    Nice short game but it’s extremely lacking if you compare it to the original, it’s a sad thing because I have been waiting 20 years for a team air

    I can't imagine paying full price for this. Fortunately, I waited until it was $20. It lacks that grounded atmosphere of Resident Evil 2 REmake. It's also very linear and a good deal of the enemy encounters are scripted, which is not only a step back from the previous game's encounters with Mr. X but also from its consistent enemy placement. In RE2 REmake, if a room has two zombies in itI can't imagine paying full price for this. Fortunately, I waited until it was $20. It lacks that grounded atmosphere of Resident Evil 2 REmake. It's also very linear and a good deal of the enemy encounters are scripted, which is not only a step back from the previous game's encounters with Mr. X but also from its consistent enemy placement. In RE2 REmake, if a room has two zombies in it and another has a five, you make a mental note and constantly strategize the safest path to progress. In RE3 REmake, you either zip by zombie encounters with an explosive barrel or finicky dodging, or you may find yourself passing through a room of zombies and when you return, it's empty. RE2 REmake's moment-to-moment combat just feels better to play.

    RE3 REmake is also absurdly short. I was able to beat it in less than 5 hours on standard difficulty and even quicker on hardcore mode. There are no other game modes included - however, there is a separate free online game, Resident Evil: Resistance, but that's a whole other 20+GB download (and, technically, a separate game).    … Expand

    It's a super cozy and short experience. I wish they added some like great CLOCK-TOWER content in the game, but honestly, it's all good and the game play and style is fantastic.

    I've been missing the cheesy B-movie greatness of the Resident Evil games so it was fantastic having this one just commit to it. Not perfect, not the longest game ever but damn, I found it incredibly enjoyable    It's a super cozy and short experience. I wish they added some like great CLOCK-TOWER content in the game, but honestly, it's all good and the game play and style is fantastic.

    I've been missing the cheesy B-movie greatness of the Resident Evil games so it was fantastic having this one just commit to it.

    At heart, this is not a bad game. I did have fun with this game. I like the zombies are not bullet sponges, the RE engine runs well w/ this game, the enemy variety is much better, and the writing, weapons mods and the Nemesis are better. But this is not a $60 game. The campaign is too short (my runs were between 4.5 hrs for the 1st run and under 3 hrs the 2nd). The scoring system is aAt heart, this is not a bad game. I did have fun with this game. I like the zombies are not bullet sponges, the RE engine runs well w/ this game, the enemy variety is much better, and the writing, weapons mods and the Nemesis are better. But this is not a $60 game. The campaign is too short (my runs were between 4.5 hrs for the 1st run and under 3 hrs the 2nd). The scoring system is a little unfair (Highest I got on normal was a B for under 3hrs, 2 deaths, no saves, and no infinite ammo weapons). Online RE will never be a thing. I am still upset they cut an hour to two hours story mode and Mercenaries mode to focus on RE online. Finally, and no one is talking about this, there were no multiple epilogues like at the end of the original RE3. I was take it or leave it w/ the choice system or two separate endings.… Expand

    Great game. Only problem is its too short and they cut a few maps/levels from original game. Nemesis is scary and encounters are fun but but chase sequences are boring and scripted which takes away much of the horror.

    Resident evil 3 starts off brightly with it's opening area highlighting all the strengths of peak Re2 but quickly falls off after that. The new dodge move is a fun additional mechanic but it does take the game away from survival horror towards an action game which some may not enjoy. The latter areas in RE3 are either really small or linear hallways with a few branching hallways. While RE2Resident evil 3 starts off brightly with it's opening area highlighting all the strengths of peak Re2 but quickly falls off after that. The new dodge move is a fun additional mechanic but it does take the game away from survival horror towards an action game which some may not enjoy. The latter areas in RE3 are either really small or linear hallways with a few branching hallways. While RE2 was built around one main area RE3 takes you all over Racoon city and the quality of the game suffers for it as no area is truly big enough to capture the magic of RE2 minus the first area. Nemesis the Mr X stand in makes the box art but it clearly shows a misunderstanding on what made Mr X so great. Mr X was used only a handful of times so every time he showed up he was imposing and each foot step could make you shudder. Nemesis on the other hand feels like he's in half the game and while early encounters are tense by the end you will be sick of his ugly mug. What aids that is some encounters are far to easy dissipating the tension that Mr X created so well. Jill is an enjoyable protagonist and the supporting cast all fulfill their roles diligently but there are no stand outs. The length has come under fire as while it is about as long as an RE2 campaign there are 4 in Re2 compared to the one here. There are no bonus missions present here either. Overall RE3 is a game worth playing but is disappointing due to how great it starts and how averagely it ends.… Expand

