    To try and put my feelings to words regarding The Last of Us Part II is no easy task. This story is a hard pill to swallow as it is one that comes bearing down on you and your left trying to pick up the pieces of your soul. I'm blown away at what Naughty Dog has done here. There were moments where you were forced to do things you didn't want to do. Then there were some of the bestTo try and put my feelings to words regarding The Last of Us Part II is no easy task. This story is a hard pill to swallow as it is one that comes bearing down on you and your left trying to pick up the pieces of your soul. I'm blown away at what Naughty Dog has done here. There were moments where you were forced to do things you didn't want to do. Then there were some of the best performed moments that take your breath away. I can not argue with all the (industry) critics rating this game a 5/5 or 10/10.

    To the people who jumped on the bandwagon bad mouthing this game since the leaks came out: Put aside all your biased opinions and play this game with an open mind.    … Expand

    Really quick I just want to say don’t play this game if you’re homophobic Ellie is I’m a relationship with a female but it’s not stated what her sexuality is. I’ve play for about 6-7 hours and I have a few complaints 1. Listen mode, it sucks it’s not as easy to see people as it was in The Last of Us part 1 but it’s useful, 2. When you arrive in Seattle you use a map which at first is a little annoying but you’ll get used to it (you only use for about an hour or so), 3. The clickers, the can somehow spot you even if you’re not moving and that can be annoying at times. Let’s talk about the things I like, 1. The story, it’s starts off kinda boring but once a major event happens it starts to pick up, 2. The crafting system, while it’s not what I’m used too it still does it’s job, 3. The enemies, instead of your normal clickers, runners, and bloaters there’s also shambles and stalkers the two new zombie types are really fun and it adds a bit more of a challenge. In the game you’re introduced to two new factions the WLF (Washington Liberation Front) and the scars, the WLF is like the military and can be very challenging at times and the scars they’re not bad I just came across them not too long ago but they were easy to kill. If you’re cautious about buying this game I highly recommend it I've played a lot of games with good stories and this one is the second best. It’s a great game and I think you’ll enjoy spending time with the character (Ellie) that you grew to love in The Last of Us part 1.… Expand

    The negative reviews of this game can only be disingenuous. Just because you don't like a story line or the themes explored, cannot warrant you giving the game ridiculously low scores. For me, when a game leaves you with such emotions, such as a great movie does, it must speak volumes to its quality. Only three other games have ever made me feel like this game.     Why people didn't like it and my refute:

    -"Ellie changed too much". Who has the same personality when they were 14 as they did when they were 19, not accounting for trauma and PTSD and what that does to a person (and puberty).
    -"The Death of _____ was done in a poor/un-heroic manner". The truth hurts and so does reality. This game was meant to be a Grimm parallel to if this was reality. Nobody is immune to death and that's what makes it great. The early death in this game prepares you and gives you that underlying feeling that anyone could die at any moment. There are no beloved protagonists in reality and nobody is immune to dying in the most stupid ways possible. If I was in the apocalypse I would probably make it to day 50 before ripping off a hangnail and dying of blood-loss or something ridiculously stupid like that (I know it's not really possible, it's an analogy), and that's reality.
    - The Story sucks. This is the most widespread criticism and one that I can't refute nor confirm. After playing through the game twice, I honestly loved the story. There are flaws as with any game but liking or hating the story is a matter of opinion. I, like most, hated Abby with every fiber of my being- even after playing her for a few hours! It wasn't until the end of Abby's playthrough that I realized I actually started to empathize with her which brings and inner-conflict to the player that I can appreciate.
    - "SJWs agenda/Ellie is gay so the game is bad". Get over yourselves.    … Expand

    This game is hard to get on and understand, but at the end you feel accomplished. Along the journey you get to feel a roller-coaster of emotions that will move you. This game is bold and isn't afraid to break the mold at every chance, however all those decisions pay off.     One of my favorite experiences of this entire generation of games. Takes all of the most interesting elements and decisions of the first and builds on and gives them consequences and weight. Excellent gameplay and set pieces combined with an interesting and harrowing story.

    Definitely a game worth experiencing for yourself!

