    The world of RDR2 is huge and the graphics is awesome. The game-play it is ok overall if you get used with horse riding by tapping X all the time. There is no fast travel, but the train or wagon can save a part of your trip, if is too long, but costs money. By riding you can admire the amazing landscape, encounter weather changes, some additional quests (help somebody, hunt a legendaryThe world of RDR2 is huge and the graphics is awesome.     Brilliant story, and character development throughout the story as it unfolds. Strongly recommend this game to anyone who is fond of open-world, and the Wild Wild West.

    My favorite game of all time. A little sluggish on the movement and the inventory system could have been better. Everything else about the game, I loved it. The in depth details even down to a healthy or unhealthy Arthur. I am a HUGE Zelda fan, but this game tops all.

    Loved this game its immersive as hel and, very slow paced. You wil never get bored in this game IF you like slow paced games, great atory telling and loved the hunting especialy.

    Realmente este juego es una obra maestra! pero aun tiene algunas fallas en algunas misiones pero cada juego tiene su error , los graficos el paisaje todo! tiene casi de todo el mejor juego de rockstar hasta ahora!

    This game is more slow paced than the Grand Theft Auto games, but in my opinion, it's better...

    The weapons are fun to use.
    Being able to customise them is pretty fun.

    The story is probably the best in a game so far, it could've been a film story.

    This game also added a first person mode, which I always seem to spend my time in.

    I think this game is one of the greatest games I’ve played the sad thing is I would never play this game again. It’s just too long and such a hassle to get through but once you’re through you’ll notice how good of a game it is graphics gameplay open world characters especially the characters Great game and if you’re wishing the sink hours upon hours in a game get this.

Al principio el juego no me llamaba mucho la atención pero luego de un tiempo decidí probarlo, y no me arrepiento den los más mínimo. El juego superó altamente mis expectativas; el apartadotecnico es impresionante. Nunca había visto algo así en un juego de mundo abierto. También, la atención al detalle es enfermiza y ayudaRed Dead Redemption 2 es de lo mejor que hizo Rockstar, sin dudas. In this game, you play as Arthur Morgan, set 10 years before the original game. The forefront of this game is the insane detail of events and actions that make the game feel alive and breathing. Everyone feels weirdly "human". You can choose to have low honor and kill innocent people, however, after a while, you can actually feel somewhat attached to the people you kill. People will also treat you different based off your honor level. This game is visually stunning, sounds beautiful, has memorable characters, and gives a challenge for those who want to 100% the game.

    This game would be a 10/10, however, the "exotics" collectable was so tedious for most people to collect, myself included, that a 100% takes forever and just doesn't feel like it's worth it. There are also a few "challenges" (Horseman 9, Gambler 10 etc), that will certainly take hours to complete. It's not challenging, just annoying.

I spent countless hours just wandering around the woods and mountains. Saint Denis is vivid. However, the gameplay - specially the missions - get to be really repetitive. Missions are pretty straightforward and mostly get you to doOne of the best narratives and main character in videogame history by far. It's impossible not get attached to Arthur Morgan.     The game started without too much attraction, to a point that I wanted to give up. However I read somewhere that it gets better, and it did! The second half of the game is really captivating. I'm glad that I finished the game. Story 10/10

    The only thing I don't like about this game is that it is too real. Your horse will fall or die if you hit an obstacle, which is very annoying (I lost my expensive horse that I have been using for a long time after getting hit by the train!) , you will get arrested when your horse hit someone else.    … Expand

