    Pros: great graphics, enviroments, art design, gunfights and mechanics. Once you start playing you can't stop until you've beaten the game. Also makes you reflect on how revenge can affect people and those around them.

    Cons: the story-telling is quite linear and gives you zero choice about what's happening, so it loses a bit of the effect on the dramatic scenes. Additional info:    Pros: great graphics, enviroments, art design, gunfights and mechanics. Once you start playing you can't stop until you've beaten the game. Objectively this game is a masterwork visually and audibly, and is a true testament to the ability of a studio that's dedicated to the highest of quality standards. Yet I am reluctant to say so in regards to the story. I do not believe it was poorly written nor do I think it was the mess so many other players claim it to be. It isn't as tightly structured as the last game bouncing from one person's perspective to another's rather quickly and also from one timeline to another just as fast. This is what makes its pacing a bit jumbled to some. I was able to follow right along with what I believe the author intended it to be, I'm just not that big a fan of the directions it took. There was clearly an agenda underneath the narrative that at times shines more brightly than at others. Which is fine that is the writers right to do so, I'm just not on board with it as much as they are. I do agree with those who say that certain characters acted out of their normal character like when Tommy and Joel went back to the lodge with Abby and began telling certain details to people they had no knowledge of. That was stupid plain and simple. And the way in which Joel died was shocking for shocks sake and very generic if you ask me. It could have been done far better. But the gameplay was solid and fun as hell and my god this world is so amazingly built it almost defies belief! I enjoyed the game thoroughly but was still a little disappointed with the way certain things turned out. I felt like the point was to paint Abby as the righteous new lead and Joel as the villain. And Ellie wasnt at all who she seemed to be in the first game. It's almost like they wanted to erase your love for the 1st characters to replace it with...? What? I'm not sure. But I would def recommend this game to anyone who like naughty dog games. It was a blast to play I just didn't get as emotionally invested like I did with the 1st one.     TLOU2 is an absolute masterpiece, it continues perfectly from the first game and drags you through an intense , yet interesting story line.     I was waiting for discount half year. Finally I can judge it. I don't know what to say. I was shocked. Narrative was upside down from the final of first game. Previous time we received a hope. Here are no hope is left. Gameplay was addicted, I don't like first part of the game while playing as Ellie. Second part was really good enough.

    Best story. Unlike the last of us 1 , the characters here had more depth. I know people are hating this , most of these haters are the ones who only like Happy endings. These people probably wanted Ellie and Joel ride into the sunset holding hands. But in reality it isn't possible. The story shows us how far Revenge can take a person.

Поэтому, я с уверенностью могу дать ей заслуженные 9/10 баллов, что является объективной оценкой. В первую очередь, в особенности, хочу отменить великолепный сюжет, наполненный безумно сильной драмой, которая дарит тебе большое количество насыщенных эмоций.     Un excelente juego , la forma de pelear , la forma de usar el ambiente , las distintas historias . no es el tipico final de "vivieron felices para siempre" en el 1 vimos la version de Joel y Eli , en esta vimos la version de Aby . super bueno . no le pongo 10 por el alto indice de promocinar el LGTB.

Exclusive with the best graphics on ps4, best facial expressions in the history of video games, a jaw-dropping level design; exploration, stealth and shooter gameplay very dynamic and large and incredibly detailed scenarios. In addition to Gustavo Santaolalla's discrete but very striking soundtrack. Now on the issue of the plot of the game, as the creator and director himself had said before, it would not please everyone and was not made for that. It was made to really hurt. The sudden and raw death of one of the most remarkable characters in history, Joel. The introduction of one of the most controversial characters ever made, Abby. A script proposal with different points of view and an ending for Ellie with a very bitter and extremely depressing taste. All these factors were enough to split the consolidated fan base of the 1st game, and that was the intention. The Last Of Us Part II is not a game for everyone and never will be. The fundamental factor to like this game is to have empathy for characters that you initially hated. If you don't, you certainly won't like it. This is the most emotionally complex game ever made. In short, a remarkable, emotional and extremely sad story. I often say that The Last Of Us Part II was not the game we wanted, but it was what we needed.… Expand

    But the story is far from the feeling part 1 gave.