    I absolutely LOVED this game! I laughed at times, I was shocked at times, I cried at times. I was invested in this game wholeheartedly with the characters, the gameplay, the environment and the story. One of the best experiences i've had playing a game. This game and the first are Masterpieces in my eyes.

    I just hope that Neil Druckmann will define the success of the game not by local estimates, but by sales. And all this nonsense will not affect him, and he will continue to create the games like this one. Best game I've played in years. Neil, just do it.     Perfeito! Nada do que se espera, para um fã dos personagens, mas uma história coerente sobre consequências. Ótima construção de personagens. Jogo tecnicamente perfeito, para mim: gráficos, ambientação, jogabilidade, recursos, sem falar das expressões faciais perfeitas. Para quem gosta de imersão emhistorias bem contadas.

The little details show how thoughtful and passionate Naughty Dog is (each character has their own heartbeat which determines their breathing, stealthiness, and endurance???). The Last Of Us 2 é literalmente uma obra de arte, eu não conseguir receber o jogo na semana do lançamento e sinceramente eu fiquei preocupada com o jogo em questão de história, mas depois de jogar eu percebi que essa chuva de hate nas avaliações do jogo são no mínimo de pessoas que não jogaram ou não conseguiram entender a história. As críticas são na maioria bem rasas e escritas de maneiras bem superficiais, por exemplo a morte de Joel, eu vi muita gente falando que ele morreu de uma forma bem merda em relação a maneira que ele agia no primeiro jogo, a situação que a Naughty Dog criou foi claramente proposital, dois irmãos cercados por uma horda de zumbis salvam uma estranha e aceitam ir com ela a um local seguro ao invés de morrer em questão de minutos, único erro foi ele ter citado o próprio nome, o jeito que ele morreu foi feito daquele maneira pra te deixar com raiva, o jogo dá metade do seu tempo pra você entender que só porque você jogou um tempo com o Joel em a Ellie não quer dizer que a escolha que ELES fizeram é necessariamente a correta, não existe herói nem vilão, a Ellie não fez todo aquele caminho a toa. O jogo inteiro mostra de diversas maneiras e simbologias diferentes que matar a Abby não vai levar a nada, tanto quanto a morte do Joel não diminuiu a dor que a Abby sentia pela morte do pai e continuou tendo os mesmos pesadelos, e se você parar pelo menos por um segundo pra pensar o trauma da Abby querendo ou não deveria ter sido bem maior do que o da Ellie, alias além de ter perdido o próprio o pai, o Joel tirou dela a sua família e a Ellie seus amigos, e depois de tudo isso a Abby ainda conseguir ter a virtude do perdão, eu não disse que o Joel é o vilão da história, mas no ponto de vista da Abby é a conclusão mais razoável que uma pessoa pode tomar, todo mundo que jogou o primeiro jogo consegue entender os motivos do Joel e jogando essas horas com a Abby se você não for uma pessoal totalmente egocêntrica você consegue entender o lado da Abby

    Red Dead Redemption 2 e TLOU 2 conseguem juntos alcançar o título de os jogos com os melhores gráficos do século.

    Conseguiram resgatar alguns aspectos do primeiro jogo e adicionar novos, como o silenciador e algumas novas armas, já em relação ao combate é bem mais difícil que o primeiro jogo, bem mais aberto e flexível, as dificuldades condizem com as escolhidas.
    trilha sonora 10/10
    De verdade se eu tivesse dinheiro eu faria uma estátua do Santaolalla e o Mac Quayle deixaria na meu quarto, meu amigo que trilha sonora perfeita, combina muito bem com os ambientes escolhidos e é bem agradável.

    This has been by far my favorite game of all time! The story was so compelling and the way the writers lead you to switch your opinions of the characters, especially Abby was amazing!     Probably one of favorite games of the year. For the first time in my life, a video game ACTUALLY made me cry... The ending really hit home for me. I honestly don't understand the controversy, this game is a God damn masterpiece.

    Great game. Yes, someone may not agree with the story route but it's still a great game that makes you overthink this. As for gameplay, I extremely like it as I liked gameplay from the first TLoU. They just make it better and added new features.

