I pretty much dreaded returning to this game for review after the first go, but I still persisted. The theme of wet t-shirts, water guns, and silly antics is something that I could overlook regardless of how much it just made me uncomfortable at times, but the core gameplay mechanics here just didn’t do it for me. Who could I recommend this game to then? Players that are fans of the storyline and banter between the girls, and the overall visual design of the game might be pleased, but anyone looking for anything past the busting babes or wet shirts are bound to be disappointed.

Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash (what a mouthful so ill name it PBS like they use in-game... japan like to make long names don't they), is more than meets the eye than just Pretty Ninja Girls running around in Bathing suits and shooting Each other with water guns which when you start the game for the first time doesn't seem like there is anything else but shooting girls to get their outfits wet or teared. BUT There is a Story, a fully fledged background and Lore based on this one world and Game, Which is all told in its amazing 50 part main story mode, like any Japanese visual Novel this is just as good. The writing and dialogue is amazing, there is a lot humour in this, and there is also some uncalled swearing in parts especially from people you least expect it. the chemistry between all the characters are interesting and just work, the Illustrations for some of the scenes that cant use in-game models are beautifully drawn, and the animations for the characters during normal talking suit the reactions and tone in their voices.

The story is split into 4 arcs (Gessen Arc, Hanzo Arc, Hebijo Arc and the Crimson Arc which are named after the 4 academy's from the main games in the series... yes there is more.) each one with its own story though each end with the grand final of the PBS. in-between there is qualifying rounds before you start versing the other 3 academies. and even then there is missions in-between them. there is over 70 missions in the story with 10 each Arc and the with the rest in the Paradise Episodes which are side stories, (like an OVA of a Anime Series), all have 5 parts each so there is around 65 parts not included in the main story of the game. each Paradise Episode is unlocked as you play the Main Story with each one unlocking corresponding to the Arc you finished. each one is just as good as the Main Story, so don't just think they will be **** because they are side stories.

Once you finish them, there is the V-Road Campaigns, which is the main Single Player Tournament Mode in the game, which you start at the School League and advanced to the 4th harder league in the mode. Once you start the School League you can not quit the game as if you do you will be put back to the first round, and start all again, you only save progress if you win the finals for that league, unlocking the next league afterwards. This mode is fun and just great to play tournaments that have no story or talking like in the Main Story, or annoying People in the Multiplayer.

Speaking of Multiplayer, there is 3 modes for Network play (you will always need to be online for these even with A.I.), the first mode is Ranked and is split up between 3v3 and 5v5, and you play different modes against real people which if someone leaves they get replaced with kinda of Useless AI, the first mode is the Normal Team Death Match, Second mode is the Classic Capture The Flag but is replaced with a Bra, the last mode is King of the Hill which is just Domination. Going back to Menu selection the Next Mode is Free Match which you can make your own matches on any map with real people or AI. the last Mode is Co-op Survival which is a Horde Mode with 50 Waves getting harder and harder, and it is Tough, this can be played by yourself, with AI or with 3 other humans. all this has great replayabilty as there is a wide range of the Maps to play.

Gameplay Wise, it is Fast Paced TPS Fun, the buttons are responsive and the controls are easy to use which can be changed in the settings which is great. when you down an opponent you can choose to finish them with the Splash Chance minigame which when you activate this mode, you shoot a rubber ducky trying to get as many points as possible which is great help when trying to rank up in the Ranked Mode BUT when you do so, you either break her Top off or her Bottoms Off reviling her privates with a Flash of lens flair to make it as "kid friendly" as possible. there is a total 10 Weapons. then there is 3 types of cards, Weapons which get you weapon skins, Pets which float near you shooting others or activating power ups for your team or enemy. the 3rd card type are personal abilities like Shields, energy blasts, or even increasing/decreasing your traits. the card system is great but seems kind of bad in multiplayer when leveling is involved.

moving away from gameplay, there is 30 characters in the game from the main series and other game series like Dead or Alive. each looks great... not just their boobs or butt... each character can be leveled to Level 10 using dupe cards as well. the outfits amazing and unique which split into tear-able, bikinis and see-through. the diorama mode is great for posing characters and the intimacy mode lets you "interact" with the characters, which is fun... for 10 minutes. this game is a must if you like the series

I want toThis is my first Senran Kagura game and based on what I saw from the previews, I was expecting a fun, silly game with water guns. I want to like this game, but there are aspects of it which are just mean- spirited and demeaning.

