Steep would of rated higher if the controls were more fluid. The way you spin, then grab or flip just feels off. Graphically the game is great. Good try.

Steep is a game about skiing and free flying. The game-play is somewhat similar to the Trials games and Pilotwings, in that it mostly consists of challenges to complete. The game-play is somewhat similar to the Trials games and Pilotwings, in that it mostly consists of challenges to complete. However there is a little bit more to this game, it has elements of exploration and 2 rather large areas to play in. The best part of the game is probably it's graphics which are stunning and the complete absence of loading apart from the initial loading of the map. Any change in position of your character on the map is almost instant.

Some other positives first, I like the somewhat "realistic" elements to skiing and snowboarding in that you really have to manage your speed and energy especially when the terrain is steep.
The controls for skiing and snowboarding works great, it's easy to learn but hard to master (Skiing and snowboarding are identical from a game-play and control-scheme perspective).
Other than snowboarding and skiing two free flying sports are available wing-suit-flying and paragliding. Wing-suit-flying is in my opinion the most fun and challenging part of the game with some truly brutal lines to complete. The controls for the wing-suit work well although I wish it didn't tend to nosedive so much when you release the stick to a neutral position.

And now we come to the PARAGLIDING part. Paragliding is a sport I do in real life, and I was really hoping that a dev-team based in Annecy (The paragliding Mecca of the world) would do this sport justice. But sadly NO. Paragliding is a very exiting and challenging sport in real life, but in the game sadly NO. I'm now gonna tell you what is wrong with the paragliding part of the game. When flying in real life you will mainly use two types of rising air to stay in the air longer, one is called a thermal which is a bubble of hot air rising trough the atmosphere (riding a thermal I can only describe as rodeo of the sky, it is extremely exiting). However in the game this type of rising air is absent and this just makes paragliding lacking since this is probably the main type of rising air you will use to fly a paraglider in real life. The other type of rising air is called ridge lift which is modeled in the game. Ridge lift is created on the windward side of a hill or mountain as the wind is forced up and over the mountain . In the game this is modeled very simplistic, this is how it works in the game. The steeper the terrain and the closer you are flying to it the more lift you will get. But there is no global wind direction or any wind of any kind for that matter, there is just ghost lift the closer you get to steep terrain. A global and changing wind direction would have been great for this part of the game because it would have made paragliding a lot more tactical in that you would have to stay on the windward side of the mountain to get lift instead of getting it just from being close to a cliff.
The controls for paragliding in the game are abysmal and almost as far from the real thing you can get. Sure turning left and right and pulling back on the stick without holding the stunt button down looks ok. When pushing the stick forward the glider dives, this is impossible in real life. Had I designed this game pushing forward on the stick would have activated the speed-bar making you go faster instead of diving in the ugliest and most unrealistic fashion possible. To make a real paraglider point it's nose down you will have to sustain a sharp turn for a few seconds and smile like crazy as the g-forces build up, this is called a spiral dive, and this is impossible in the game (In a spiral dive a force of 4g is quite common). In real life it is possible to do some crazy amazing stunts with a paraglider using the pendulum effect of a paraglider, by alternating left and right brake inputs you can build up the swing under the paraglider so much that it will eventually loop. However in the game this is impossible since the pendulum effect isn't modeled at all.

Conclusion; If you want a game about skiing, this is the best game in the genre that I have played. If you want a wing-suit game this game is one of the best in the genre, however somewhat unrealistic.
If you want a game about flying a paraglider this is NOT it (Try "Paragliding Simulator" by Asynchron.at for android instead, it has a paraglider that responds almost like the real thing.
    I give the game 6/10 because;
    +Graphichs
+Game engine is really fast (almost no loading-time)
    +Fun and interesting ski/snowboard game
    *Ok wing-suit
    -Extremely unrealistic and boring paragliding
-No character progression other than cosmetic upgrades.
-Dev-team is based in Annecy and failed on paragliding, really?