Più difficile di qualunque altro gioco perché questo The last of us parte II riesce a regalarti emozioni che prima d'ora non avevo mai provato giocando ad un videogioco. Ma devo provarci, provare ad essere oggettivo conservando comunque un po' di soggettività. Solo l'aspetto tecnico lascia a bocca aperta e sembrerebbe essere il migliore della generazione (e fa ridere il fatto che sia su Ps4). I paesaggi sono incredibili e le animazioni rivoluzionarie. Per non parlare poi delle musiche (Gustavo ci sa fare). Per quanto riguarda il gameplay sono riusciti a mantenere la base del primo evolvendola esponenzialmente. In questo gioco ci sono infatti molte più possibilità di approccio al nemico, anche solo la parte stealth dall'essere semplicemente il soffocare gente del primo capitolo si é evoluta aggiungendo molte più possibilità tra cui tutte le armi silenziate e l'erba alta e bassa (che comunque trattandosi di un gioco realistico non copre integralmente). Inoltre le mappe sono molto più grandi e rifinite. Muoversi con Ellie é molto più divertente (per via del salto e altre possibilità di interazioni ambientali) e l'intelligenza artificiale é talmente ben fatta da far sentire l'odore di next gen. Parliamo infine della storia facendo spoiler. La trama di questo gioco é esattamente come il primo... semplicissima. E allora perché entrambi i titoli ci fanno emozionare così tanto? Per la narrazione e i personaggi. Da una semplice storia di vendetta infatti Naughty dog é riuscita a tirar fuori una storia profonda e matura come poche altre prima d'ora. Il gioco é infatti pieno zeppo di scene che ti fanno rabbrividire. Prima fra tutte la morte di Joel, la scena per cui molti utenti hanno distrutto il gioco. Perché é stato così? Forse semplicemente per la morte di Joel? Anche, ma non solo. Il motivo é sopratutto il modo in cui é avvenuta, attraverso una vera e propria tortura. Tutti appena l'abbiamo vista volevamo uccidere Abby, la genialità di Naughty Dog é stata proprio farci diventare Abby, all'inizio nessuno voleva, nessuno voleva essere l'assassino di Joel, eppure, dopo alcune ore ti appassioni profondamente alla sua storia e ai suoi amici ed inizi a dubitare delle azioni di Ellie. E poi pensateci... davvero preferivate la morte di Dina (come tutti ipotizzavamo dai trailer)? Non avrebbe avuto molto senso, far morire un personaggio che neanche conoscevamo e far girare tutto intorno a quello. Non sarebbe stata una motivazione altrettanto forte per farci andare avanti.
    Una delle cose che più ho apprezzato del gioco sono i flashback di Joel, queste scene, così spenzierate, sono la chiave del gioco, sopratutto quella finale, che trasforma tutto il gioco in una storia sul perdono e non sulla vendetta. Il finale per me é perfetto, nient'altro da aggiungere. Insomma, per riassumere tutta la recensione in poche parole: "le persone non erano pronte" 10/10.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolutely loved it! The game is visually stunning, runs smooth (even on my original PS4 from 2014) and has an engaging story. The mechanics are similar to the first game but have been expanded upon for greater variety in the gameplay, the map and levels are well designed with plenty of hidden away areas improving replayability, and the combat is absolutely fantastic! Storywise I have no complaints either, although I can understand why some people don't enjoy it as much as I do.

    Because while the first TLOU was by no means a feel-good game, part 2 left me emotionally destroyed. I brutally murder someone while playing as Ellie only to find them likeable while playing as Abby, I have to overcome my initial hatred for Abby when faced with the prospect that Joel, from Abby's POV had it coming, and I have to watch Ellie and Abby, two characters I've become attached to, beat each other senseless. Twice. And on top of that, I have to watch Ellie abandon her family for the sake of revenge, only to realise that she's still no closer to finding peace for herself in the vacuum left by Joel's death. Because while the game definately delivers the message of "revenge bad", it's by far the only message of the game. The Last Of Us Part 2 is a beautifully told story of redemption, vengeance and love setting us up for a Part 3 that I hope will be as enjoyable for everyone else as Part 2 was to me.

    I give it a 10 because apparently i am not cry baby ... I have watched thousands of movies and in my experience when the story is stretch to maximum without any serious matter that changes the value and break from the block scheme that every part follows.

