    Oh god how I wished I loved this game, I heard so many negative things about it before playing ,but I wanted with all my heart not to view it that way.Well my wish came true ,I adored this game ,it's easily in my top 10 favourite games. The gameplay is similar to Resident Evil 2 Remake yet more action packed .It's super fun and satisfying.There was not a single moment I    Score: 9.5/10

    The gameplay is similar to Resident Evil 2 Remake yet more action packed .It's super fun and satisfying.There was not a single moment I didn't enjoy in this game, not every game needs to be long and for me who have not played the original yet and I knew about the game's length it was an excellent experience .Nemesis is terrifying ,the atmosphere is great and eerie.There is a decent enemy variety to make the experience not stale.The bossfights were really good and intense and I enjoyed that the final fight had a little more into it than waiting and getting the big ass weapon and ending it in a single shot. The areas were fantastic ,all of them .Most of all I liked roaming to raccoon city and the hospital section ,they were phenomenal.There wasn't as much backtracking ,but I'm fine with it.Worth mentioning of course are the puzzles which were enjoyable to say the least.

    The cast was amazing .Jill is an amazing protagonist ,she shines way more here than she does in Resident Evil , she is probably my favourite video game protagonist along with Leon. Carlos was a great secondary character.At first I wasnt that much into playing as him ,but how can you not love this guy, I wouldn't want a Carlos-less world.Nemesis is a great antagonistic force that constantly greatly pushes the narrative .There are also more things going on,but I will avoid them cause I don't want to spoil.

    The game looks amazing ,the RE engine shows once again how great it is ,the graphics look stellar.
    I also need to say that the credits song was a really beautiful piece of music,it really made me feel nostalgic for some reason and warmed my heart.

    Overall,I have to say that it makes me sad when people don't respect this game,because even if there are many differences with the original ,much love was clearly poured into it and it's visible.It's an amazing game that needs more love and respect. I 100% recommend this very underrated gem of a game    … Expand

    I can agree that the game is too short, I can agree that it's a pity that they cut iconic locations from the game, but I can't agree when someone writes that it's a bad game... it's far from such a rating! I even think that some elements (like the story) have even been improved. Feel that escape from the city now. This is that LAST ESCAPE from the original.     A diferencia del remake de resident evil 2, este (sin dejar de ser un muy buen juego), se queda corto, se olvida de escenarios claves del original y eso le puede hacer perder encanto. Pero es un muy buen juego, que te mantendrá entretenido hasta el final.

    This game is fun, always engaging no downtime I was never bored. (for example resident evil 3 had sections which are fun only on the first play through, however on repeat play through a they were annoying at best). But re3 i think is very well designed for repeat playthroughs

    Very good and fun game, but unfortunately it mischaracterizes some important things from the classic and simply took away others. A shame indeed, but all in all, it's still a good game.

    First ever resident evil game I’ve played and WOW I was hooked from the get go, great atmosphere, great graphics and gutted now I’ve completed it, but been out and brought number 2 remake and village can’t wait to play them

    No he jugado el original, no se la cantidad de contenido que se recortó para el remake, lo que sí creo es que en la linea del anterior, la calidad del juego es innegable. No llega al nivel de excelencia ni sorpresa, al ser más corta y de un único personaje, pero decir que no es notable sería mentir.

    As someone with little experience in the REverse, I thought the game was pretty good. It looks and sounds really good, gameplay is solid. I felt stressed out the entire time, which I believe is the intended result (granted, I'm a baby with horror games). Yes, it it short, but what is contained is pretty decent. Worth at least a quick playthrough, if nothing else.

    A remake of the same re 3 from 1999, the pluses of the game are good animations, graphics, well, the main points from re 3, the minuses are very easy difficulty even inferno, very short campaign, a lot of cut content from re 3, average capcom resident!

Los zombies siguen dando esos sustos ahora acompañado de unas calles de Racoon city laberínticas plagada de callejones, puertas y detalle, mucho detalle. Hay poco que decir de sus gráficos. Sencillamente geniales y que para un título de estas características soy de la opinión de que cuanto mejor se vea, más creíble es y mejor es la experiencia. RE3 Remake cumple con las expectativas.
    Música
    - En el apartado musical y efecto sonoros. Nos encontramos de la misma forma que con los gráficos en un entorno inmersivo, Que nos proporciona esos picos de tensión y esos momentos de calma. Las armas y los zombies también suenan geniales. Todos los elemntos auditivos que se pueden encontrar en el juego contribuyen notablemente a la fluidez del juego, acompañan a la tensión y a la acción de manera simbiótica perfectamente orquestada.

