Apr 12, 2019Love the gameplay. Hate the performance. Framerate runs from 25-30 FPS. I emailed the developer to see why the game doesn't run at 60 FPS (the graphics are very simple). Did not get a response. It is the same gameplay loop over and over, but it is framed like a rogue-like. A decent game for the short term, but doesn't run as well as it should (I think the PC version runs at 60).

Oct 7, 2022This game is not bad. It has good potential but falls short as you cannot really save your runs. There is a glitch that causes one of the players to not shoot. When this happens the run is over.

Playstation Official Magazine UKApr 10, 2019RICO fancies itself as the sterotypical hard-bitten police officer who gets results but refuses to play by the rules. In reality, it’s more like Paul Blart: Mall Cop. [Issue#161, p.96]

Apr 10, 2019RICO is meant meant to be played in quick bursts of ridiculous action. Spend too long with the game and infinite loop of smashing doors and clearing rooms becomes rather tiresome, but that's fine, not every game has to be an epic that requires you to bring a packed lunch. It may not be the best looking title, and it does have a few technical hiccups, but for a quick hit of over the top action it works really well, even more so if you have a friend to join in.

Mar 20, 2019If you'd like to have some co-op first-person shooting fun with a friend either locally or online then you can have a few hours of fun with RICO. After that, it'll likely overstay its welcome with its simple gameplay and tiresome structure.