    The longer you come into the game the more you grow sick of it. It almost feel pointless after a while. And the ending doesn't make it feel less pointless. The worst thing about all of this is how in the end for me atleast the game successfully destroyed the love for Ellie. She feels more like a monster than ever. But the fact that Abby isn't killed after all helps to not see Ellie as an 100% monster.

    It would feel more okay if the horrible actions of Ellie feelt justified in some way. But the longer you proceed it feels less and less justified. But mayby that's the point. Mayby Abby is the one that should have good reasons here not Ellie.

    But its not a bad story it's is smartly done and have taught behind it. It's just a depressing game.    … Expand

    I really thing its a 9.3 but have to give a 10 due to the **** show. Game may be hard to swallow as a fan but if you look at the messages of this game, there is some appreciation. Gameplay is awesome due to th more open level design and smart ai when you play survivor.wish the game had a more stronger cast.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Игра шикарна, техническую часть и обсуждать не надо, по части геймплея, звуков и графики это лучшее во что я играл, и мне не очень хочется это признавать, но по части сюжета тоже.
    А почему мне не хочется этого признавать? потому что он был очень тяжелым. В игре то и дело убивают или калечат героев, к которым тебя привязали, не обязательно до смерти, зачастую после. Постоянно меняется время событий, то тебя переносят на 4 - 3 года назад, то 6 месяцев, то вперед, поэтому и игралось на одном дыхании, она не успевала тебе надоесть, не было какой то статичности, впрочем как и в первой части. Финал игры был особенно тяжелым. Всю игру нас готовили к тому что бы мы убили Эбби, хотя и под конец я этого делать не хотел. И вот, последняя встреча, кровь, крики, плачь, и они расходятся. Казалось бы это хорошо, я не хотел смерти ни одной Героини, но внутри осталось пустота, как и в доме Элли, когда она туда вернулась. Сбылся ее главный страх, она осталась одна.

    Ни один сюжет в играх не заставлял так себя обсуждать, наверное это что-то значит.    … Expand

The critics were right in calling this game a “masterpiece” in every aspect of the word. From the gut wrenching and heartfelt story, to the intense and anxiety filled gameplay, this has it all. There was not one point during the last of us 2 where I felt bored. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and still on the edge with 140 hours put in. I can’t say enough how much this game means to me. Thank you Naughty dog for giving me this experience! This is hands down the greatest game of all time.… Expand

Техническая часть на высоте. Анчартед все же научили делать игры Найтидог. Прыгает куда надо, цепляется как надо, тупых падений не было. Саундтрек потрясающий. Скорее всего это конечно был хайп и никто ей реально не угрожал. А даже если и угрожали, то ооооочень безосновательно. Она всего лишь мстила за отца, которого грохнул Джоэл. Который просто в свою очередь полюбил Элли и отказался променять её жизнь на мнимое спасение мира. Но кто знает. А Эбби.. Как по мне, то в плане игры, то за неё была более интересная и сложная кампания. Рядом с ней были более интересные герои, нежели чем с Элли. Чего стоит один только Лев. :)… Expand

It's completely subjective. Personally, I loved it!     **** happens. Sometimes people you love die and oftentimes it's in the most inglorious ways. Sometimes you fall off some random ladder or get stabbed by some random mook you don't even know. This game is REAL. Revenge is cliche, but guess what? That **** happens in life and no matter how cliche it is it doesn't stop happening. "Revenge is bad". People say that's an obvious point, but**** happens. Sometimes people you love die and oftentimes it's in the most inglorious ways. Sometimes you fall off some random ladder or get stabbed by some random mook you don't even know. This game is REAL. Revenge is cliche, but guess what? That **** happens in life and no matter how cliche it is it doesn't stop happening. "Revenge is bad". People say that's an obvious point, but apparently it's not because it happens every damn day. How long has it been since someone flipped you the bird while you're driving down the road, a week? Is that cliche? **** yes but it still happens. So the least you can do is ask why it happens over and over day after day and on every damn reddit I've seen in the past week.

