    Gran historia, con un amargo sabor pero que no deja de alejarnos lo que podría pasar en la vida real, un juego no siempre debe tener muchas fantasía o el protagonista suerte infinita al final se trata de ser realista y transmitir una historia.

This game is not only an amazing continuation to LoU Part 1, but it's an achievement that takes the torch from Part 1 and continues to bring adult narratives and themes and REAL FEELINGS into the gaming industry. If you don't read any farther, this game is ART and will make you FEEL THINGS and it's amazing to feel EVERYTHING they put into it - you're supposed to be conflicted...you're SUPPOSED to be affected. Let it happen. This is a trend I'm seeing more and more in mature-rated games and a trend I'm here for. 10/10 HAVE, and WILL, play again and again. For more specific thoughts, read on.

    The gameplay feels comfortable and familiar, but the tweaks they made to ramp up the AI and how you can now fight them were ABSOLUTELY NEEDED! The dodge mechanic alone saved my life more than anything, but the combat differences between characters were such a good touch. Not only are you playing different people, it FEELS like you're playing different people. I tend to play these games the same way because I'm a chicken and get scared easily, but I found myself getting spotted with Ellie and panicking whereas getting spotted as Abby felt like, "fine, you want some?", and that's unique for me. Sneak and stab is my go-to.

    While I know that the narrative is the most controversial part of this game, for me, it was the BEST part of the game. We all fell in love with the characters from Part 1, and to see how their stories progressed and the pain they found after thinking they'd achieved happiness...I was, again, there for it. It's HARD to walk in the shoes of someone that's hurt you...but if you can't find any empathy after the amazing story you participate in...that's a bummer. And maybe a teaching point you should consider learning from.

    If you want to just mash buttons and kill zombies and not have to think too hard or feel feelings (believe me, sometimes this is what I crave), this might not be the game for you. But if you want to conquer feelings of loss and pain and achieve forgiveness and understanding...this is a masterclass I encourage you to take.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm honestly confused by some of the reviews I see here. I feel like they were playing a different game to me.

    - I can understand being upset that you're favourite character died, but we're living in a post Game of Thrones world here, that's just part of the narrative
    - I can understand (at least on a theoretical level) being annoyed that this game was trying to be inclusive, and add more representation to the main characters - although personally I'm happy to see that, I think it's well overdue in video games. However even if that's something you're against, it seems reductive to reduce the entire rating of the story down to a 0/10 based purely on that.
    - Perhaps a more understandable critique for me is the level of violence in the game, though I have the impression most of the negative reviews are from people who were fans of the first game, and that had just as much violence

    Anyway, maybe I should write more about what I experienced, and less about what others experienced. For me this is the most nuanced story I've seen in a video game. I was a huge fan of the first game, but, with all the love in the world, the first game's story is pretty tried. I think I loved the story despite of the worn out clichés, simply because the delivery of the actors was so fantastic.

    The story here is doing something difference. It's good precisely because it's not a one decided good guys against the bad guys story, but rather the sometimes good guys against the sometimes good guys. There were moments in this game that were completely gut wrenching (not just early on in the game, when the main character is killed), but throughout. The ending especially, I've never cried so much at the ending of a game, and that for me is the highest praise I could give a game.

    The gameplay/visuals/music is much the same as the first game, if this were simply the same story as the first game, continuing, I wouldn't have given this such a high score. However the fact that the story is so unbelievably compelling, is what drives me to give it such a high review.    … Expand

