    In 1995 Super Dropzone on the SNES was basically Defender: The Next Generation and Resogun is essentially Super Dropzone: The Next Generation. Explosions galore and frantic alien-shooting/human rescuing with a pleasingly old school visual style, this would be fantastic stuff on a handheld but on the PS4 I expect a little more. Good fun is short bursts but a little lacking in substance.

    This just felt like a horrible version of Aqua Kitty UDX.

    I just see no point in choosing this out of the two. The 3D thing felt a bit unpleasant. I love shooters but this just felt awkward. Doesn't mean it's a bad game, I guess a lot of it is personal taste. 1/10 was its value to me. There are many games I would score zero and not understand why people would like them at all.     Resogun is one of Housemarque's best games to date. It's addicting and inventive and offers more than enough content to satisfy a good while.

    Fun, bright and challenging! The only downfall of this game is how fast it can be completed, maybe this is a chance for a series to grow into something big!

    Best launch title for the PS4 looking back. Gameplay is Fast, addicting and extremely fun.

    This game is relatively short but it is packed with action as a side scroller shooter. The platinum in this game is also relatively easy and can be done from start to finish in less than 12 hours. If you are into bullet hell type of games and enjoy shooting from a space ship this game is for you.

    Very good. And it was for free i think on Ps4 Lunch.Its like you playing super cool game from Arcade times but even better ;)

    Decent, reasonably enjoyable but short game (~2 hours play if you're not interested in going for high scores or through difficulty levels). Plays smoothly and the music suits the game but for me personally, doesn't have much replay value. Not in the same league as Super Stardust HD.

    Housemarque seem to have this ability to make games which are insanely addictive and challenging, yet so much fun they're never annoying. Nex Machina is another example.    Fantastic game which honours Defender, respects it, brings it into the modern era. Everything about it is brilliantly done; it's smooth, playable, addictive, it looks incredible, the difficulty curve is so well-judged.

    Played the hell out of Resogun. It was addictive and so much fun.

    My only cretinism to the studio is that tried to milk the success of the game by trying to sell you content that should've been included in the already very short game to start with.

    Resogun is a great 2D arcade twin stick shooter from Housemarque, inspired by the classic arcade shoot-em-up Defender. You fly across a series of rotating cylinder-shaped stages shooting at enemies while rescuing humans as a side-quest. It's optional, but by doing so you earn bonuses such as extra lives and bombs. Resogun isn't an original or groundbreaking game, but it's highly addictive and joyful to play. It's got great voxel-based 3D graphics (you can notice it especially when exploding parts of the stage with a bomb) and runs at 60 fps. The base game was rather short but it got expanded with a series of DLCs. The developers added, among other things, a ship editor (you can create a ship with the stats and shape of your choice), challenges, and a new mode called Defenders (you play as a ground-based human waiting to be rescued by a ship). You can even play in co-op in some of the modes. I wholeheartedly recommend Resogun to all retro arcade fans.… Expand

    The greatest launch title for the PS4, excluding games that were released previously for the last generation. Resogun is a simplistic shooter with incredible speed, addicting gameplay and a short but sweet number of levels. Your main focus to save humans from alien invasions, but you can just flat-out ignore that goal. The gameplay is smooth, but there is a massive gripe with the game. Resogun is a simplistic shooter with incredible speed, addicting gameplay and a short but sweet number of levels.     juego tanto solo como cooperativo, buena jugabilidad y banda sonora pegadiza

    Really liked the game! A great shooter with stunning and colorful visual effects, graphics, sound design. Downright addictive and never lets go. Recommend!

    Addictive space shooter that's lots of fun to play! Colorful graphics, energetic music, superb mechanics, and challenging levels make this a console classic and a must have any PS4 owner!

    As a launch title, it must have been fine when compared to the few releases at the time. Now a few years past, it is nothing spectacular. Thankfully the PS4 was able to acquire better exclusives.

    Tolles Spiel! Macht süchtig! Bin beim Suchen nach zu "Aqua Kitty Milk Mine Defenders" auf Resogun gestoßen. Spielemechanik ist die gleiche. Wem das eine gefallen hat, wird das andere auchgefallen. Als einen DLC kann man auch noch einen Menschen spielen der sein Haus verteidigt - gaaaanz toll.

    Really enjoying this game on my new PS4. I play this with my kids every night. It's graphical presentation is gorgeous. And it is challenging enough to make us try over and over again.

    This is really awesome game for the Playstation 4. One of the first games i got for the system and still one of my favorites for it. Well worth a purchase.

    This is a great great game. The return to the great arcade shooters using the potential of the PS4! JUST GREAT! My first ps4 title at launch and I did play it again later on PS3 and VITA to get that super Platinum trophy once again!

    Resogun really got me when I started going through list of it's trophies and executing them. I had the game sitting in my games list on ps4 for about 3 months and played a little bit during that time, not too much; but when my trophy fever started I played the hell out of it and got the Platinum in the end. Really good game - good job housemarque

    I remember playing this game back on launch day, good times. Still a great game, just needs more players. Graphics are nice and it can be challenging with a friend.

    Wow, talk about addiction. Found this gem on a PSN sale. One of my better purchases from there. Took a decade long hiatus from gaming and never really played a game like this but it was so enjoyable. The differences between both levels and difficulty are actually there which makes each level different depending on difficulty chosen.     I was not a fan of Resogun. I found the gameplay too repetitive, which killed it for me. The game has a great art style, and the fast-paced gameplay feels nice, but it only kept my attention for a very short while, and after that I felt myself playing the game like a zombie hoping something new would happen. The game is very arcade-y. The game is definitely for some people, just not me.

    Resogun is great. I actually felt weird when the PS4 launched because I bought big launch titles like Killzone but didn't even open the package for a long time because I was so into Resogun. Great soundtrack/effect and intense gameplay. This can really get addictive if you start trying to push your limits and get to those high score multipliers. I believe I got it for free but this game isResogun is great.     Well this is pure perfection for me. Starting with excellent smooth gameplay and controls finishing on really nice challenge and pure fun flowing at You straight out of the screen. This is essentially what the video game should be.

    For what this game is, it's perfect. Classic addictive arcade game, fast pace, high score chasing action. It's pure reactionary. Leave your slow thinking brain at the door. Reminds me of the simple games I played as a kid. It's timeless and will still be fun in 20 years. I'll get much move value out of this than any COD I've played. Can't beat it for $15. Nice soundtrack, explosions, andFor what this game is, it's perfect. Classic addictive arcade game, fast pace, high score chasing action. It's pure reactionary. Leave your slow thinking brain at the door. Reminds me of the simple games I played as a kid. It's timeless and will still be fun in 20 years.