    Multijugador
    - El multijugador es de aquellas cosas que si bien no molesta que estén, tampoco habríamos notado su ausencia. RE Resitance es muy descafeinado. No aporta, faltan personas en el Matchmaking, es poco creíble. En definitiva es un apartado que en mi caso no me ha interesado nada pero tampoco hay ningún elemento que me invite a seguir jugando al multijugador. No es atrayente.
    Duración
    - Es un juego muy corto, de ahí el intento de incluir el multijugador. Al tratarse de un juego de mucha más acción que el 2, con mucho menos componente de exploración y más frenético. Te pasarás la mayor parte del juego corriendo. No quiero decir con esto que por ser un juego corto sea malo. En absoluto es malo si bien es cierto que se siente una vez terminado que falta algo más que apenas te has puesto con él. Entiendo que aumentando el nivel de dificultad aumente la duracción, pero en puzzles y exploración seguirá siendo un juego pobre en este apartado, aunque el original tampoco destacaba por ser un juego largo precisamente.
    Traducción

    Un Resident Evil con todas las letras. No he jugado el clásico, no me importa tampoco, no soy un purista ni mucho menos, por lo que paso de compararlo. Se puede decir que desde Capcom son unos maestros sacándole partido a sus creaciones. Algo que en mi opinión debería hacer tambien Konami. Saldríamos ganando los jugadores. El RE Engine que debutó en Resident Evil VII sigue    Buen Juego

    Un Resident Evil con todas las letras. No he jugado el clásico, no me importa tampoco, no soy un purista ni mucho menos, por lo que paso de compararlo.

    Se puede decir que desde Capcom son unos maestros sacándole partido a sus creaciones. Algo que en mi opinión debería hacer tambien Konami. Saldríamos ganando los jugadores. El RE Engine que debutó en Resident Evil VII sigue funcionando de lujo. El juego se ve genial y mola bastante. Su prinicpal inconveniente es que quizás se hace corto. Pero tambien es verdad que en esta era de juegos de varias decenas de horas de partida se agradece algo más escueto, para bajar la pila de pendientes.

    El juego nos ofrece lo típico, historia ambientada en Racoon City inmediatamente despues de la historia del Resident Evil original, concretamente unos minutos antes de que Leon llegue a la comisaría en Resident Evil 2. Centrándose la historia en Jill Valetine, una S.T.A.R.S. que está en su apartamento cuando la emieza a perseguir Némesis, un bicho terrible que lo que quiere es acabar con tocos los S.T.A.R.S. y ella es la última, por lo que la perseguirá sin descanso mientras ella intenta hacerse con la vacuna para terminar con el caos que envuelve a la ciudad.

    El juego es un shooter de terror en tercera persona, donde tendremos que superar varios niveles en diferentes localizaciones tratando de resolver los puzzles para avanzar, matando zombies y otras abominaciones o bien huyendo de ellos, lo que nos permita la munición que llevemos. La gestión de un limitado inventario tambien será una interesante mecánica contra la que tendremos que luchar.

    Aparte del juego base que puede rejugarse para conseguir coleccionables y demás incluye Resident Evil:Resistance que es otro juego cooperativo en tercera persona que se centra en la experiencia multijugador y al que se le pueden dar unas horas, aumentando la vida útil del producto.

    Pues con todo esto me parece una excelente adición a la colección de Resident Evil que ya está disponible para la consola de Sony. Recomendado a los fans de la saga de Capcom    … Expand

I seldom had to go out of my way to find hidden items or secret areas. RE3 also provides an abundance of items and ammo to get through presented challenges; a stark contrast to RE2. RE3's crafting system is identical to RE2 and works extremely well. The player has full control over what types of ammo they want to prioritize crafting. RE3 also switches between two playable characters: Jill and Carlos. The swaps do not feel out of place in the story, and each character plays differently because of their different weapons. The character swap also resets some of the urgency in scouring the world for items. While playing Jill, I knew I had quantitative reserves of healing materials and ammo in my storage. Some of the early boss encounters with Nemesis are obtuse in design but climatic battles with it later in the game are well done. My most memorable moment has to be the final showdown with Nemesis and Jill’s on point one-liner. Overall, Resident Evil 3 provides a short but succinct, well-presented story with great gameplay.… Expand

    This game is incredible. The pacing, the gameplay, the characters, every aspect of this game is incredible. It is a little too short compared to RE2 and the price is a little bit high for a 5-hour game but it has a lot of replayability and it is super fun to play.

