    This game is flat out a masterpiece. It's is an incredible journey that doesn't follow the typical story arch. The gameplay is satisfying, the graphics are top notch for a PS4, and new game modes make this very re-playable. This is one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played.

Lo jugué con la idea de lo malo que es en "historia" según los comentarios de las personas, pero al jugarlo sentí varias emociónes primero venganza, tristeza, odio y arrepentimiento, al ver por todo lo que paso ABBY con LEB fue algo similar a lo que hizo JOEL con ELLIE salvarlo y que esa persona saque lo más humano de uno porque ya lo había perdido todo, si jugaron al primer juego sabrán de lo que habló. El final sentí empatía con los personajes y no quería que muriera ABBY ni ELLIE quería que pararán de pelear (ya ambos personajes perdieron muchos Seres queridos) y lo que hizo ELLIE fue crecer como persona y mirar hacia delante dejando de lado la venganza gracias a la última vez que habló con JOEL ese recuerdo fue el detonante para parar de una vez todo. Mí humilde opinión es goty del año y gameplay sin palabras… Expand

    Love the "every coin has 2 sides" reference of playing for both ellie and abby and honestly, you can tell both of them were evil and heroic at the same time, depends on point of view. Love how both story lines of the girls fit to each other. And I have to say, that even TLoU part 1, didnt make me feel that emotionally touched. Great F-ing work Naugtydog.     Like almost everyone else, I’m a huge fan of the first game. I’m also a huge fan of Part 2 and I hope there somehow ends up being a Part 3. TLOU2 is incredible on all counts. It’s fun to play; it’s intense, dark, brutal and beautiful. The graphics and gameplay are evermore improved on the first game. The music is intense and I’ve found myself listening to the soundtrack on repeat whichLike almost everyone else, I’m a huge fan of the first game.     This game is a masterpiece, nice graphic, story and characther. Even though the ending of the scene is not very satisfying, the gameplay is very satisfying and interesting, telling the meaning of revenge and regret that never ends. And as a result of that we lose the people we love.

    I can't believe all the toxic gamers that posted horrible reviews for this game...you can tell the majority of these toxic reviews came out on the day the game was released, these morons obviously didn't have any intention of actually playing through the game nor would they have the emotional maturity to handle a complex story like this one. When I finished the game it took me over a week to get over it and process everything...when a game makes you cry, you know they did something right. Kudos to Naughty Dog for creating one of the greatest games ever and they should ignore the hate coming from a bunch of morons that have the emotional/intellectual maturity of a 6 year old. After playing Ghosts of Tsushima I thought it would be hard for any game to effect me so emotionally but TLOU 2 out did even GOT so again, kudos to the developers for creating a generational game that rivals the Witcher 3.     I finished the game 3 days ago, and I can't stop thinking about it. I don't think I ever feel this way about a game. This game touch on subject that even 13 Reasons Why failed to delivered. It's a very risky move, because I don't think many players would get it. It's not just simply about breaking the cycle of violence, it's a bout how people deal with personal trauma and healing.

El juego como casi todos lo odie antes de que saliera, las filtraciones, la muerte de joel, ese supuesto final en el que Ellie y dina supuestamente morían lo odie con toda mí alma. Luego de que saliera vi un par de gameplays y no me convencía y también lo odiaba un poco. Pero como me dijo un amigo mío "no puedes juzgar un juego sin haberlo jugado, no importa cuántos gameplays, directos, videos veas, no se compara con jugarlo y vivirlo tu mismo" a la dos o tres semanas que pasó el juego me lo compre y me lo pasé y la verdad es que mí amigo tenía razón. El juego me encantó se nota que Neil Druckmann quiso hacer algo diferente pero al mismo tiempo no perder la esencia del primero. Los espacios abiertos de combates, los gráficos, la jugabilidad de las mejores en mí opinión, la música, del gran Gustavo Santaolalla y especialmente la historia tan criticada a mí me encantó. Aunque parezca una simple historia de venganza Neil Druckmann la logra hacer de una manera tan clara, con suspenso, perdidas y tragedias que me parece una maravilla. Y aunque me odien por lo que voy a decir lo diré: logré empatizar con Abby y me parece un personaje igual o mejor que Ellie. Porque? Abby solo tenía un unico objetivo, matar a Joel, dejo vivir a Ellie y a Tommy, ella se dio cuenta que perdió todo y que matar a Joel no le va a devolver a si padre. Luego de que Ellie mata a todos sus amigos ella la deja vivir nuevamente. También ayuda a Yara y Lev, integrantes de una faccion que habían matado a varios de sus amigos lobos y aún así los ayudo y los rescató más de una vez e hizo cosas como matar a sus propios aliados o sacrificar su vida, superar sus miedos a las alturas, engañar a su faccion y luchar con un infectado horripilante solo con tal de conseguir medicamentos para la operación de Yara. El final me pareció de lo mejor les juro que al ver a Ellie caminar hacia la nada dejando la guitarra de Joel en esa casa abandonada y empezar a escuchar esa hermosa melodía (beyond desolation para el que la quiera buscar) me sentí vacío. El juego me encantó no merece ser criticado tanto como se lo ha hecho se nota que le pusieron empeño y trabajo. Es una obra maestra en mí opinión. Lo juego y lo seguiría jugando porque me encantó. Con lo que voy a decir a continuación mi propósito no es ofender pero lo diré (aunque se que alguno se va a ofender). La mayoría de las personas que critican con los mismos argumentos (murió Joel, Ellie perdona a Abby, es políticamente correcto, etc) el juego obviamente solo lo han visto mediante gameplays y no han tenido la oportunidad de jugarlo, pero si alguna vez la tienen juéguenlo porque es un juegazo muy recomendado. Bueno esa es mi opinión algunos que lo jugaron y no le gusto los entiendo.… Expand

