    Rough around the edges but a solid game. Nice change from the bogged down features of fifa and madden

    Great to finally see a rugby game the developers care about. Thank's Big Ben. Not sure why the first critic review gave such a low score due to the South Africans not being included. Go play rugby challenge because this game is for us Northern Hemisphere fans!

    This game when it first released would have received a 4 or 5 out of 10 from me, but the constant updates and patches have absolutely transformed the game into what I can honestly say is the first rugby game I've enjoyed playing since I was a child. The difference between the first release of the game, and what I am now playing is enough for most game companies to warrant an entirely new release (*cough* FIFA *cough*) and it is so refreshing to see a fame company show actual passion for their game and appreciation for the fans that have taken a chance on it. I really hope that this isn't the end of the EKO rugby games as they've grown from unplayable messes to fun, enthralling games that while flawed, are painting an exciting picture of the potential for a game series that could one day sit alongside the likes of 2k.… Expand

    If you desperately need a new Rugby game to fill the void, you might still consider picking Rugby 20 up, but even then you might be better off going back to Rugby Challenge and playing that with some of the new community squads.

    To be fair, the title does a good job of simulating the territorial battles that occur in real-world rugby matches, but it’s generally clumsy and there’s no real consistency to the way players move. The ball physics can be unpredictable, and the overall experience is glitchy. But it’s strangely moreish in a way that all arcade sports games can be, and its bargain bin adaptation of FIFA Ultimate Team deserves credit for eschewing microtransactions – even if its unlockable players are pooled from the depths of Ireland’s lower leagues.

    Overall this is unimpressive, yet oddly playable through all its flaws. Still, the agonising wait for a formidable rugby game on PS4 goes on. Anyone for tennis? [Issue#172, p.97]
