Feb 20, 2019This game is one of the best resident evil games for its time and the controls have aged very well. It is very easy to pick up and play. Even on older systems like PS3 and Xbox 360. I would recommend it over and over again to every one interesting in learning about how Leon defeated evil this time.

Jan 10, 2019Resident Evil 4 is an enjoyable game. At first I struggled with the controls, but once I got a handle on it, it was fine. The graphics weren't amazing, being an older game, even though they were enhanced. Despite all that, it was still a fun experience.

Nov 20, 2018Don't get me wrong this USED to be my go to game on PS2, Wii and PC, but sadly the dated clunky controls and limited combat mechanics have not aged well on the PS4. Just not fun to play any more and gaming has moved on from this outmoded style a play a long time ago. Visuals don't hold up to well either sad to say.

Oct 29, 2018Resident Evil 4 for the PS4 is a great game, it manages to maintain the charm the original GameCube version has. It's got a decent story and set of characters, the gameplay at the time was ground breaking but today it feels just like any other third person action game. But it's still a really good game especially with the updated graphics.

Aug 27, 2018Back in 2007, I did not appreciate the game and considered it a bad continuation of the franchise. However, after a squalid RE 7, this reinterpretation doesn't seem bad. Everything is fine in the game. Great atmosphere, environment, enemies, weapons, etc. Special thanks for fixing bugs of the original game.
The only thing annoying is the inconvenient for 2018 game controls -
Jul 14, 2018This game may be (very) good storywise but the controls lack by todays standard in a way that it hurts the gameplay. I don't want to fight the camera nor the movement abilities to enjoy a game. Because this is an updated version I not only have expected prettier graphics but original flaws to be adressed aswell.

May 19, 2018Es lo mismo que se vio en ps3 solo que a 1080p y con un nuevo mapeado en los controles recomendado para quien no lo jugo en su tiempo gamecube ,ps2 si lo tienes en ps3 seria una perdida de dinero

May 15, 2018It's slightly clunky, and Ashley can get a bit annoying sometimes, but RE4 is still fantastic. It has a funny charm and great combat that makes the game even more intense and fun.
-
Mar 5, 2018Buying it for the 3th time, this may not be the best RE yet, but it's one of the best games of all time.
The boss battles are brilliant. -
Mar 5, 2018Muy buen juego y muy divertido uno de los mejores resident evil tiene una buena historia larga duración y buena dificultad y jugabilidad

Dec 16, 2017One of my favorite game of all time is now on PS4 with the full HD and 60 fps gameplay.
Despite from two generations behind, this game is still awesome. (FYI I bought this game 3 times from PS2 to PS4) -

Sep 12, 2017Awesome remaster of awesome game. RE4 was my favorite game on PS2, and I have lot of fun play that again in 1080p and 60fps. Some cr@p - game has not platinum trophy. Sad story, bro (

Jul 27, 2017One of the worst Resident Evil games, this is when the franchise started going downhill. No zombies, just stupid villagers and the horror has been replaced by mindless shooting.
-
Jun 8, 2017Resident Evil 4 is one of the best in the series. I remember playing it on ps2 and i loved it and it became one of my all time favorite games i then recently picked it op for ps4 and instantly remembered why i liked it so much in the first place. The game still has all its perks from the ps2 version but with better graphics. It's a classic game with better visuals what more could you wish for.

Jan 11, 2017One major flaw, NO PLATINUM TROPHY!! a simple copy paste job of the trophy list by Capcom from the PS3 version of the game.. beaten the games countless times already on PS2, please give us trophy hunters something rewarding!
Sorry, Capcom says "f*ck you" in your face! A sh*t company who doesn't even bother to listen to fans..
Glad that your Umbrella Corps was sh*t! hahahaha~ -
Dec 2, 2016this is my favorite resident evil and i give it a 9/10 because nostalgic and **** but back then it would be 10/10 because it was good in its time but playing this and the controls u can tell its old lol but i still give it 9 or 10 :D

Oct 10, 2016This game is perfect I doubt any game in the genre be survival horror or action will ever top, only negative about the port is the seperate ways cutscene look like mud they really need to fix that
-
Oct 9, 2016Ahh nostalgia at it's best! Played this 10 years ago and now that it's been remastered on the current gen console I said to myself that I need to feel that "intense and satisfying gaming experience" again! And it's cheap too! Even after 10 years the game doesn't look that old. The game play is still solid, the graphics has been improved and of course, Leon is still a badass!

Sep 25, 2016This francise needs to end already. This game is proof that resident evil is well past its expiration date. I got bored shooting zombies. That's how bad it is.

Sep 15, 2016I think this may be the most ported game ever... Dont get me wrong a fantastic game but definitely not worth buying again if you have already brought this game on a previous consoles. The graphics overhaul is nice but that's about all is added to this.

Sep 12, 2016It's great to have this game in all it's glory ported to the next gen. While the graphics from the GameCube port are still the victor the game is still the genuine classic as it always will be. It's a great honor to be returning to this pure action / horror title.
-
Sep 7, 2016I love this game,I finished more than I could count on PS2,was my favorite game of all time by a long time, still a masterpiece,It's a shame hasn't platinum included :(
-
Sep 7, 2016This game is the best action adventure ever bar none of all time
I first played on my PS2 console, never a dull moment
It keeps you on your toes
All the puzzles, all the zombies and the different level bosses...it is so magnificent
needless to mention the graphics which was a total winner
So addictive -

Aug 30, 2016Great port of a great classic.
Very well done port, textures looks very good in 1080p (unlike the **** PS3/360 720p port)and it runs at a fearly stable 60fps.At U$20,00,you got a pretty good deal.even better if you are one of the few people who have never played RE4 before. -
Aug 30, 2016Surprisingly this is the best port by far of Resident Evil 4. I have played from chapter 1 to 3 and so far I have encountered no bugs and little to no fps drops. The textures look great in their 1080p format so you can expect a very smooth and pretty port from Capcom. Great Job Capcom!!

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaOct 29, 2016Veterans should hold onto their hard-earned pesetas for a future budget buy. If you’re a newbie to the series it’s ok to buy it at a high price, stranger. [December 2016, p81]
-
Oct 21, 2016This version aims only for the one or two persons in the world that haven’t played the game yet. Besides the 1080p resolution and the 60 fps framerate, it is still a lazy port.
-
Oct 11, 2016Resident Evil 4 is still a great experience. It still is one of the best entries of the whole Resident Evil franchise. 1080p and 60 FPS turns the game into a smooth thriller even if it is still not a full remake.