    Fantastic game. Story, game-play, tension during fights, graphics, characters etc. I love it and does not deserve all that hate. I am huge PlayStation fan but I am not positive with a game if it is bad, would be hypocrisy of me. So I recommended!
    PS: I liked that they come up with something different, something that nobody would expect. I like this in every franchise.

    I think people were so caught up in "Revenge" that they missed all of these details.
    Plus i want to mention ellie isn't doing it purely for revenge but as a way to relive her PTSD. Ellie even mentions to Dina how she can't sleep or eat and she even had a panic attack on the farm. Every time she thinks of Joel, it's always his bloody beat up face. However, when she was drowning Abby, she finally saw a good image of him and was finally able to release all her grief. She had got what she came for and that was relief.    … Expand

    This is a good game, Yes, it may disappoint you, but try to get into this story, imagine yourself in Ellie's place, what would you do? The game I put 10/10, as it deserves it, if I could put a higher rating I would do it. The game is at least 12/10!

    Finaly the theatre scene , Abby is here , YES I WILL KILL HER. And they make you play her, I insulted naughty dogs and Neil Druckman " F*** you for making me play her, ooh i'm petting a dog you think i cant see you playing with my feelings , trying to make me feel sorry for her"

    You do see it coming, and yet it works you realize there's no hero or vilain , there's just survivors. The worst moment was when you have to kill Ellie as Abby , I did pause and put the controller down for a moment .

    They are genuises , they knew this game was gonna be controvertial but they released it this way anyway. Weither you appreciate the story or not , the graphics are stunning, the details are amazing, you are literally playing in a movie, they enhanced the gameplay which is similar to the 1 but better , and if you are a little open minded , this game is gonna make you feel feelings you ve never felt before while playing a game.

    Only downside in my opinion is the over-inclusion of LGBT characters, like i don't really care, but it just felt forced and out of place, like they did it to avoid being criticized by minorities , but it's whatever    … Expand

Get immersed in the game, great characters and intense, varied shoot outs and stealth. Rewarded for exploration. Haven’t enjoyed a video game as much as this for over a decade. Would have paid twice as much if I had to. 11/10

Some levels simply have to many enemy encounters without taking the time to take a breather. On the other side, graphics, audio-design, dialogue between the characters and the intertwining storytelling are the best I've ever seen in a video game. Even the gameplay improved in every way imaginable, Compare it to the first one, it's not even close how good this feels to play.     The Last of Us Part II is a technical behemoth. Intense gameplay and even better narrative were shrouded by the leaks and heavily biased reviewers that enabled a domino effect on the people. For fu*** sake buy this game, it is the PS4’s beautiful swan song.

    This game took a big risk and it paid off. The story is engaging and you feel so much for each character. There is so much detail in the storyline even the collectibles has its own mini story. Remember this is an apocalyptic world so expect a very dark storyline. This is by far the best game on PS4! This game is worth every penny. Game clocks in about 37hrs doing all collectibles.

    My only true issue with this game lies with its pacing, but upon playing it a second time it didn’t bother me at all because I wasn’t so anxious for the resolution. It truly has you on the edge of your seat the whole time, just dying to know what is going to happen next.

    To me, this game is scarier than its predecessor. It has more jump scares and has a darker energy overall. The graphics are unparalleled, and the level of detail that Naughty Dog put into this environment is incredible. So many small mechanics that no other video game has done before have been perfected in this game, it is shocking to me that it was on the PS4 and not the PS5 (and I do not have the pro, just the original launch version.) The acting, much like the first, is what really makes this game. All of the characters seem real and with their own strengths and weaknesses. Even the NPCs seem like real people and it makes Ellie’s journey even grittier. I could truly go on about this game forever. If you were a fan of the first game, you simply must play this one. There are dozens and dozens of easter eggs and innuendoes that reference the first installment. It pays homage to the first and then takes that story even further. 10/10.    … Expand

I have just finished the the last of us part 2 and after playing 25+ hours finding all the stories and notes and everything there is in the game I have come to the conclusion that this is the best game that has ever been made both in gameplay and in story this game made me cry more times than I can count and honestly showed how dark and gloomy this world is and where the main focus is surviving at all costs. I wish that Joel didn’t die but I see why this had to happen because Ellie’s story would have been completely different if it was tommy or anyone else Ellie loved Joel and you could see that all the way through but like teenagers do they don’t like to show emotions to look weak and that honestly is a unbelievable detail but Ellie wasn’t going to stop no matter what to avenge Joel but she realised at the end that she went too far killing all those people for one person. I think that the ending was perfect because by the end of the story I didn’t want to fight Abby at all because she was just doing anything to survive and she nearly died so many times by the end she doesn’t even care about dying.

