With it’s high-octane pace, RGX Showdown is an incredibly promising blueprint for a low-priced arcade racer, but with the untimely demise of its publisher, Telltale, it’s hard to tell if the developers, Shortround Games will be able to make a sequel or expand on the premise of the game.

RGX Showdown is a valiant effort in doing something unique with arcade racing, but the results are hit and miss. The frenetic, head to head races will provide some thrilling chases, and the drip feed of rewards for successive victories can be addictive, but it lacks polish. The presentation is rough around the edges and it feels pretty bare-bones, but there is the seed of a good idea here.

Looks great and shines at first, unfortunatly its has its downsides like get lost in the gamemenues, or spending more time to find a matchLooks great and shines at first, unfortunatly its has its downsides like get lost in the gamemenues, or spending more time to find a match for your race then racing ( mostliy takes just 1 min ... ) than back to the start. Loadingtimes are also quite a killer.
The game looks nice like a blend of Wipeout / or the very first Burnout ( due the traffic on the road ) however its start to get boring fast too wait for a match (online required) as the stages dont really differ that much...
If you like "grinding" and replaying the same old for an upgrade or two you might find it interresting.