There is no sense of dread like in the previous remake, I'm just running around in circles shooting explosive barrels. Maybe i had high expectations, but i still feel that this game needed more time.     This game is a regression from the RE2 remake, but it does not make it a bad game. Some of the things I hate, any man others too, is quick time events which this game has an abundance of.     If you were a fan of the RE2 remake, you'll probably enjoy this as well, at least to a certain extent. It's definitely not as expansive or fleshed out as RE2 and some people are upset about content being cut, but I think the game is still a really enjoyable experience overall. It's got some really tense and interesting moments, and some solid level design. It's not gonna blow your mind orIf you were a fan of the RE2 remake, you'll probably enjoy this as well, at least to a certain extent. It's definitely not as expansive or fleshed out as RE2 and some people are upset about content being cut, but I think the game is still a really enjoyable experience overall.     As far for the rest, for me was okey, graphics, sound, characters, etc. definitely a must have game, but not for full price.

    BTW, the online feature its a mess, i didnt try it, its was really unnecessary and i think nobody plays it to much. waste of time and money on that part that should have been invested in the main game. a shame.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a whole, I feel the game is a solid 7/7.5 outta 10. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. It doesn't surpass the original for me, that'll always be my favorite RE. But it does a damn fine job of merging the two styles of RE into one little package. The game is really fun to play with the new mechanics at your disposal. The visuals are wonderfully detailed and vibrant, a stark contrast to the subdued hues of Remake 2. Splashes of color illuminate the chaos and despair Raccoon City finds itself in. Oh, and the score is beautifully redone for this retelling of RE 3. Each piece is haunting, adding tension to the locale and situations Jill finds herself unfolding.

    With all that being said, I understand everyones gripes with the game. I may not share all of them such as the games length, but I feel some are pretty glaring:

    . I feel as though they've could have merged the Park and Clock Tower as one area for us to explore, rather than just have it as a boss arena. It wouldn't have to have been both entire maps either, but something a little more substantial than just a backdrop for a boss would've been nice. Maybe you go through the Park to get to the Clock Tower because a rescue helicopter is stationed at the courtyard. You arrive only to find that Nemmy in his second form has annihilated the rescue team and you have to scale the tower to escape him.

    . I REALLY wish they did more with Nemesis in the areas where you could explore. (Especially in his first form.) Asides from the Raccoon City streets, you're never actively pursued by him other than scripted sequences. I get why it was done for pacing reasons since it would've been way to stressful the entire time but still would've greatly enhanced his presence.

    .The last one for me is the lack of The Mercenaries. That was such a nice little bonus when you first unlock it in OG RE 3 that the R3make feels admittedly incomplete without it. Hell, RE 2R had all of its old modes in some capacity, so it's especially jarring. I truly hope that Capcom can add it down the line in an update like they did with the Ghost Survivors.

    Other than those, the only thing I would add are some more costumes and such. R3make is a fine game, I love it to bits. The characters feel more real than they've ever been and the story keeps you hooked throughout the duration. But it could've been even better with perhaps more time in the oven.    … Expand

This game moves from place to place far too often without creating an engrossing world to explore. It feels like the game keeps pushing you forward unlike the slow, intense pace of REmake 2. Nearly no new maps, they simply placed more zombies to somewhat make the play-through harder and worthwhile, but it obviously didn't work and never could.
    While a lot of players hate Konami, I remember when Metal Gear Survive    I'll have to agree with the reviews saying 'this shouldn't be considered a separate game but a dlc instead' because it's just too short, too small and too pricey. Nearly no new maps, they simply placed more zombies to somewhat make the play-through harder and worthwhile, but it obviously didn't work and never could.
    While a lot of players hate Konami, I remember when Metal Gear Survive was released, they at least had the decency of lowering its price, while the game was intended for endless hours of immersive fun. As for RE3, it's pure cash grab.

    Um remake interessante, uma história boa e vários momentos de ação frenética, parece um filme dos anos 80. O único ponto negativo é o fato do terem removido várias localidades e inimigos do jogo clássico de 1999, a Capcom foi preguiçosa, deviam ter acrescentado mais coisas do jogo antigo nesse remake.

