The new mode called Battle Station is a great addition to the game. Death Star also comes with 5 new maps and weapons. It's great to finally have dogfights in space.

Death Star is the best expansion so far for Battlefront, but the way the DLC as a whole is presented only further segregates the player base.

Easily the best Battlefront DLC so far, although it’s still only scratching the surface of what can be done in the Star Wars universe.

All the settings are beautifully reproduced, but this is not enough, only a new mode is added, and the design of the maps is too linear. By the way, you can fight with Chewie and for most of you this is enough to buy the game.

In short, there are highs and lows to Death Star. With a few expansions down and only one left to go, I was expecting something greater. If not more from the headliner, Battle Station, than at least more mode compatibility with the new maps. There's no excuse. I came in thinking it'd be an easy sell -- and it probably still will be for some given its inherent nostalgia -- but I'm coming out of it feeling let down.

This should have been in the game from the start. I didn't have much interest in playing the flight combat until now. Now it feels like Star Wars!!! Battle Station mode is a great addition and the rebellion's version of walker assault. Now if they could add a few more space maps and a galactic conquest mode they would be on target. Full Review »

The mechanics are good, the visuals are superb and just the fact that it's the Death Star and it's Star Wars means it gets an 8 rating. It's also superbly fun and the Battle-station game mode is dynamic and very well structured.

My main bug with this DLC is that it's DLC. The original Battlefront games came complete, complete with space battles and not many issues at all. Battlefront should've included space battles from the start and shouldn't have forced loyal fans into forking out any money for it. Despite it taking years in development I feel Battlefront needed another year to make sure they got it spot on because the base game was a let down to say the least. This fun DLC only marginally improves my views on the game though it does improve the game itself massively, showing how poor the base game is.

If they put time and effort into Battlefront 2, add a good single player CAMPAIGN not MODE and make sure space battles are in from the start AND take the positives from the original Battlefront 2 then they are on course to make a superb Star Wars game

Issues - The fact that B-Wing's, A-Wings. Tie Interceptors and Tie Defenders even show up so far out of timeline in this game really is noticeable here. Had they taken the time to implement Y-Wings properly and provide some other substitutes for this space combat, I would have enjoyed it more.
