You get SS I - IV along with three editions of V including the previously unreleased "Perfect". This collection also features the Japanese versions. In terms of display options, you can enable HD scaling, TV/Arcade filters, fullscreen and 16 banners. In addition, each title has their own save slot and can be played online. Difficulty and controller options can be customized as well. Overall, this is a gorgeous love letter to the classic franchise. A definite must-own for long time fans. I would rate this with a 9.2 out of 10. Expand

It's a bit like it was made by a team of people that one person was dedicated and the rest couldn't be arsed.

I usually buy the standard aca neogeo games I play on the Switch and they all have these full game manuals that are useful. I would trade all of the extras on this game if it meant I got the manual as a trade off.

So for what it is as a package it is disappointing. I got this really cheap in the sale and am a bit disappointed even at a huge sale price.

So the games. They're good games but as someone that loves old games like this, I think that are massively overshadowed by other titles as far as quality goes. By this I mean they are good games but if you don't own others from this genre then push this really far down the to buy list.

Before this I would easily say buy:

Garou Mark of the Wolves (100% buy this)

    King of Fighters 2002 UM

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R

    Blazblue Centralfiction (or any BB)

    Guilty Gear Rev Xrd 2

    Fatal Fury Real Bout Special

    Last Blade 1+2

    Ninja Masters

Street Fighter Anniversary for variants of SF2, Alpha and 3rd Strike.

    King of Fighters 98 UM

Fatal Fury Real Bout 2, or Special.

Closer to the same league as Samsho I think I would still say I prefer

Waku Waku 7 But WW7 although great, is not on a level with the top of this list. Easy 20-30 fighting games I would go for before Samsho collection. It just feels clunky and lazy.

Even going to another side of the fighting genre I found Dragonball Fighterz, DOA 5 and Jump Force way more fun than this. I think the only fighter I liked less is Undernight Inbirth, which is like a **** version of Blazblue.

Not bad games but with so many better there is just no reason to get this, combined with the compilation feeling really half baked I can't think of any reason to recommend it. Each one had something better as an option for its era.

    In one word - Clunky.

I Installed game(using an MSI G242 monitor) and played IV for a few minutes, no matter what setting or filter was applied the health bars would not stop flashing fast constantly.

When I exited game (such a crap port that there's no return to main menu, just have to close game and restart). Back on PS4 UI the flashing bars effect from the game remained ghosted on my monitor screen, I restarted monitor/PS4 and ghosting still there, luckily it gradually faded within 30mins, but doubt I'll be starting this game up again.

Shame I've owned the game for a while without installing or I'd be looking to be refunded of this trash!