After finishing the RE3 remake this morning, I can’t recommend the game at its current price point. $60 is really steep for something that can be beat in less than 6 hours while offering very little reason to go back and beat it again.     Simplemente bien... Poco rejugable... si, otra vez la misma historia con mas dificultad/enemigos en otro sitio.... No es LeonA - Leon B - Claire A - Claire B.... Es el 2 remake pero con 3 cosas nuevas y poco mas. Un poquito decepcion. Ahun así es un buen juego sin ninguna duda.

    Resident Evil 2 Is atmospheric intense and horrifying at some point, Resident Evil 3 is the big action movie explosion ending, I like these games on different points I would say they are at combo for each other ,you really get the best experience if you play them both, For whites it does not reach the height of Resident Evil 2 I would say that Resident Evil 3 is more replayable

Yes, is a lot shorter than RE2 but the point of the resident evil clasics was to test how fast you can escape.     + A free online mode included.
    + Game feels so smooth to play, very well optimized.
    + Great cutscenes. Good story & characters.
    + Zombie dismemberment is still there. You can chop their hands or their legs.
    + Good replay value

    Cons:
    - No Mercenaries mode.
    - Some cut content that's irreplaceable like the clock tower (now it's just a boss arena).
    - Much fewer puzzles than RE2
    - Gore has been reduced; for example, you can't see body parts on the ground, you can't cut a zombie in half with a shotgun, and you can't dismember a zombie if it's "dead". However, dismemberment still exists.
    - Missed opportunity to bring back multiple choices and have Jill take different paths to reach her goals like in the original.
    - Raccoon City and Nemesis are very underused.
    - Very few costumes.
    - Wasted potential, the remake could have been much better.

    Overall, it's a good game. It feels short & underused, but it's well done overall.    … Expand

Porque el juego tiene mucho potencial (buenos gráficos, buen sonido, quizás el mejor desarrollo de personajes dentro de un juego de RE) pero es tanto el contenido recortado que termina pareciendo un DLC de RE2. El juego dura aprox. entre 4 y 6 horas (explorando todo a fondo, que tampoco hay tanto) los encuentros con Nemesis perdieron esa aleatoriedad que tenía en la versiónEs una pena. Porque el juego tiene mucho potencial (buenos gráficos, buen sonido, quizás el mejor desarrollo de personajes dentro de un juego de RE) pero es tanto el contenido recortado que termina pareciendo un DLC de RE2. El juego dura aprox. entre 4 y 6 horas (explorando todo a fondo, que tampoco hay tanto) los encuentros con Nemesis perdieron esa aleatoriedad que tenía en la versión Original y que tanto terror nos daba (Similar a lo que se hizo con Mr. X en el remake del 2 y que tan bien funcionó)

    By breaking it down in this fashion, hopefully you'll gain a better understanding of why players and critics are so split on the title.

    Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PS1) was always a bit of a departure from its previous installments. Survival action picked up and the game became a bit linear (though there were branching segments). In this regard, RE3: Remake feels like instead of giving you branching arcs, the developers felt compelled to keep channeling the player towards the next objective. This minimizes the amount of backtracking which artifically expanded the gameplay time RE2 and RE7 had. Instead, it's all about escaping as quickly as possible. And, while detractors will find this change annoying, even playing "casually," exploring every nook and cranny along the way, I still found my first play through to be on par with the original. Yes, several aspects of the storytelling have changed. And RE continuity purists are rightfully upset about those changes. However, in the grander scheme of bringing the game forward 21 years, I can understand why those changes occurred; even if I don't agree with them.

    As my mentioned previously, the game's run cycle for a single run through is definitely shorter than previous installments. When stacking this game up against them, even the original was drastically shorter. People tend to forget that this was Capcom's "Bridge Baby" (no relation to Hideo Kojima's ;) ) while the developer worked on Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Thus, RE3 was always intended to be used to gauge how respective players would be with more action, less backtracking, and quicker gun play. I would challenge anyone upset with this fact to go back and play Nemesis to feel the comparison to its peers, then come back again to evaluate how similar RE3: Remake is for the current generation.

    Fans of the series, and perhaps even new comers will definitely feel the difference as the series was setting up to jump into a new generation (Sega Dreamcast, PS2 and Gamecube). Still visually stunning, full of detail, solid game play mechanics, RE3: Remake will undoubtedly end up just like Nemesis. Loved for the villain, praised for for its strong female protagonist, yet ultimately overshadowed because its departure and playtime ultimately falls short when compared. At least bundled with this is Capcom's experimental multiplayer survival mode which honestly hasn't received the love it deserves. It's an interesting concept which, if people would stop emotionally reacting to everything else, deserves to recognized as Capcom's first solid attempt to bring a cooperative, survival online element into a the RE universe that isn't just a cash grab.

    tl;dr - Yes it's shorter than RE2 and RE7. Nemesis was shorter than RE1 and RE2 in the 90s. It's still an enjoyable experience and I would recommend it. Try playing it before reviewing it from YouTube videos.    … Expand

    Оценка низкая лишь из-за невероятной коротизны игры, но об этом было сказано уже много слов. Стоимость должна быть на 70% ниже той, что за неё просят, тогда это было бы справедливо. Игры интересная, но хотелось бы больше.

