    Have you ever wished while playing Borderlands that there was more story and explanation for what was going on on Pandora, Elpis, and Helios? Then Tales from the Borderlands is the game for you! A pure stroke of Telltale genius. They bring in both new and old characters in these five episodes that will leave you wishing that they had gotten to make a sequel.

They bring in both new and old characters in these five episodes that will leave you wishing that they had gotten to make a sequel.

    If you still don't know what a Telltale game, it's not a true game in that you're not off adventuring/shooting/leveling up, etc. It's more of an interactive story. You get to walk around and explore areas at specific moments otherwise you're basically watching a movie and hitting buttons at the right times so you don't die and the story can progress. You also get to choose the dialogue your characters will say to others and thus decide what kind of friendships or animosity you'll create between them. Your choices really do matter.

    This time you switch between two main characters that also sees them interacting together too. I love all the characters in this game. They are so well crafted and I am immediately drawn back into the world of Borderlands but at a far deeper level. I actually care what happens to these characters, whereas in Gearbox’s Borderlands series there wasn’t too much of bonding you with the characters and the story.

    The only real downside is that I feel there should have been another episode between Episodes 4 & 5, before the crap really hits the fan in the last episode. It would have helped flesh out the big choices you made in the previous episodes but especially the choice at the end of Episode 4. It would have brought even more meaning to what happens to your characters.

    I absolutely recommend this game if you've played at least Borderlands 2. It's the only one that's imperative to know before playing Tales as it basically takes up shortly thereafter. Playing Borderlands 1 and Borderlands the Pre-Sequel will give you a bit more info into a couple of characters that pop up but they’re not really necessary. If you can find a fair priced physical copy or the digital version that is available again, then you should do it. You won't regret it.    … Expand

    Gortys sums it up perfectly: A true rollercoaster of emotions! I was incredibly surprised by how much I liked this game. I suppose it helps that I’ve played quite a bit of the Borderlands franchise before (the 3rd one being my least favorite), as there are numerous references to the series, but eitherway it was some time ago that I felt this emotionally invested in a game. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of coursed influenced by my personal opinions.

    (10) Outstanding. A truly elite title that is nearly perfect in every way. This score is given out rarely and indicates a game that cannot be missed.

    Hands down the best interactive game in the genre so if you want to try this genre this is the game you start with. This genre is not for everyone since there is very little gameplay and very focused on narrative. I could never get into the regular Borderlands games but this game did such a good job with world building/explaining the world, I may try the other Borderlands games again. These episodes are fun, funny, and have moving moments that will get you to binge through all five episodes. Telltale usually have bad looking games but this game is beautiful.    … Expand

    Really enjoyable. I wish I could erase the memory of the first time I played this so I could do it again. A good game to play after work when you barely want to move your body.

    amazing comedy hilarious jokes epic action amazing story great characters and great character development great voice actors i love story driven choices matter and change the outcome games one of the reason i love Witcher 3 so much this is hands down of the best telltale games

    I slept on this game for six years because I don't know anything about the Borderlands universe, and therefore, thought that this wouldn't be a game I'd enjoy. I was incredibly mistaken. This game was absolutely phenomenal! This game was non-stop laughs and good times with a few really well done emotional moments sprinkled throughout. This game also boasts stellar characters with a topI slept on this game for six years because I don't know anything about the Borderlands universe, and therefore, thought that this wouldn't be a game I'd enjoy. I was incredibly mistaken. This game was absolutely phenomenal! This game was non-stop laughs and good times with a few really well done emotional moments sprinkled throughout. This game also boasts stellar characters with a top tier voice cast to match, as well as an amazing soundtrack. This is easily one of the best games Telltale ever made.     This is indeed a GREAT tale from the borderlands. This story introduces new characters to the borderlands universe are very interesting and funny. And you get to see some fan favourite characters from Borderlands 2 which is awesome. If you like Borderlands 2 I highly recommend this game. Just remember this game is actually more like a movie you get to make choices in.The ONLY reason to notThis is indeed a GREAT tale from the borderlands.     Funny characters, great writing, wouldn't be out of place as a top film. Think Guardian of the galaxy mixed with Deadpool. Don't get me wrong, it's still more of an interactive film than a game, like all Telltale games, but the stories and your actions having consequences makes it interesting. I find them a nice change of pace, something to relax and unwind to. Something that's great toFunny characters, great writing, wouldn't be out of place as a top film. I haven't actually played a Borderlands game before, I played through this as I enjoy a Telltale game from time to time, and had this one for free from being a playstation plus member. This game now makes me want to check out the latest Borderlans game and play through it! You don't have to have any previous knowledge of the game lore to enjoy this story, I rank it up there as the best Telltale game I've played so far. Top 3 being this, Batman Enemy within that's the second season, the walking dead season 1. If you enjoy a Telltale game you must play this one!… Expand

Ha tutto: la grafica stile fumetto (richiama quella di TWAU), la storia di alcuni fuggiaschi che devono risolvere un grosso problema, armi e battute simpatiche. Ovviamente, essendo un Telltale game, il giocatore ha la possibilità di prendere delle decisioni, anche se queste non sono così terribili come in altri giochi del genere.

