was already over the fact that they died and just wanted to get back to Ellie or just **** finish the game..
    Ellie's and Dina's relationship feels as forced as homework felt in the 3rd or 4th grade.. not because they're both females.. swap Dina out for a male character and it still would've been utter garbage...
    I ain't even gonna talk abou the ending cuz that **** made me wanna wash my eyes with **** Griffin acid from the Witcher because that game was actually amazing.. but rn as the metascore stands this **** is better than TW3...
    This game proves that good graphic doesn't make a good game.. I also like how youtubers had to mute certain sections because of copyright.. like you know people are gonna make content so why make the half of it **** copyrighted...
    The only two characters that were decently written were Yara and Lev and none of them **** matter at the end..
    0/10 for this hot **** garbage game.. would've given it a 1/10 if Abby would've **** died or Ellie atleast.. they cant both live we want closure ... The game play comes second. So the story is what makes or breaks a game like this. We all fell in love with the story and the characters in the first game, but in The Last Of Us Part 2 you hate the story and the treatment Joel and Ellie gets. Both their characters gets destroyed. Joel and Ellie are totally out of character in this game and doing things that contradicts everything we've learned about them in the first game. The new main character is totally unlikeable and a complete failure.

    The music is good, the graphics are good, the voice acting is good, but it all comes down to the story and that fact is that the story is a complete failure. Naughty Dog has a done a game for themselves and the woke crowd on Twitter. The game is not for the fans of the first game. They took all the things fans loved in the first game and destroyed them and replaced them with a progressive agenda.

    My interest for this game died about 2 hours into the game when there is a key event in the game that will upset the fans. Prepare to get your expectations subverted. After that I was not engaged in the story at all, I didn't care what happened and the attempt to get you more involved in the story backfired totally. For the rest of the game you really are just hunting down people to get revenge and in the end that is also a failure because the ending is not at all what you want as a fan. The developers totally missed the mark on that too.

    DON'T BUY IT! CHECK TWITCH OR YOU TUBE INSTEAD!

    To co zrobili z Joelem, a i jak poprowadzona została po tym fabuła przekracza ludzkie pojęcie. Chyba pozazdrościli twórcom "gry o tron". Pokazali, że da się zepsuć coś epickiego bardziej jak zrobili to nawet twórcy GoT w 8 sezonie.

    2) Fans that still care of what is given them and don't accept all the crap down their throat. I'm part of the second group and this game is pure garbage, yes technically astounding the PS4 is pushed at its limits, but the rest? I never wanted to play Abbys story, and i dont care that shes trans. She isnt the protagonist, shes the antagonist. The control scheme was ROUGH! and in a survival game thats a cheap way to die. One credit i willI hated it! Its sad because i loved the first game. I didnt even finish. Fourteen hours in and i was done and handing my copy over to a friend with appropriate warnings. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
