    They love being stroked as much as anything else, whether they can actually feel it is still up for debate. Don't let that stop you though!

    I stroked the tortoise...I stroked and stroked again! The tortoise did nothing! It didn't change! It didn't move! It just sat there! So II stroked the tortoise...I stroked and stroked again!