Had the paragliding worked I would probably give the game 8/10

If you want a game that’ll give you a massive world where you can ski to your heart’s content without worrying about catching hypothermia, Steep is right up your alley. But if you’re like me and you only have a passing interest in the game, I’d say watch some YouTube videos or give it a rent before you drop money on it.

You can’t implement a system that is ridiculously precise that doesn’t work consistently at ALL. By doing this you are effectively punishing players at random for something that they cannot control. It is clear that the developers were too lazy to it make it work properly and be consistent, and they couldn’t just remove it or the game wouldn’t make sense; so instead of coming up with a better solution they just left it how it was, a crippled mess. This is just one example of how the developers were clearly much more invested in making something quickly that would make a profit, rather than making something that is fun and will bring people joy. Another example of this is in how much of the content is locked behind DLC paywalls. There is such a laughably small amount of activities to do to begin with that it’s genuinely insulting that to play even a few more of them you are required to buy DLC. The DLC shouldn’t have been DLC, it should have been in the base game to begin with.

This game does have a few positives, like how the graphics can be pretty at times, how there are a few courses here and there that are well made, and how the controls aren’t awfully difficult to learn. Other than that, Steep feels like a game made by a greedy company that very clearly only cares about profits. If it’s on sale for a very cheap price, then it can be a bit of fun for a few hours. Otherwise, don’t waste your money or time on this game...

Being constantly punished by a video game for something that you have little to no control over and that constantly glitches and causes you to fail a good run (the “G Force Meter”) isn’t good for your sanity. Also the fact that you have to be connected to the internet to do challenges is utterly moronic. I can’t even play it for an hour or two to pass the time while I’m waiting for something to download because on PS4, it throttles your download speed to a halt if you are doing anything online.

The story isn't pretentious, or overladen, and the game focuses almost entirely on gameplay. And luckily, the gameplay is extremely addicting and fun. After a brief tutorial, Steep unleashes you into its rather large open world to do as you please. You can free roam or participate in the plethora of challenges (after finding them with your binoculars.) The challenges are, well...challenging. Many will take repeated attempts to conquer and secure a gold medal. The challenges themselves are varied and some have you trekking across the various mountains to reach a single checkpoint any way you see fit, which is a great departure from the races, or point challenges. Some of the challenges can be difficult to master, and will require multiple runs to complete. Luckily, if you crash, or you're just not having a good run, you can immediately start over with a touch of a button. In fact, at any time, you can spawn at any point of interest, or challenges you've found. Later, with enough leveling up, the game gives you access to an unlimited number of free helicopter tickets allowing you to spawn wherever you please on the map. The 4 sports themselves (paragliding, wingsuit, snowboard, skis) are varied enough to keep things fresh and interesting. The sense of speed in Steep is also incredible. Find the right path, and you'll be screaming down the slopes. One aspect that keeps this game from being a complete arcade experience is the G Force meter. Enough clunky landings, or riding on rocks will throw you from your board, or skis. It's a great mechanic that requires the player to get better, and keesp the game a bit grounded. (Pardon the pun) Graphically, Steep is a mixed bag. At times, it's gorgeous, but sometimes the visuals creep into last gen territory. But overall, the game looks fine. And more importantly, aside from lag here and there, it runs very smoothly. There is quite a bit of outfits and equipment to choose from to customize your character too. As a complete package, Steep is a great game that's easy to jump into and have fun, but it takes time to master. And the icing on the cake is that the game allows you to choose from different genres of music that can drastically change the atmosphere of the game. You can 'rock' out while scoring an insane amount of points, or just 'chill' out and cruise down the slopes, or explore the world at a relaxing pace. I imagine Steep is a rather large risk for Ubisoft. I for one, believe it paid off. Steep can be a relaxing, sublime experience, or a white knuckle race to the finish line. You decide. Expand

Apparently, being able to do 4+ sports on a gigantic mountain range where you can wingsuit your way from a hot air balloon and then ski or snowboard down an entire mountain ending up in a village by a frozen lake is not enough anymore.

You also have the ability to dictate time of day and ambiance whenever you like. There is always something to guide you properly to where you need to be, and all challenges are easily accessible both on the mountain map and through menus.

