    Я реально не понимаю комментарии людей, которые жалуются что всё так долго. Наверное, это просто злые пекари, которым лишь бы написать плохой комментарий. Я открою вам секрет, Если вам не нравится медленная ходьба, то нажмите крестик. И скажу по секрету, я НИКОГДА ещё не пользовался быстрым перемещением, оно там просто не нужно. я всегда проходил путь на лошади, ведь по пути, можно встретить интересных незнакомых людей, можешь решить их судьбу своим действиями. Единственная реальная проблема игры, это то что своими действиями ты никак не можешь поменять сам сюжет. Не можешь изменить судьбы своих товарищей    … Expand

    This game has got for a few hundred hours of a good Wild West adventure. The story is a masterpiece and online is a great addition to the great plot of the main game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. RDR2 is a flawed masterpiece. The graphics, animations, world, characters, and story are all top notch. Without going into spoiler territory I grew very fond of Arthur Morgan and Dutch has to be one of the most complex video game characters ever. However, the only thing holding it back from a perfect score is the underwhelming controls. A game like this should control better than a game that came out 6 years ago, but it doesn't. RDR2 is my favorite game of 2018 as it's a flawed masterpiece.… Expand

    Great cinematography, good story, good characters. It's slow paced but I like that.
    Poor shooting, almost all of the missions are build you go somewhere -> smth happens here -> you shoot someone.
    Mission structure seems to be a big problem but I actually really liked the game somehow

    1 - I can't run when I'm at camp. 2 - I can't fast travel from the beginning of the game. 3 - I can't skip the animation when you skin an animal.     I have also read about how many bugs there are. Of course you will find some bugs from time to time in such a game, but the amount and the severity of the bugs are sure OK. The game experience is not ruined at all.

    There are only two possible ratings for such an unprecedented milestone in the game industry: 9 and 10. I respect the 9 ratings due to the principle that there is always room for improvement, and of course they could have done some things a whole lot better (particularly on story variations depending on your choices and honor). But 10's are not about polished games with no bugs at all or easy controls, they are reserved for the few masterpieces that are released every year.     I'm not sure how long I've played now but the main story is around 17%. From what I've experienced so far:

    The game is for you if: - you like wildwest setting - you like single player story with good voice acting - you have a lot of time to do chores and menial tasks - you enjoy riding horse for 2-3 mins at a time to get from point A to point B The game is not for you if: - you    I'm not sure how long I've played now but the main story is around 17%.     - you suck at precision shooting and prefer rapid fire shooting
    - you have job/other obligation and cant afford to spend 6 hours per day playing the game
    - you like continuous engaging gameplay instead of doing chores over and over again

    Pros and Cons
    Pros
    - Good voice acting
    - Decent open world size
    - A lot of details in customization, you can change shirt, boots, hat, coat, even customizing your horse and weapons. While it does have some significance in GTA V, I just don't see it here (like I want that cool spoiler on my car but couldn't care less if my horse has long hair or spiky hair). Some people might find this appealing though.

    Cons
    - Riding system is poorly designed to say the least. You need to keep your finger on the X button all the time and it's very tiring. You can autopilot it by engaging cinematic mode but still it's very slow progress where the horse would trot leisurely. You can't leave it either because you need to be aware of your situation such as having a bunch of guys trying to kill you midway

    - Poor riding systemm combined with almost non existent feasible fast travel. You can only do it by going to a coach station (this might not the correct term) and it only works when there is a coach there. The destination is very limited and for the in game economy the price is quite steep. I have about $200 left on my pocket while holding buying a rifle - a short range passage cost 4.5 and long range cost about double. Surely not something I can use very often. So hours on the horseback it is.

    - Grindy hunting system and the weight the game put on it. It tied on everything so far, better gears, skill upgrade, special equipment, and so on. This will takes a lot of your time and you will hate every second of it.
    a) animal you're looking for is marked by image on the map. You go there and they might/might not exist

    b) you need perfect skin to get anything out of it and for it you need perfect animal, perfect shot, at a perfect spot. The game randomize the animal condition so you need to use your binocular from afar, mark the perfect one if you find can it, getting closer on your knees, and hoping for a perfect shot. Missed the shot and they will scamper to god knows where.

    c) Useless tracking system. You can choose to track your target but when there are a lot of activities the you will also see other tracks and other animals highlighted. Not to mention the trails is difficult to see and gone within seconds.

    d) Seeing small animals is difficult, let alone hunting them and landing perfect shot. They're always running between grasses and difficult to see.

    e) On top of that, progression is tied to hunting. Want better gear? hunt. Want more deadeye skill? hunt. Want more of everything? hunt. It's basically designed that there is no way to skip it.