    The upgrades and rewards systems are likewise actually attainable without being ultra-expert level player (like RE2R required) nor playing for a million hours. With moderate to generous repeated gameplay, you can achieve enough weapon kills and other reward points to unlock funner stuff — including the RE trademark infinite weapons which always make for a fun playthrough. There's also a very fun fire knife called Hot Dogger that won't ever break and will set enemies ablaze briefly with every strike.    … Expand

    I love this game, Resident Evil 2 and 3 totally brought me back to R E. The only complaint people have with this game is that it's short, take your time with it, embrace the survival aspect and play it on normal and not easy and it'll take you 6-9 hours to beat it. I took my time with it and beat it in 12. I hope they make those god awful 4 and 5 entries like this and maybe those willI love this game, Resident Evil 2 and 3 totally brought me back to R E.     I'd rate this game a solid 8 or 9, it's massively underrated though, so I'll give it a 10. Nice story and locations, great graphics, a very good graphics plus a great gameplay. I'd highly recommend for any survival horrors fan.

    If you don't try to compare this game to the PSX version, you are going to enjoy this game. If you want to see an exact copy of the original game but with new graphics, this game is not for you.

    To me Resident Evil 3 was just a step up from RE2 it was a lot more fun/action packed. Definitely a little scarier, especially when that big ass nemesis comes charging at you. Highly recommend this game if you played RE2.

It's so awesome being able to see more of Racoon City compared to RE2 Remake, and Nemesis is such a cool antagonist that's super impressive to not only see but constantly be running from. While the encounters with Nemisis don't have the spontaneous aspect of Mr.X/ Tyrant from RE2 Remake, Nemisis is just soDespite the shorter length, I really enjoyed my time with Resident Evil 3 Remake. As the gunplay in RE3 R is perfect, your not OP and always on the back foot making the wins feel very relieving. Its just as Survival horror combst should be. This game has received alot of critisism and most is fair, I guess the floors are wirse for some than other. I liked it.    … Expand

    ofc it isn't a perfect game but it's pretty nice. Resident Evil 3 remake feels like a good old action movie with great special effects and the protagonist is fckn amazing. I truly love Jill. Her voice and lines are brilliant (and her look is wonderful but I don't really care)

    I may have given this game a lower score if I had paid full price, but for the $20 I paid, this game is terrific. I actually prefer a shorter RE experience, and this delivered some great gameplay, story and visuals. A solid entry.

    It's stunning and a great revisitation of the old classic (which I played when I was young on PS1).
    However, with the full price tag it's also disappointing for today's gaming standards.
    It would have been better as a DLC for the RE2 remake, as it feels like one.

I hate how little space you have here in resident evil 3.. sure you can find upgrade pouches, but it just never feels like enough space, especially when new guns can take up multiple spaces and even quest items take up spaces which really just shoulnt be a thing in any game… though it does add to the scarcity feeling, do I ant this ammo or do I want to keep my healing items… its just as a map cleaner, its annoying..
    Overall though I enjoyed Resident Evil 3… if youre going into it expecting more resident evil 2, you wont get it..youll be disappointed in its length and more action feel..resident evil 3 like every other resident evil its its own experience and I for one like that.. Resident Evil Resistance also comes with resident evil 3, but ill be reviewing that mode separately.

The only time people defend the original in its gameplay mechanics are the time when they cannot put aside their nostalgic goggles.     They did cut content is about the only legitimate complaint. Start to finish, RE3 make is only a little shorter than original RE3. The launch price of $30 is a little steep considering the cut content. But now the price is $30-40 which is perfect.