No other game allows this type of freedom in this genre. Hell, this genre is almost gone. It's sad that people do not want to support games like this anymore.

All the while people are online with you, and you can buddy up with other players. Right now I think it's great that you can just ski down the mountain with a random person you just met. I don't get how this game is scoring below an 8 at all. And many do actually agree. At least the people playing the game seem to be enjoying it a lot. There is a decent customer base here too. I hope when the game drops in price more will pick it up.

Let's get to the show: there is a lot to do in this game. A lot of scores to break. I think more or less people should expect this to be like a Driveclub game. It's all about getting better and better with runs. Yet there is a competent story mode and plenty of customization when it comes to character.

Once you start exploring around and getting a few golds the controls become second nature to me. After the last patch it plays like a dream mostly. Wingsuiting has never been done better. Snowboarding and skiing are entirely competent and at times an amazing experience. Especially for the ten minute runs that have you going over so much terrain.

Alaska DLC is coming as a free patch for everyone. Nevermind the fact that most games in the past like SSX3 had one mountain not even as big as the main range here. Yes, I too love SSX. But this is a slightly more realistic version of SSX with not as much flash and a lot more realism. Carving and shredding snow has never felt this good in years.

Honestly, so far this is a ten for me. The game is everything I needed it to be, and more patches, optimization, and fixes will come in the future. For now the game is online only for those that care, but an offline mode will surely be patched in later.

A great concept, and I am a huge fan of snowboarding games, have been since I played games like Cool Boarders and 1080, so trust me when I said that I really wanted to give this game a solid 10.

What we have here is a game that does about as many things wrong as it does right. For example the environments look great and the character animations look really smooth and respond appropriately, the snowboarding and skiing is well represented and easily the reason to get this game, even the wingsuit and paragliding is well done, and as you explore the game you can really get a sense that the developers just wanted you to be able to go out and explore sort of like you would in Skate and just find ideal lines to repeat or new spots.

Now I have played this game a lot, pretty much unlocked most of what there is to unlock, seen what there is to be seen, and progressed through the challenges. It's satisfying for that winter games itch if you are like me and also a big fan of snowboarding games. Thing is it isn't perfect... far from in fact.

To start lets talk about the snowboarding/skiing, pretty much the entire reason to buy this game. Best way to describe it is somewhere between 1080 for the N64 and Skate for the PS3/360. You sort of have that sim/arcade kind of balance that those games had and a lot of the gameplay seems to be inspired by both games. For example it has that same damage mechanic that 1080 had for landing big jumps and going over rough terrain, but here it's a bit different. What they have done here is give you what they call a "G meter." Now this g meter sort of acts like the COD recovery mechanic, where when you take damage you will hear your character react and the screen will start to go black and white until your character finally gives up or recovers after a few seconds of not taking any damage.

Sounds like a good idea right? Well I would have to agree... if it worked right. Problem is it is inconsistent, and inconsistency is a subject that generally rules my disappointment with this game. For example sometimes it will react appropriately, sometimes it seems like it doesn't react at all, and other times it seems hyper sensitive and goes off seemingly at random putting you on the verge of death when you feel like that shouldn't have happened. Now this is a problem that brings down my score in the end as it leads to a lot of frustration due to the ragdoll effects that happen when you exceed the g meter. When this happens you will literally just watch your character flip, flop, and flail around helplessly and without any attempts to regain composure as if they have gone completely unconscious. This would make sense if the character truly did go unconscious, but the problem is that apparently they don't. The game has an entirely different reaction for when you go unconscious, which is when you endure too much punishment for your character to get back up.

This is pretty bad as you will often watch your character flop around helplessly for what can seem like over half a minute at times. It can be pretty funny or entertaining if you aren't trying to do something, but when you are trying to race or need to go somewhere and your character just keeps flopping around it works like an instant death maneuver. For me this has led to a lot of frustration due to the issues with the g meter mentioned earlier, but this isn't the end of what is wrong with the snowboarding skiing, as I still need to get into the controls.