    I quite enjoyed it.
    So far, I’ve played Re2 remaster, Re6 and this one. Here’s how I see it:

    Re2 remaster was more polished. Longer, more interesting story. 9/20

    Re6 is my fav Resident Evil game so far 10/10. Amazing story, a great game.

    This one is lacking quite a bit, but definitely far away from being a garbage. Wait for the sale and enjoy a good horror game.

    The game is very disappointing, inferior in all aspects of the second part. Why was it necessary to cut so much content compared to the original? From horror turned the game into an action movie! Only out of respect for the series I put 7 points..

    I understand the original wasn't long but it had replayable value. Randomizer was amazing in the original and those choices were small but still good phasing. but in this one, it feels more scripted. For the best experience start with hard mode and after that Nightmare difficulty is actually really fun! Nemesis is really well scripted in Nightmare mode.
    Game's first half is amazing but it loses steam towards the end.

    I will say the bad stuff first.
    -The game feels more scripted than the original.
    -I wanted more Nemesis (this is an actually big thing for me)
    -Short length, my first playthrough was 7 hours Yea my RE7 was 7 hours also but it feels like the overall phasing isn't there it feels rushed. I just wanted more..
    -Cut places and bosses from the original (Re2Remake had the same problem)
    -Some iconic cutscenes or story bits were removed.( Re2 remake had the same problem)

    Good stuff
    -Nemesis introduction IS **** AMAZING and those small action pieces I love you Nemi.
    -Filling those lose bits that were in RE2 Remake.
    -Details oooooh all the details that were in the original!
    -Face details. Cutscenes are actually good and the acting!
    -Original soundtrack! hell to the **** yes! the saferoom theme, thank you Capcom!
    -Jill is beautiful and badass, those new character designs are really good! (especially Mikhail and Nikolai!)

Along the way, Jill will meet Carlos Oliveira, and together, they will try to find a way to survive the terrible events. And more I don't say to spoil the surprise to those who never played the original.

    Resident Evil 3, like the remake of Resident Evil 2, uses the excellent game engine RE Engine and, as you would expect, says goodbye to the fixed cameras of the first Resident Evil. The third-person camera maintains the proximity to the style presented in the remake of Resident Evil 2, and also provides greater realism and immersion, without losing the visual essence of the original game.

    When we start the adventure, we can choose between three levels of difficulty: Assisted, Standard and Hardcore. What are the diferences? In Assisted, players have aim assist, recover a certain amount of life automatically, enemies are relatively weak, start the game with an assault rifle and receive more ammunition when crafting. Standard is the typical normal difficulty. In Hardcore, enemies are stronger, ammunition and items are scarcer and crafting gives less ammunition. Newcomers to the Resident Evil series can start with Assisted or Standard to get used to it, but veterans will certainly move to Hardcore soon.

    Avoid spending bullets on zombies, use on bosses instead, especially in the most advanced difficulty, is the best option. For those who already know the Resident Evil series, weapons like pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers and grenade launchers are present in this remake. The same goes for healing items, such as Green and Red herbs.

    In terms of gameplay, it is very similar to the remake of Resident Evil 2, so anyone who liked this title will have a huge smile playing this remake. It's fun to explore Raccon City with this super smooth and fluid gameplay. It should be noted that Jill has the dodge mechanics as they had in the original game, which makes sense, since he is an operative with more training than Leon and Claire. However, there is a difference. Now, when executing a perfect dodge, the action slows for a few moments, thus giving an opportunity to counterattack.

    Graphically, it maintains the same graphic quality as the remake of Resident Evil 2. For those who are fans of this series or games of this genre, it is quite satisfying to see the pale and lifeless faces of the zombies, as well as the detail of their wounds, and the way they are staggering towards us. The same goes for zombie dogs and other monsters. The characters and enemies underwent redesigns in order to modernize their look, as is the case with Jill, Carlos and Nemesis. In the case of Jill, there was a positive redesign in my opinion. I know this might be awkward for some fans of the old design, but the Jill Valentine of the original looks more like a character in the James Bond films, whereas in the remake version, I feel like she really is a character of Resident Evil universe.

