This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Highly disappointing game. Gameplay has not changed since part one - if you did not like it, you won't like it here either. The best qualities are the graphics and the level design, yet it's hard to enjoy them when faced with stale gameplay, boring puzzles and (most of all) the abysmal story. The second part of the game is painful to play. The developers tried really hard to make you like Abby, but everything about her story arc is uninteresting and forgettable. Her decisions make little sense, as do those of her friends.
To make it short - the story is so bad that I barely made myself finish the game. I played worse games, and the score TLOU2 deserves is about 5 or 6. But seeing the game journalists outright lie about this game giving it a perfect 100, I feel justified to give it a 2 (+1 for the graphics and +1 for the level design) to counter the bots and raving fanboys who keep giving it straight 10s.

Its bad enough that the devs hoodwinked the fans with the trailers but giving us a hopeless story with a very unsatisfying ending is a slap in the face.
The gameplay is solid, the graphics is great but the story is awful and the ending reinforced it instead of correcting it.

The game was amazingly well done and an absolute joy to play, but I felt like the end was an odd shift in tone, style, and feeling that didn't feel right with the rest of the game. I get what they were trying to do, but too many things bothered me in the end. Otherwise a 10/10 Expand

The place we left the first game in was an awkward and uncomfortable one and the feeling between characters carries on that trend. I would not take into account the opinions of the people giving this game a 5 or below out of 10,because they seem struggle to empathise with characters motivations in the game. It is a brilliantly made game with a few bits of fat on it that could be trimmed down. Overall the cut scenes, graphics, story telling and settings are 10/10. Characters feel alive in this world. Gameplay is very much the same as the first game, with a few more added extras but it is noticeably the Last of us gameplay. Overall Brilliant, rivalling all time great games like The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Mass Effect 2 and of course the 1st Last of Us game. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. ‏At first I didn’t know whether to buy TLOU 2 or not due to the many negative reviews and many positive reviews, but I decided to to give it the benefit of the doubt. *Spoilers*. At first, the new characters introduced in the game I never really liked, cared or even remember them. The dialogue and chemistry between almost every character is horrible in my opinion. Except for Abby and Lev. I honestly enjoyed their story together, other than that nothing really. I felt like I was forced/supposed to like them just because Ellie does, unlike in most of the first game where you see the progression of Joel and Ellie’s relationship. When Joel died (obviously I was very sad) but at the same time I was excited. I knew Joel was going to die due to the trailers barely showing Joel and every time I heard anything about it was about Ellie. But I have to admit I didn’t think he was going to die this quick. I really didn’t like the pacing of the story. They showed Abby as the “bad guy” for most of the game, while playing as a character you knew and loved for 7 years! And then they wanted you play as and sympathize Abby. This was alright to me at first because of course in the The Last of Us universe there are no “good guys” nor “bad guys”. But every minute passes and it was more boring to me. I didn’t enjoy playing as Abby at all. Especially how most of her story and the reason why she killed Joel was being played in flashbacks. Talking about flashbacks. I didn’t hate all flashbacks. Like how they used flashbacks to show you how Joel told Ellie what he has done, I enjoyed them. Quite honestly I enjoyed all of them. But Abby’s flashbacks not at all. I think if they let you play all of Abby’s flashbacks at the very beginning, before she kills Joel. I think that would have been somewhat better. Most characters death are forgotten, by the other characters even the players themselves I’ve noticed. Nora, Manny, Mel, and Owen, I don’t recall Abby nor Ellie bringing them up, maybe just once. But for characters that are supposed to be one of the “protagonist’s friend group” that’s really low. Secondly, the AI in this game I didn’t enjoy, I played the game on Hard, Medium, and Easy. The enemy’s difficulty barely changed, but the amount of resources and bullets did change within each difficulty. I’ve barely on all difficulties saw the enemy attack one of my allies. (Something the first game excels in by the way) and they always focused you no matter what. Sometimes the enemy AI locks and just hides even though you’re just sanding or running. (Yet again something the first game did brilliantly). Don’t know about humans but if you had the high ground near zombies, they’ll rarely get up to you. And if they do, most of the time they fall down.

Thirdly, the gameplay is just as good as the first game. They added the dodging but it was very buggy for me and didn’t work as supposed to. Fourthly, glitches in the game was something common in the game. A random burst wrong colours were shown. I.e; A rusted grey drawer that magically has a very bright white lower drawer. Same thing with desks, beds, even garages. And sometimes a dark blue or black square of grass that’s surrounded by green grass. I also randomly got out of the map twice. Finally, some positives about the game is quite obviously, the graphics, they sometimes made me forget how much I hated the story. I liked the realistic physics in the game. Most voice actors were fantastic. All in all, if you enjoyed the game, good for you. And I’m really happy that you wasted your time on a game you liked. And I’m not saying that you’re completely wrong and I’m 100% correct. I’m just stating what I felt while playing the game and hope that you understand why I didn’t enjoy the game. I didn’t dislike it because I’m following other people hating on it. I came into the game neutral. And I didn’t enjoy it at all.

I’d honestly give it somewhere between 2.7 and 3.3.

