    Truly a human experience. This game is a utter emotional ride. Dark, bleak, depressing, yet very human. Loved the ending as well. No spoilers but if you want a game that can really bring you in emotionally then you need to play it. Naughty dog were able to make a artificial world feel real and believable.

    To be honest TLOU Part 2 does not deserve ten out of ten. But this game cannot critisized that low. Apart from it's story gameplay, visuals, animations, musics are nearly perfect. The game was in the verge of greatness but we the gaming community treated it too harshly. I'm just giving that 10 to get that game to the place it deserves.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. At first I was trying to not get on the hate bandwagon for the game, and at a point in my playthrough I’d have given it a higher score. But after finishing the game, a few things could’ve been done better. Namely, how Abby’s group got ahold of Joel, and the structure of the game. I think they could’ve made him getting captured much more believable, even if it’s just snippets throughout the games flashbacks showing how he’s gotten kinder to strangers, and is quicker to trust them after being sheltered in a community for four years. He was essentially living the high life (or at least the kind you could live in a post-apocalyptic world), and they could’ve highlighted that in certain scenes of the game a lot better.

    The other thing would be to structure the game better, and to make it so you aren’t just hopping around a three day time period and then going in to a flashback during the flashback when you play as Abby. Aside from those major gripes, the games actually very good, story and gameplay-wise, and I don’t know what people are so irrationally angry about.    … Expand

    Esse game simplesmente muda tudo na indústria, em questão a representatividade, roteiro, gráficos e complexidade de todos os locais dos game. Um pouco longo, mas não chega ser um problema pq eh tão lindo cada cenário, simplesmente espetacular. Um jogo que é pra todos menos pros intolerantes

    Amazing game! Really think the opinion of this gane will vary by the person, it is not for everyone, some will hate it, some will love it and some will be in the middle of hate and love. Play the game and find out which one are you. It does have some writing issues, but it's still enjoyable and great nonetheless

    Terminei o jogo hoje de madrugada, 40 horas de gameplay e terminei o jogo com sentimento de tristeza e impressionado com o que passei nessas longas horas, definitivamente The Last Of Us 2 é um dos jogos mais importantes da história... que te faz pensar sobre algumas situações do mundo real, e que além da história ser muito boa, os gráficos também são ótimos e lindos.

    El sistema de juego me ha gustado mucho, el inventario, la fluidez del menú, la exploración... graficamente es TOP actual en consolas.

    La historia es buena, no lo mismo que el primero, pero es buena, hecha mano de flashbacks jugables. Pero hay algo que hay que reconocer: crear un personaje nuevo y que tenga un impacto tan fuerte en ti, es digno de thanos en su día

It did make a monster out of Ellie by the end, however, I feel like that was necessary for the moment of catharsis. The ending provides a message of hope for characters who have lost everything. It was not an easy playthrough, but then again neither was part one. The game still centred around the beauty of human relationships amidst chaos and ruin. It was brutal and great.… Expand

    Rant: I am disappointed at the false hate on the game. Just because Joel died doesn't mean the game is doo doo. Many of these people are babies that saw their favorite youtubers disliking the game and hate comments from other babies and assume to hate too. The worst part is most of these dummies didn't even watch or play the game which is absolutely immature. Imagine working years on a game your insanely proud of just to be hated on and called crap because of your bosses belief or a character dying. Btw the story was phenomenal and I actually liked Abby's character. People only hate the game because they are FORCED to hate the game. If people even speak their mind they are shamed or yelled at which is ridiculous by babies who haven't played the damn game. I also played the game blind and didnt watch any leaks or spoilers which is why I enjoyed it so much.Also, dunkey is a godamn champ for being true to what he thought about the game and speaking facts.     I had the true pleasure of just beating the Last of Us 2. I am giving this game a 10, because I truly feel that it deserves it. I am not trying to combat the 0s although a lot of those seems to be more based off the leaks than the actual game. Well let me tell you, for someone that found out about a few of the leaks before the game came out, the game delivered for me, and then some. II had the true pleasure of just beating the Last of Us 2. I am giving this game a 10, because I truly feel that it deserves it. Well let me tell you, for someone that found out about a few of the leaks before the game came out, the game delivered for me, and then some. I won’t lie this game took me longer because it could be emotionally Daunting at times. It was brutal, depressing, complicated. Many times I would say, “Don’t do it, Ellie.” But you understood why, and can I say the ending really helps recapture why. This game is truly what a good sequel should do. Keep us familiar with the world while adding a deeper dive into the characters. Let me talk about my gripe first because it is nit picky: But The gun customization, while I loved all the new things they did with it, the animation took awhile to get through. Don’t get me wrong it was cool to see, but after a few times I was ready to get back to the action. With Ellie we got that, we got see her grow from hopefully being this goofy kid, to a competent adult wishing her father figure trusted her more. Especially with how he lied to her at the end o of the last game. (Which they handle so well in the sequel). This game you truly see what it means to become obsessed with one mission and to see it through until the end. Which by the way I get why she was doing it in the first place, but the last scene at the end of the game made it even more painful. (Well dons Dogs!) Ellie’s gameplay was a blast, having her trusty switchblade with her was always fantastic!