    Yeah I'm 2 years late but I just got into this series. After playing RD1 I had to download RD2 after seeing it on sale. I LOVE it! A beautiful game and addicting. I found myself playing for several hours at a time when I didn't plan to. Not too many games get me to do that. Wonderful yet predictable story but I won't spoil it. The only negative is the game is TOO long! After 60+ hoursYeah I'm 2 years late but I just got into this series. After playing RD1 I had to download RD2 after seeing it on sale. I LOVE it! A beautiful game and addicting. I found myself playing for several hours at a time when I didn't plan to. Not too many games get me to do that. Wonderful yet predictable story but I won't spoil it. The only negative is the game is TOO long! After 60+ hours playing the story you have a 2 part epilogue. It just seems like overkill. Kinda makes you not want to finish.     I do enjoy this game like the first one Red Dead and I really thought it gonna change a lot despite the graphics. The story in Red Dead Redemption 2 simply one of the best stories even though the game quite slow and bit massive it still fun to play as the world so immersive. Simply Rockstar does what Rockstar has done over and over again a masterpiece.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolute masterpiece. Read Dead Redemption II is one of the best games I've ever played in my life, and there have been a few. Unfortunately, I didn't play Red Dead Redemption I and that's why I didn't know much about the story of Dutch and the others acting from first game, but that didn't stop me from falling in love with all the characters immediately. I'm not the biggest lover of westerns, whether movies or games. Anyway, this game completely changed my mind about it. The atmosphere is great, the soundtrack is guilty, and not to mention dubbing. It's one of the few games where I really wanted to explore every single piece of the map. All the side quests are great and the main storyline is even better. Anyway, I praised the game now. Now, to come to the disadvantages, which are not so much, but they will definitely ruin your gaming experience. I don't really understand why they gave them a reputation. The only thing I noticed were other dialogues, such as when Arthur dies and you had a good reputation, so others will remember you in a good way and vice versa. And that brings me to the second minus. Why do you even give functions there, such as robbing passers-by or whole shops. I just never understood Tp. You are a bandit, literally your livelihood or you want to "work" depends on robbing people. But almost by no means can you rob people or a business without anyone noticing. And if someone notices you, your reputation will drop, which you don't want because you want to finish it on the so-called "good" Arthur. He would have welcomed the fact that if they had put their reputation away completely and if others would remember you in a good or bad way, the point determined how many side missions or important decisions you had made. I would have a few minuses that have happened to me only a few times, but they are just annoying. E.g. When I was doing the main storyline, I played a great soundtrack there and I rode a horse. I accidentally bumped into and fell. And when I started riding again, the music stopped and played even though I was only halfway through the road. Sure, it's mostly my fault that I can't ride, but the game just has to reckon with. And what bothers me more is when you ride a horse in Saint Denis and you run into OMIL someone, so it has no problem pulling a gun at you and starting to shoot. But no one solves it. If you only dare to punch him after he started firing, all the cops around you will run up to you and arrest you. This is downright a searing mechanism. Well, to sum it all up. Read Dead Redemption II is an absolutely excellent game that I recommend to everyone, even those who do not like westerns, because you will just fall in love with this. The story is great and it made me turn a blind eye to the smaller bugs and give Read Dead Redemption II nine and half out of ten.… Expand

    Jamás he visto un juego con tanto nivel de detalle en todo. Podría ser perfecto... si no fuera porque le sobran un buen puñado de horas y el input lag que tiene (como en todos los juegos de Rockstar) es terrible hasta que te acostumbras. El epílogo sobra por completo. A qué esperan a lanzar un parche para nueva generación?

    I personally didn't find any negative things about this game, but the story is very long. And the game is somethimes a little slow passed. I liked these things, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. But if you do, this is THE game for you!    … Expand

    I think the game is the best game, but after a while, riding a horse is very boring when going to a distant place because the fast travel in the game is only in the camp. I broke one point for this but it deserves ten points too

    Omg what for a game a love this. I am not a guy who loves those Time( wild West...) but the Story and the open world are so good that I loved this game for it. The Story is the best part of this game. Arthur is a special character for me the story was better and better until the end was the best part so dramatically and beautiful I love it. Great work Rockstar games

Incredible, can I say.... groundbreaking details, wonderful story with likable characters. Well, it has it's cons - game doesn't respect time of it's player, but still it's worth playing and your time. Even if this review is 2 years late and everyone done playing it etc.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Played on PS4 2 years after release, have not finished main story but has played significant amount of time in multiplayer.