Everyone crying about Joel dying in the first 2 hours should honestly stop crying and start looking at the big picture lol. Joel had it coming since he killed a literal whole army just for 1 little girl. No matter how much we all like him, he was in the wrong and his actions had consequences. It also gave Ellie a pretty good revenge story for us to follow (which just gets thrown away in the end like nothing). I also didn't mind the fact that we had around 8 hours of Abby gameplay. I was absolutely determined to scatter that woman in pieces, but playing her and seeing her and Lev's side of the story was actually still really enjoyable and intresting, untill she absolutely annihilated Ellie and her friends which made absolutely no sense to me since she had every single advantage over Abby except raw strenght. Also why did we had to still specifically had to play that part?? That neither made any sense whatsovever. The last 10 minutes of the game were probably the worst 10 minutes out of any game i've ever played. Ellie was 3 seconds away from finally achieving the goal she's been thriving for for a whole year, and because of some dumb 1 millisecond flashback, she just lets her go???? How does that make any sense?? why did she even leave the farm in the first place then?? Why did she even leave JACKSON in the first place??? Its like the flashback told her that Joel wouldn't want her to do this or sum, when that would be the literal opposite. I enjoyed watching everyone die like the **** they were ( especially that stupid mexican who spit on Joel) but how are you going to kill and torture hundreds of people and let the ONLY person you were after go after she killed almost everyone you cared about and annihilated you TWICE? Nothing, and absolutely nothing made sense in the last 2 chapters. I could probably point out a lot more about it, but im not going to.

    The positives of this game are the absolutely stunning graphics (def the best graphics ive ever seen for a game), the story itself, the main protagonist and main antagonist and the fun and improved gameplay. This game was better than TLOU in every single aspect except ending. I've never raged so much in a game while still enjoying it the best way i could. I also liked how the game just liked to toy with your feelings with killing Joel in the beginning and throwing those flashbacks at us. It just made you feel so much in the moment and makes you feel like you're an actual character experiencing whatever feelings Ellie is experiencing, no other game has ever done that in my opinion. It also just strengthed our motive to kill Abby and her friends .Overall i would still say that this game is an absolute masterpiece and still one of the best games ive ever played regarding the ending    … Expand

I haven’t picked up a controller since 2016, and have been busy with life so I thankfully missed all the hateful discourse surrounding this game. I did however overhear a couple of people at work mention something about Joel dying when the leaks came out and while I did find it sad, I was only mildly intrigued. I mean, it didn’t take a lot to arrive at the conclusion that someone from the first game must have killed him, and I guessed that it would be someone from the Fireflies. I was surprisingly close, too. I love TLOU, I love Joel and Ellie’s bond, although I am perhaps one of the few people who was very disappointed at his actions at the end, although I did understand why he did what he did. I wish his character hadn’t been written to end up being in theory, evil, because that meant the recovery of his “humanity” came at a very, very high cost. Anyway, I digress. I bought a PS4 just so I could play TLOU Remastered - I actually only have 2 other games, Witcher 3 and DA:I). Just as before, I took time from work these past few days just to play TLOU Part II, as I simply don’t have time. The graphics are amazing, MOST of the characters are compelling, but I think the game could have been a tad shorter. Maybe compress Ellie’s arc, and remove the early part of the first day of Abby’s. Because the game is so long, also getting so dark and violent, honestly if it weren’t for Lev, that courageous, unrelentingly kind boy, I wouldn’t have been able to keep playing without taking a break. The narrative does require a little bit of reflection - and I would even recommend some people to take a break after Ellie’s day 3. Take a break. Breathe. Go out for drinks. Hug your mom, dad, siblings, or whoever. Give your partner a kiss. Most people will need it, I’m sure. I am now on my second play through and I am slowly realizing that the story is much, much easier to understand the second time around. It’s as if Joel saying “I’d do it all over again” was some sort of sign. So yeah, this became longer than I had hoped, all I will say is buy the game (or rent it, or borrow a copy from a friend). And please, don’t let some random person, no matter how influential they may be, tell you whether you should play a game or not. It should be up to you. And if you have finished the game with an open mind and still end up not liking it, then that is perfectly fine! There are things that are objectively OK that you’re allowed to subjectively not like. For example, I recognize how a lot of people like MCU movies, Star Wars, etc. but I am just not a fan and while I will probably not rewatch any of those movies, I will also not say that the movies are BAD just because I didn’t like them. Anyway. Get this game. Play it. Meditate on it. You might just end up realizing that all the hate here is eerily one of the things that the game is trying to talk to you about.… Expand

    if you played the games back to back, and didn't have access to the internet, you would be shocked to find the user rating so low. Its some of the best traditional stealth gameplay, and honestly makes PT. 1's gameplay feel very very stale in comparison.