    As for the differences between the original and the remake, one with great impact is the absence of different endings and choices that affect the course of the adventure. This ends up having a consequence in the game's longevity, because there is less incentive to repeat the campaign. In addition, the Mercenaries mode has also been cut from the remake, further reducing single-player content. In place of this mode is Resident Evil Resistant, a 4 v 1 multiplayer mode.

    It is certainly funny to see Nemesis trying to hit us with a Rocket Launcher, but I think the tension in the original has been reduced. Even Syndrome, which was a terrible game, showed more tension, despite its technical mistakes being even more frightening. Yes, the songs in this remake are good and fit well in different situations, but nothing more than that. The short campaign and the absence of any single-player content is also not in favor. Resident Evil 3 is a good game, but it could have been a lot better if certain things hadn't been cut.    … Expand

    Resident Evil 3 feels more of a repeat of Resident Evil 2, except everything done worse. Nemesis was a badly thought out villain who wasn't as terrifying or bad as Capcom made him out to be. The game was too short, and the pacing was off. Overall I was really disappointed with Resident Evil 3.

    As a RE3 fan I enjoyed the game. There is a lot of replay value here. My biggest gripes are the length is a bit short. The final form boss fight is either laughable on lower difficulty’s, or living hell on the hardest difficulty. It becomes a pattern repetition game that just doesn’t fit in this game. I would buy if you’re a fan of the series, and skip if you’re new to RE

    At times I really enjoyed it, the characters, Raccoon city atmosphere etc, it looks great and is slick but is very short, has a couple of clunky unenjoyable battles with hunters and excludes content from the original, clock tower, the water works and the park. Great to see Jill back however!!! Jill Valentine IS resident evil!

    The game is not bad, but it's rushed and it's visible. Super short, without the gimmicks from 2-remake, with the cut story. It's still fun to play once you find it on the sale because it's a solid game. But it's definitely weaker than the previous remake, unfortunately.

    Only 3.5 hours on my FIRST playthrough is disappointing, to say the least. I'm glad I bought it on sale and didn't pay the full price! It's alright, although not as good as the remake of 2.

    Это комплимент игре, если что!
    Мне не очень, ё моё, вообще не понравился главный, ё моё, единственный босс игры. Бои с ним скучны. Какая, никакая тактика, появляется только в финальной битве.
    К тому же в игре, практически не разъясняется, кто такой, такая, короче, такое этот Немезис. И главное, почему он гоняется именно за нашей бабой. А также, почему он не может её никак убить, если выносит на раз, не хилых таких, статистов. В макулатуре, можно кой чего найти, но ничего конкретного.
    Теперь о вонючем. Ну куда ж мы, без плохих русских. "Русских" антагонистов, американцы видят исключительно жадными, подлыми, лживыми, самолюбивыми идиотами. Короче такими, какими являются сами в реальной жизни. Ведь сама суть США, зиждется на деньгах. Все последние войны, америкосы начинали из-за бабла, нарушая договоры, обманывая всех пробирками, называя себя исключительными! У меня есть деньги - значит я прав! Это их девиз. Я понимаю, что игру делали японцы, но для американского рынка и я думаю, янки их сильно "консультировали".
    Если кто сомневается в подмене понятий, обратите внимание на последнюю Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 года.
    Теперь о смешном. Не знаю почему, но в русской версии, пистолет Magnum .44 AE, упорно называют револьвером. Пистолет и револьвер, это совершенно разное оружие, общее у них только понятие ствол.
    А в принципе, если откинуть эту шелуху, получилась неплохая игра. Советую всем, особенно тем, кто не играл в оригинал, как я. Игра не длинная (прошел за 7 часов с небольшим), не успевает надоесть.    … Expand

Redeeming qualities include the thoughtful way in which the evolution of the Nemesis occurred and the almost seamless integration of cutscenes into gameplay which made for exciting moments in the story (which was somewhat bland).     After the Fantastic RE2 Remake that released early last year, my anticipation for this remake was through the roof. RE3 was my favorite amongst the PS1 RE games. So it goes without saying that this title was going to improve and build upon one of the best RE games.     I finished the game in under 5 hours and It didn't feel like a whole game, it felt like a DLC.

    90% of the encounters with Nemesis were turned into scripted action boss fights and cut scenes that weren't even close to how scary and stressful the original RE3 encounters were.
    Also one thing that made me upset from the beginning was that the devs used the same zombies from RE2R, as a hardcore RE fan who has played RE2R many times, I felt like the zombies were normalized and weren't even scary anymore, I expected to see at least one redesigned zombie with a different style, but I didn't.