    I think Abby is one of the greatest characters ever to be in a video game and yes I **** hated her for killing Joel and I was thinking about not even playing the game when I saw the leaks but by the end of the game my whole opinion on Abby changed and that’s because she finally saw that what she did was wrong and seeing the people around her die she saw that she wasn’t doing the right thing anymore and Lev was such a huge part of that when her mum dies Abby becomes like a surrogate mother like Joel becomes a surrogate farther in the original and would do anything to protect her from dying she sees what the wolf’s are doing is wrong and that the scars are just defending themselves from what the wolves caused and that’s amazing. Abby went through hell in this game more than Ellie I mean that monster infected thing OMG didn’t I **** myself that was crazy but I honestly started to see her side of the perspective she was doing what Joel was doing for he met Ellie and Abby did the same before she met lev.

    I honestly think the ending isn’t a sad one like everyone is saying I think it’s a passing of the hatred and pain that has caused Ellie to want to kill abby and her friends at all costs and passing of the hate towards Joel like in the epilogue it shows that they were going to get better and go on more adventures and I just wish Joel said one line and that would be the following when walks off “Ellie I love you and you know when I said that you aren’t my daughter in that cabin you are to my daughter that’s why I did what I did”

    I think the flashbacks are also unbelievably cute and amazing the dinosaurs and space scenes literally made me feel like a kid and honestly I smiled like crazy and the game definitely needed those breaks because there needed to be some hope which most of the game there wasn’t

    I loved all the characters especially Dina lev Abby and Ellie they were my favourites and of course my man Joel who will be forever alive to me.

    I think this game is miles better than the original the art work graphics gameplay animations everything is absolutely the best a PS4 can offer I suggest anyone that hasn’t played the game and is putting bad reviews play the game through and let yourself be moved into the world.

    Honestly this game has to be game of the year and nearly game of the century absolutely stunning and a masterpiece loved every second of it 10/10    … Expand

It is profoundly emotional and real within the story line, cinematic cuts, characters, graphics, details. Loved the dialogues a lot, they were so natural and specific. Not just boring talks, but very human-like, peculiar. Body movements and facial expressions are attentively built. Locations.

    My favourite characters are Dina and Ellie, partially bcs I am a gay woman myself and the depiction of their relationship was very tender and caring, not vulgar, as it can be often shown in media and massmarket content.
    The game is criticised for this kind of ending, but I believe this is one of the best one. It is not trivial. It doesn't have to be liked, nor to be agreed with. It is as it is. Revenge doesn't have to be finalized with a murder, but it's about the emotional release, that Ellie had experienced. Human nature is not linear and predictable.

    There is on open ending. We can come up with our version. I would choose the one where Ellie comes back to Dina and they hug firmly and live happily. That's it.

    To sum up - it is a masterpiece, a novel in a game form. Deeply sensual, irritating in the best ways, thoughts provoking, philosophical.

    If you liked the first one you’ll love this. Better in every way! Don’t listen to the haters, I doubt they’ve even played the game. I’ve played it through twice now and loved it. It’s a bit on the long side, but it mixes up the action and story really well so doesn’t get boring. It’s slow at the beginning, but once it gets going it’s amazing.

    I played the game with great pleasure, I played the first part, and when I found out that the second part would be released, I bought and played it in one go. I really liked the game, graphics, gameplay, new features and functions - everything turned out very well and of high quality

    Чего бы там разочарованные фанаты серии не говорили, а продолжение получилось действительно стоящим. В определенный момент игры ты и в мыслях не держишь ситуации, в которой ты будешь сопереживать Эбби, но сценаристы расписали персонажей так, что делить их поступки на черное и белое просто невозможно. Поэтому поступки центральных лиц в игре получились максимально приближены к тому, чтоЧего бы там разочарованные фанаты серии не говорили, а продолжение получилось действительно стоящим.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