Naughty Dog finds a way to build an amazing diverse and inclusive cast of characters with mesmerizing landscapes that never feel copy/paste of other areas, while providing seamless transitions and combat, making you feel like you're living the experience. This story is gut wrenching all the way through and at times doesn't feel "fun." But what it does feel like is human experience, full of trauma, complicated emotions and decisions that leave you on edge, because this world is so unforgiving. It doesn't care about who you love, because your closest ally is someone's enemy and karma makes the final choice. Go into this game with a open mind, it is a beautiful, amazing, dark game that tells a great story, yes the leaks might ruin it for some people and I understand, but if you take the time and actually play the game then you will realize that Joel’s death is just a small part of the game, best graphics I have ever seen in a game, amazing gameplay, and the open world Seattle is breathtaking, so far TLOU2 is my game of the year and I think it will remain that way, Abby is a awesome character introduced, I loved playing as her and I loved her weapon class, her upgrades and honestly her character in general, her and lev make such a awesome duo towards the end of the game, if you truly liked the first game you will like the second, story is beautiful told in different parts but amazing, you will definitely feel the emotions, there are times wear it gets dark that you don’t even know if you want to kill that said person anymore, it just gets worse and worse, but that’s the beautiful thing about the ending, Ellie finds out why she doesn’t kill Abby and why she doesn’t takes a lot of thinking, I know why but I feel like it’s better when you find out yourself, I also loved the side characters very intriguing and cool seeing all the different characters, a lot of abbys friends are cool and Jessie and Dina are fantastic for Ellie! I highly recommended this game to any fellow gamer out there! I give it a 10/10 Also the collectibles in this game are so addicting there so fun and make the game so much more interesting, same with the artifacts and notes you can find along the way it really helps tell how people responded to the out break and during it! This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wow. This game is absolutely, positively incredible. It has the same vibes as the first one. It is brutal, it is gut wrenching, it is stressful, it is kind of miserable, and it is heart-warming. The graphics are absolutely stunning and the game-play is so much fun. The voice acting and character writing is absolutely incredible. I adore the diversity and LGBTQ representation in it as well - LGBTQ people exist and are not a political statement; we deserve mainstream stories like this, even if it is a brutal post-apocalyptic gore and revenge throwdown. Overall I liked the story, despite minor plot holes and some loose ends. My biggest complaint about the story is the ending; SPOILER ALERT! I believe the tail end of it set in California was highly unnecessary and felt unfinished. I wish the theatre battle between Ellie and Abby was the final battle - Ellie could have had the same realization in the basement that she had on the beach. I am glad that Ellie, Abby, Dina, Tommy, and Lev all lived in the end and wish it ended with Ellie and Dina being happy on the farm and Abby and Lev going off to start new lives together. I would give it a 10/10 if the ending wasn't what it was. Overall, it was a great ride and I loved it. Thank you, Team NaughtyDog! (Also, thank you for not killing any of the LGBTQ characters - that trope is overdone and I was so worried the whole time one of them would die.) Expand

Also as the director of the game said, it's more on the hate side than love.
Don't get me wrong, I cried my ass off for 15 mins when I saw that big scene, but I guess I decided to enjoy this masterpiece and listen to it's message as apposed to blaming it for not being EXACTLY the same as the 1st game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Beautiful game perfect in almost all aspects, the problem everyone had with this game is the expectation on the story being better than Part 1, which probably will not happen in a long while because it's so good, the journey of Ellie into darkness and becoming the villain of sorts and then the journey of Abby after meeting Lev is great, most people who rated this game under 5 because of the story are not being objective and mostly taking over mass histeria without probably putting to much time to the game, this game has better story and characters than Assassin's Creed Origins and Horizon put together, and the same people giving less than 5 to this game gave around 8 to these 2 games, so there's clearly resentment to either LGTB content which doesn't affect the storyline, or can't get pass a good story just because their favorite character gets killed Expand

I don’t think you can objectively say the writing is bad. The plot of this, and the first game for that matter, isn’t masterful. But they are both driven by awesome characters and dialogue which I think more than makes up for It. My main gripes: it could be shorter, I’m not a fan of meticulously looking for collectibles, and pills and parts kinda fly in the face of realism. With this, the skill trees and weapon upgrades seem arbitrary and outdated (I’d prefer they make weapon upgrades awards from puzzles or harder enemies, and new skills unlocked depending on how you play to progress) Expand

The story was just as good as the first game in my opinion. Good characters that I got attached to. I started out hating Abby’s guts, but by the end of the game I actually think she was a better person than Ellie. I was impressed at the games ability to make me switch sides. TLOU Part 2 is a very polished game with fantastic visuals and presentation. I was absolutely awed by all the little details and couldn't believe that it was running on my PS4 Slim.

However, the game eventually gets to a point where it's story is terribly annoying to me, the player, that it is hard to treat it seriously even with how great the game looks and feel.

As many know, the game badly represents it's established characters. Players will question the actions of the characters and it is hard to believe that the same characters that the players knew will do what they do in Part 2.

Some (including Druckmann himself) will try to argue that these characters are not out of character at all, and that the time skip to Part 2 has changed them. But it sounds like a pretty weak argument to me. The game does not attempt to show or hint you on the changes to any of these characters. Why should the players study into something not shown or hinted to them and speculate a reason that could never be confirmed (unless through a DLC) to justify a questionable action in the game?

Not to mention that Druckmann eventually fires at the players for thinking that they understand the character more than him when they don't, which is such a cheap shot. If the character development was not shown in the game and the writer(s) has to clarify it during an interview, this is just a failure in storytelling on their part.

Next big issue. You play as another character named Abby for almost half of the game. I really don't think this should be considered a spoiler since shes almost like a secondary protagonist. The general idea of playing as Abby is that the game wants you to like her as a character and sets you off on a journey similar to that of TLOU 1.

The issue with this experience is that it feels extremely forced and there does not seem to be a clear direction with this. A good half of Abby's part is almost pointless to the overarching story that people are interested in, other than, look, she has friendly friends and do everyday people good things. The other half involves her going on a journey while caring for younger and vulnerable people like how Joel's relationship to Ellie in the first game.

However, this journey was so poorly executed that it becomes apparent that the game is trying to get you to like her. In the first game, we understand that Joel has a hardened personality because of his daughter's death and his journey with Ellie helped him to break out of his shell and allowed him to accept and face his past. This is likely why we liked him, as we see him go through these development with Ellie, and it rarely feels like the game is trying to force us to like Joel.

Abby's journey on the other hand feels meaningless. She is pretty much the same character before and after the journey. Her journey started on the premise that, "They saved me, so I have to save them", which doesn't say much about her character, she could have been like this the whole time. Eventually she continues to care for the younger character simply because they both has nowhere else to go.

Asides from the poor execution of the journey. Abby also makes very questionable and unlikable decisions in the game. So it feels like the game wants you to like her, but at the same time, the writers don't seem to understand what is unlikable, or that they overestimated how players would have overlooked those actions.

Overall, it really seems like something that was written on a whim with little care to the story details.