    Positive:
    • Graphics - the first time I turned this game on I was greatly impressed by the graphics and couldn't help but take lots of pictures with its photo mode. The lighting was superb and added to the ambiance of the game at whatever time and place. The colour scheme was well used to simulate temperature from either a snowy mountain or dusty plains.
    • NPCs - NPCs are not perfect but they are well programmed to the point where they act as how their person would act in a situation you give them such as greeting, antagonize, bumping into them, pulling out a weapon, etc.
    • Content - Rich content, lots of things to do and the world is filled with unique events.
    • Chance to earn gold bars in-game which can also be purchased with real money

    Negative:
    • Multiplayer connection not the most stable but handled well playing between China and Australia
    • Would be nice to have a passive system like GTAV to stop players from bullying someone who just wants to chill out.
    • Rarely updates for special seasons/occasions, boring for multiplayer

    Final Verdict:
    Definitely earned its awards and praises - I didn't play the game on release so I may be biased, but this game is definitely worth buying. Only play Online if you have friends to play with or can get along well with other players enough to start a posse.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Because this game has everything I want and need when it comes to video games. Everytime I see these background It puts me in the mindset of a Bob Ross painting.This game also does something many games can’t do… it actually has good main and side missions… something many game studios neglect, for example Ubisoft … this studio is the godfather of pointless side missions… they give you 3 side missions but they spread them across the map so they can appear different.the combat is also satisfying mainly because of the aim assist tho.this games chapters and Amazing until we reach chapter five which has to be the most annoying boring bull crap chapter out of all of them because it really does nothing interesting it kinda makes the game go from realistic amazing and fun to being a survival island escape flash game and then goes right back to normal in the blink of an eye and then some more nonsense crap happens, but I will admit there is a horse riding scene is this game that blows me away because of how cinematic it is.When we reach chapter 6 ( the final chapter ) I get worried because the first 4 or so missions aren’t that good… but then the game does a complete 180 and returns back to what made the first 4 chapters so good and gave me one of the most emotional endings in videogame history.     Audio - Os sons ambientes são perfeitos, quando vc ta na mata a noite, da a sensação de estar ali, os animais, a atmosfera, tudo fica muito imersivo, a trilha sonora eu achei perfeita também.

    I have played this game for 100ish hours on PC and some other big number on PS4. So firstly I want to start off with the things I liked about this game. The story always finds a way to surprise you and that makes it more interesting, but I would say this game isnt for you if you dont like slow paced games, but I would give it a try since I always played really fast paced games but I ended up enjoying RDR2. The game also features a really good open world that I never found my self getting bored from, since the map is big, there are a lot of side missions AND there are a bunch of animals, horses, plants and flowers you can find throughout the world so there is a lot you can do in the open world. If that wasnt enough for you, you can also go out hunting for animals for their meat and pelt or you can chase down other outlaws and bring them in for a reward. This game has an eye for attention to detail as well, which is just really impressive for a video game. For example your facial hair and hair grows throughout the game and you can shave it whenever you want. On top of that the game never lacked any customization IMO either. Although I would say there arent that many clothes you can pick from which was kind of disappointing. But you can customize your gun alot and you also have a good choice of different hair styles to choose from.

    But just like any other game it has its downsides. Firstly while playing through the game I found out that the hair in this game has some bugs. For example whenever I was in darker areas Arthurs hair would change color in an unrealistic way, and when I was in lighter areas his hair would just be too bright. I didnt see many problems in terms of bugs in the game but I did encounter a few while playing the game but nothing game-breaking.