    All I can say is that a beautiful game that worth every penny, I can't agree with all the reviewers on this page about the storyline, because I can't see any other path for ellie and Joel story, I thibk this is the perfect closure and there is not need to bring back another game.

    I love that the negative reviews are based entirely on the direction of the narrative and not at all about the quality of the game itself. This game is incredible. The story is heartbreaking, infuriating (which you children have clearly emphasized), and redeeming all in one package. I didn't encounter a single bug or issue with performance, the environments were absolutely stunning, and even the most mundane areas had character. I don't think I saw a single repeated environment after nearly 30 hours of gameplay. The only minor thing I can say is that the AI could be a little dense but that's absolutely nothing new. Also killing dogs suuuuuucks.

Я согласен что вторая часть фундаментально отличается от изумительной первой части, и это правильно, так как продаватьНа мой взгляд, оценка игры не должна держатся на людях, которые только посмотрев трейлер или обзор или даже поиграв первые 5 часов, сразу бегут минусы игре ставить, так как, это произведение, которое нужно пройти до конца, сесть, подумать и осознать маштабы происходящего. Я согласен что вторая часть фундаментально отличается от изумительной первой части, и это правильно, так как продавать ту же самую историю, но с улучшенной визуальной составляющей и улучшенным геймплеем, было бы как минимум не правильно, учитывая что игру ждали 7 лет. Игра лично для меня 8 из 10, так как мне тоже не понравилось что и как сделали с протагонистом первой части и мне тоже было больно смотреть на это, так как история Last of Us всегда была очень личной и играла на всех струнах, но я понимаю, что это правильное развитие, которое показывает, что история не стоит на месте, и что игра не шутки шутить пришла, а показать взрослую историю о той же маленькой девочке, которая нам всем полюбилась еще в первой части, и которая уже выросла, и именно по этому я поставлю 10, что бы общий юзер скор был достоен этой, изумительной по своему, игре!… Expand

    It is empowering for women, trans and gets close to problems people would have in that kind of postapocalyptic world.

    Si bien al principio genera tristeza por la gran perdida (Ya sabemos de quien) es increíble como te pone a pensar! Yo odie a Abby y al final no quería la muerte de ninguna de las dos. La lucha era sin sentido!
    Es el primer juego que logra hacer algo asi. Realmente una obra maestra.

Complimenti naughty dog per il coraggio di raccontare una storia così potente, senza fare fan Service come volevano tutti. Chiudo dicendo che dopo averlo finito ed anche platinato pur giocando ad altro ti rimane in testa come nessun altro gioco abbia maiFantastico!!! Un capolavoro. Либо ты делаешь то, что хавают все, либо делаешь шедевр, который сначала польют говном капризные дети, а потом уже оценят адекватные открытые игроки.Игра потрясающая!     Взял диск в день релиза, прошел за 25 часов... сейчас уже 3е прохождение начал)
    Сюжетом остался доволен, графика, физика на высоте.