    Mi da fastidio come la gente sia così infantile da non accettare la morte di un personaggio, capisco come sia difficile vedere ucciso il proprio personaggio preferito e poi utilizzare il suo killer, ma la scelta della ND è stata molto coraggiosa, mai fatta prima, e mi è piaciuta.
    La storia di questo gioco è FANTASTICA, è una storia drammatica, è un gioco che riesce a prenderti il cuore e spaccartelo in mille pezzi, per alcuni è un difetto del gioco, ma invece era Lo scopo del gioco ed è stata una scelta fantastica, il gioco varia da momenti molto tristi a momenti dolci ed emozionanti (compleanno di Ellie). Abby è un grandissimo personaggio, è fantastico come il gioco riesce a fartelo odiare a morte, fartelo apprezzare e alla fine fartelo amare. WOW questo gioco è fantastico.

    Finished the game in 45 hours and i couldn't get enough of it i am playing now on the survivor mode and its a blast, its simply one of the best games of all time, i adore the story the animations the graphics the gameplay the sound design and Abby.

    Esse jogo transcendeu o mundo dos games, definitivamente entrou para história!
    O gráfico e o mais lindo que já vi, a jogabilidade e das melhores que ja joguei e a História e das mais dramáticas que testemunhei até até hoje. Esse jogo e Goty!!!

    Days gone and death stranding were both were beautiful and detailed. The last of us 2 is easily on par with these games if not exceeding them. An extensive amount of detail on all the scenery, facial expressions are unreal, interaction with the environment (footsteps on sand and snow, walking through grass) was brilliant including the fire and water.

    Sound:
    From knocking something onto the floor, smashing glass, the ai interactions, shooting, voice acting and many more instances of how the sound in this game was able to capture the real sounds in an environment was stunning.

    Game play:
    Those complaining about the game play being the same as the previous and not improving it has got me baffled. Were they expecting it to become a first person shooter? For there to be magic spells introduced? or what? It's crazy to have a go at the game play because they think every game should be completely different to previous title. Do people go into the next call of duty and get upset when the game play is still the same, of course not, these people are grasping at straws.
    The other issue people have is the supposed repetitiveness (get through enemies/infected to get to a cut scene and repeat). Again this is nonsense. If you break down any game including the first TLOU you can make it sound boring and repetitive. In the first one you either avoid/kill infected and other people and then move to the next part, then repeat until you hit a cut scene then it starts again.... see??? Any first person shooter is kill people, get to a cut scene then repeat for 20 hours, so it is a ridiculous complaint when you are ignoring all the things that ARE involved. So that being said this game has a lot of variety. Heaps of different weapons, riding through live action environments while shooting, driving through environments, stealth scenes, small puzzles, boss fights, exploring and collecting resources, shooting off limbs and blowing up bodies, and the best part of this game is the melee fighting which contains heaps of different combinations of how to kill an enemy in gruesome ways. You can pull faces in a mirror while playing as Ellie which was entertaining. I also recommend playing the game on normal or easy since it will definitely help open up the game so you don't have to stealth kill everyone which enables you to use your weapons and enjoy the melee combat.

    the infamous story:
    Ill address the first issue people have in regards to Joel dying and how he got in that situation. It is definitely believable (no matter what people say). One, he is human and could have just made a mistake but it is clear Joel has mellowed since being with Ellie, they were stuck in a storm with hundreds of infected around and he just saved Abbey's life (it also clear how they bumped into each other. On a flashback she mentioned that she had a lead on Tommy so she was always going to be in the vicinity of Joel). Now he just saved her life and was stuck with very little options since there was a storm and the amount of infected around. Either he stays there and dies or he trusts THE PERSON HE SAVED, so he goes with her. As for them stating their names, they only said their first names and had no reason not to at least say that much because of the circumstance they were in (I'm of the belief that Abbey knew who they were straight away anyway). If Abbey just shot him when his back was turned after being rescued, would the complainers be content since that doesn't hinder joel's "survival character aspects", of course not. They're just pissed that what THEY would do and what the game does is different (ending included).Now him getting killed in such brutal fashion was again understandable, were people expecting him to to get a 21 gun salute and some sort of posh death? come on.... its an apocalyptic world and Abbey just spent 4 years looking for the one who killed her father, destroyed the fireflies and the cure for humanity.