    What we can gain from games isn't a more sophisticated palette or recognition of our tirelessly exercised skill. We gain experience which influences how we behave and thought for how we can better live our lives. You don't get that from what you want to see. So quit your whining and LOOK for what you can gain from this experience.    … Expand

The game has breathtaking graphics ("you´re breathtaking") and a fluid gameplay. The game is not fun, it´s not supposed to be. That´s what some people don´t realise. The game shows us how cruel the reality is. Not everything happens the way people want and people that you love die. This game is a search for revenge and what a person can do to get it. I love Ellie, but the reality is that she is not the same Ellie we knew. She killed everyone in her way, including Abby´s best friends. And even though she killed them, Abby let her and Dina go. And she went after her again leaving everything behind. The ending was very emotional, when Ellie let Abby go, we saw a little bit of hope, we saw Ellie as a human and not as the cruel thing she had become. In the end we see the Ellie again leaving the farm with a unknown path, leaving the possibility of a The last os us Part 3. I have hope. The Last of Us 2 is the best game i have ever played.… Expand

That said, I still pretty much predicted most of the plot points and had a great time hating Abby and getting to know her and understand her side.     + анимации (всё очень реалистично: выстрелы, удары, убийства, лица и движения персонажей) + открытость локаций (стало больше свободы передвижения и свободы действий, некоторые локации просто огромные) + скрытность (наконец-то появилась возможность ползать, прятаться в траве и делать глушители) + динамика боя    Плюсы:

    + оптимизация (игра невероятно стабильно показывает 30 кадров в сценах любой сложности на любой из консолей PlayStation)
    + звуки (объёмные звуки выстрелов, бьющегося стекла, шагов и зараженных)
    + разнообразие врагов (появилось несколько разных группировок со своими особенностями, собаки и несколько новых зараженных)
    + настройки (первая игра, в которой содержится так много настроек для людей с любыми отклонениями и проблем с моторикой, а также гибкая настройка уровня сложности)
    + отсутствие загрузок (игру можно пройти всего с одним загрузочным экраном - при запуске игры; быстрая загрузка КТ при смерти персонажа, не отрывает от погружения)
    + очеловечивание врагов (противники перекрикиваются по именам, каждый кому-то родня, друг, брат, сват - очень придаёт атмосферы)
    + открытие сейфов (это уже не просто записка с кодом неподалёку, а это записка с напоминанием о дате свадьбы, номером выигрышного билета в лотерею, пароль от Wi-Fi или номер квартиры соседей)

    Минусы: не выделил.

    Может не понравиться:
    = сюжет и концовка (концовка - совсем не то, чего ждёшь всю игру)
    = немного затянутый геймплей (с середины игры может надоесть собирать припасы, т.к. это занимает достаточно много времени)

    Итог: игра однозначно превзошла первую часть в плане графики и геймплейных фишек, но большинство может не устроить неоднозначный сюжет и концовка, а также присутствие ЛГБТ тем в повествовании.    … Expand

It feels like you are in a movie, and I enjoyed the combat as well. Initially I thought I would hate this game based on what happened to Joel, since his character was so lovable from the first game, but the game did such a great job of portraying the effects of his actions from the first game, that you understand why it happened, and that life is complicated, with many different perspectives as to groups of people and their actions. I was so pleasantly surprised this became of my all time fav games. Bravo naughty dog… Expand

    Is a very long game (take me 40 hrs to finish it the first time), lot of different scenarios, sickness passion for the details, the sound effects . . . please play it with headphones: AMAZING. the sound track is precise and smooth, you almost didn't feel the changes.

    This game is DEFINITELY not for everyone, but is also definitely a MASTER PIECE.