    Still have some motivation to continue but I don't know if it's enough to get me to finish the game. I only have 1-2 hours to play and most of the time I want real gameplay on those 2 hours, not hiding behind bushes trying to headshoot a deer before my hand shaking for drawing bowstring 2 seconds too long.    … Expand

    Obra maestra.
    Una historia única con una ambientación espectacular que hace vivir en el oeste de la época. No apto para todos ya que es un juego pausado x esa vertiente a la simulación pero a la vez realista que le sientan genial tratándose del juego que es.

    Несомненно, эта игра шедевр. Правда немного затянута, но в вестернах без этого не обойтись. Саундтреки шикарны. Ни капли не жалею о потраченном на нее времени.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is best of 8th generation so far. Ultımately detailed open world, very good written story and storyline, memorable characters, remarkable ost, perfect gunplay and perfect open world activities. This game is pure art. Pure. One of the best games ı've ever played.

    Хочется смотреть на каждое взбирание на лошадь, на каждый след о снега, на долгое освежовыввание животных. Пример того как игра может делаться с душой и нереальной любовью. Уважение.

    It's very simple. Not everyone will be to "understand" this world of the wild west and its atmosphere: with beautiful landscape and extraordinary details, but as viscous as a bubble gum, the plot. Just boring. Sorry, Rockstar, but after diving in the game, realism is a little bored.

It feels strange not to give this game a 10, seeing HOW superior it is to most other competitors. However, an essential core part of it, the story, fell in my opinion a bit short of excellent. It was kinda too standard or predictable at many points, and did not really grab or surprised me too often. Some characters are interesting, mainly Dutch, but it was not enough for me to consider this story line one to remember. The other element that I found boring was the GTA-like frequent shootouts, with the usual shoot and cover mechanic, taking down hundreds of enemies with ease. I understand they needed to maintain the action fueled by these moments, but I would have preferred some shorter, less crowded gunfights more based on pure skill or smarts rather than just abusing the shooting/cover mechanics that we used so much in previous GTAs.
    Still, the rest of the game more than makes up for it. It is a master piece for the most part.    … Expand

    When I started my journey I wanted to do one thing and one thing only. I wanted to play it like it was GtaV. My plan was to go around murdering everyone. I did that through the first 2 chapters and then I realized people were treating my like I was an animal. I wanted to change things and I wanted people to treat me good. So that’s what I did. I got my honor to max and boy did it feelWhen I started my journey I wanted to do one thing and one thing only. I wanted to play it like it was GtaV. My plan was to go around murdering everyone.     Realism for realism sake is a fine idea but became oh so bothersome if you apply it to a 100+ hour game. The game encourage you to immerse yourself in its overly sized map and content but you find yourself spending a good portion of your time just going from point A to point B.

    Having played this in a time where I got a lot of free time to burn makes me evaluate it now at the state I am    Realism for realism sake is a fine idea but became oh so bothersome if you apply it to a 100+ hour game. The game encourage you to immerse yourself in its overly sized map and content but you find yourself spending a good portion of your time just going from point A to point B.

    Having played this in a time where I got a lot of free time to burn makes me evaluate it now at the state I am in. 2 or 3 hours of playing time will actually net you only 30 minutes of actual progress since you will faff about.

    Story-wise, it packs a punch harder than the first game but the player choice in decisions leads to just a few different cutscenes which make people tend to go for the happy ending rendering the decision choices moot.

    Nothing revolutionary in the 3rd person shooter battle mechanics and with the auto-aim as default (gameplay suffers if its disabled) then headshotting goons is a lot easier which makes upgrade of weapons also useless.

    Side stories are interesting and great in the typical Rockstar way.

    All in all a good experience but with lots of "time extenders" that in a way im thankful they didnt went the Ubisoft way of selling time freaking savers.    … Expand

    this games story is good but after the story and little side missions, this game is an absolute bore. You are treated with an open mindless map, the npcs are smart but they are useless after the story. Ya you can go online but that is pay 2 win **** Its been an over year not a single dlc has been released. This game is below avg. You are better of playing the GTA4.

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]

    Amazing not only for Western lovers. No other game has probably offered so many options to express yourself in the open world, and at the same time did not have such an interesting, rough and moving story. A magnificent experience, with a slightly slower start. [Issue#291]