    The game is 2 times shorter than re2. Plus there is too much action. I cannot even call this game a horror. Mr X was better than Nemesis because Nemesis could jump and run, which made him too imbalanced.
    From technical point of view this game is even better than re2. Buy it, but it is better to wait for discount. Re2 still remains the best resident evil game.

    Resident Evil 3 has moments that shine. The main flaws of the game are its length and replayability factor. Definitely a step down from the Resident Evil 2 remake. It would be worth purchasing on sale, unless capcom decides to add dlc content to beef up the length.

This is, probably, the weakest of the recent Resident Evil entries, but that is saying something about the series since I am still giving it a 7.

    What is great about the game are the new story beats, new areas that are shown, further diving into the lore of the universe that wasn't expanded on in the original. If anything, I'd say this is kind of like... well, imagine a recut of a movie. The content in this game adds to the original. It adds overall. I feel like it is almost like a different campaign to the original game. New content. New twists. New characters and deaths. It is fresh, fun and worth your time.

    I Have finished the game 2 times for now, first walkthrough "hardcore" difficulty, then assisted for some more achievements, knowing then the game, this is what I think of it:

    Pros:
    - The graphic is great

    - The environment is very well made, every assets really is fitting perfectly in the game, RC in the beginning is outstanding!

    - The combat system response is great and very accurate, it is really enjoyable killing zombies, which is 50% of what RE is about, isnt it?

    - I liked the story, it flows well, so the characters and their interactions

    Cons:
    - The playthrough is kinda short, I have finished it in 8 hours at "hardcore" and I am a slow player when it comes to single player games because I like enjoying visually the environments, reading stuffs etc etc. Then replayed it in "assist" mode, it took me 2 hours and a half knowing what to do. In standard difficulty an avarage player will beat it in 5 hours or less as a first run. Seems more like DLC lenght then a standalone game.

    - no real puzzle, the ones inside doesn't give any challenge, they just pretend to be problem solving minigames but they are not. This sucked

    - The game is too linear, and scripted, it is like watching a movie (a good one), especially nemesis encounter which are great, but triggered every time by the game progresses . The exploration and the returns to the save room are very few, that is IMHO the worst problem in this game, that unique feeling of discovery and fear of returing into a zone because you died there many times before is nearly absent.

    - Many key zones of the original are missing, that's a pity, because with them it would have had more hours of playthrough, making it a great run.

    -Zombie's bad AI: kiting them between the doors and hiding in the next room withouth having them following you is really breaking immersion...and is bad!

    CONCLUSION:
    The game has flaws, many of them are HEAVY. that's a fact.
    That doesn't mean it must be thrown it in the garbage. It surely has its EPIC moments, and it is enjoyable especially if you don't think and compare it with RE2 while playing it!
    With more playthrough hours and some nice Puzzle it would have been a great game, but sadly they are not in the game, so it is passable/decent, nothing more nothing less.

    There is an ingame shop where you can buy infinite ammos and items which will help you going thorugh it again for better ratings which can be bought with virtual points completing the challenges , the problem is that there are not multiple endings, so it can be played again just for fun.

    With the game comes an online mode called RE Resistance, wich I have never tried because got bored during the tutorial. rofl.

Ele te empurra a terminar seus "capítulos" de maneira apressada, sem uma distribuição decente de inimigos, áreas delimitadas e curtas... a equipe que desenvolveu RE3 claramente não é a mesma do seu antecessor. E isto deixa claro a falta de cuidado com continuidade e reutilização de diversos detalhes, feitos de maneira pobre, infelizmente.

    Visualmente é incrível, o som também é um show a parte... os personagens principais ajudam a prender a atenção na trama pobre, principalmente o Carlos, claramente as melhores partes do game são protagonizadas por ele. O final é decepcionante... a briga entre Nicholai e os protagonistas sem inspiração nenhuma. O Nemesis tem seus momentos de brilho, mas ofuscados por transformações que tiram a personalidade do perseguidor, para algo mais bestial e sem carisma algum. Tenho muito mais temor de um brutamontes de 3 metros que persegue a Jill exaustivamente, do que um quadrúpede gigante e sem graça, com batalhas feitas em arenas circulares... estes momentos me lembraram bastante RE6 (e isso não é bom).

    Concluindo, é um jogo divertido que vale a pena jogar? Sim.
    Como fã, achei desapontante... mas pra quem quer passar o tempo e tomar alguns sustos, vale a pena. Infelizmente o preço é um absurdo para um jogo com duração tão curta... (6 horas em média).