I'll start this review out by saying I didn't enjoy the gameplay of The Last of Us 1 very much. Zombies are a very overused and drawn out horror trope and the first game didn't really do anything to make the gameplay stand out very much in terms of survival third person shooter games. The one thing that honestly carried the sub par experience in my opinion was the story. Unfortunately, this game drops the ball with both aspects. The gameplay isn't changed much aside from things that make it annoying, like human enemies having invincibility frames when they melee attack you and new zombie types that are uninspired and even more annoying to deal with than the normal zombies. The stealth gameplay is literally the same as it was in the first game except now stealth areas are in front of loading doors that make you do a prompt for 10 seconds or so to open a door that has some debris in the way or something. It's also a little too hard in my opinion, I don't consider myself to be particularly bad at stealth games, and I was playing the game on normal difficulty, but I kept finding myself getting discovered during almost every stealth section because of how densely packed the areas are with enemies. The gunplay is fine, and I didn't really mind it much but it's not anything special either. Every time a zombie section came around I audibly groaned because I loathed them so much. The zombies are not fun to fight in this game, especially because the clickers still one hit kill you, which I found to be annoying and cheap in the first game, and the others will grapple you which forces you to preform a quick time event to escape while your health steadily drains. I was really relying on the story to at least be somewhat close to the quality the original had, but to no avail. None of the newly introduced characters in this game are likable aside from Yara and Lev. Every other character essentially has 2 personality traits that they cling to like glue. Abby falls into this as well and essentially goes from very unlikable to somewhat unlikable throughout the course of the game. Decisions that previously established characters make in this game made me roll my eyes because they were so sudden and out of character. The game also tries its absolute hardest to make you feel bad for the actions you preform throughout the story but with such unlikable characters and them trying so very hard to make the player feel bad it just doesn't work out. I essentially enjoyed three sections of this game and that's about it. The rest was just a gray puddle of indifference in my mind. The graphics are really beautiful though, I guess I can give the developers that. This is a pretty game for sure. Overall though there's not very many things I can say I enjoyed about this game without getting into spoilers. Very disappointing sequel and I can see why so many people are upset with it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Abby did things that made her as bad as Ellie yet the story overlooked it, gave her a happy ending and constantly tried to emotionally manipulate the player into feeling sympathy towards her (One example being how it showed Abby freeing a zebra from barbed wires while you're forced to put down a dog while playing as Ellie making a comparison on how Abby is "Good to animals so she must be a misinterpreted saint) anyone who's "good" or "misunderstood" doesn't beat a person into a bloody pulp and force them to watch their surrogate father who they grew up with get killed in front of them in the most demeaning and brutal way. Even the only potential the story had of giving us a satisfying ending and redeeming its jumbled mess of story was ruined by Ellie leaving behind Dina and her child to go after Abby. She then proceeds to get her fingers bit off (making her not being able to play the guitar) and then in a totally unforeseen turn of events, lets Abby go and because she decided to be the better person and not start another cycle of revenge (Spoiler alert) SHE was the one that suffered in the end. Joel also did something similar, that thing is him saving Abby from the horde of infected and ultimately paying the price for it. It's as if the game is constantly chiding the characters it's trying to get you to dislike for being good people while at the same exact time chiding them based on actions they have been forced to take when they get stuck in a moral dilemma. while Abby, the bully that doesn't genuinely seem remorseful when faced with bad decisions she isn't even forced to take or is apathetic when someone outside her colourful and inclusive cast of friends dies, is constantly held in a moral high ground; never going through a redemption arc and is Immune to anything that makes her an evil person. Speaking of evil people, lets take a moment to talk about Joel, the redheaded stepdaughter of TLOU2. A Cynical and depressed old man whose daughter (Aka Ellie) was forcibly being experimented on (Sidenote: IDGAF about humanity being saved, that still wouldn't have condemned Ellie's death if it happened. Her life isn't any less important than a few hundred that will only continue to live in a dystopian society with infected roaming it) now in this universe's bleak moral values you would expect that saving your daughter and killing her captors is a sane thing to do, right? WRONG! Joel, a character loved by fans unlike Abby gets killed due to this action. Though say if Ellie *did* get killed by said captors wouldn't the masses immediately ignore the fact that they killed a 14-year-old girl and hail them as a heros (See the double standards here?). That's why the developers fail to make us players hate Joel. The death of those fireflies from the first game isn't something we cared about in the first game so why should we suddenly do now? This game is a visually stunning, polished hot garbage with a world that is in a constant existential crisis not able to decide whether it should be linear or open also the controls are so tediously easy that it makes you feel like you're watching an over-glorified Hollywood movie rather than playing a videogame. This game used to be praised for its "bittersweet" story even sparking the debate at the time it got released on whether or not video games should be considered art. but sadly that in no way applies to TLOU2 and TLOU2 deserves no way near a perfect score. Whoever gave it that just proved to everyone how an utter joke game journalism really is and how nobody should trust them when all they ever did was base their ratings on propaganda and personal "preferences" in the game that doesn't apply to the majority of it's intended audience. When Rockstar is able to pump out every 5 years or so a game with phenomenal storytelling yet make it a perfect open-world sandbox then it becomes clear that whoever spent 7 years writing this isn't very competent and any excuses from naughty dog's side become stale. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have never written a review for a game before, but after completing TLOU2, I felt compelled to dispute the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this website

First and foremost, I am a HUGE fan of the first game - I would rate it in my top 3 games of all time. I am a fan of storytelling games and narratives with an emotional punch, so getting to watch the dynamic between Joel and Ellie play out was an enormously satisfying experience. Like many, I was extremely disappointed to learn (from the leaks) about Joel's demise. However, I decided to give Naughty Dog the benefit of the doubt and I could not be happier that I did not listen to the all the negative criticism and left my evaluation until after experiencing the game for myself

This game is a MASTERPIECE. Most of the reviewers who claim the story is terrible seem to nitpick at idiosyncratic elements of the game (Why is Abby so buff? How come Joel didn't know he was walking into a trap?) and have completely missed the greater theme of the narrative. Joel's death served as a key catalyst to drive a true emotional investment in Ellie's story. I felt deeply invested in her bloodlust and single-minded desire to extract revenge. But then Naughty Dog used multiple clever narrative tools to slowly change my - the player's - perception of Ellie's quest. Dinah and Lev served as foils to better illustrate the futility and cost of Ellie and Abby's actions. Abby - and her own story of loss and lack of purpose and agency - was the mirror coin to Ellie. In addition to humanizing the enemy, her story made me truly feel the horrific cost of Ellie's rampage. Even the gameplay itself served to exhaust the player, giving you little to no respite between fights, giving the NPCs names, making stealth kills brutal and gruesome.