Now the controls are a real mixed bag. The scheme seems simple enough and at the best of times it is, but the problem is that feels terribly inconsistent at times to the point to where you can sometimes feel like you are merely suggesting what you want your character to do as opposed to controlling them directly. For example, take the freestyle trick controls. You use the right trigger to jump, the left analog to spin and flip, but you can only perform your spin and flip actions on the controller after you have jumped, so in other words there is no "pre-load" like you have in games like SSX. This can be fine, but it doesn't always seem to respond correctly. Sometimes you will perform the maneuver you desires, and other times you will watch your character just do nothing at all. That is right, for some reason, if the game decides you didn't move your analog stick in the spin or flip direction you wanted you will just watch your character stubbornly refuse to do anything. This also works for the jumping, which seems like it has a delay. So not only do you need to jump before you think you would, but the game doesn't even seem to allow you to jump at times as it will cancel out or not even register for some weird reason.

Anyways I think that is enough about the snowboarding and skiing. Oh, there is also some wingsuit and paragliding stuff in this game. It's alright, but I wouldn't get the game for it. Serves best as a means for exploration.

I give this game a C+, could be much better as it is

Great game, best snow based game I've played since 1080 on the nintendo 64. The controls take a while to get used to but they are deeper then you first think. Can play solo or hook up with other riders.

No load times, gorgeous mountain, great runs and pure fun.

In short you are basically tasked with strapping on your Snowboard, Ski's, Suiting up in your wingsuit or Paragliding and just tackling any number of in game challenges by yourself or meeting up with others in game, Grouping up and just having fun on the Entirety of the mountain. Some Challenges are locked until you level up, But the entire mountain is open for you to explore. Theres a tutorial of sorts that will show you how to play but after that you are free to go where you want and Do what you want. Switching between sports is a snap and the game encourages you to explore. Where this game totally works for me is that while the game takes a more realistic approach its not overly complex in terms of Physics or control. Doing Tricks is a snap, And you are not Punished for bailing which you will do....Alot. A quick button push will have you start over and off you go to try to perfect that Line. Also very fun is meeting up with others and grouping up to Tackle challenges or just mess around or create your own challenges, Or even watch and share replays. While you can't create your own rider, Theres a ton of unlockable clothing options that you can use to set your character apart. I know I'm leaving out some stuff as I've only played the game for a few Hours but what I have played has me very impressed. If you are on the fence about this game, I'd say for me at least it a person who didn't like The shawn white games and usually Balks at overly realistic Snowboarding games, I am very impressed and having fun. After all that bs, you can start low stakes game of travelling down mountains on skis, snowboards, or hang gliders. You can grind for more toys, but that grind is clearly made worse by the inclusion of micro-transactions. This is modern gaming at its worst and a moral person would not reward Ubisoft by paying for this game. Full disclosure: I downloaded this for "free" with PS+.

I cannot express enough how bad the on-line only policy is for players. You cannot start this game off-line. If you don't have internet available, too bad. If PSN or Ubisoft's servers go down, too bad. When Ubisoft pulls the plug on this game, too bad because the game will be unplayable forever. Do you like couch co-op? Too bad. It's your fault for not buying more PS4s, TVs, PS+ accounts, and copies of the game.

The game itself is not worth the trouble. If you fondly remember games like SSX Tricky, then hold on to those memories. Steep is a bare bones experience where you navigate some bearded guy downhill and try to keep him from falling on his face. You can have the guy perform tricks on jumps and the mountains will have plenty of those. My kids like the jetpack glider, and I wonder why anyone would want to use anything else if they can legitimately fly. Other than that, the game is a bare bones grind to unlock things that could be bought with micro-transactions instead.

    Shame on Ubisoft.

I must, however, give Steep poor marks. I simply can't give a game that is multiplayer based anything above a 4 if the multiplayer aspect of the game is total garbage. Once again Ubi has failed in the implementation of multiplayer. Given over 40 hours of game play I can say categorically that it's nearly impossible to stay connected with more than 1 other friend online for more than about 10 minutes.

Ubi's response to such disconnections is the predictable "open these ports" or "put your PS4 in the DMZ" or "check your NAT" or some such other useless advice. Ubi needs to look inward and find out why their games are the only AAA games that have truly horrible connection issues that never get fixed.