    The Last of Us Part 2 is on par, if not better than Part 1. From story, to graphic and game play, this is one of the best video games ever made.     This is a very well made game with a compelling story that twists and turns in powerful ways. Gameplay is engaging and the story is told in tense movie like quality. My wife and I loved it. One of the best games I have played. People rating this game any less than an 8 are wrapped up in some nonsense that has nothing to do with the game.

I can say that is a good game, graphics, music, ambient, everything in the game is so wonderful, I'm impressed with the entire work of Naughty Dog. Taking part with the story, I think that is a good way to show the humanity in his entire point of view, because you can get there and try to revenge one of your loved ones... But it's difficult to make it, this game makes me think about and I love the final decision. The only thing that I feel so disgusting at the beginning, is the change of character at the middle of the game because restart my character progress and it forces to complete that, many difficult to get used with Abby, but at the end you can realize without problems.

    A must play, yes but I think you can wait for a sale, not with this full price.    … Expand

    So I just finished my 3rd playthrough of this game. Now.. in the first playthrough I spend the time that I had with Abby with absolute disgust and hate. I wasn't able to think objectively and see beyond my curtain of hatred. I couldn't get behind the idea of spending half of my game time on a game that I thought was supposed to be about Joel and Ellie with a new character that at thisSo I just finished my 3rd playthrough of this game. Now.. in the first playthrough I spend the time that I had with Abby with absolute disgust and hate. I wasn't able to think objectively and see beyond my curtain of hatred. I couldn't get behind the idea of spending half of my game time on a game that I thought was supposed to be about Joel and Ellie with a new character that at this point I only wanted to murder.

    I rushed through Abby's part as quickly as I could. I ended up saying things like "Okay I can see what Neil Druckmann tried here but it didn't work for me. The story was okay but I was disappointed with the choices they did in the narrative structure, but the rest of the game is a masterpiece".

    I went into my second playthrough with the objective to be... objective! and approach the whole Abby scenario with open-mindedness! And it worked. I started liking Abby and I started to empathize with her story. I finished the game with a much more satisfying feeling towards the story and its characters.

    The 3rd playthrough only strengthened that feeling and it came to a point where I wasn't so sure anymore if I enjoyed Ellie's or Abby's story more. The conflicts between Ellie and Abby just left me speechless. I like both characters, I understand the reasoning behind their doings. I empathize with them. I don't want either to die. It certainly would have been a gruesome finisher if Ellie really would have killed Abby in the end. But I think the choice the narrative directors did here was absolutely fine. The tiny problem that I have here is that I don't know if it was entirely realistic for Ellie to not kill Abby. You see, from a player's point of view it is by far the most reasonable decision to make. We understand both POVs and we know what they both went through. It was a cycle of hatred of two people that lost everything. The problem here is that Ellie doesn't know really know what Abby has gone through so I don't know if it was entirely realistic for her to stop the killing even when it was all she could think of for months. What an incredibly hard decision to make for the narrative directors. I respect the decision to leave Abby alive at the end. It was the more satisfying ending and maybe it isn't all too far-fetched that Ellie stopped the killing when she saw how Abby was tormented and at the same time thinking about Joel and the fact that Abby let her live not only once but twice. Maybe it really was the more realistic choice.

    I also feel like the side cast of this game is pretty underrated. A lot of people call characters like Owen and Jesse trash just because they don't play a MAJOR role in the game. I feel like these characters perfectly tied into the entire story. They may not have been the most influential on the story but the way they came and went tied in so well.

    I just wanted to get that off of my chest and say that this game is a masterpiece. The story is still not close to the first part but it is a damn good story for sure. And like I said before. Gameplay, graphics, soundtrack, animation work, details, world-building, etc are a masterpiece.

    I challenge people that disliked the narrative or disliked Abby after the first playthrough to leave the game alone for a few weeks/months and come back with a more objective attitude. Now that you know how the story plays out, you won't be surprised and caught off guard by the unorthodox story structure. I promise you won't regret it.

    Graphyc and gameplay are perfect, the level design is eons superior to the first game, the history is very difficult to accept, its objectively a well written history, but its not made to make anybody happy, the game does not try to give any satisfaction to the player, and thats just a design choice, not a bad thing. the game isnt for everyone, but for me is the best game on the ps4.