Everyone played till Joel died and then left a bad review cause their feelings got hurt. What people don't understand is that Joel is not the good guy in last of us. He is a bad person who made bad decisions. Everyone says this game is a revenge plot but its not. Yes, it may have started like that but in no way does it end like one. It ends as a forgiveness story. The story of this game is fantastic and in no way is it bad because Joel dies. I loved Joel as much as the next person but people are acting like he did nothing wrong. Joel's death was coming for him and he knew that. The gameplay of this game is also incredible. the gunplay feels so good and the way this game does scavenging and crafting is great. By no means is this game perfect and there are some parts of this game that drag on but overall this game is a 10/10 and people need to stop hating on it because their favorite character dies.… Expand

    As a gamer it's a very unique experience to play a game like the Last of Us Part 2. I needed to take a step back having finished the game about 3 weeks ago and think about the characters and what I experienced. Looking back I think it's very carefully written, this is not a a simple game with obvious character cliche's and you are not told what to think, the cues are subtle and It'sAs a gamer it's a very unique experience to play a game like the Last of Us Part 2. The fluidity and immersion established byA masterpiece in gameplay, world-building, graphical fidelity, music, and overall tone. The story has some flaws and pacing issues after the midway point, but it was still undeniably an exhilarating experience throughout. The first half of the game is by far my favourite and I absolutely adore the atmosphere crafted in the first couple of levels. The fluidity and immersion established by the polished and refined animations, visuals and gameplay of Part II alone already enable it to triumph Part I in my books.

Ellie's journey is one of the most heart wrenching and immersive experience you can play on the current gen of console. The addition of characters are well thought of that it really gives you a lot of perspectives in life. The game makes you recognize if you are the villain in the story. I also felt that if you didn't understand what or why these things happened in part 2 then you don't know anything about Last of Us at all.… Expand

    Naughty dog proved they are not afraid to risk and present a more lifelike scenario, where the heroes are allowed to make mistakes and pay for them.. Nothing like you haven't adored in game of thrones.. Pure next gen material!

Abby story is not for people to actually like it, its purpose is to make people UNDERSTAND her, and show people that you only like Joel and Ellie because you have play with them. Abby's part is basically tlou 1 with different characters, and i can really state that if that story would have been show before abby killing joel (like in another game, lets say a: "TLOU survivors" people would say it is amazing) The thing, is that you would never like something if it has a part you really hate, and in this case, that part is Abby. And no, arguing that the her story is bad written is not real, there a real reviewers, real gamers go dedicate to analize the game, and 90% of that people say it is a good story, but the reason some people hate it is because Abby, and it is not intentional, it is something psychological, and thats what this game is about.

    2nd: This games is just GREAT because it is the first game where the main character is the same as the other characters, and has the same probabilities to live. God deam this is AMAZING, it sucks that people think this is a bad aspect. They complaing saying people dies like nothing and super fast, and who the f##k in real life dies like a hero and stays alive 10 Minutes to speak its last words? NO, the world of this game is like that, you can die in a second as in real life, it is not a super hero game in wich your main character even tho he has 657381930 people shooting him an his brain out will survive, this game is REAL, it world is REAL, here, even a common solider can die as a main character, and that is amazing, because it is really awfull when you play a game and even in the most dangerous part you are sure that your main character will survive or die like a hero, now, in this game, you are really scared on dangerous parts, because anyone can die, and that is just a feeling no other game/movie has been able to transmit. And people that complain about joel death Just dont understan they are not playing a super hero game, they are playing a game that has this kind of world, you can die in 1 second, and even if you were important, life must continue, there is no time to stop and cry.

    Altough, there are some parts that can be improved, non game is PERFECT 100%, i think something could be fixed is the reason why abby just leaves elllie alive, that part should have been more explained, because the reason is obvious but it should be more explained.

    I think this is a 9.3- 9.4, or a 93/94 out of 100 as it is on metacritic. This is a game like no other, and i think that with time, people will really recognize this game for what it is    … Expand

Levels are much more expansive, offer many more options than the mostly single corridor type arenas of the first game. Dodge, prone and jump mechanics are small additions, but they are enough to help keep the gameplay fresh. Dogs are a great addition as enemies, they help keep the combat and stealth way more dynamic, forcing you to keep moving and make quick decisions on the spot. Exploration also benefits from the expanded level design, not only there are many more places to explore, it is also very rewarding to do so, as you can find many pieces of lore that give context to the destroyed world of Seattle and the conflict between WLF and the Seraphites. I suggest anyone who doesnt mind a challenge to play this game on Survivor difficulty, lack of resources and the competence of the AI -which any difficulty lower than this doesnt do justice- takes you from Rambo killing machine, to someone who is barely scraping by, gives the player a WAY better experience.

    Story. To give context, I went into this game completely blind, I was not going to spoil a game for myself that I waited 7 years for. Without spoiling things, there are some BOLD decisions made in this game, whether you like the decisions that were made, is up to you. They worked for me, which is why I absolutely loved this games story. It challenges the way you perceive characters by giving you different perspectives. Characters are more humanlike than in any other game. They have great chemistry between them and the dialogue is top notch. Theymake mistakes, they let their emotions get in the way of making the most logical decisions, you will not always agree with them, but it is hard not to empathize with them. Claims of plot holes are mostly false, either due to people not having played the game at all, or not paying attention to in-game dialogue (which is where half the storytelling if not more happens).