    Pros: - One of the few games I've ever laughed out loud at some of the writing - Uses the Borderlands licence well without feeling like a crutch, letting their own characters stand out as well as normal fan favourites - I've played quite a few Telltale games and this is the best one I've experienced -    A hilarious and well told story that captures the pinnacle of Telltale games. 9/10

    Pros:
    - One of the few games I've ever laughed out loud at some of the writing
    - Uses the Borderlands licence well without feeling like a crutch, letting their own characters stand out as well as normal fan favourites
    - I've played quite a few Telltale games and this is the best one I've experienced

    - Telltale games can feel a bit samey and this is no different, but the story helps it stand out

    I can't decide whether this is my Favorite Telltale game, or the wolf among us, but this game hits all the right spots, and is a blast from start to finish, sad to see Telltale go bankrupt but at least they left a legacy of games that people will enjoy for generations.

    The title is fun from start to finish. At first, the story drags, but by the end of the 1st chapter, it hooks you in. The story is funny and the characters get more and more likable as it continues, despite there being a few predictable moments in the story.     Nice Telltale game but not something that set my world on fire. At the very least, the cartoonish style of Borderlands lends itself well to the woefully outdated engine used by Telltale. At best, this is one of the funniest games in recent years. Overall a good package but not quite the must have I kept hearing it would be.

    As a story based game, this game is dependent on the story. The overall plot is a good one. Just when it seemed that the protagonists were habitually getting captured, the series makes a 180 degree turn and goes full on action. The game has some genuinely funny moments but they were spread far too thin for me to praise this game for its humor. The writing could have been more absurdist. As far as the branching storyline goes, there only a few options to change the story and no big choices such as who to save. In the end, I found myself agreeing with other players in the 90% range most of the time. Contrast this to a game like Life Is Strange where the "good" ending is only a few percentage points over the "bade" ending.

    The controls for the action portions of the game are mostly fine and I found myself making only two unintentional choices because I took too long or hit the wrong button. Generally, I would have preferred slower paced decision making game. This isn't an action game and I would rather enjoy the story than have the controller ready in case the conversation ended with a quick-time event. Maybe Telltale thought they should amp up the action because this game is based on a first person shooter franchise.

    As I noted above, the choices did not seem to matter much. One surprise, however, was that only 17% of players unlocked ClapTrap. I think if they had known this was an option, they would have picked ClapTrap for the humor factor. I imagine their games were less fun in the end. Mostly, though, the decision is whether to make snarky comments or whether to make douchey comments. Having played The Walking Dead season 1, this choices seemed very limited. Maybe I'll give the game another playthrough some day, when I've forgotten much of it and the jokes will be fresh again.

    My interest in Telltale games had dwindled a lot because the walking dead season 2 and GoT not nearly approached the impact that twd season 1 had on me. I was even actively annoyed by GoT for lacking any satisfaction storywise. So I was happily surprised that tales from the borderlands is a fun ride with interesting characters and nice humor (if you like the absurd borderlands humor).My interest in Telltale games had dwindled a lot because the walking dead season 2 and GoT not nearly approached the impact that twd season 1 had on me. I was even actively annoyed by GoT for lacking any satisfaction storywise. So I was happily surprised that tales from the borderlands is a fun ride with interesting characters and nice humor (if you like the absurd borderlands humor). Special mention for the incredible musical opening credits that open each episode. They made me laugh and get more invested in the story at the same time.… Expand

    Nemico assolutamente valido e caratterizzato bene, originale ed atipico.
    Uniche pecche nel gameplay, spesso monotono o poco avvincente, ma il punto forte del gioco non è certo quello.

    I love this game. It is, by far, the best Telltale has to offer, in my experience. I have also played through The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. I enjoyed all of them, but Tales from the Borderlands blows the rest away. It is very well written, and the characters are great, fitting in perfectly with what we have come to expect from anything Borderlands. It is bothI love this game. It is, by far, the best Telltale has to offer, in my experience. I have also played through The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. I enjoyed all of them, but Tales from the Borderlands blows the rest away. It is very well written, and the characters are great, fitting in perfectly with what we have come to expect from anything Borderlands. It is both charming and hilarious.… Expand
