The premise if that you’re some sort of doctor trying to find a cure for your ill daughter and have been performing all sorts of weird experiments to find a cure for her. This is played out as a series of flashbacks whilst you explore the aftermath of these events by solving many puzzles that gradually unlock 5 rooms. One of the immediate cringe worthy elements that shows itself all too often throughout this game is appalling voice overs from the various characters, the dialogue seems to have been recorded without any context given to the actors reading the lines and without any narrative to the points being made results of characters speaking is hilariously bad! Sentences don’t flow and natural pauses and emphasis on words is all over the place. Then there’s the voice of the child that you’re meant to feel compassionate about - this voice has been dubbed by an adult Korean woman pretending to be a 5 year old American child. . . . . So BAD that I couldn’t help myself but shout “Shut Up !”

Ok, enough of the stuff that doesn’t really matter, what is the real problem with the game and game play in VR ? Ok , here we go:

    1. Movement in the rooms is restricted to warping to the few limited places that at available - in the case of the first room, no warping so just looking around you from one standing position.

    2. Massive inconsistency between the difficulty of the puzzles you need to solve in order to advance through the game. Most of the tasks are quite straight forward, scanning the objects around you and picking up things that are useful for certain tasks or give clues as to how to solve other tasks etc All good and often very quite predictable BUT ! Almost all of the levels have some sort of key code or combination lock that needs to be opened and in quite a few cases the answers to the ‘riddles’ are SO difficult that I’d dare anyone to solve them without resorting to walkthrough videos. One of these puzzles later in the game require the player to construct an alphabetic code with numbers for each letter of the alphabet based on six given examples - the only way to solve this would be to sit down with a sheet of paper and pen and have experience in code breaking AND solve this whilst not playing the game but by sitting at a table and trying to solve the pattern. . . . . So NOT SOLVABLE WhILst playiNg The GAMe ! ?

    3. Whilst there is some minor fun to be had from this game (not much tho !) the playthrough time is not long and the game isn’t dry big but the price is totally out of line with what you get - should be £5 game not a £25 game

Avoid unless you really want a laugh at the horrendous voice overs or have OCD about owning the worst VR games on the PS4 !
