Without going into any spoilers, the story itself is something that just rambles on, jumping randomly backwards and forwards from strand to strand, it comes across as something a fan would have written on their 2-week holiday, not something a team of highly-paid professionals took 7 months to complete.
In terms of presentation, the graphics are similar to those in-game, so there are glitches and clipping all over the place, bad lighting, etc. The voice acting of the lines also leaves something to be desired, and is not on a par even with something like Resi, FF or MGS, nevermind a Hollywood film.
On the plus side, you get to play rounds with all 6 of the DLC characters (eg Balrog, Urien). On the downside, each fight is just a single round, and more importantly, the AI opponents don't really put up any opposition until 2 or 3 fights form the end. By this, I mean you can win them by using buttons only, and not using your left hand.
The whole thing takes about 2-3 hours, and what disappoints me is that there's nothing here that makes the game any better. There's no Team Battle, no Dramatic Battle, nothing that stands out.
if you want a story, check out some of the Japanese anime movies. If you don't want story because you find it gets in the way, then you'll be left wondering what they spent to much money on this for, and why they couldn't have just added a simple Arcade Mode instead.… Expand