    What’s here is fantastic. Even though it’s a complete remake, it captures the magic and feel of the original. Just as they did with RE2. The replayability is very high and the pace is noteworthy. I can’t recall the last time I played a game with pacing as good as this. Just as RE2 was my game of the year 2019, this is my game of the year 2020. 9/10    … Expand

Even when they are slow, zombies move erratically, and it's not as easy to make headshots, so you want to take your time while dealing with them since ammunition is somewhat scarce.

    The evade action is back and thankfully, it is now a unique button to activate it. Foes telegraph their movements with manageable clarity, however, a type of enemy that appears in the middle of the campaign can be unfairly punishing as it is pretty quick and their attack patterns too irregular. Nonetheless, this mechanic is useful and fun to master.

    Nemesis is still a force to be reckoned with, so you will likely run from him whenever he appears or attack him with grenades to get useful loot. Since the camera is not fixed and you have better mobility, these encounters are a little easier than the original so, they also threw zombies to limit your space. I also like that all the boss battles are focused on Nemesis, and every time you beat him he's angrier in the next one, it makes this "rivalry" more organic as if Nemesis is trying to kill Jill not only because he is programmed to but because of a grudge, it’s not only better handled but it makes the plot moving forward.

    I never felt like I was being stalked or chased by Nemesis ever. Each time he appeared was too obvious and unsurprising that it felt scripted, not that in the original you couldn’t tell when he was going to attack but here, the clues are way too evident. Still, his chases were fun even when you were waiting for them to start.

    Normal difficulty is a little challenging but not too much to the point that you’re most likely see a few continue screens here and there, but also not so easy that you’ll be wandering around as if you owned the place. Ammunition and health items are kind of limited but I didn’t encounter a time where I needed bullets. Here’s where the new remakes try to balance horror and action and at least for this game, in particular, it is in a safe middle ground with a small lean towards action, so in the end, even when it is good, it never excels with the horror nor the action. Yet, as I say, it plays in a comfortable middle ground, so it is still a great time, just maybe a little too comfortable.

    The story on this remake is more or less the same, but it has some tweaks that made it more appealing to modern sensibilities, you will also find some differences between the original and this game so “veterans” will get some new stuff too.

    The length of the campaign is similar to the original: short, depending on your difficulty and your experience with this type of game you'll likely complete your first run in 7 to 9 hours, so it is a short game compared to other AAA or big studio games. The game is also "bundled" with a download for a multiplayer complement called Resident Evil: Resistance, on which 4 vs 1 player matches take place, the premise sounded interesting but playing it was another story, it didn't help that all the other players were always too experienced and I was always the novice, so I did quit after some runs. I imagine this was Capcom's way to justify a $60 USD price for a game so short, I don't prefer this type of complements as in a few years when the servers are down you will no longer get access to it, but I imagine that other people would prefer it, so that's that.

    It may sound that I didn't like this game but I did enjoy it quite a lot, the things that I don't like are trivial for the most part, I'm not sure it is the definitive version to play part three of the series as it offers a lot of new stuff while cuts other from the original, but I prefer this remake better, it sure plays it safe but it also looks like a lot of the original intentions that couldn't make the cut were implemented while it maintains the original's essence. I don't think that its short campaign will appeal to everybody, but it has an arcade aura that challenges to play it faster and better that is kind of hard to not do it because of its short length, I still don't think that's enough to a $60 ticket, but I'm not an arcade person. As far as remakes go, this one might be one of the most respectful out there that also builds and propose new stuff from the source material, while maintaining its spirit. It is not hard to recommend it to both newcomers and veterans to the series, the plot is more centered on character development than its lore so is easy to pick it up and play without any before knowledge. Even when it has things I don't prefer, I like where this new direction is going and with some refinements and tweaks, I believe the future entries and remakes could achieve a true horror and action experience.    … Expand

    This is an excellent game. The gameplay is refined and the campaign flows well. Jill is well voice acted and her character design is great. The nemesis was the highlight of the game and the chase sequences are well made.
    My only criticism is that the game is short and feels more like outstanding DLC than a substantial game.

    I liked it a lot, in about 6 hours I completed the game in normal mode with all the locks open with the pick, I have explored the entire map without leaving anything. The story is good even a little better and more interesting than RE 2. The gameplay is the same but it incorporates the dodge, something that comes in handy in dangerous situations and the fighting is very frenzy with the bosses.