    I also really enjoyed what they did with Abby’s character. They took someone you hate when you first meet her, and then they break her down and you see how she ticks and by the end you see how much she has grown. The last fight *chef’s kiss* also Abby got that dope Boss Battle in the basement of the Hospital. I loved it! All in all the narrative was impressive, and as much of a risk as it was Naughty Dog swung for the fences and hit the ball out of the park. While this game does get so dark and brutal and depressing they give you wonderfully tender moments, Dina and Ellie, Abby and Owen, Ellie and Joel, Abby and Lev (friggin love Lev!) and so many others (special shout out to the ladies man Manny!) they also give you some fantastic flashbacks. The one for Ellie’s birthday brought a tear to my eye. Also the way the guitar was incorporated into the game beautifully done.

    The score sublime, the art perfect, and the new customizables were great! All of the acting was top notch, Ellie still may be my favorite character from the series but Abby, Lev and Dina fought there way into my hawser.

    This game had me hook line and sinker. It was an unexpected but wonderful sequel that after some time to ponder my existence as a human I will have to play again to grab the collectibles.

On one side Joel goes from being a jaded smuggler to a loving father figure and he also goes from being the smuggler to being a slaughter of innocence. The first game sets us up in the second game has to start in that place and live through it.
    After finishing the game and thinking back to the beginning of starting in Jackson and even going to Seattle day one feels like forever ago and it has to. Like no other this game uses narrative and gameplay together to connect the player to the character in this incredible link that is one of the biggest feats of storytelling in recent memory. When Joel died I felt just as Ellie did, when Ellie killed Nora I was visibly shaken like Ellie was, finally when the fight occurred between Abby and Ellie I was exhausted and done with all of it. This was always the mission of the first game to connect the player in the characters in a way that wasn’t possible through any other medium. This game takes everything that the first had in the rule that was set out that was if nothing else write honestly everything has to feel honest there’s no fan service there are no moments that we as the player are given everything and finally satisfied because that would feel wrong. The story is there only to be told, And it is only told because it has to be.    … Expand

    I love the the music, the graphics, and the story is amazing. Like, really. A game not only about hatred and vengeance, but also forgiveness and reflection. It toys with your emotions but you have to try and see the other side of things, and it makes you feel what it’s really like to live in the world of The Last of Us. Brilliant game.

    Played it twice now and 100% the game so I didn’t miss anything. The last of us was one of my favourite games of all time. Now the sequel is too. It made me upset. Angry, relieved, scream, confused, uncomfortable. Amazing game

    This game, this interactive movie, is blood-sweat-and-tears. It is a complete game. No dlc needed but I wouldn't complain if there was. The graphics are beautiful. The acting, the expressions, the drama. I have not played a game this good. That's why 10/10.

    Este juego te llena de todo tipo de emociones, desde muy negativas al inicio, negativas positivas y pareciera que es un bucle, pero lo importante es que si bien analizando las distintas partes que componen la historia, hay cosas que parecen ser muy forzadas, al final gastas cerca de 30 horas de juego para por lo menos en mi caso quedar satisfecho con un gran final, aunque se volvió muyEste juego te llena de todo tipo de emociones, desde muy negativas al inicio, negativas positivas y pareciera que es un bucle, pero lo importante es que si bien analizando las distintas partes que componen la historia, hay cosas que parecen ser muy forzadas, al final gastas cerca de 30 horas de juego para por lo menos en mi caso quedar satisfecho con un gran final, aunque se volvió muy hipocrita la forma en que manejaron al personaje de Abby, fue lo que menos me gustó, te hacen odiar al personaje, después te quieren hacer que entiendas al personaje y al final que la "quieras" pero eso no se puede, menos por sus supuestos principios que defiende, para que al final termine haciendo lo mismo.… Expand

    The game has mixed emotions, I pretty much expected this to happen. People would either totally hate the game or praise it as a masterpiece. I, myself loved the game, the gameplay was great, just like the previous one. The story though, didn't start off as strong as the first part, but ended on a great note.

