    An excellent remake, faithful to the original game and innovative.
    Unlike others, I did not experience many technical problems in this game.
    I think the gameplay was great. Interesting and sometimes difficult stages, exciting boss fights
    I personally did not like the last boss fight very much.

    The remake of the great "Resident Evil 4" is a masterpiece. Even the PS4 version runs considerably well considering it's on a 10 year old console. There are some texture pop up and framerate issues that happen on occasion. But nothing too bad. Unlike the previous three remakes, this one really sticks close to the original. It's almost the same game, but with modern gameplay changes andThe remake of the great "Resident Evil 4" is a masterpiece.     Resident Evil 4 Remake para PlayStation 4 es un gran logro técnico para un software de 2013. No tiene nada que envidiarle a la versión de PS5. Un juego muy a la altura del original de 2005 y una compra obligada para todos los fans de la saga y de los Survival Horror en general.

    Just like in every other Resident Evil game I've played, the story is not good at all. However, I'm impressed by how perfectly well-paced the plot and the gameplay is in this game; it's constantly exciting and enjoyable from the beginning till the end.
    Talking about the gameplay, it's absolutely excellent! The shooting, the survival horror elements, the action and set-pieces, the mechanics, the weapon and item variety, the quality of life improvements over the previous Resident Evil games; everything is wonderful! Even the puzzles are very decent.
    Although, I got to say, I found the game to be unexpectedly difficult at times, but it's not a big deal because the game is so enjoyable to play, it's honestly hard to put the controller down.
    And even though the story is not good, the characters are surprisingly likable and interesting.
    Also, unlike in the other Resident Evil games I've played, the bosses in Resident Evil 4 are really fun and cool for the most part, especially towards the end.
    Last but not least, the audio and the graphics are breathtaking! Unfortunately the PS4 version of the game has few texture issues here and there, but the game looks awesome overall.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake - великолепная игра! И, даже по сравнению с ремейками второй и третьей части интерес прохождения просто на голову выше. И это так же говорит о высоком качестве самого оригинала!
    Доработали сам геймплей. Да, кое что изменили. Убрали тупые qte, теперь бой с Краузером    Ну, что же, Capcom ещё раз доказала свой профессионализм в производстве собственных ремейков.

    Доработали сам геймплей. Да, кое что изменили. Убрали тупые qte, теперь бой с Краузером выглядит более естественно. Исчезли раздражающие "головоломки", например со статуей Рамона. Вырезали бесконечный респавн врагов в замке. Исправили геймплей за Эшли, в оригинале это было одно из самых раздражающих мест! Ближние атаки Леона и удары ножами стали намного удобней. И это здорово!
    Оставили и то, что лично мне нравилось. Например наш протагонист сам лазает по лестницам.
    Добавили и нововведения. Так в игре появились мини квесты, на сбор всякого барахла. Если в оригинале это ни как не мотивировалось, просто стреляй по медальонам, то здесь это отдельные задания за которые ещё и платят. Оружия, как мне показалось, стало больше. Больше стало и модернизаций.
    Да, кое какие изменения не особо зашли. Так появление Битореса Мендеза в финальной битве стало не таким пугающим как в оригинале. Большие двери Леон теперь открывает только как в Dark Soulsе, а раньше мог и с вертушки вышибить. Ещё, может это только в русской локализации, Эшли во время бега стонет как в порнухе.
    Ещё есть некоторые проблемы с тенями, конечно это скорее всего вопросы к железу PS4. Но всё это скорей придирки.
    Игра красивая, интересная, она не коротка. Все локации оригинала переданы просто великолепно. Ещё мне показалось, что геймплей стал более доступен, что ли. Просто от прохождения не устаёшь.
    Да, ещё локализация великолепна!