I have never played a game that made me feel almost exactly the same as the main character - first her loss, then her anger, then her pain and exhaustion, and finally, as she sat on the beach emotionally numb and drained, the emptiness from the futility of her pursuit of revenge as a way to fill the gap from her loss of agency. This is a story about a girl who had her purpose in life stolen away from her just as she was finding a new purpose in life, and the personal journey she had to take to realize that an endless cycle of violence would never plug that hole in her.
The journey I took with Ellie and Abby felt intensely personal, and although I still haven't recovered enough to fully understand and digest all my thoughts from this experience, I can say for a fact that I thoroughly enjoyed the process. There are a hundred vanilla games out there where the story is straightforward and vanilla, and the hero gets to ride off into the sunset in the end, and if that's what you're looking for then yes, this game is NOT for you. But what is a story-driven video game really? It is a chance to live a life and immerse yourself in someone else's story, one that you could never experience in your own reality. To artificially experience feelings - revenge, anger, loss, triumph - that you can't conjure from your daily circumstance.

If you want to LIVE a story, FEEL what the characters feel, and emerge from the other side better for it, then please do give this game a try.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. From a technical perspective this game is a masterpiece. From combat to movement game is in a great shape. Environment is gorgeous, animations are fluid and impactful when it comes to combat. You can see how much effort developers put into this game by simply checking even such small thing as weapons upgrading. When upgrading a weapon your character will actually detach part that is being upgraded and will either replace it with new one or visually change current one, and all of this will be properly animated. When it comes to story — developer’s tried to show both sides of it, I actually liked it, but it seems like because we have two main characters from both sides too many retarded moves are made by them just to keep each other alive.

I finished this game on hardest difficulty available and now I will try to explain what I liked and disliked.

    What I don’t like:
    1. Retarded AI. Sometimes it is enough to run behind a corner for enemies to lose your track. 2. Arenas becomes boring after several hours of gameplay. After several hours in game you will notice that gameplay follows the same formula — you will be put in small arena, enemies are patrolling it, and exit will be blocked with “hold triangle to open this door” thing, which basically means you have to kill all of them, because opening this door will make noise and take time, which will attract enemies and they will not let you do this unless all are dead. 3. Ammo limitation. Because ammo is limited in this game you’ll have to count every shot, and also developers won’t let you pick more than 12 bullets for rifles, 16 for pistols and around 10 for shotguns. Why the **** this is a thing ? 4. Weapons variety is extremely limited.
    5. Pregnancy. Oh boy, why every pregnant women in this game have to go to frontline ?
    6. I don’t wanna beat up Ellie
    7. Abby kills Joel, Ellie kills Abby’s friends, now they are trying to kill each other. This revenge circle man.
    8. 2 boss fights, both the same, you even have to kill the same creature. The only difference is that one you kill as Ellie, second one as Abby.

    What I liked:
    1. Visuals. Obviously.
    2. Environment
    3. Combat. Fluid and impactful animations, just what you need.
    4. Exploring is actually fun and rewarding.
    5. Cut-scenes and face animations even during combat will actually let you understand what character feels right now. Even in small talks facial animation of your character will let you understand how he feels about this topic. Just awesome.

I actually hated Abby almost the entire time. Even let Ellie kill her on purpose a couple times so I could see her get her revenge and pretend that was the end of the game. But I know that that’s not what actually happens and finished the game anyway. I saw the way Abby was stripped of a lot at the end and actually felt bad for her. I did end up liking her a little bit but she’s definitely not a character I love or even really care about. I was pretty indifferent to her. Didn’t care if she lived or died. I mean, she was perfectly fine with killing a pregnant woman until Lev stopped her. While Ellie didn’t know she killed a pregnant woman and then had a panic attack when she finds out she did. The game really messed with my emotions and I love games that do that. I wish Ellie got a little bit of a happier ending. Not a complete happy ending, but at least got to keep her freaking fingers. I see what they were trying to do with this game, but I’m not sure it was executed all that well when it comes to the story but I do still like it. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay was fun, and I found myself wanting to play more and more. So I’ll give it a higher rating for that. But it’s not a full 10 for me because of the way the story was told and executed. It could’ve been better. It’s definitely a new favorite for me, but part 1 is just better and couldn’t be topped. The game graphically and playably is a delight if you liked the gameplay of the first last of this you will like why it is improved, if we only told all the factors of the game except the story it would be a remarkable or outstanding game but they have screwed up in the story according to my opinion what is the backbone of the game.

    Spoilers
when abby kills joel you are shocked and in my case I was speechless for a few seconds in disbelief, almost a tear fell it was a hasty death but correct by the way they kill him, as a player of the first I felt the elly's revenge and he was elly during the game why he wanted the same thing he wanted revenge throughout the game you enjoy it has its flaws but they are trifles you enjoy the death of each wolf and halfway through the game when it only remains to kill abby discovers them (in one In my opinion, a little absurd way, why does Elly forget the map in the last place where she killed, so to speak, an objective of revenge and Abby finds everything indicated where they have gone and where they are but my question is who the hell does she put where she lives in a map with a giant circle) after discovering them kill jesse and there increases your desire for revenge. You go to play with abby but throughout the whole stretch of the game you play the only thing I enjoyed was seeing the disasters and deaths what we have caused in the game when we were playing with elly and making abby suffer and seeing the ways how she dies for me not his story interests me what I want is to kill you why you have killed my father (Joel) and my friend (jesse) and at one point he shoots abby at Tommy (leaves him lame and blind) but the worst thing that you fight with abby against elly (a one of the things that I enjoy the most is how elly killed abby when he played) abby wins and spares elly's life you keep on wanting revenge but they don't give it to you you're pissed off as a player but you say to be frustrated but it's over but they don't make a ellipsis of a couple of months elly appears living with his girlfriend on a farm comes tommy tells him where this abby they give you the hope of a revenge what are you going to fulfill the initiation to abby they capture a group and have her crucified on the beach Elly saves them fight in e he walk elly loses a couple of fingers on the way with the fight with abby but he spares elly abby's life after that elly returns to the farm his girlfriend has not left her and he starts playing the guitar elly but he can't because he A few fingers are missing what is one of the things that Joel taught him and he loses it to me which has shown me that the venzanga works for some and nothing for others.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall i thought the game was ok, but can't say i thoroughly enjoyed the experience or think at this stage i'll replay it. Graphics were amazing, and gameplay was awesome - if not a little repetitive to the end with some encounters. I loved the first game and have played it multiple times; enjoying the dynamic between Joel and Ellie and looking forward to part 2 for years - the story was what made the first game amazing. i felt the story was what really let part 2 down. I got behind it for the first half and the flashbacks of joel and ellie, but really did not enjoy playing the second half. it almost feels like they did too good a job in the first game that after seeing what abby did, i just did not care for her side or empathise towards her at all which is what the writers really had to achieve in order for the player to like the story. it didn't help that overall i thought she was a dislikable person. I feel to achieve a goal that they aimed for you have to have a fair bit of hubris to even think to attempt it, which was a big risk in itself /an amazing character and writing - and overall abby as a character and her story really did not do it for me. With Ellie i spent the first half exploring the world and taking my time, whilst i groaned audibly when i realised id be grinding through abby and her friends story line for half the game, just so i could get back to the story i really cared about - Ellie, dina and Tommy. i literally rushed my way through with Abby just to get back to where the story switched and cheered when half her friends were killed off. I also feel like the final 'epilogue' set after the initial ending was probably not needed. Especially to have Ellie give up on so many good things and make the final decision she made - it made little sense after going on a genocide across America and felt like a waste of time/unsatisfying to me. Guess i may be a little bit more old testament then some. By the end i was just exhausted. 6/10 Expand