    No agenda: Ellie being a lesbian (clear from dlc so no surprise), only one mention of bigot, Abbey wasn't trans but lev didn't need to be a girl trying to be a boy i'll say that and the sex scenes didn't add anything to the game.

    The revenge story makes total sense as well. Joel protected Ellie like a father so no issues with his actions but there are consequences when you kill innocent people and doom humanity.

    Ending makes total sense and those who say Ellie killed everyone to get to the end, most of the killing was in self defence when trying to get info on abbey.
    Reasons she Didnt kill for:
    1. Realised her and abbey are doing exactly the same thing so they are more alike then she thought.
    2. Even if she killed abbey, Joel will still be gone
    3. Abbey let Ellie live TWICE including DINA when she could have killed her to get even with how Mel died.
    4. Joel actually deserved what he got cause if the roles were switched Ellie would be hunting Joel as well
    5. Forgiving Abby was her way of forgiving Joel    … Expand

I never liked that Joel chose Ellie over the human race so I totally understood Abby's rage but she kept it in check and just killed the guy she wanted to kill. Ellie on the other hand went after anyone and everyone. IMO Ellie was the most bloodthirsty character in the game. My wife and I really liked the story. It was gut wrenching at almost every turn but we got the motivations behind both Ellie and Abby.

    I think Abby's story line was lost on many just because they couldn't get over what she did which, if you ask me, plays right into NaughtyDogs theme. Rather than growing to understand someone and learning to forgive(Ellie even says she understands why Abby did it) some players feel they cannot and just let the cycle of hate fester on within themselves. I for one think people gave this game an unfair chance. It was quite unique from anything I've played in a long time. While it was extremely brutal and gut wrenching at times I think they did their job well. 9 outta 10 from me.    … Expand

I literally cried in the end because I really love Ellie and Joel and it hurts to see what happened to them. Their relationship meant so much to me and now they are just gone… I understand why Joel did what he did in part 1. Ellie was all he had, so he couldn't lost her like he lost Sarah. So he saved her. Killed for that. But you know what? I don't care. Because... I would do exactly the same thing. A little girl was alive. Even if it was just for a few years, she was happy. So for me, it was all worth it.
    I wanted Abby to be dead. But then Ellie would lost herself and I don’t want that for her. Joel wouldn’t want that for her. He always protected her from this cruel world and wanted her to stay that happy sarcastic kid. She gave him a light that he thought was gone forever. She gave that light to me, I learnt to enjoy small things, just to be happy with what I have. Cause one day it may just not be here anymore.
    TLoU showed me how brutal people can be. And how they can change. Once, at the end of the fight, there was one women left unarmed. She begged for mercy. But i killed her. I knew that if I let her live, she would shoot me in the back. Just one death of hundreds, but it really got me. It felt real. Like I really killed someone. At that moment I realised that people in that world don’t always want to be cruel. It’s like “kill or be killed”, you just don’t really have a choice. I will never forgive Abby, but I understand why she did what she did. So as I understand Ellie. She couldn’t let it go. She knew that everything is gone too far, but just couldn’t stop. And I’m happy that, eventually, she could.
    This is amazing game. I’ve never experienced anything like that. After part 2 I replayed the first game and all those moments with Joel, every their dialogue, it felt so nice seeing them together again, but also sad, cause I know how it’s gonna end…These games taught me to appreciate life and see the light even if I feel lost and empty in this **** dark around.     The reviews are misleading. I get it. It's different. The storyline is haunting. So compelling and you cannot miss it just because some haters didn't get what they expected. Kudos to Naughty Dog for being so brave. I won't spoil anything. You just have to play it yourself. I've never played a game so immersive. Totally worth it.