It's one thing to play a game with eye candy; it's another when the woman looks humiliated with tears in her eyes after you perform a finishing move, or in a side game, the controls allow you to grope her while she tells you to stop. Keep pulling, slapping, and tugging and she becomes helpless, which allows you to steal a kiss. What the heck?! I was hoping for something like Splatoon, but instead got something that rewards a player for sexual intimidation and coercion.

If I continue playing the game, I'll overlook the cringe and just play multiplayer, because I want a light hearted, fun shooter that I can just pick up and play. I'm staying away from the other aspects of the game, because they cross the line from stupid fun to sexual harassment.

This PBS is developed by Tamsoft and published by Marvelous, uses the characters of the series Senran Kagura and is a third-person shooter with weapons of water.

Imagine this PBS as a Gears of War, but instead of hard people, armed to the teeth and with firearms, we have sweet girls and some of them pervert, who do not have many problems in showing their skin, with jetpacks of water that we can raise and accelerate and, as I said, with water guns. The overall goal of the game, in most of the missions of story mode, missions of the Paradise Episodes, V-Road Challenge and team battle mode online, is to shoot down the 5 (or less) members of our opposing team with Assault Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Pistol, Dual Pistols, Shotgun, Shower Gun, Gatling Gun, Spray Gun, Melee, Pets or skill cards.

When our opponent reaches zero health, he falls exhausted and devastated, and then there is an opportunity to make a Kunekune Finish aka Squirmy Finish, one of the most fun and hilarious parts of the game and one of the reasons why i bleed. Let's say it's a way of humiliating our opponent through the water-laden rubber ducklings to leave the victim with tears. We can direct and shoot to three victim sites, head, bra or underwear. For example, if we shoot a lot in on underpants, well... the underpants will come out. The same thing happens with regard to the bra and before you ask, no, you can't see the intimate parts of the girls, otherwise the Tamsoft would be marked with iron and fire.

In Story Mode we have 4 Arcs: Gessen Arc, Hanzo Arc, Hebijo Arc and Homura's Crimson Squad Arc. Negative point for the non-anime cutscenes, sometimes I get the feeling that the characters' lip motions are not well synchronized with the character's speech. In addition we will have missions to shoot down the other opposing team, we have missions to eliminate all the enemies, to put out fires and to defeat bosses. Paraside Episodes are just fillers and there's nothing different (cutting out the fire missions and the bosses) from story mode missions, and as you can see, there are only a few missions in Story Mode and Paradise Episodes. Another detail, in both Story Mode and Paradise Episodes, the user always starts with three hearts, if both are empty, is Game Over. After we have completed some mission in Story Mode and Paradise Episodes, the player is rewarded with X Zen, X-Star Card Pack and sometimes a Memorial Medal, depending on difficulty (Easy, Medium or Hard) and the performance we made on (B, A and S rank) the mission.

V-Road Challenge has 4 modes: School Cup, Honey Cup, Queen Cup and Venus Cup. Both are about elimination; the team that made the most KO's goes to the next stage and they are divided in 5 phases: 1st Round, 2nd Round, 3rd Round, Semifinal and Final. If for example we win in the School Cup final, the Honey Cup is unlocked and so on. If we lose in one of the qualifiers, we will return to the 1st Round.

We have 33 playable characters and 8 arenas. I leave here a negative point regarding the arenas. Both in Story Mode, Paradise Episodes and V-Road Challenge suffer from the "reuse of the same arenas" syndrome (there aren't too many arenas, but it also hasn't quite a few) and that's a bit annoying.

The game gives us the possibility of having pet cards and skill cards that serve to increase the arsenal of our characters. During the deck edit we have 3 slots for the pet cards and while the skill cards have 6 slots. But I will give you a few examples of the skills of certain pet cards and skill cards, Kagura (Pet Card) protects the user from attacks for 20 seconds, we have certain cards from Leo (skill cards) that gives us the possibility of firing a laser in front of the user. In relation to skill cards, there are five types of cards, from one star cards to five star cards. The more stars a card has, the more powerful it is. A good point for the game is the optimum amount of skill cards with different abilities. If we receive repeated cards, we can always use them to level up, our characters, weapons, pet cards or skill cards.

Peach Beach Splash has a shop where we can buy packs of cards, illustrations, anime cutscenes, hairstyles, clothes and among other cosmetic things that we can use in the Dressing Room. Speaking in this mode, in addition to being able to put clothes, bracelets, hats and other accessories, we can also change the color and shape of our characters' hairstyle, as well as change the Panties and... do perverted and stupid things.

Soundtrack is just average. Performance problems? No complaints and overall, despite their flaws, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash came as a surprise to me; is original (someone is watching some TPS game with water guns like PBS??) and a lot of fun to play.