Random other factions are forced into the story without any real development that end up being pointless other than just pushing the narrative. By the end of the game I no longer had any real emotional ties to any of the characters involved. This game is essentially like playing a TWD version of the last episode of GOT.

Buena la version de Take on me. Nota: 6/10

First, say that we all will love the game, now, the same people said: "it's not a game to everyone". Right, I really don't care if the company wants to do this kind of game, but I felt bamboozled with trailers creating hype and connection with the first beloved game to just deliver this crap.

Unfortunately, I need to agree with another review here that said that "buy pre-order" from Sony could be a real problem. Spend money on a AAA game that I don't want to play. We received "a lie", probably they don't say anything before to avoid the game to "flop" as movies with that kind of "narrative". Nonetheless, if that is the way that Sony wants to follow from now, I will think twice before buy the new PS5 console.

I don't give 0 because the game is really, technically, beautiful. But, you need to check it for yourself... but don't buy the digital version you will not be able to sell it. I think that you need to check for yourself (don't believe in me), but come back here to tell to everyone what you discovered.

Just to finish, I never saw a number of user scores on Metacritic so high on years and a lot of AAA games... "something is wrong", are really gamers voting or people trying to defend their causes?

One of the very few games that I have enjoyed so much that I just couldn't stop playing to the point my eyes were dead-shot red and people thought I was seriously sick and needed a hospital. It's something very small but the representation of the lgbt in this game was really cool. It's something so small and not the focus of the story but still enough that it was definitely seen and heard. Except for the build-up for Dina and Ellie's relationship in the beginning (which was a bare minimum) it's just casual and barely noticeable for the rest of the game that there's anything more going on. The way they brought in without overdoing it was on point. If anyone thinks they did overdo it they were focused on the wrong thing during the game, I can tell you that! The story on it's own was very well written and played out. It really got you wanting more each minute you're in the game. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Maybe the only note that I have is the ending, Ellie leaving her family behind to chase down Abby to let her go in the end seemed a bit of a waste, though there's indication that Dina went back to Jackson and you can see Ellie leaving the house as well, probably going after her. For me, this is the perfect way to end the franchise although I wouldn't be opposed to another game. All in all, the game was worth the wait all these years. Expand

The AI is much more intelligent and their interactions, cries of agony and anguish for their lost friend or dog is very believable and as a player I felt guilt and uncomfortable with my actions. I've never had a game make me feel that way before and I appreciate it for the level of immersion it provided for that to be possible. It is a bold direction for Naughty Dog but one I very much enjoyed. It's not the best story driven game I've ever played but I admire the direction they took. It was bold, they didn't take the easy route and provide a cookie cutter copy of the first game to appease fans, its realistic to the setting of the game. Its a story of survival and consequence and its true to the dark gritty nature of an apocalyptic world. Expand

Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a masterpiece, should be up there with the Mona Lisa or Dark Side of the Moon as one of the greatest work of art ever created... Here are the reasons why Naughty Dog created a true work of art:

They could have been easily finish this game last year by ending it on Seattle Day 3 with Ellie killing Abby...a normal revenge story. Joel death is cruel, it fill us with the same feelings Ellie had, it is not a Disney story, Joel was a bad person but we get to loved him on the first game but eventually his past caught up with him.

Abby killed Joel and Ellie wants to revenge his death...HOWEVER....Naughty Dog did the extraordinary...they made you played with Joel's killer, we all hate it....but as the days pass and we get to know this character, her back story and her reasons, we understand how valid her reasons were, maybe more than Ellie's and how determine she was in focusing on Joel only and nobody else.

The creators want us to doubt who was right or wrong, make us discover the terrible consequences of vengeance in more than one occasion, Abby lost all of her friends, Ellie lost her family, her sanity, Jesse, Tommy's health and even the one thing that could connect her to Joel (her ability to play the guitar).

People who said Joel was not honored, obviously did not understand the importance of the Flashbacks, the Birthday was amazing, the guitar scene as well, and the ending when Ellie "forgives" Joel the night before his death just an extraordinary touch in letting us know that having anger or being upset with love's ones is not worth it since you never know what could happens next.

Finally the end is just perfect, Ellie honored Joel's life by forgiving Abby and allowing her to become the protector for Lev the way Joel was for Ellie. The scene with Joel smiling as Ellie was killing Abby was key in understanding that it was enough. I will only add a simple question...."Why Abby? - and let Abby explain Ellie that Joel killed her dad who was the doctor" That will be the perfect closure.

I get why some people may dislike the game. Seeing someone you've learnt to love and care about dying like that, then playing as the killer and seeing the other side can be tough. But for me this has brought so much depth to the story! Naughty Dog has shown the true meaning of the sentence "every villain is a hero of their own story", and I think it was brilliant and very brave. I'm heartbroken, and I wish things were different for Ellie and Joel, but the world can be really cruel, and we have to understand that. The last flashback hit me pretty hard! At that very moment you realise Ellie hated herself for not forgiving Joel in life, and seeking revenge so blindly was a way of suppressing the feeling, because dealing with it would hurt so badly. The message is pretty clear here!
As I said, I get why people may dislike the way things happened, but I can't understand all the hate! The game has so much to offer whether you like the story or not. You can argue whether it deserves or not a 10/10, but It definitely does not deserve a 0/10.

