    Ported directly from mobile. Its so mobile like with bigass elements. Save your money do not pay 10$ for this crap buy the original redout instead.

    Welp, if you're a huge Starfox 64 fan you could spend $10 and an afternoon in worse ways. But even as a budget title, this game will have most scratching their heads with some perplexingly bad elements and more than one crises of identity. The game can't decide if it wants to be on-rails or free-flying. The game can't decide if it had tight, satisfying controls or loose, unresponsiveWelp, if you're a huge Starfox 64 fan you could spend $10 and an afternoon in worse ways. But even as a budget title, this game will have most scratching their heads with some perplexingly bad elements and more than one crises of identity. The game can't decide if it wants to be on-rails or free-flying. The game can't decide if it had tight, satisfying controls or loose, unresponsive ones. The game can't decide if it has several repetitive missions or complex missions. Problems like this hold the game back throughout, so that soon after the initial promise wears off it becomes a bit of a slog to complete.     It’s understandable that 34BigThings would want to trade on the name that made them, Redout, but I’m not sure this spin-off prequel is the right way about it. Fans of the original Redout game will no doubt be disappointed in the flip away from futuristic racer to mundane arcade shooter. There’s some simple fun to be had but don’t go jumping into this one expecting any depth unless you want broken ankles.

    Redout Space Assault feels like two games; an enjoyable arcade shooter on rails, and a free-movement space-sim with no exploration. Glitches, unbalanced difficulty, and a lack of any worthwhile story weigh down what could have been much better.

    Most players will probably blast through Redout: Space Assault in just a few hours. It’s a game that doesn’t try to do anything special, but it provides enough entertainment, particularly if you enjoy some arcade-style space-shooting action. And for less than a tenner, that’s fair enough.