Excellent gameplay, audio, lighting, environment, story, soundtrack, etc. Was very angry in the beginning (which the game does to you intentionally), and then my emotions constantly switched between depression, sadness, anger, and happiness throughout.     Naughty Dog's most polarizing game yet was a real roller-coaster of emotions for me.
    As is expected from this company, the game looks stunning and is immaculately polished. The gameplay feels smooth and adds a few layers to what we saw in the first game, but still sticks to its structure of "Find your way from point A to point B while dealing with enemies and gathering resources" with a few storyline sections sprinkled in with objects to interact with and snippets of conversations to have with your companions. They also took the lessons they learned from "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" and added quite a few large open areas to explore filled with loads of optional collectibles, puzzles and story tidbits. Funnily enough, the game also has set pieces on par with the Uncharted series, despite this game's subtler storytelling.

    Speaking of which... One of the best elements of Naughty Dog's games are their stories, and The Last of Us had their best story to date. In Part 2 the team made some very risky choices which clearly haven't gone down well with many fans.
    The game's main theme is the endless cycle of violence the main characters find themselves in and how hard it is for them to break out of. Sadly, this is obvious from very early on in the game, meaning at least the first half of the plot becomes extremely predictable (and at some specific moments, strangely anticlimactic). Then the game throws a twist at us clearly meant to make us empathise with a particular character, and though at first it felt jarring, they did eventually manage to sell me on the idea.
    It's a strange feeling, knowing that your characters are making bad decisions and forcing you to go along with them, knowing the best thing you could do for these people is to stop playing. Mashing the "attack" button and thinking "I don't want to do this... Stop making me do this." It's a feeling few games have given me and yet this game took it to the limit. Is that good? It didn't feel good. Maybe that was the point, but if so... is it an experience I want to have? As the credits rolled I was satisfied with how the story played out overall, but I did feel conflicted in many ways. It was probably a few hours too long and could've done with some additional editing. The gameplay loop also became repetitive hours before it was done. That being said, I applaud Naughty Dog for taking risks, even if they didn't all work out too well.    … Expand

    Игры типа TLOU2 - уже даже не игры, а фактически игровые фильмы, т.к. на видео вставки приходится чуть ли не половина "игры", тем самым такие вещи, как геймплей уходят на второй план, а на первое выходит сюжет, и графика. Начнем с простого - графика. Она бесподобна - модели персонажей невероятно реалистичны, виды города завораживают, детальность с которой оформлены здания в игре поражает. Играешь в игру, а кажется как будто смотришь кино - настолько всё реалистично. Великолепные закаты, очень реальный дождь. Когда прячешься под дождем в траве от врага, который идет в двух шагах от тебя прям сердце замирает, чтобы только он не посмотрел в твою сторону. 10-10

    Теперь самое сложное и противоречивое - сюжет. Как я уже сказал, в играх такого характера сюжет - история - занимает центральное место, и если он написан криво, то игра будет провалом. Первая часть рассказывала нам трогательную историю развития отношений взрослой девочки и сурового мужчины в жестоком постапокалиптическом мире. Ну кто, пройдя игру, не влюбился в отважную Элли и мужественного Джоэла? От второй части, разумеется ждали не меньше. Но вот девочка выросла, превратившись в девушку. И здесь лежит камень преткновения. Я думаю уже незачем скрывать под спойлером - те, кто будет это читать либо уже играли, либо наслышаны - Элли оказалась, как бы это сказать, нетрадиционной ориентации. Если честно, когда две женщины или девушки целуются при просмотре фильмов определенной категории это как бы возбуждает, ага. Но вот во всех остальных случаях, честно говоря, смущает. Я не мальчик и многое повидал, но вот при том поцелуе в начале игры (кто играл - знает) я себя почувствовал ... как бы это сказать ... неуютно - КРАЙНЕ неуютно. Я это к чему - вот не сходится трогательная история и СЖВшные мотивы. Ну никак не сходится. Хотя с другой стороны - о чем могла бы быть эта история? Опять о Джоеле и Элли? Но Элли выросла, какие у них теперь могут быть отношения? Я не могу себе представить, чтобы Джоэл вновь опекал повзрослевшую Элли. О любви Элли ... как бы это сказать ... гетеросексуальной? Уже заезжено сто раз, получилось бы ещё хуже. И всё таки СЖВшность прям прёт из каждой щели. но всю игру не оставляет ощущение, что вот что-то нам навязывают, какие то взгляды, какие то убеждения, что реально портит всю картину. Несмотря на ложку дегтя в бочке меда мне понравились истории и Элли-Дины и Эбби-Оуэна. Эти истории пересекаются, переплетаются и дополняются вставками из прошлого. 7-8 из 10.    … Expand