The ending was fine after all the anger, depression, and negation ellie goes through, she finally accepts that joel is gone and is able to let abby go. The ending means that ellie went from being a sociopath on a killing spree to a sane healthy person able to forgive. Thats why ay the main menú in NEW game plus the boat is out of the water but into a beach with a rising sun.

I did not see any spoilers because it would be shame to do so as a true fan of TLOU part 1 which will stay in my heart forever. Everything we were supposed to feel as a player in first game was concentrated about love - story was told in a way to guide us into fall in love to each of the characters we were meant to play. In second one it was done the same way but instead of love we were meant to feel hate. Hate to each one of main characters we played and saw in part 2. Because i hated every character through playthrough, starting from soft and completely different Joel then we used to know going to Abby which motivations were justified (which i really hated that it was justified for her to kill him) ending on Ellie which decisions led her to lose everything she loved and her sweet pugnacious side of her character which we all loved in part 1. It was devastating to see how those characters evolved because of brutal Joel's death. What i loved about this game is exactly the same thing i loved about part 1. Emotions, tones of them which i felt when i played it from beginning to the end. Joel's death, swarm attack of infected on Abby in early first part of the game, that fear those characters felt, i felt it too along with excitement. Game was exhausting to play as her later in the game, hunting for Ellie as Abby made me feel inside really strong rejection. And the ending... i stopped there for a moment after i saw it and asked myself, what would i do in both places of Abby and Ellie if i was put in the same situation as they were. Would i kill Abby, would i let her go? Would i kill Joel for what he done to me, would i let him live? When i ended the game i felt completely drained and tired same as sad. Firstly i was angry, really angry and sad about what happened, how the story was told... but when dust fell down on the floor and some time has passed i realized that part 2 made me feel impressive amount of emotions same as part 1 but in completely different way. I felt anger, i felt hate, i felt sadness, i wanted to get revenge for what happened, i wanted to jump on screen and wipe them all out in one second in much worse way then Joel died, i wanted to break something, i wanted to rip something apart. But i couldn't, instead of it i was forced to play as Abby, learn her motives, i was forced to even put a smile or two while i played her and then right after one smile my memories went back to the moment of who she is for me and then i felt disgusted. Was it bad that i felt it? No. It was excellent to be fully engaged emotionally in the story because it is unique in games industry to feel such engagement in play. This is why i gave it 10/10 experience. Im just the guy that was able to look at whole picture after some time has passed. I am definitely going to play this again no matter of it's imperfections. Joel's death is not a reason to call it a poor story, it's just something that many people can't and will never accept because they wanted more of the story that was concentrated about love between him and Ellie. They get something else, something which for many may stay as unacceptable and bad storytelling. I disagree with that opinion it was as good experience as first game but in different way Expand

This game will challange your emotions and if you're not ready for that sort of experience then this game is not for you. This isn't a Marvel movie or a Uncharted game. This is a game about imperfect human beings struggling to survive and handle love and loss. I was unsure at first but I'm completely sure now. TLoU2 is in my opinion a 10/10 game. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I loved this game and I think all the hate from it stems from the fact that people were unable to approach this game with an open mind and they shut down once Joel died. Joel was not a great man, he's done a lot of **** up **** in the first game (torture in the Winter chapter, saving Ellie and essentially dooming humanity) and before the first game (he said he was a Hunter at one point).

The game looks and plays incredibly well, but I want to use this to talk about the story, which it seems most people have an issue with.

Killing Joel is a great way to kick off the story and get Ellie moving. It made me mad when Joel died and, like Ellie, I was ready to go and get some revenge. I found that Dina made for a good partner, she balances Ellie's recklessness well and provides caring and contrast to Ellie's sheer determination and bloodthirsty focus. Alternately, Jessie shared Ellie's desire for revenge and willing to kill, but unlike Ellie, he has clear lines on how far he is willing to go and doesn't hesitate to separate himself from her when he feels she's going too far. When I was playing as Ellie, I felt determined to go hunt the WLF and murder Abby.

So, when the gameplay switched and I started playing as Abby at the zoo, I felt a little hesitant, but also curious. Upon learning WHY she went to kill Joel, I felt a much deeper understanding of her. When I saw the time turn back to Seattle Day 1 as Abby and I realized I was going to have to do three days as Abby, I'll admit, I felt like the momentum of the story had been utterly halted, and I was a little upset to have to (in a sense) "restart". However, I put the feelings aside, kept an open mind, and started to work my way through it. I very quickly started to see what Naughty Dog was doing, which is something they didn't do in Part 1. They were humanizing all sides of the story: Ellie, Abby, the WLF, and the Seraphites. In Part 1, you had horse blinders on and were focused just on Ellie and Joel and what Ellie and Joel were doing and how Ellie and Joel felt, which is fine, but what they did in Part 2 made for a very interesting experience. I came to enjoy playing as Abby and when I came back to the aquarium on Day 3 and saw Owen dead on the floor, I was ready to kill Ellie. The fight between the two of them was intense for me and I wanted Ellie to die, but also wanted Abby to die. Regardless of what would have happened, I felt like it was going to be justified.

When time skipped ahead and saw Ellie with Dina on their farmhouse, it filled me with a sense of joy that Ellie finally had a calm life. However, when she had her panic attack in the barn, that was the part of the game that made me cry (the game had previously made me very emotional and teary-eyed, but no tears falling). I felt so bad for her that despite her seemingly peaceful life, she was filled with so much conflict still. When she packs her bag and leaves Dina and I saw that there was STILL more to the game, I felt a massive sense of dread and a desire for it to just end. I had grown attached to both characters and I didn't want either of them to get hurt. It felt like being on a rollercoaster that stops and starts to slowly roll backward, which was a feeling that I don't think a video game has given me before.

I loved playing in Santa Barbara, that sort of dry environment hadn't been shown in either Part 1 or Part 2, and it looked beautiful. By the time Ellie reaches Abby, both of them are beaten to hell and back and when Ellie fights Abby, it feels like she's doing it not because she still wants to, but there's a part of her that feels like she has to. She looks exhausted. She stops because she has that flashback of Joel, her last conversation with him, where she says she doesn't know if she'll be able to forgive him, but she'd like to try. I think part of her desire to kill Abby stems from the fact that she never got to forgive Joel, and if she can't forgive Joel, maybe she can forgive Abby. When she returns home, she finds her home empty, Dana and JJ are gone, no note. She finds her guitar and tries to play it, but cannot, due to her lack of fingers.