    I'm a new Resident Evil fan .i played Resident Evil 2 remake some weeks before Resient Evil 4 Remake released and I loved it.Nonetheless I went with low expectations on Re4 ,probably because I heard that the horror factor gets reduced.I got it on the first week of release (been a long time since I did such a thing) and after a 100+ hours I have to say that this is my favourite game ever,I'm a new Resident Evil fan .i played Resident Evil 2 remake some weeks before Resient Evil 4 Remake released and I loved it.Nonetheless I went with low expectations on Re4 ,probably because I heard that the horror factor gets reduced.I got it on the first week of release (been a long time since I did such a thing) and after a 100+ hours I have to say that this is my favourite game ever, it managed to dethrone Bloodborne from my number 1 spot.It was the most fun I had in a game in a very long time it made me feel like I'm back on my childhood .After my 2nd run which was on hardcore, I finished the game 6 times in 11 days and didnt feel even a little tired of it,actually i'm on a chil 8th run atm.Last time I did that was back when I was a kid playing ps2 games.The gameplay was masterful and had an amazing feeling ,the gunplay was perfect and I enjoyed parrying A LOT. The game runs pretty good on ps4 unlike what some people say.The story was fantastic ,the bossfights amazing and the whole thing was really tense .There were also some parts that were terrifying as well. The characters were well written and likeable and the antagonists were awesome .Leon is a master class protagonist and Ashley is a great deuteragonist .The boss before the last one is probably my favourite boss fight in general.Also I really adored many of the game's mechanics ,like the fact that you can duck and dodge throwable axes that way and even grabs .Some details were also great like the fact that genados duck when one behind them throws something .Ashley's reactions to cool things Leon does is worth mentioning as well.
    Overall a super clean 10/10 for me,it honestly restored my faith in games    … Expand

    the game looks so horrible on ps4 that it makes me feel like it's 2005 again not 2023, everything else is quite good the story and the classic RE gameplay kept me from deleting it

    It's a great campaign on PS4, even if you haven't tried the original before like me. However, although is true that the game performs decent, there are problems with the loading and resolution of textures, which is more noticeable when focusing on them to see them in detail.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Game is very bad. The Original 2005 version is much better than the remade game now in 2023. They removed the Separate Ways mode with Ada, Assigment Ada as well. The game is very bad the crosshairs are no longer laser and the recoil of the weapons are exaggerated the crosshairs go up to the sky nothing to see this does not exist in real life. Resident Evil 2 3 and 4 remake follow the same pattern, right? It's the same bad pattern, the same bad gameplay sometimes terrible and annoying. These games now are not like the ones they used to be. Resident Evil 1 remake remains the best in the series as well as as good as the original Resident Evil 4 is so much so that the original's world score is now at 96 worldwide considering the current remake's score is lowering players' scores worldwide . The gameplay is boring, they took a lot of locations and monsters from the original game. The game is terrible, very bad unfortunately I don't recommend it... Congratulations Shinji Mikami for the Resident Evil classics until Resident Evil 4 original version of 2005 after that only failure of Capcom. I prefer Dead Space!… Expand

    It is not a perfect game, There are a lot of things the original did better specially Ramon Salazar and Sadler.
    I don't think the game balances correctly
    between being goofy and taking itself seriously as much as the original did.
    The most important thing is... the game is FUN.

    Don't listen to all the review bombers, they're literally just a bunch of trolls from 4 chan assigning low ratings because the game "went woke" and has a few not-so-good voice actors voicing the characters. And while I acknowledge some of the voice acting being lackluster, that doesn't warrant the game being review bombed. As for the game being "woke", just shut the hell up. Who cares if the sexual content was cut out? That's not what made RE4 a classic in the first place.

    As far as the actual game is concerned, it's an absolute masterpiece. Capcom went out of their way while working on this game to create a remake of a classic game that is already considered to be one of the best games of all time by thousands (hell, even millions) of fans and critics alike. Almost everything fans of the original game loved about the first game is back, alongside some brand new content that they didn't even know they wanted (but ended up loving regardless). The story is greatly improved upon, and the characters feel more genuine and human, not to mention the script for the story is written a lot better as well. As for the gameplay, it's still the same good, old-fashioned fun as it was in the original, though there are a couple of new additions such as a new weapon and a new enemy type. The breakability for the knife is slightly bothersome, but at the same point, it makes the player think strategically when it comes to taking out enemies with melee attacks, and I can appreciate that.

    I can go on and on about how amazing this game is, but I think I've said enough for now. All I have left to say is that you NEED to play this game, especially if you loved the original. Also, I should mention that while there may be a few issues with the framerate on PS4, the game still runs relatively well, which is impressive considering the fact that this is a brand new game on a console that's about a decade old.

    Great game but Capcom has to add a 30 fps cap to make it playable on PS4.
    Hopefully it will be added this year 2023.

    Following in the footsteps of its other remakes, Capcom smashes Resident Evil 4 out of the park. The gameplay, controls, and story are all wonderfully familiar yet still feel updated and fresh. The remake cranks the ambiance up to a 12, and tension serves as a constant companion while you make your way through the game's gorgeously rejuvenated world.