    My only criticism would be that the game is a bit too long. Took me exactly 27h:30m to finish this game, and the pacing is not going to be liked by everyone, especially if you are not curious about the other side of the story. Some chapters are unnecessarily long, scraping by heaps of enemies, going through tough levels, only to see that your destination is still so far away is exhausting. Cutting some sections of gameplay would have been very beneficial to the game.

    I encourage anyone who owns a PS4 to go and try this game for themselves, at least when its on sale. Play the first if you havent already and play the second and decide for yourself.    … Expand

    It is sad to see how many people leave bad reviews for this game, it definitely does not deserve them, the story is hard to get through but not because it is bad, but because it is emotional and real. Naughty Dog did not pull punches and it was breathtaking. The gameplay is absolutely polished beyond anything I have played before!

Joel’s death makes sense, it’s justified by your action in the first game let alone what we don’t see before we meet Ellie. Tess explains that they are **** people”. Joel knew that his actions would catch up to him eventually but it is all worth it if he gets more time with his new “daughter”. The things Ellie does in this game aren’t justified because of what Abby did to Joel and Ellie coming to that realization at the end of the game is the best thing that could happen for her. By the end she finally has closure which is what she was the looking for during the whole game. And by leaving the guitar behind I believe this symbolizes Ellie forgiving Joel and moving on. Say what you want about the narrative of this game but the storytelling is next level. The visuals are incredible and so is the sound design. This is the pinnacle of game design. “Don’t ruin this gift” With your petty remarks about where Naughty dog decided to go with the narrative of this masterpiece. I am truly amazed by this game. Love it for what it is not what you expected. Fan service isn’t always a good thing. Naughty Dog took a big step here and I believe it payed off.… Expand

It’s an incredible game in all aspects, I think I am the only one that in the end felt so bad about Abby, she forgives Ellie’s life twice but Ellie wanted her revenge. But when you play as Abby you see her story and explain why she is like Ellie, just wanted revenge and let Ellie live. the only bad thing is when you are Abby fighting against Ellie but it’s the ONLY bad thing about the game and doesn’t affect the 10 that this games reserves… Expand

    I never saw a game that could bring all these kind of emotions in that way. I hope that the next-gen games could bring more of that.

    What I suggest is, play this game with open expectations, fell each emotion of the game and avoid following any kind of reviews that you saw because
    you can only have your own conclusions when you are playing the game for your own. Or even better, look for reviews after you finish the game, then you will see different perspectives and compare for what you felt.

    These kinds of things that make The Last of Us Part 2 a masterpiece and a revolutionary game for the industry.

    I don’t fully understand why people didn’t like this game. The whole point of the game is to challenge the player to forgive and understand your enemies pain. I loved this game. Though it had its rough patches it didn’t tarnish the overall experience. Excellent gameplay, excellent writing and a very ambitious narrative structure. These are things I love to see

    Playing as Abby was extremely frustrating at first, but by the end I realized I actually cared about her character. This is a testament to the great story and character development in this game. I wanted Abby to die a horrible death at the beginning and by the end I found it difficult to fight her. That's how much my feelings had changed, which is rather amazing. This video game actually gave me a new perspective on not always painting the opposing side as the villain or "evil". This can be applied to relationships with people all the way to politics. There are things with the story that were tough to handle, but there were also great things done as well. I'm so glad I didn't listen to all these user reviews and actually played the game. There is a reason why the critic reviews for this game are so high and I agree with them. I give it 10's across the board for story, gameplay, graphics.     Maybe not a 10/10 but I seriously need to counter balance the ignorantly unfair 0/10 reviews the game got. This game doesn't deserve a vote below 7/10. It's objectively enjoyable and technically good. Storyline and so-called "politics" are another matter. Trust the critics on this one, not the childish fans.

    I was imaging the story to be a different one in this 7 years of waiting but in the end, it was a big surprise at first I hated some of the parts of the game but at my second game through I started to like what Naughty Dog has done with the game and I don't remember a game to make so emotional and i don't care what haters say if there is plot armors or plot holes because every game, movieI was imaging the story to be a different one in this 7 years of waiting but in the end, it was a big surprise at first I hated some of the parts of the game but at my second game through I started to like what Naughty Dog has done with the game and I don't remember a game to make so emotional and i don't care what haters say if there is plot armors or plot holes because every game, movie and TV shows have that you can't rate a game 1/10 because you don't like the damn story but for me, this is 10/10 of a game a must-play.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