    I would say this game is definitely worth playing and I would give it a 9,5 out of 10 because the horses are just kind of too slow for the big map so if you are going exploring it can get quite boring.    … Expand

    RDR2 captures an essence, of what is rather used liberally now, ‘realism’ with almost every activity you do in-game has its own animation, with cinematography being just right and not over doing any cut scene and action scenes that just compliment the well written story of this masterpiece of a game. Call it carefully crafted sound design that makes you feel that you are in the world of RDR2 or visually astonishing graphics that make you stand in awe between the game to take screenshots, but there is something in this game that makes it one of the most immersive games made till date. The combat may not be the strongest part of this game but its good and versatile enough to make you cross your 40-60hr playtime, head shots in slow motion and basting shot guns towards enemies will keep you interested to the end of the game but it will be the story, graphics, and music that will carry you there with joy, main protagonist Arthur Morgan is lovable and almost relatable to many people as well. If we keep the technical standpoints aside, RDR2 is still probably the most perfect game made in this genre, but there is still more to it than what meets the eye. Writing about any game makes us feel like, “woah this part is cool but this could have been better so that this game could have been suggested to this genre fans” but writing about RDR2 just makes us think that this game could not have been more perfect, it’s a very long game for sure, and the pacing is something that doesn’t cater to everyone but regardless of your preferences Red Dead Redemption 2 is a must try to say the very least.    … Expand

Hunting, eating, doing chores around the camp, side missions, cooking, playing poker, story missions , and so much more. The graphics are absolutely beautiful; in fact the best I’ve seen in a game. The story is phenomenal in almost every aspect as well. I definitely recommend it

    70+ hours of story, which is really long and makes the money worth.
    Alive Open World, like everything is still there, even if you didnt exist. The dialogues, encounters, attention to detail, AI is top notch.
    A lot of mysteries and easter eggs, which people discuss and solve to this day.
    Decent hunting mechanics
    Realistic stuff like not carrying an arsenal in your back pocket, cleaning guns, eating, feeding horse, brushing. All this adds to immersion.
    Barely any bugs and glitches on base game. Newer updates introduces bugs and glitches, thats why I play on 1.00.
    A lot of different horses and guns to choose from

    Cons:
    Really slow paced, especially in the first few chapters, it picks up the pace in the later chapters.
    Barely to no mission freedom
    Sometimes, the animations can get tedious
    Clunky movement and Gunplay
    Really long horse rides, and fast ravel requires a lot of money to unlock.
    Takes a lot of Hard Dive Space, the PS4 barely handles the game, it heats really fast. PS4 Pro or PS5 fixes this problem.

    Overall, I love the game. The world is so beautiful. The game gets so thirlling in the second half. Everything sums up to the first game. Attention to detail. Attention to detail. Attention to detail. I don't like the fact that there is no mission freedom, like zero. If you are patient, and are ok with not very great gunplay, it's a must have. If you come fro GTA, Fortnite or Call of Duty, I do not recommend it, they will get bored because it's slow.    … Expand

I can't even one new character that has been introduced after chapter 4 but after the red dead redemption mission the story gets much better I probably would've stopped playing it because the story was the thing that pushed me to do missions but as I said after story gets bad the gameplay should carry that part of the game but the combat system like the story is superb but after halfway, through the game, it just gets boring with ancient aim system and a cover system that's worse than the first game that came out seven years ago at the start these are just minor issues but as the game goes on these minor issues starts to turn into negatives. There's a lot of stuff I didn't talk about because there is so much like gambling, hunting, having a bounty on your head and bounty hunters coming to get your head randomly, you need to feed Arthur and bathe him, an honour system where if you do something good you get honour but if you do a bad thing you lose honour and based on your honour you can get discount at stores or just people hating you, you needing to take care of the camp by donating food or money or robbing a train when it's out in the open whenever you want like there's still so many stuff I can talk about but I will leave it to you to discover the details on your own I definitely recommend this game but if you're just starting to play games this might be too much for you.… Expand