    TLOU2 is really more than that, because it takes you on an extreme emotional journey of violence, hate and trauma and you as a player will suffer through it. It’s nothing I would recommend someone with a mental health issue and I would actually like to see a trigger warning for the game. The reason why I’m almost disappointed by the very negative reviews is, that most of these people really don’t understand, what they are actually feeling. They do not understand, that this game made them feel so utterly furious and heartbroken, that they couldn’t cope with it. And instead of embracing a game so powerful, that it creates real world emotional pain, they try to marginalise it. I think it is even understandable, that people hate something, that is masterfully designed to make you feel so much sorrow and pain, but this is also, what makes it so exceptional.

    There is only once in a while a piece of art, that is as strong, bold and intense as TLOU2 and I don’t want people to miss it, because of immaturity.    … Expand

    The two issues I have story-wise do relate to some of the decisions made. For me, what makes The Last of Us different from usual survival horror/apocalypse type games is that relationship between Joel and Ellie. The Last of Us IS that relationship more than the world itself and is at the very core of what makes the first game special. If you remove one of those elements then you risk falling back in to just another game, albeit a high level one.

    The second issue is the trope of revenge. While naturally you would expect the people closest to Joel to want redemption, the game prides itself on being grounded and it would be hard to accept that in real life, in such a horrendous world, you would leave the sanctity of Jackson to travel hundreds of miles in to an absolute fortress to try and find one person. It’s not a dealbreaker but it does take away from that grounded atmosphere it tries to create.

    That being said, I’m more than happy to be an observer of Druckmann’s story, given that he is the creator, much like I would he reading any novel. I admire the fact that they didn’t rest on their laurels and pay loads of fan service to the game, purely to please the (seemingly aggressive) dedicated fan base to this franchise. I want to play a linear story game to be told a story, not to cross off a checklist of things I wanted to see in the game. Generation defining game, not quite at the level of the first game, but the expectations for this sequel were so high that was always going to be a challenge.

    It’s a shame that there is an ever present immature streak among a lot of gamers that can’t be objective enough to form an opinion on this game without jumping on a bandwagon.    … Expand

    I cried, I laughed, I cried some more. Fantastic experience start to finish. Even being spoiled 2 months prior to release it didn’t ruin my experience. Story and gameplay are all S tier. Highly recommend if you were a fan of the first game.

    The best game I’ve played in a long time. Everything from the atmosphere, the gameplay and the characters.

    Naughty dog has once again managed to create story that is far from black and white while being so captivating that you feel for the characters and their choices every step of the way.     Love the gameplay and story! Enjoyed the graphics, almost couldn’t believe it was not real. Had my jaw on the ground, along with the story, ND was bold with this and for me it worked.

    Too many people have jumped on the hate bandwagon, and not enough people have stopped and formed their own genuine opinions. Not everyone will like this game, and if you are completely opposed to change, you probably won't either. The story is heartfelt and touching, the gameplay is fantastic, and the visuals are stunning.     The last of us part 2 doesn’t hold when it comes to story or gameplay or graphics and visuals it gives a shock from the beginning and let you go as you feel the shock going and coming back

    Espectacular es un juego para adultos y no para todos los gustos, hay que verlo desde una parte critica en que cuanto mas avanzas en el mundo post-apocaliptico desde el 1 con las decisiones que tomaron los protagonistas es normal encontrarse con todas las situaciones que ocurren en el 2, son duras

    No está de más mencionar por su puesto la excelente calidad gráfica del juego, la estupenda banda sonora y las nuevas dinámicas del gameplay que hacen que el juego se haga más entretenido que su predecesor.
    Si quieres un juego entretenido que al final sólo te divierta sin causarte ningún conflicto emocional, definitivamente este no es un juego para ti. Pero si quieres un juego entretenido, que te emocione (emociones buenas y malas ) y que al terminarlo te invite a reflexionar sobre la historia que acabas de ver, entonces definitivamente este juego es una buena opción.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