    Prós:
    - Jill e Carlos são uma excelente dupla. Carisma total.
    - Jogabilidade de ação que funciona muito bem.
    - Gráficos lindos.

    Contras:
    - Duração questionável e cortes de contéudo sem sentido. ( Aonde foi parar a Minhoca Gigante?)

    If Capcom plans a Remake for Resident Evil 4, they absolutely will get the biggest hate they've ever received, as RE4 is one of the greatest games of all time with one of the most addicting game modes ever.

    So, is this a good game? It is. But it's defintely not worth the 60 Doller price tag. Wait for to drop to 20 $ and you'll have a short, but great time that's worth the penny.    … Expand

Most of the critics say the game is pretty short, i'm a regular fan from the series and it took me 7 hours to finish the game. The only negative part of the game for me is that Nemesis got his character development evolved really fast through the game, he needed to "shine" more.

    Yeah, I think it's a good time for survival horror.

    After the remake of RE2, I was completely onboard with the remaking of the original games as the RE2 remake was masterpiece in the survival horror genre of video games. However, after my first playthrough with RE3 remake I cannot help but feel that Capcom rushed the game out just to follow on the success of its predecessor. The major issues with the game is the total playtime and lack of replayability. I played majority of the game on the hardest difficulty and only clocked in about 7 hours. With some light research, when compared to the original game the remake is missing key parts that would have added to the total playtime, such as the branching paths or key locations in the game. Furthermore, the gameplay deviates from the survival horror genre as it has a more “actiony” feel to the gameplay. With readily available ammo and healing items. Because of this, the overall game felt more like an action zombie game rather than a horror survival, making the game feel really easy and boring. I recommend playing the game on the hardest difficulty to make it more challenging and resources a lot more scare for the horror survival feel.

    Another issue I felt to address was the Nemesis. If we compare it to the “Mr X” from RE2 remake, its role in the game felt more like an annoyance and repetitive. Whereas, “Mr X” from the previous game felt more like a puzzle to navigate around the map and added an element of strategy to the RE2 remake. Mr X actually added tension to the game, but here Nemesis just added frustration.

    However, there are some good points to this game, such as the graphics and Jill as the main character. Graphics are incredible like the RE2 remake and the locations in the game keep you immersed into the setting of the game. I found Jill to be badass and well voice acted, so she was just a fun character to follow throughout the main story. With her, there are still some great moments in the game.

    Overall, I recommend waiting for further reduction of price for this game if you are interested in following Capcom’s remake line of the Resident Evil series. I understand why people felt this game is best described as DLC to the previous game. I know there is a multiplayer section to add to more gameplay of the game but quite frankly, I was more interested on the single player aspect of the game.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Resident Evil 3, while not terrible, is both worse than the original Ps1 game, and the Resident Evil 2 remake, which is a crying shame, because when the game is good, it's very good.

    Resident Evil 3 is a remake of the ps1 game of the same name, and to this day, the only ps1 Resident Evil I've actually played, which is good, because while I've heard both REmake and RE2make can be both appreciated as standalone games as well as remakes of two classic titles, I can say with absolute certainty that that is not true for RE3. The main issue is obviously the length. Playing the game on Normal (before it got too hard for me and I had to move it down to Easy because I suck) the game lasted me about 4 hours, and that's with dying several times on almost every Nemesis encounter and exploring the game thoroughly for items, Where a single run of the original game lasted me about 6 hours, still not a huge amount of time, but where that becomes an invalid argument, is when the Choices come into play. Resident Evil 3 had the occasional story choice, which could alter gameplay drastically, even leading to several endings, the survival of certain characters, and a cameo by everybody's favourite character, Barry Burton. This remake however, has none of that, it's a linear experience from point A to B with little to no replayability. Resident Evil games have always been short, but they've also always had extra content and heavy replayability. RE1 had two characters and different scenarios for those characters, RE2 evolved that by having both characters stories happen at the same time with two different orders, giving you 4 whole ways to play, an RE4 had Mercenaries but was also notably longer than your standard RE game at the time. 6-13 hours is what I generally expect to get out of my RE games, taking my lack of skill into account, and depending on the playable character count. I really think RE3 remake dropped the ball on its length, but even a short game can still be great, and unfortunately RE3 stumbles there too.