You can Spawn at the top of a mountain, make a line and then share that line with your friends as a challenge, race, best jump, etc. It has its glitches but no game breaking ones I've seen yet. Did I forget to mention the game is BEAUTIFUL? Everytime you do anything in this game it's screenshot worthy because of the beautiful Vistas. I was very, very apprehensive about paying full price for this on a whim, and after 5 hours of play, I'm thoroughly impressed. This is a perfect game to zone out and listen to podcasts and audiobooks to.

Think Burnout Paradise, but with Winter Sports. I don't know what engine was used on this game, but everything is SO incredibly smooth. The tech is astounding, and the team behind it seriously deserve to win awards. Sadly, I don't think they're going to get any.

Steep doesn't seem to be getting great reviews across the board. It's not a thrilling game of setpieces and constant action. If you judge it on the merits of what it is: an open-world winter sports playground, it's fantastic. Again, think Burnout Paradise, but with winter sports. The control is great, the environments huge and gorgeous, and the tricks are easy to get the hang of, difficult to master, and so so rewarding when you pull off a perfect run. Load times are NEAR-INSTANT, allowing you to fast-travel to anywhere on the mountain, or restart any ride with only a quick button press.

I want to underline that last point: It may sound weird, but the fast-retry is the single greatest thing about this game. I've always loved doing speed and trick challenges in games, but have always HATED the long load times required for when you screw up. (I'm specifically talking about Just Cause 3's challenges here, which were great, but infuriating to reload upon error.) The team at Ubi apparently recognized this, and made the ease of use for retrying challenges so incredibly easy, that you can easily do three or four extra runs on a challenge in the time some other games would take just to reload to the starting point. It works so brilliantly and it's such a fantastic idea that I seriously cannot understand how this has not been more common in other challenge-based games before now. The retry function is as quick and easy as it was in Hotline Miami, a game that was insanely unforgiving, and thrived on the ease of repetition.

I don't know how many people were really clamoring for an open-world winter sports playground, much less one that costs full AAA price. I'm not a fan of any of the sports in the game, (except for the promise of wingsuit challenges like in Just Cause 3,) and yet I'm loving it. I can't think of any way a developer could possibly make a winter sports playground more perfectly suited to just going out and having fun. It feels great to play, and it's incredibly well-built.

My only complaints after 5 or so hours of play are with the incredibly busy UI, which for some reason has the most unreasonably small text I've ever seen in a game, as well as the tutorials and beginning hour of the game being a bit of a confusing mess. The voice acting is a bit of a mixed bag, but honestly, if you don't like it, you can easily mute it. I love the music options in the game, where you can turn on different types of playlists for different moods. I've admittedly only played with the "Chill" playlist on so far, and it's beautiful. But, if you want to turn the music off, this is an absolutely perfect game for chilling out and turning on a podcast or audiobook while you play.

Worth checking out at full price if you've got the disposable income, and if you ever see it on sale, give it a shot. If you stick with it through the rocky opening, I think you'll really enjoy yourself.

I'll nip the first argument for Steep's greatness in the bud from the start. "It's not bad a bad game with awful physics! It's REALISTIC!".

I just raced a sumo wrestler down a mountain while he cast magic to raise totem poles. It is not a realistic game.

It seems to use the same physics engine as Just Cause 3, so if you enjoy watching the rag doll kick in when you touch something while traveling at three nanometers per second then watching your guy roll for three and a half months until he finds his way back to his feet, you are in luck! If on the other hand you want a fun game, look elsewhere.

The game is set on a large "open world" mountain, which is technically true, but a total lie in practice. Because its super realistic (its not) you are at the mercy of the slope of the mountain, which means you can only ever travel downwards. It is the GTA equivalent of an open world if GTA only allowed you to control a train.

You'll have to hope that you don't hit an obstacle such as a log cabin while travelling in one direction in a bland world, because you will be stuck behind it until you open the map and restart. Again, the game is super realistic. That's why all log cabins in the alps have piles of bones on the slope side, left by the snowboarders who hit them and were unable to move to the left or the right so ended up in an endless state of trying both and getting no where until they died.

