    I thought this was going to be a chance to play a fairly bland but entertaining game again. I didn't care for multiplayer, and as you can see, my expectations were fairly low going in.

    About 5 hours in, after my second crash, the only savefile you can have was corrupted and deleted. I in turn deleted the game. So... wait for a patch, which may never come. And don't go in hoping for    I thought this was going to be a chance to play a fairly bland but entertaining game again. If they fixed the crashes and the fact that there's a chance they completely destroy your progress along with them, the game would be a 7 - 8. Typical sandbox extravaganza with pretty fun destruction physics, smashing through buildings with Mjolnir.    … Expand

    An amazing game, loved it when it first came out and love it now. Will sink many hours into this.

    It pains me to write this review cuz I am such a big fan of this game, but to remaster it and not fix some of the problems that were in the original is very frustrating. some of the same glitches on multiplayer are still in this game,the crappy matchmaking is still in this game with no server browser. This game has froze on me multiple times on the PlayStation 4. It is not an improvement but just a reskin. if you haven't played the original I highly suggest this game just for the fun on single player but if you have played it before in are expecting a Improvement on other areas not including graphics, you might be disappointed.… Expand

    .There something wrong about this remaster. They changed to much. Messed up the controls and the camera perspective.. The color of mars is even different.
    New performance is nice. But somehow the game feels more fun on 360.

    Red faction guerrilla Has one of the most amazing destruction physics in video games. but the other part of the game, driving fighting the missions are just tedious and boring, it just never comes together to makes it a wonderful game, the wonderful destruction physics lay on an average foundation

    True cult classic brought back into the limelight. A fun game if you've never played or are looking for something different. I have found a couple glitches and experienced a few game crashes that I didn't from the original but it's worth it. Love this game

You play as Alexs Mercer and are a member of the red faction.Well here we are having a look at a game from 2009 remastered and released in 2018. I remember enjoying this back in the day, but did not rate the story vey well. In terms of it being an open world game, it really fails as the map is fairly small and it is empty. Ok it's Mars I know but still they could have made it much better. You play as Alexs Mercer and are a member of the red faction. The aim of the game is to win sections of the map from the oppressive Earth defence force and ultimately drive them from the planet. The story is very bare bones and mission types can be very boring. The issue I have with this remaster is that it is still choppy when played in 4k mode, even on a ps4 pro. I had to stick with 1080p for smooth motion. This remaster also has all the problems of the original including, relentless spawning of the enemy and bullet sponge enemies. So many bullets are needed to shoot just one baddie. The fantastic destruction from geomod 2 is still here and relieves some of the games dated mechanics. If you buy this game you buy it for this, but ultimately when you finish there is not much to come back to except for a short prequel story included in the package. I tried to like this more, but sadly I could not.… Expand

    A very good game the only thing I didn't like about it was the open world I prefer red faction 1 2 and armageddon over this game but I still really enjoyed it I owned it on ps3 when it first launched I also got it for pc and 360 it is as good as all the other games in the series but I'm not a huge fan of it's open world I prefer the other games but it is still a very fun game

    There's quite a lot that I like about Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered and some parts, not so much. Particularly, the loading times, the predictable story, and how the later regions aren't much different to the beginning of the game. However, it's still a very fun destruction-based campaign that offers a great variety of missions to take on within its large open world.

    Red Faction Guerilla ReMARStered is far from perfect, but it’s fun, and it’s proof that not every game needs to have a serious, super in-depth narrative to please.