The first game is easily one of my favorites of the PS3 gen and for the most part I wasn't disappointed. I'll get what I don't like out of the way first - the gameplay movement can be annoying as the realistic physics that the characters have to work with can make them hard to move around in a comfortable way. The shooting mechanics could have been better for 2018, however I can say that you do get used to it. For problems with the story, the only thing I didn't like was Chapter 5, it's out of left field and didn't feel like it needed to be there. Now for the positives! The main reason I love this game as much as I do is the story, there are very few games that I can feel truly invested in. The characters, not just the lead, but most of the side characters are very well written and believable. Arthur Morgan is easily Rockstar's greatest character, from his growth as a character to the very end of his story. Arthur truly has an internal conflict that I believed and understand on a human level going from a less caring gang member to a person that will give up everything to give the people that deserve it a second chance. Throwing a curve ball of illness in to the story gave him a real reason to change along with Dutch, the gang leader, going down a bad path that Arthur doesn't agree with. Even though Dutch is the person that Arthur trusted with all his heart and having to choose to go against his judgment makes Arthur feel very human. On top of that you have a great cast portraying side characters from John Marston, the protagonist of the first game, being unrecognizable and show how Arthur helped him become a man. Along with all the new characters like Charles, Hosea, Bill, Javier, Lenny, and yes even Micah, they all have well rounded personalities, problems, and motivations. From the start to finish RDR2 I was invested and excited to see where the story went. The game has problems but I can forgive them to have such a moving a relatable story in a game. If there is a Red Dead 3 I'll be there with open arms. The only reason it's not a 10 is the problems I have with it. In addition, the only microtransactions in game are for the multiplayer which I don't play or even care for.… Expand

    Immaculate attention to detail. Amazing story and acting. Stunning graphics.

    I did not seek difficulty, a non-bulky control scheme, or a fast pace in RDR2. Although a better aim system would have been great, it was not a turn-off for me.

    This game is incredible and mind-blowing to me, and clearly to many others too. The motion capture for the characters are vibrant, realistic and professionally done. The voice acting is amazing and engaging. the controls and overall gameplay are incredible and feel so smooth to play. The graphics are gorgeous, and some of the most impressive gaming has ever seen. Everybody feels and sounds real, as if I'm really interacting with the characters in the game. There are so many missions, side-quests, things to do, and places to explore in this vibrant world, and I couldn't ask for anything more. The hunting is in-depth, where you need different guns and different types of ammunition for nearly each species and breed of animal, you can skin the animals graphically, or keep the carcass. You can set up a campfire and cook the meat, then take the pelt to camp to craft, or to a butcher to sell. The fishing is relaxing and engaging, with great controls, and satisfying catches. You can use different baits and lures for different environments, and nearly every lake, swamp or river has a different breed of fish for you to try and conquer and cook. However, this game is not devoid of flaws. Firstly, the honour system. It's too sensitive to positive actions, and far too forgiving for negative ones. If you throw fish back into the water after catching them, you gain a tiny bit of honour. This can turn gaining honour too easy, and into a sort of grind. After you massacre a town, you can go fish a little and the game basically forgets you ever murdered those innocent people and hard-working lawmen. Secondly, bounty hunting. It's limited. There's only so many bounties you can hunt, and sure, they all serve their own cinematic, well-written storyline, but It would have been better in my own opinion if they added an unlimited array of bounties, for example, you walk into a sheriff's office, and find 2-4 bounties on the board. You can choose which ones you want to pursue, and they're all at different prices for different offenses. They could be travelling by wagon, by horse, hiding in a camp or base, or even on a train, leading to a great variety of approaches to each bounty. The same issue arises to a smaller degree with stagecoach holdups. There's a certain number of them, all with different pay-outs, but you will eventually run out of scores to pull off. Sure, they're available out in the wild, but it would be nicer if you could do harder missions with higher pay-outs as you please. Despite all these small nit-picks, this game is still an absolute wonder, and has so much replay ability that people are still starting new games, creating content and broadcasting the story mode avidly to this day, nearly 3 years after release. Well done to Rockstar Games for creating such a masterpiece of an experience. Outlaws for life.… Expand

    The story for this game was absolutely amazing! But the online is kind of disappointing, still fun though. Red dead online can get grindy, but if this review was just for the story it would be a 10! Definitely recommend!