    Now for the let downs: Considering they used many assets from RE2:R and the poor game length the game deserves a downgrade in the score. I waited until the recent sale drop because I knew about this but for people not knowing about it, this is a big greed catcher. I played very defensive, got all areas cleaned, did it slow, tried to save ressources and it took me 6hrs on standard difficulty. If I knew I had so much ammo probably I could ve done it easily in 5hrs or less.

    Summary: RE3:R is a great game with perfect presentation in terms of visuals and sound design.The atmosphere is outstanding. Considering the game length, price, re-used assets and to an extinct the cut content it can be recommended but ONLY for at least a price drop of 50-60%. Everything else I would considera rip-off.     I give it 8 just to raise the average a bit, it's still a very narrow 8. Unfortunately his longevity, he casts a title that could very well have been a 10. The real score for me was 7.7.

    It's a great reimagining and an excellent game, but definitely not a remake. I paid full price for it and still don't regret it. I would describe the gameplay as a mixture of Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 4. It's more "on-rails" feeling than Resident Evil 2 Remake. Visually, the game is beautiful.

As a Resident for me it still a very delightful experience. I also miss some puzzles like the ones on the st Michael Clock tower, but not everything is bad. They included epic boss fights with nemesis that they are really enjoyable (better in Hardcore mode). They did an amazing job with the atmosphere, it's way more noticeable in this game because is the start of the infection, also the story has more drama and the characters fit perfectly in the game. I didn't talk about graphics, they are not important, but they are stunning. I love the ps1 classic and also this remake. both different and with different advantages and disadvantages. I have to comment my opinion about duration... The normal duration of a classic resident evil... 5h - 6h with a good pace exploring all, and if you are new and it is difficult for you 8h or more. RE7 is shorter, and worse in some aspects (i like so much re7, just commenting) People don't be toxic, I have to rate this game as a game. Giving 0 TO EVERY GAME is not helpful for people that are going to pay money for the game. Before buy read and investigate.

    Like many of you, I have played the original game, and I have been a long time fan of the franchise and though it is true I would have LOVED to see more content like a Mercenaries mode after you finish or more unlockable content, but let's be real...this is a great game. Jill is as awesome and well acted as ever and her design is top notch. The Nemesis encounters always vary as he is constantly evolving throughout the game and learns from each time you manage to defeat him. The character of Carlos is much better and a lot more complex and likeable as well than it was in the 1999 game.
    So I understand that some old-school fans wanted more puzzles and a longer campaign with less action but this is 2020, games are a lot faster paced these days and linear acton titles are more cinematic than ever with the spectacular visuals. And the game sales prove they were right as this remake is selling more copies for Capcom than any of ther titles before. Sure the second game's flawless remake has a lot to do with it as well, but if you're a fan of the series and Jill, you should like this game!     I think the game really finds it's footing once you leave the downtown area. That's when you get the "what's around the next corner" feeling. I'm a fan of Jill, but surprisingly, I found the Carlos segments to be my favorite parts of the game.
    People complain about the short playtime, but i think it's just about right. Some games are so long these days. It's nice to play a game with a fully satisfying and complete story that doesn't require such a time commitment. But I get people being upset with the full $60 pricetag - which is why I waited for the sale. I can't comment on the multi player addition, but I don't really care to play it.
    If they can keep this kind of quality going, I can't even fathom how good the RE4 remake will be. Let's just keep our fingers crossed.    … Expand

    This game has a Resident Evil 4 feeling, which is my favorite of the RE franchise.
    Of course, people was specting something more like Resident Evil 2 Remake, and get frustrated. But, if you like Resident Evil, you must play this game.

    Resident Evil 3 has moments that shine. The main flaws of the game are its length and replayability factor. Definitely a step down from the Resident Evil 2 remake. It would be worth purchasing on sale, unless capcom decides to add dlc content to beef up the length.

    This game was fun to play. The story, characters and environment were all awesome but its easy to tell the game was rushed. Even the fantastic gore from Resident Evil 2 Remake was removed? I enjoyed this game a lot but it had opportunity to be so much more than what it was. Fortunately i had a lot of fun with it, but for a $60 game its disappointing compared to Re2. 84/100

    After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
