    I might be too picky but this game has its good moments and its AWFUL moments.

    The good: - Some of the questions are actually pretty well thought of. (Most trivia games have the same old questions with just different wording) this one does some new and exciting ones. - There's lots of questions (i've not had a repeat yet but haven't played enough of it probably...) - Has trophies!     Bad:
    - The host is very creepy looking
    - Graphics aren't good at all...
    - The round where you have to hit the person's name (as names faded in and out) that is the answer to the question is a terrible game, IMO.    … Expand

    An Average game with lots of problems. The host is just abysmal and the graphics are god awful. On the other end the gameplay is very fun but it won't last very long. There are quite a bit of topics to chose but not enough game options and only 4 rounds in the actual game. You can play the game in local multiplayer which I haven't tried yet but overall not a bad game but I wouldn'tAn Average game with lots of problems.     When you look past the graphics (the credits show such a small team, well more like a duo) the game is quite fun and challenging! its fun, quirky and entertaining. A very solid game, especially for $9.99. I would def rec playing with friends, it gets quite intense and addictive. We stayed up all night playing it and I was surprised at how much fun we got out of this game!     This is really addictive! Also, I enjoy the art style (for sure its a bit simple, but it has character). If you like Quiz/Trivia games, give it a try. Support independent Art!

    Very Addictive game play, couldn't stop playing. I like the question variety. The last round gives me a chance to beat my wife who is the trivia master. Well worth the price I paid for a fun evening at home. Will definitely play again.

That Trivia Game is the PS4′s first foray into the trivia genre and it does so at the very reasonable $9.99 price.

That Trivia Game is the PS4′s first foray into the trivia genre and it does so at the very reasonable $9.99 price.

    When it comes to trivia games, the primary concern is that there won’t be enough questions to avoid regulary repeating questions. On this front, That Trivia Game passed with flying colors. Throughout all my playthroughs, I never once saw a repeated question. Nothing makes a newcomer to a trivia game feel as disadvantaged as realizing that the people you are playing against have already memorized the answers from previous playthroughs. With numerous categories for players to choose from each round you would have to play for a very long time to get to the point where you had played through the games over 1,000 questions. The questions are up to date, with Game of Thrones even getting a nod, and nicely walk that balance between being too easy and insanely obscure. The average person should be able to get most of the questions right, but still get stumped occasionally.

    The game allows you to choose between four characters to play as, with multiple colored outfits for each one. You also get to choose your buzzer sound, which is very reminiscent of Buzz Quiz TV’s startup options. The action takes place over four rounds with different game types for each. They are all pretty standard fare, but the ability to choose a category provides some much needed variety. The game could have benefited from the option to play a short or a long game mode as the four rounds seems a bit short most of the time.

    The game’s announcer manages to avoid becoming annoying in spite of some repetitious phrases. He even manages to get the occasional laugh with an out of the blue funny comment. I wouldn’t consider him a high point of the game but I have experienced much worse trivia announcers from similar offerings on the PS3.

    My major gripe with the game is the complete lack of online multiplayer. While it is probably more fun to play with friends and family on your couch anyway, that doesn’t help much when you are home alone. The game’s computer opponent does do an admirable job of rubber banding to stay within your score range without being frustratingly hard to beat, but it still would have been nice to be able to play against friends online.

    The games graphics are nothing to write home about; as is typical of the trivia genre. There was one major graphical decision that I found particularly annoying as I was playing though. Before each round, the view of the contestants is shown from slightly further away and is intentionally blurry. Your view clears up as it zooms in, but the effect made it seem like there was a problem with the TV rather than that you were just naturally getting a clearer view the closer you got. It only lasts a couple of seconds but it is long enough to be noticeable.

    Ultimately, That Trivia Game succeeds in providing a fun time for you and up to three of your friends at an affordable price. Personally, this is the first game that my wife would play with me on the PS4, so that’s a win in my book. Anytime a game can bring family members together for a good old-fashioned battle of the minds, that is a worthwhile endeavor.    … Expand

    Surprised how many bad reviews this game is getting. I personally don't mind it, however sometimes the AI can be either too smart or too dumb. And the trophies are kinda stupid (one was glitched for a couple of months). It's only like, what $15? I'd say buy it (or wait till there's a sale, though that might take a while).

    This is a pretty bad copycat of the Buzz games on the PS3. The graphics are not worthy of the PS4. It lacks any sort of excitement. The host isn't witty or funny. The only decent aspect is the quality of the questions.

    Truly one of the worst games I have ever played. Maybe my expectations were too high after playing Buzz on the PS3 but this has one game mode, that lasts 5 minutes and after about 3 rounds it is just the same over and over again. The rounds are all relatively boring in my opinion.
    If you love a quiz, and not bothered about an enjoyable experience then this game might be for you. But if    Truly one of the worst games I have ever played.     Probably the best trivia game I have played, and certainly the most addictive. Just keep wanting to play more and more. It's funny, the graphics are good, characters are great, game play is fun, questions are very well sorted and I actually learned a lot of really cool stuff. Great value at $9.95

When you’re playing a game with your children or showing your friends how smart you are it really doesn’t matter how the game looks or how the game sounds, it’s all about if it works and if it is fun to play.

    There are major issues with That Trivia Game; including the game’s audio, visuals and even the single-player experience. Yet, even with all those problems, the main idea behind That Trivia Game,the trivia itself, is sound and well put together.     The core mechanics of the game are pretty solid, but unfortunately That Trivia Game lacks the presentation and the multiplayer required to be enjoyable in the long term.

    A fine recreation of trivia with a real focus on the questions, That Trivia Game is best enjoyed with friends as its limited additional content and modes will struggle to sustain the interest of a lone player.