One small mercy is that all trials can be accessed from the map but that does make travelling the open world utterly pointless. Not that I'm complaining since travelling the open world is about as much fun as frost bite.

Another mercy is that trials can be restarted immediately, which is more a requirement than a feature as the physics engine means that the only way to beat a race is to make no physical contact with anything. This is especially frustrating when the game applies slightly less gravity to the player than the moon applied to Buzz Aldrin. Going over even the most minor of bumps causes you to fly like an Eagle even when the jump button isn't pressed. There is no way to prevent this, or to redirect so it's really down to luck where you land.

The trick system requires you to select the direction of the spin after releasing the jump button, unlike every other game in the genre. I'd imagine it's because other games in the genre were designed my games designers, where as the folk at ubisoft put a big ol' inanimate snowman in charge of Steep. Even for the creation of an inanimate object though, Steep is a bad game.

The dialogue is horrible, the graphics are average, the customisation options are pointless. The designers opted to draw the suggested route for each race in white, which is a colour well known for contrasting against white snow. The developers are just not good games developers, and if Steep is a result of their perception of snow sports then I doubt they've ever seen any actual snow sports.

PLEASE do not fall for the positive reviews. They are a lie. This game is genuinely the worst game I have ever played in my 25 years of playing games. It is a bad joke and possibly just the result of Ubisoft seeing just how little effort they can put in to a game and still make money.

I should point out that I got Steep for free, and I still wrote this review. That is how bad it is.

As a result you’ll just end up opening the overview map and clicking the multitude of icons to start events. Things don’t get any better from here as the gameplay itself isn’t even particularly exciting, hurtling down a mountain at breakneck speeds somehow feels totally mundane and can’t even be saved by the online multiplayer.

Having also recently played Ghost Recon Wildlands it seems Ubisoft are more interested in creating large open worlds than actually finding something interesting to do in them...

Something about the way Ubisoft weaves the sheer beauty and detail of the mountain landscape (my god, the available world is HUGE) and the intricate dynamics of the gameplay blended with incredible sound. It lends to a very immersive experience. Boarding at breakneck speed carving lines that barely sneak past obstacles or skimming precariously close to rock outcroppings while streaking/flying down the mountainside in the wingsuit is truly awe inspiring....as much as it can be in a video game, anyways. And, the ability to go just about anywhere on the mountainsides gives the game enough scope that replay-ability is real, seemingly...at least for now :) Depth of customization helps in this respect, too.

For now, the game is lots of fun. 20 hours from now? We'll see

You can come to this game any time to simply explore or just to ride down a hill, you can't finish the game, the point is that you don't feel like you have done everything in the game like you do in other titles. Summarized: This game is a great option for people who like to explore or who just simply like to do things without a specific objective. This game is about making your own paths, objectives, challenges and more. This is something you don't see every day, this is why I like this game so much. Expand

Also, scoring is bugged so you will very often not get the medal of the final score you got. It's like if you were trying to walk and, in every step you take, someone is pushing you back and slapping in your face. You will want to throw your PS4 through the window an to kick your TV and destroy it, and your neighbours will be asking themselves where those screams of agony and desperation come from

Absolutely infuriating game mechanics for a mostly beautiful game, which makes it even more infuriating thinking on what could be done.

DLC push in-game is also annoying. I already paid. Leave me alone.

Divertido e peça rara no mercado, STEEP falha pro ser um jogo exageradamente arcade, quebrando a imersão do jogo.

I really enjoyed it, but a bit more story would have been nice. The realism is awesome though!

For me, this game was unplayable. I found the controls to be off and I didn't have the motivation to learn how to master them. I played 2 hours maximum and decided to quit this game.

Steep is definitely one of the best extreme sports games around with a huge open world to explore tons of missions and activities

This game was free on PSN so I tried it out. Thought it was easy to pick up and play, looks great and most importantly it's fun. Cosmetic micro-transactions are available but not forced or necessary to have a good time. Anyone who got this game for free should not be complaining about micro-transactions or the fact that it's online only.