The reason I give this a 9 and not a 10 is because a part of me wishes the game would have ended here (or after she sets down the guitar and walks out of the room after a few moments of stillness) and the flashback would have come while she was fighting Abby instead of after she plays guitar. Maybe that would have been too direct though. I just love the face she makes when she stops playing guitar. She realizes that in her pursuit to get justice, Jessie died, Tommy has a limp and lost an eye, Dana and JJ left her, and now she can't even play guitar, her last tie to Joel. She makes a face that is rich with realizing that she lost more than she gained and wonders if it was worth it in the first place.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us 2 was an amazing game visually. It’s an amazing game at creating suspense and anxiety. When talking about it I’ve always said it’s not really that fun, but very engaging and stressful which Is fun to some people like myself. The problem for me with the last of us 2, was that it never really made me happy, which is the main reason I play story games. Games like Rdr2, Gow, or the original tlou made me very attached to the characters. In all of those games there are iconic and great moments that makes me feel like those characters feel. Real emotions. In tlou2, the only time I was happy was during the flashbacks with Joel. I could truly care less about abby. Seeing Joel alive was really the only thing. I really like Tommy as well and wish he was in the story more than he is. I can’t find myself to relate with almost any of the characters. As for Joel’s death, I hated it. I was very angry, and I think that’s what they wanted for sure. But Joel didn’t deserve to go out like that. He should’ve gone out defending Ellie from abby or something. Something like Arthur Morgan giving his life to save john marston. If you are really going to kill off a beloved character you have to do it in a good way. The beginning of the game is literally 2 lesbians smoking pot, and then killing Joel. I don’t think most of the people who bought the game care. As for a lot of people complaining about sjw stuff, yes it is in the game. It was annoying to me, but I’m more indifferent than anything. If it was a straight scene I could care less as well. I just want to play a fun and engaging game. Because of these factors like not relating to characters, just wishing the story was completely different, not really being happy at all while playing the game, I can’t rate it very high. This game was fantastic if you don’t care about story. But it’s a linear game (for the most part) and story is what matters. For me it’s a 6.5 out of 10. But I’m still mad about Joel’s death so I’m rounding it down. Expand

This is the strong point of TLOU2, and I can see why one might even go as far as to say it is the key feature of the game.
The level of detail is high, the environment feels very realized (for this kind of lineair experience) and it very much deserves the praise. However, as you go through the game you will notice more and more flaws, mainly in the form of the environment that does not make sense. I did not really felt the environment to be repetitive though.
The same can be said for animations, very good, but you'll notice flaws as the game goes on. But even considering those flaws, still great visuals.
Audio is not the greatest focus here as I think it was in the original. While certain audio cues certainly did enhance the experiences, I think this could be a bit better in terms of impact.

    Gameplay - 7/10 - Good
If you have played the original TLOU you know what to expect. I think it is fine.
I did not like the dodge mechanic. It is very strict, and the animations during combat show their repetitiveness very early on.
Gunplay is okay, but the sway makes it very difficult to make headshots - which is fine I suppose. You can modify your weapon to help you with this.
I did like the customization in the game. One aspect I would like to see improved is ammo capacity, by e.g. craft an extra ammo pouch for a few extra rounds as I felt many times I had to pass on ammo when I found it, because the game tells me I cannot carry more.
Stealth, which is what I mainly did, is good. You have more options now compared to the original game (like hiding in grass).
Weapons and crafting - as Ellie I feel you have several options in how you could handle an encounter if stealth doesn't work. It is expanded on compared to the original, and I did like the new items. Further in the game something changes, and I could not help but feel my options being reduced. I am not sure if this was the intent of the developer.

    Narrative/story - 3/10 - Bad
I loved it as much as I hated it. I won't go into detail, as this would require spoilers.
At the end of the first half, I wanted more of that. When the second half began, I was contemplating myself if I would continue. Never before did my opinion of a game change so fast. I chose to finish it but a thought of dislike for the game came up often.
In the first half it is somewhat like the original, likeable characters and here and there genuine good dialoge and events. These made me feel for the characters. Due to a certain event though some things are inconsequential, so I was not sure why the developer chose that structure. That could be better.
It did not help that in the second half, when some events happen, I did not feel anything for it. Not the characters, not the hardship they experience(d), etc.
When the credits rolled, I was not feeling anything. The second half really did hurt the whole narrative experience for me.
In the end, I hoped for much more than I was given from a narrative perspective. Because of how the events played out in terms of structure and inconsequential events, I feel this is worse than just a poor narrative, which is why I think this is a 3/10.

    Overall
6/10 - As said before I loved it as much as I hated it. Considering everything, this is a great game with a bad narrative. So if you like TLOU for it's narrative and dialogue/characters, I think chances are high you will leave this game with disappointment. So, as someone who loved TLOU, I find it difficult to recommend it.
If you like the gameplay and environment of the original and did not really care for the story/characters, then TLOU2 might be an excellent game for you.
If you are new to TLOU2, and you like a harsh post apocalyptic world, you might like this but do consider if the narrative is important for you. I would recommend to play the original TLOU first before considering the sequel.

The developper said this would be a divisive game. I really think the developpers underestimated the fanbase on this, in a bad way. I cannot understand how the decisions they made would be the best for the game or for the franchise.

Thank you for taking you're time to read this one opinion.

The graphics are phenomenal and the gameplay enjoyable although some times it can feel repetitive.
In coclusion i think you should only buy it on a sale

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Is this game Controversial?  Yes.  Is this game going to make you feel very Uncomfortable at times?  Also, yes.  Is this game Good?  In my opinion, Heck Yes!  And here is why...

This highly-anticipated game carried with it tremendous pressure to deliver something that fans would love and which honored its predecessor - an almost unanimously loved game with equally loved anti-heroes in Joel and Ellie.  I'm truly sad to hear if you feel let down by this game because I can imagine how disappointing that would feel for me.  However, I loved this game, and I honestly cannot fathom anyone giving this game lower than a 7/10 - even if they hated the plot (a sentiment that many have been vocal about).  Let's talk about why I feel this way:

Graphics - 10/10 The game is visually stunning.  There are many times I paused my gameplay just to be still and admire the detail in the scenery.  In classic Naughty Dog fashion, attention to details such as 1. Footprints in snow/dust/blood.  2. Dripping of water from clothing.  3. Facial expressions of the playable character changing based on environment/action.  4. Unique interactions with the environment such as looking over your shoulder when walking up stairs backward.