    But be aware that if you don’t like long story this game might not be for you, because sometimes you want it to end but it still continues, although it is worth it (at least for me :) )

    Considering this game is on PS4 it runs really well for it's graphical limits composed by the PS4, the scenery is beautiful and the game is decently realistic compared to Rockstar's other games such as GTA. The detail as mentioned before makes the game really good. The game implements the feature of a horse pretty good as compared to games like Assassins Creed, the horse feature feels more realistic but there are still flaws with horses in this game which I'll explain later in this review. Although even though the game is really good, there are some really annoying aspects of it such as your main way to transport will be through a horse where you'll have to spam the x button across a very large map which is annoying and time consuming considering the horse you have has stamina. Red Dead Online is technically a different game kind of to me so I'll not be reducing my score because of my thoughts on Red Dead Online but Red Dead Online in my opinion feels stale and is not too enjoyable, and I've sunk in 10s of hours into Red Dead Online but it feels very tedious and is not as fun as GTA Online for me which really lets the game down as I believe the Singleplayer is so good and that they could've made the Online mode of it a really enjoyable experience but instead it feels very grindy and tedious. Like even though GTA is technically grindy and tedious, I feel more rewarded when I grind out a heist in GTA as I can buy way more and enjoy my gameplay experience better in it then I can in Red Dead Redemption as you can buy less items that are enjoyable in Red Dead Online but none the less it's still an alright experience if you have spare time on your hand to try it out. So all rounded up, I really enjoyed this game and it is one of my most favourite games of all time even though I was not intending on the purchase of this game but I'm glad I stumbled upon this game and I would recommend this game to everyone out there as it is a good game that doesn't need you to play the 1st part of it to understand this game as you'll get the grasp of the game really quick… Expand

    RDR2 is a great open world game that deserves all the credit it gets, and even tho it’s an open world game the place where the games shines the most is with its story. I cared about Arthur and the gang, and got sad when the story of the game eventually ended. Each member of the gang are unique and fun to interact with while staying at the camp or doing missions. A lot of people that I’ve heard playing this game thought that the games missions are pretty repetitive and gets boring after a while. Personally I didn’t have anything against it and liked how most of the missions were set up.

    So I have already mentioned it in this review, but red dead redemption 2 is an open world game, with a huge map to explore and have fun in. There are so many things to find in this world , but the most interesting to me are all the small Easter eggs and details that make the world feel alive, and like the creators really put everything they got into this game. A lot of these Easter eggs and details aren’t even things you’ll notice while playing the game. Like how there is a small chance that a small bird might sit on the back of a deer. An Easter egg that I found was that if you followed a bunch of signs around the city of saint Denis you will find a vampire, that you can kill and get a special dagger from. Which was a pretty cool and unique experience found in this massive game. Like I said earlier there are a lot of these Easter eggs in the game and I’ve heard about people finding giants, time travelers, killer robots, wolf men and more. Which I think makes red dead some of the most well put together games of the last generation of video games.

    Other things to do in this open landscape is hunting and fishing. Which were great ways to spend your time while on the way of a long journey. There are also legendary animals in this game which are really fun to hunt and track down since they are unique from the rest of the animals.

    Another topic the game gets praised for is the graphics, and I think red dead redemption 2 has some of the best and realistic graphics I’ve seen in a video game. It is easy to understand that this game took 8 years to make, considering how breathtaking the game looked and worked. A thing that I personally didn’t like that much about this game was the fact that the gameplay is suppose to be as realistic as possible. Which ended up making the game feel a bit overwhelming in the start, but is something you get used to while playing the game. Over all RDR2 is not perfect, but is really close to it. There is probably something I forgot to mention considering how big RDR2 is of a game. I think it is a game that everyone that has the opportunity should check out.    … Expand

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]