I got this game for free through the Ps Plus service for January of 2019 and I can say this game surprised me in every way. When I first played it I felt kinda lost since I didn't know what to do, but after some minutes I realized what a chill, fun game it was. It's so nice to see that this is an open world game and not just linear levels, I actually feel I can get lost in this game by exploring the montauins and going anywhere I want, it's a very nice immersive experience. The challenges might get a little bit frustrating at some point but the level of fun I have while doing them surpasses the frustration without a doubt. This is a beautiful, fun, open world sports game which deserves a higher rating on metacritic, that's why i'll give it a 10. Cons: Microtransactions and DLC's. 8/10 Expand

As mentioned below, the games does what it sets out to do. But it got repetitive and boring for me surprisingly quickly. I'm sure it will find its big fans but I haven't had that much fun playing it as I had expected.

To sum it up, I recommend it but don't expect tons of fun.

Would be good but the controls can be sloppy, and some of the events are impossible were they even play tested? And the hidden stuff is annoying to find because it doesnt show up on map.

I would like to give better rating, but in some time of playing this you find out, that there arent many special tricks that you can do. Also i didnt like that you need PS plus to play multiplayer

This game is really bad. I got it for free on Epic Games Store, so, happily, I didn't pay anything for it. This game has lots of problems, and a major one is the lack of purpose and things to do. In the very beginning of it the game itself tells you that the only thing there to do is level up in races and stunt courses to unlock more of those, leading to a pointless and no rewarding grind. This game is really bad. In the very beginning of it the game itself tells you that the only thing there to do is level up in races and stunt courses to unlock more of those, leading to a pointless and no rewarding grind. But the gameplay isn't good either. The character gets stuck in stupid places all the time and it's really frustrating getting you out of them, and lots of times he just hits ramps and stuff that he wasn't supposed to hit. Plus, the movimentation of the character, which isn't exactly good, gets even worse when getting in these bugs so the game looks terrible in these moments, and that breaks a lot of the immersion, leading to a game that isn't fun, immersive, beautiful or have objectives. I am a graduate of Dominican University's Master of Library and Information Science Degree Program. I studied video games for 36 months. I worked with Amazon's Luna controller, Playstation IV and V, XBox One S and Series S, and Nintendo's Switch Lite.

I purchased this game for the now ubiquitous $20 current market valuation of video games. My character didn't want to jump off a mountain thereby ending the game before it begun. Little did I know that there were three add ONS from $6-$15 which might produce ANY gameplay. Unfortunately, paying for Add Ons does not necessarily correspond with game play. In Olli Olli World buying add on content resulted in signs on the map. That trick was also used with Assassin's Creed Origins. Buying three add ONS for Assassin's Creed Unity didn't result in any additional content. And...show time. "Connecting to Steep Server, please wait..."

"Connection error. Connection to the server has been lost. You have been returned to the main menu." Does that mean I should gone to Popeye's to buy $6 worth of fried chicken?

So, I am going to have to press a bunch of buttons. It is 11:54 pm. And...show time... "Steep Rocket Wings DLC Installed."

"Master epic new challenges as you race through the skies and valleys at breakneck speeds in every daredevil's favorite sport, Rocket Wings "

Remember kids if you buy Hogwarts Legacy you might not get what you paid for. But more importantly buying a game like Hogwart's Legacy for a steep price allows you the opportunity to write a review for your student newspaper and for that steep of a price to submit a story to your literary arts magazine too.

And, it's now 12:19 and I got 66 points for purchasing the Add On content as a notification from Playstation 5 on my cell phone that you did indeed get 66 points for spending $6. No, I have not had a chance to play this game yet.

It does show that Steep is a game born of passion in a studio located at the feet of Alps, so it is easier to turn a blind eye to some of its flaws, like faulty collision detection. It’s not a perfect game, it will not have a following as strong as SSX 3 did, but if you’re looking for a game that will let you hit the slopes, there’s a chance you’ll be returning to Steep often.