Gameplay - 9/10 I found the gameplay significantly more enjoyable even than TLOU Part 1.  The addition of squeezing through cracks in the wall made evading or sneaking up on enemies more fluid.  Dogs who can smell your scent trail made attempted stealth turn into sudden shootouts and chases.  And the Stalkers!  OMG these things really tighten up the ol' sphincter when they jump out at you!  I can't give this a 10 because I found some of the "looting" a bit annoying after a while because it distracts from the story.  There is a setting to automatically pick up loot, and turning this on has made things much more enjoyable.

Story - 9/10 Writing - 10/10 Okay - Story vs Writing.  If I explained to you the plot of Star Wars: A New Hope, that is the story.  Now I ask you to write the script for this plot - that is the writing.  I totally understand why people would have an issue with the Story.  I love Joel and Ellie, and it was painful to see Joel die that way... and WAY more painful to see Ellie make the choices she does as well.  And the game took a big risk by having us play as Abby and relive Seattle from her perspective.  This isn't the story I wanted or asked for - but I genuinely appreciated traveling down this road and will not soon forget the experience.  The characters are complex and their story arcs are satisfying and real.  The writing is being bombed in reviews and I don't understand that.  Think about all the conversations and dialogue these characters have.  Each interaction develops character relationships and gives insight into the character dynamics - all while feeling like natural conversations.  Compare this to other games where dialogue is repeated in an unnatural way by NPCs.  TLOU truly feels more grounded.  Joel and Ellie's trip to the Dinosaur/Space museum is the new "giraffe moment" from part 1 - and it makes us feel ALL the feels.  It is a testament to the writing that spending time with Manny and Abby actually changed my mind about how strongly I disliked them both in the beginning.  And I love that the game handled the consequences of Joel's actions head-on in this game.  Joel lied to Ellie, and Ellie sensed this.  As sad as I am to see Joel die, it made his truthful moments with Ellie as he came clean even more powerful.

Voice Acting - 10/10 This game has a star-studded cast.  Heavyweights like Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, and Laura Baily deliver flawless performances - in addition to smaller roles like Isaac (voiced by Jeffrey Wright) leaving such an impression when he is only in 2 scenes!  Compare this to other AAA video games and nothing holds a candle to the performances here.  Each of the actors did an amazing job.

In conclusion - I would recommend that you play this game in its entirety.  I loved it.  It tells a unique story of love, loss, and consequences.  Love or hate the story, the team at Naughty Dog deserves respect for another groundbreaking game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Okay.. So I finished the game first time (didn't read spoilers) and I didn't know how to feel to be honest. It was a mixed emotions. At first I didn't like that Abby don't die but in the same time I know why Ellie spared her. I was sitting in my chair for few minutes trying to collect my thoughts and after that I immediately started the game all over again to try to understand a story even better. And I can tell you it is really good. People are raging becouse Joel gets killed, and I get that. I was mad too but if people just pull their heads from their ass they would understand why it had to be that way. You got mad becouse character that you loved dies and you are not trying to think even for a second why he died ? Hating a game just becouse someone that you like gets killed is seriously dumb. Joel is anti-hero. He is not good guy, but we played as him in the first game and we got his emotions connected with us. If im Joel I would do exact same thing. BUT, when you start thinking outside of the box, maybe you would understand the story. In the end while Ellie is drowing Abby, image of Joel pops up. (Later we see what was that conversation is all about). In that moment Ellie forgives Joel for what he is done but she understands what he is done and why Abby killed him. She forgives Joel and understands that she needs to forgive Abby too. When Ellie gets home, Dina already left and she is sitting with guitar trying to play but she is unable to play the only song that was reminding her of Joel becouse she lost her fingers. In all that hate and revenge she lost everything. She got what she was afraid the most. Ending up alone.

On the other side Abby also loses everyting. She lost it becouse of rage and revenge that she had for Joel.

This story is about revenge and forgiving. People are mad becouse Abby don't die, becouse they don't get what they wanted. They didn't get that happy ending where Ellie kills Abby and she gets to live happy till the rest of her life. Well no. That is what marks this game. That is why it is so different from other games and movies. Not every ending is a happy ending cliche. Neil Druckmann did something different and let me tell you that it takes balls to do stuff that he did with this game.

Now im not saying that this game is perfect, it has it's bad sides too. Especially while playing as Abby. Most of the time it's not that interesting and with some parts on the end I was so bored that I wanted to finish it just so I can get back to Ellie and see what is gonna happen. Im also sad this game got that political part, just becouse they knew that it's gonna be played in the whole world. I think that games are not a place for that.

Story is not that shocking like the first one, for example I could play first game as much as I want and every time I will get those same emotions like I am playing the first time. That is not the case with 2nd game.

A lot of people are posting bad reviews just becouse they read spoilers, but you really need to play the game to understand it.

About graphics and technical part, I think I don't need to say anything becouse it is extremley good that it left me speechless.

Overall I was thinking between 8 and 9 but I will give it a 9. Hopefully all this discussion about the game helps Neil and Naughty Dog to learn from they mistakes and (hopefully sooner than this one) deliver us The Last of Us Part 3. They set very high level with the first game that is really hard to beat but I think that this game has a lot of potential of delivering us something different.

    Thank you.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Played the game Twice now, and my personal experience has been great. I would highly recommend this game to any fan of the first game, with an open mind and unbiased opinion. This game challenges you mentally, and it’s not a story for people who are easily confused, or are not open to new experiences. Naughty dog, has yet again created another masterpiece.

I know the game has it flaws like, the spacing, and when how they told the story it fells like they put all of the script out of order. But at the end of the day I appreciate the risky approach they took to this game and I think people gotta stop calling it trash because Joel died. Speaking of that I wouldn’t have hated if Joel died another way. I hate how he got Tiger Woods all the way outta here. And I don’t know why they decided to try to make people like Abby. I thought they should’ve not done that. And I also think they should’ve gave one of the most beloved video game characters a heroic death. But at the end of the day the game has amazing gameplay and graphics I don’t give a **** how bad pewdiepie convinces you the games trash I like the game. Expand

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