    Nemesis is iconic, there's no two ways about it, his "STAAAARS" line is bone chilling and instantly recognizable, his horrible grotesque face is horrifying and exciting all at the same time, and the way he runs at you, genuinely scary in the original, even with its primitive graphics, so did they accurately reflect and evolve that like with Mr. X in the last game? Nope, not even slightly, he's way worse in fact. Whereas Mr. X was an ever present threat who could jump out at any moment and mess your day up, Nemesis is relegated to scripted sequences, making him an entirely linear threat, and therefore making him very unthreatening. He's also kind of a joke, in the original you could fight him and get a gun part out of it as a reward, but it was HARD, he was a force to be reckoned with and wouldn't go down without a fight, it made him scary because there was choice, it activated your fight or flight mode, but in the original, one grenade and he's down for the count, so disappointing. It doesn't help that Nemy doesn't even get any S.T.A.R.S kills, which is his only job, where he killed Helicopter Pilot Brad Vickers in the original, this time Brad is bitten by a zombie while Jill runs, and while I appreciate the attempt to redeem Brad for leaving his partners in the first game, it means Nemesis doesn't kill any S.T.A.R.S members because the remaining S.T.A.R.S all survive to appear in later games, so Nemesis looks comically incompetent.

    I don't hate this game though so I would like to say something nice. The final boss is badass, especially Jill firing a Railgun, it totally should have obliterated her ankles, but screw it, if Chris can punch boulders, Jill can fire railguns. I also like Carlos a lot here and his relationship with Jill, I miss his accent but he's better in almost every other way, the other Umbrella operatives are also great, Nikolai is as threatening as ever, Mikhail's final stand is great, and I also found myself really liking Tyrell, Carlos' friend, who I wished got more to do before the end.

    Overall, while not bad like I said, RE3 is the worst of the Remakes and the far worse that the original, it's a game I thin you should play, but only at a heavy discount.    … Expand

    It feels like a step back from RE2's remake and seems to be missing content from the original but I still felt that there was some enjoyment to be had while playing it. If they spent more time on it instead of developing Resistance then we probably would have had a much better game to play.

    Like other people say, only buy this game on sale. I did it, I waited a lot of time and now I bought it for a really cheap price and I can say it is short, but taking into consideration price and quality I would give it a solid 7/10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Aunque presenta puntos que me encantan (añadir un esquive como mecánica, coger objetos sin parar la acción, los nuevos tipos de zombies, los rediseños de otros enemigos...), siento que es un juego muy recortado.

    Recortado no tanto por la no inclusión de escenarios como el parque o la torre del reloj (puesto que lo que añaden me gusta más en su conjunto, como re-imaginación), sino que al juego le falta contenido para re-jugarlo (me he sacado el platino increíblemente rápido), las recompensas en la tienda están mal equilibradas, y la interacción de personajes secundarios (fuera del cuarteto Jill-Carlos-Tyrell y Nicholai), está tremendamente desaprovechado, podrían haberles dado un par de minutos de interacción sin problema.

    Parece un juego diseñado para speed-runners y precipitado. Podría haber salido mucho mejor (de hecho este Némesis me gusta mucho más que el clásico, aunque le hubiera puesto una transformación intermedia entre la 1 y la 2), pero no ha sido así.

    Al poner la tienda tan accesible (con los méritos de matar a "x" enemigos tan bien recompensados), puedes explotarlo en exceso. Pese a todo, como juego de entretenimiento, si te propones "nuz lockes" (o limitaciones propias, no recuerdo cómo se escribe), y no te fijas en el rango S, puede ser muy divertido. Tiene mucha acción concentrada, y la primera hora de juego marca mucho qué estilo vas a seguir.

    ¿Lo recomiendo? Sí. Me encanta esta franquicia. No vale 60 € o $, pero en una oferta puede ser apetitoso. Es importante que si lo comparamos con la re-imaginación de la segunda parte, está mucho menos cuidada, y que se juegue con expectativas bajas. Esperemos que estos errores que no incurren en un aumento del costo alto no se repitan en futuras entregas. Ojalá pudiera darle mejor nota, pero no se la merece.

    P.D. Aunque no es el lugar adecuado para ello, menciono por encima el RE:Resistance como algo poco cautivador, pese a ser poco de jugar en equipo, incluso yo noto que es algo que no llamará la atención en especial. Pagaría muy gustosamente un proyecto tipo Outbreak, pero esto es flojo, de 4 o así (no le hago reseña porque le he echado sólo 3 horas).    … Expand

    Even though it is a very successful game, you will feel a little disappointed. Compared to the remake of the second game, this one often loses its pace and it is impossible to get rid of the impression that there could and should have been more to this game. [Issue#303]

    After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