I couldnt comprehend the loss of a such a memorable character and the relationship between him and Ellie. I stopped playing about midway in Ellies playtrough.

    I gave this game a try after watching some of Videogamedunkeys youtube videos about this game. I was no longer emotional attached to the loss of Joel and was able to truly appreciate this game for what it is. One of the best games ive ever played.

    If you like me, couldnt finish this game the first time because it was simply too much, too emotional jarring. Give it another try.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is not only about vengeance, its mostly about forgiveness, and how forgiveness is not a favor you do to others, its for you. And if you don't find that beautiful to see so deeply in a video game, then you're not going to enjoy this game story, at all.

    SPOILERS:

    In the beginning I was so angry at Abby, I wanted revenge at any cost, and was so upset, sad, heartbroken with Joel's death. That didn't change along the game, but I just sit there and played, paying attention to every detail as possible specifically how gorgeous and detailed the world that Naughty Dog created for this game is. When Jesse died, I got really upset again, seriously I felt so disrespected by this girl Abby that came out of nowhere and the game just cut to the cutscene where you start to get to know who the **** is this girl that killed my beloved Joel. Did it change my mind about her? No. But I got to know why she planned to kill Joel her entire life, since her dad was murdered by him, and he was the doctor who's gonna maybe save humanity getting the cure out of Ellie. Did it change my mind about Joel's decision? Hell no. Considering that, and that the main point of mid game is to show you both sides, when the game goes to Ellie again, after a freaking terrifying fight where I almost lost my heart thinking Ellie or Dina were going to die too, the game sends you to what was supposed to be a "happy ending" for Ellie, Dina and JJ (their baby). But yeah another scene of Joel layed on the floor, the saddest scene of all game cames out to disturb Ellie, and we see that she can't get that out of her mind, of course totally understandable. Then comes a scene that I found myself super happy because Tommy was alive! But when Tommy got mad at Ellie because she doesn't want to risk her family to pursuit that vengeance, I felt really sad. But anyways, she can't be in peace, she goes on another journey to find Abby and revenge Joel's death. In this part I was actually worried about her and how she was going to lose everyone she loves in exchange for nothing. Because that's the point right? Is killing Abby going to bring Joel back to life? No. That's a hollow you can't actually fill. You have to give time to time. In the end, when Ellie almost left without even fighting Abby, Joel's corpse comes again to her, and she decided one more time that she couldn't let Abby go. But when she's almost drowning her to death, another memorie comes. Her last talk with Joel, in the night before the day he left her life forever. What is cool about this scene, is that we clearly see that Ellie got so upset on Joel, that she maybe could not forgive him, but she would like to try. And that's what matters, as long as she forgives him, she will be with only good memories about him. This is SO hard to think about and fully understand, or worse, to do it (included myself of course). But I found that so beautiful to see in a videogame guys. That's how much she loves him, that vengeance was nothing compared with her love for Joel, and it was not going to bring him back, it was just going to bring more disgrace to her life. Of course she actually learned that in the worst way possible. And the fact that she releases Abby in that moment, for me was the time that she began to truly forgive Joel.    … Expand

    I just finish the game, It was an amazing experience. I love that you can play the both side of their story. Hoping for a third part for some good closure of Ellie's story, I'm now on my second run of the game, trying to hit the platinum trophy.

Мультиплеера в игре нет, что удивило.... Хотя можно всегда и в 1 части поиграть в неё, вспомнить истоки так сказать.     It's a beautiful looking game with a great atmosphere and incredible soundtrack. They did not improve the main mechanics very much, but added enough to keep the combat encounters fresh and engaging. The level design is also a lot better. Every area feels a more open and gives you more choices and opportunities to tackle the enemy encounters.

    TLOU 2 is a game that you need to play with some empathy. They didn't give us the game we wanted, we didn't have the plot we thought we would had, but the message they sent is strong and also really important nowadays.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