    I will try explain to you without spoilers why people dislike this game. If you played the first game you got the story of two cerecters but in the game you got many of them that dont get so many time tounderstand them + there is something in the game that people that can not take other points of vision of situation can not accept so if you one of them i highly recomend to dont play in that and forget about this existence. But many people say its the game of the year but this game have many problems so if you can deal with them i can recomend the game to you.

    1.there are many cherecters and no one have enaph time to understand the cherecters even Ellie.

    2.the game only intresting on the hardest mode abd there no hints from the game for people to know that.

    3.there are many sitiations that less than 30 secends that it happend its give you a hint for ehat will happend and it distroyed the surprise.
    Example:in one situaition you will fall in to the floor but while you go there there is lightening ao you see there is a room under you.(this is the best explein withoit spoilers sorry).

    Fainaly i want to say its a good game but this is not what we want for part 2 so if you dont afraid to get med from something that you dont agree you you can try this game and may be you will get good expirians .

Most people wrote negative reviews just because of the story but that's so dumb. Everything was spectacular in my opinion. We could've played less with Abby, but that was again one of Neil's tricks.     Great game! In parts you don't want to play it. (Understandably) But that's the idea. If you finish the story and still want to give it a 0-3 I don't understand. But IMO it's another great game by Naughty Dog

    Although I am not sure I prefer it over the original they are both masterpieces in their own right. The gameplay has been greatly improved, and the story is different than the first one but incredible nevertheless.

    Amazing and mindblowing. This game is entertaining and heartbreaking, technically and graphically sublime. It portrays themes, rolemodels and subjects that are long overdue in videogames. I have never felt so conflicted about revenge and reflected on pain like during and after playing tlou 2.

    Not sure what all the negative publicity is about. In keeping with the original, just improved game play and graphics. The most edge of seat, heart in mouth, scared sh1tless I've ever been. Not done yet, but so far, the best game since the first one. And the only game that gets one so emotionally entrenched.

    What an amazing game, well worth the wait. Was a complete emotional rollercoaster, don't know how many times I cried throughout the game. I just need to know what happens to Ellie, as the ending totally broke my heart

    The game is really good. The gameplay, graphics, character development, etc. are great. The story may take some risks, but it's still great. Many people hate that it captures a different theme than the previous game, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad. Overall, I think Naughty Dog did a great job of making players invested in the story

    Incredible graphics, seamless cut scenes, great acting and some really scary zombie encounters make this an excellent game.

    What elevates it to an amazing game is the way it challenges you as the player in having to play the game from your enemy's perspective. The only downside is the repetitive nature of the scavenging but that is a minor grumble in what may be the best game I've ever played. Epic    … Expand

So much that I did a 10-13 hour marathon to finish the last half of the game in one go because I was so invested and wanted to see it clear through until the end. I don't feel like I played the same game that everyone else seems to be complaining about. It has some of the most natural LGBT representation I've seen in a video game, which is refreshing. Some people think that the theme of revenge is a little too intense, and I can understand that. It's a very emotionally draining game, and if not in the right mindset, you might not be prepared to play it and have FUN with it. But I did. The first 20-24 hours of the game were meant for me. I enjoyed almost everything it had to offer and I'm currently working on my second playthrough. Please play the game yourself, or watch a playthrough from someone who hasn't already made up their mind before playing it.… Expand

The storytelling and character development is insane. People are mad because [spoiler] ..... Joel dies, and that's why it's getting rated so poorly. The story between Ellie and Abby is that they are two sides of the same coin. If we played the first game as Abby's story and now in the second game Ellie came along and killed her dad, we would have had the exact same reaction. The story is visually beautiful as it is in performance and in storytelling. It is so raw and real because this is a post apocalyptic wasteland and having Joel die is a possibility that could happen in a real scenario. Having the expectation that it was still going to keep to that father daughter trope would have been tiring and childish in that Ellie was growing up and evidently distancing herself a bit from Joel. It was heartbreaking how the revenge story was played out and so raw in emotion that it shows Ellie's development as a person as she grapples with reality. Truly an excellent game.… Expand

    All i want to say is don't listen to all these haters, play the game by yourself and decide it, i bet you will love it and it is the best a gamer can get. For me it is a 10/10 game.

    I was mad when Joel’s die like everyone but after knowing Abby story all make sense, Joel kill her father Jerry Anderson the doctor that could’ve made the cure there is no good or evil in this story. I really enjoy the story and I think u did a good job on this game (naughty dog)    … Expand
